Absolute worst most irresponsible pharmacy. Was told 2 consecutive days in a row my prescription would be delivered. They called today to confirm the delivery. Came home to find NO delivery and double the charge the confirmed on the phone on my cc. JOKE! They operate like a lemonade stand. The pharmacists here are consistently going out of their way to accommodate me whenever I have issues with my prescriptions or having any questions. Their also great about trying to find coupons for me which is very thoughtful! read more

Convenient location but nothing more. No service whatsoever. I asked for assistance in finding some over-the-counter medicine and no one in the pharmacy dept was willing to help me find it. I then asked the front end employees and they weren't willing to walk back and help me find what I was looking for either. Don't come here if you're actually looking for assistance. read more

Do not use their pharmacy!! They repeatedly made mistakes on the insurance (even billing insurance companies we never had!) and wouldn't/couldn't correct their errors when they resulted in a higher copay. On one occasion it turned out they charged four times as much, because of their own repeated insurance mistake, and they didn't refund me. They also refused to replace defective products. The pharmacy also keeps short hours, not convenient to actually getting your prescriptions when you need them. Incompetence on incompetence -- use any of the other pharmacies in the neighborhood. read more

Sales associates are more hospitable than the managers are. Weird right? Anywho, decent selection of items. The only downfall is that they rely on self-checkout so there's always a line. They should invest in more workers to heighten customer interaction, bu tthis seems to be a CVS cooperate decision. This place is big, has everything, and open 24 hours. Only bad thing is the check out counters which is DIY. It's rather confusing and inefficient with employees spending their times assisting the technologically illiterate. If only they could just have a traditional human cashier - it would be far quicker and more efficient. read more

Can't say there was anything special with my experience at this particular CVS. Large selection of store items, but inventory containers are routinely damaged and look like they have no problem putting them on the shelves at full price. I do mean full price because it is city prices. Staff is not necessarily unhelpful, but don't seem particularly psyched to be working at this location. I do not use the pharmacy, but nothing is drawing me in either. Only one register is open so you should be comfortable with self check out. They do seem to have somebody monitoring those stations, luckily, because self check out machines are not exactly patient and customer friendly... read more

This CVS Pharmacy is clean and large in size compared to other CVS stores I've seen in the area. This store relies on a host of electronic check-out cashiers, so the check out process can be either fast or frustrating. There is only one real cashier and that desk is not always manned because the cashier is troubleshooting the electronic cashiers. This store also has a photo lab and they tend to be reliable. This store is on the crosstown bus line. Get off on 3rd Avenue. CVS offers a lot of sales, in addition to discounts and coupons, so be sure to get a savings card and to save the coupons on your receipt. I have gotten amazing deals by using my CVS discounts. Just the other day I used a $6 off coupon on my entire purchase with no restrictions. Coupled with the sale price of the items I got $40 worth of items (Campbell's soup, Kellogg's cereal, Dove soap, etc.) for about $15.00. I can't say it enough...use the coupons and the discount card! The pharmacy staff is professional. I had a prescription filled here regularly and did not have a negative experience. I got my flu shot here too and that was quick and easy. This store has a fair selection of canned and boxed grocery items, but does not sell vegetables and fruit. There is a refrigerated section that also sells ice cream, some frozen foods and milk. This store also sells a selection of pharmacy, household, healthcare and make-up items. There is a recently expanded Duane Reade store about half a block west of this CVS store on the corner of 34th and 3rd. That store has very large and sells a selection of pharmacy, make-up, household and health care items, but it now also sells a wide selection of grocery items. They sell eggs, soy & almond milk, vegetables, fruit, pastries, frozen foods (pizza, waffles, dinner, breakfast), in addition to canned foods, bread and condiments. The customer service in that DR store is not as good as the customer service at this CVS Pharmacy. read more

I just went to this store to pick up my prescription amoxicilin, the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. they told me it'll be around 30min or so so I should stroll around the store a bit. called me 10min later and everything was ready. very nice and quick service, I highly recommend this cvs. read more

Unfortunately terribly bad pharmacy service in an otherwise convenient location. Have had multiple experiences here in attempts to pick up prescriptions where the pharmacy staff is rude, doesn't seem to know what they're doing or care to assist in figuring out an issue in order for you to receive your prescriptions. I have auto refills on and came in one evening to pick them up (after numerous calls from Cvs regarding the prescriptions as avail to pick up) and was advised that I had already picked them up (which I had not) and that since I had already "picked-up" my refills that I'd have to wait a month before insurance could cover them. As I was leaving on a trip the next day, with no prescriptions, I asked if they could call my insurance and/or give me a small emergency amount as I can't cut them cold turkey. She advised that she could do neither and that I'd have to resolve it with the insurance. Fast forward I spoke to my insurance two days later as the next day was a travel day, & the 34th street pharmacy marked my prescriptions as filled even when I didn't pick them up & that they, the pharmacy had to fix the error they had made on their end. Luckily, I had been in Vegas and there was a CVS on the strip that was more than willing to fix the mistake and issue me my prescriptions. Don't trust these people with your medicine. read more

Pharmacy review - Every time I come in, no matter which doctor I am coming in from, they tell me they haven't received my prescription yet. They say it takes 20 minutes to receive when they send it electronically...yet, I've showed up an hour after the doctor sends it and they still say i will need to call my doctor. This pharmacy is the worst. After filling my prescription online I've come to the pharmacy to find that not only is the prescription not ready but, that they can't fill it for over an hour. This has happened multiple times. Further when I picked up my medication last month I was told that I had one additional refill. When I tried to pick that refill up today, they told me there had been a mistake and that I had no more refills. Now I'm stranded without my meds. read more

Pharmacy is useless! I tried to have a prescription filled and the pharmacist response was "This is a schedule drug sir we can't just give it to you. We are out!" I then said fine when can I come back to pick it up when you have it. "We can't give out the information and we can't tell you what CVS does have it. I used to always shop at this store but my experience the other night made me decide to switch to another pharmacy. I went in to pick up a prescription and the woman working in the pharmacy decided to ring up a couple who had $65 worth of stuff ( about 20 items), They hadn't picked up a prescription. The counters and registers in the front of the store were empty. I told the cashier that I thought that if they take customers like that--without a prescription __ the amount should be limited. She agreed. I later called the manager and his response was, "How would you feel if you wanted items rung up.?" Thanks very much. I told him that I would have gone to the front of the store like everyone else. I also let him know that since that policy will remain in effect I will be getting prescriptions elsewhere. Also the DIY cash registers are hopeless .It seems like 1 out of 3 people need assistance and it's not their fault. read more

absolutely awful experience. was told prescription would be ready in 10-20 minutes.. ended up waiting 70 for it. wrong prescription was filled but since the line of people waiting for prescriptions was already in double digits i decided to leave and attempt to remedy to situation the following day. the pharmacists were rude and not helpful and had to be told several times to tend to the line of people waiting at the desk. they were too busy socializing and fooling around. i called the following day for help with my prescription to see what my options were and was met with attitude - isnt the customer always right? - any ways i asked to speak to the manager and was told just one second theyre right here and then was hung up on. would give zero stars if possible. my doctor also spoke to the pharmacist several times and said the staff was being difficult and clearly didnt know what they were doing bc they kept calling back with questions and different irrelevant problems which obviously added in the delay of the filling. read more
