After a fun midnight visit to ER for one of the kids...this place gets 3 stars for being open 24-7. I deducted 2 for making me wait 30 mins at 2am with my double ear infection kid while the pharmacist finished his lunch break (as we watched him no less. Sorry,not sorry). This is by far, the BEST PHARMACY I have ever gone to on the East coast and West coast ! (Comparison based on Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and New York- all places l have resided.) This CVS has everything. My son had a stretch where he needed diabetic creams, socks, bandages and you name it- this CVS had it. It even even more products for Diabetics than l even knew existed ! The Staff (Craig) found what l had asked about and kindly explained the products to me. CVS keeps up with the cutest seasonal items and this includes jewelry, mats, clothing, seasonal trimmings, etc. In the make-up the department, this CVS offers an amazing selection with knowledgeable staff to help you make sections. Because l frequent this CVS often, l seek out help and information from Susan and Craig in the the night hours and Danielle in the daytime. I so appreciate people who are knowledgeable and dedicated to their profession and actually care about the customers. This is without a doubt the slowest pharmacy I've ever been to.I've been using this store for the last 22yrs and apart from a revamp of the interior (so all the regulars had to reorient themselves in there) nothing has changed.It doesn't matter what time of day you go in there there is always a line at the pharmacy counter. I went there yesterday around 1pm and there were 8 people waiting in line and I waited at least 15 minutes to get served and some poor lady who was waiting at the counter when I got there was still waiting when I left! read more

This is the second time they've notified me that my prescription is ready and I go for them to tell me they don't have that prescription even available. Don't send notifications that it's filled if you don't even have it in stock.... A waste of my time. read more

Compared to most rite-aids, I will pick CVS for products and cleanliness of store, staff, etc. some Rite Aids are nice too though. Rite aid vs. cvs : cvs has more sales and more cash back. Like it over rite-aid in terms of their rewards programs. Biggest issue with this cvs location is the self checkout. I hate it. I have yet to get through it with out needing a staff person to follow finish checkout due to sensitive scanners. I try to go to the one check out line and they pull me out to 'assist' me in self check out. Please cvs consider, I like to be checked out and if your self pay sucks, stop using it so much. Was just visiting the cvs location because It was the only 24hr pharmacy in my area. While shopping I decided to have a drink of my water and an employee immediately freaked out saying I need to put my mask on right away and that I can not drink while in the store. When I asked for his name he covered his name tag and told me that I he didn't need to give it to me. He then took it off so I was unable to get his name. I asked to speak to a manager which he said he was. He then said his name is David but would not provide the store id or his last name. He then offered to give me a mask which he grabbed bare handed and tried to give it to me. I told him that I would be more then happy to wear his mask as long as he allowed me to pick it up. It's not very sanitary to give someone a mask you touched bare handed. He then started calling me Karen and harassing my wife by verbally abusing her and intimidating her by blocking her from walking down the aisle. This is absolutely unacceptable for a grown man to bully a female. He then said to just "get the F**k out of my store". I asked for the store id number as well as corporate phone number to file a complaint and when I went to make the call it was an invalid number. The funny thing is that when I entered the store he was not wearing a mask. He only put it on when me and my wife entered the store. The man was super unprofessional and should not be working in customer service. If you want to be treated with respect do yourself a favor and visit another location. I will be contacting my attorney as I have been discriminated against threatened verbally bullied as well as my civil rights were violated. read more

To the employee and MANAGER who WATCHED, FOLLOWED, HARASSED and then THREATENED my husband while BUYING diapers, water, milk, and baby medicine for our sick 1 year old and whos wife and child were waiting right out front and watched the whole thing go down works 60+ hours a week and had just finished a 12 hour shift which might explain his "odd" behavior. Works that hard so we can come in there next week and BUY more diapers and milk. The sad part is that my husband said he is use to people following him in stores and watching him just like I witnessed the employee do because of the way he looks! Wake up people! CVS your employees are sleeping walking! This is a review for the pharmacy. I have filled my prescription THREE times at this location and each time i had have an issue. First time, my doctors date on the prescription looked like the 22nd when in reality it was meant to read the 12th. My doctor called to verify that I will get it refilled every 12th of the month. CVS said it didnt matter because the date looked like it said the 22nd and they refused to give me my prescription, despite my doctor calling them. The second time, they called to say my prescription was ready so I go to pick it up. When I got there, they said they made a mistake and it wasnt ready. SO ANNOYING. Yesterday, the third time I go to pick up my prescription, they say that they were out of the medicine I needed. I asked when they would restock, and the pharmacist responded, "UHHH, Maybe tuesday or maybe after the holidays." SOOOOO which is it, tuesday? or after the holidays? He said he had no idea. After these three TERRIBLE experiences, I am sick of dealing with complete AIRHEADS and will take my business to Rite Aid. Three strikes, youre out cvs! read more

The team in the Beauty and Skincare section were AMAZING! Best customer service that I have ever experienced anywhere. They went out of their way to help me find what I was looking for, and made suggestions of what their favorites were. They looked up my account and printed out all of my valid coupons for what I was purchasing, saving me over $30, AND gave me a bag of samples (shampoo/conditioner, 3 different types of skin care, coupons, mascaras, face masks, eye gel, and I'm forgetting something). They were wonderful. Carlos, and when he went on lunch, his co-worker assisted me. I love everything that they recommended and spent only $42 on over $75 worth of product. They were also knowledgeable about the ingredients, both European and American markets, and recommended me excellent skin care for half the price of Ulta and Sephora. I'm from out of state, and just had massive surgery at UCI, but i left a crucial bottle of eyedrops back in Zona. Fast forward to the day after surgery and I need my drops desperately but I cant drive because I'm medicated out of my mind, and alone here at the Best Western Hotel that's been so good to me as well! That's where the CVS in Westcliff village Newport Beach steps in. I called them, within minutes Ying got my RX transferred and since WAS being hilarious; she suggested I have the drops delivered since I was obviously baked on pain pills (I didn't know cvs delivered). This review is for the pharmacy only: I wish I could give zero stars. I never can get thru on the phone. Prescriptions take forever to be filled, lines are always long, and sometimes they say the prescription is filled and then I get there and it's not. And recently, this month, I was told my prescription would be ready on the 27th. So I went on the 28 to pick up, and was told it wouldn't be ready till the 29th because it was too soon. I literally have one pill left and hoping my prescription will be ready when I arrive today. Again, it was that Alex who rudely told me I could not pick up because it was too soon... well my doctor called it in on the 27th so that I could pick it up that day... and now I'm on my last pill!! Talk about 'living on the edge' I'm done w this place.. transferring my prescription to Rite Aid ASAP. read more

Nothing special about this CVS or any CVS for that matter. Long's down the road used to be the best of the major pharmacy stores around, but CVS bought them up several years ago. I basically come here for the pharmacy because it's the closest one to me. Sometimes the pharmacy has a way of messing up new prescriptions and the wait can be especially long. Otherwise and for the most part, I receive an automated call anytime my order is ready for pick up. While browsing my options a female CVS employee RUDELY ask me twice if I needed help. I replied with no thank you, & then the female CVS Employee SHOUTED at me to GET OUT OF THE WAY THEN. I've been going to this location for over 5 years and have overlooked many issues.. Monthly prescriptions being cancelled by the pharmacy without my knowledge, Messages and calls that my prescription has been filed and when i arrive that (very important) prescription is not filled and will arrive weeks later, the list goes on. I am writing this as a final issue i've had: Without receiving any calls, i just received a message that today was my last day to pick up so i hurriedly sent friend to pick it up for me. In the past it has costed $0.. My friend paid $100 because they changed my prescription from the generic to the high end without any authorization. This is a review for the pharmacy. Great customer service! Such nice and helpful staff when I pick up my meds. Yes, the lines can be long sometimes, but hey! that's what comes with a large 24 hr pharmacy that has a large inventory of meds. Just try to avoid 4-7pm and the lunch hour rush. It gets crazy busy then. There are three other pharmacies on this street, but I always pick this one because the staff goes out of their way to help me and are really kind to me. One of the techs even helped me get a coupon for my meds! She googled it on her phone to help reduce my copay. The pharmacist michelle has to be the nicest pharmacist that has ever helped me. She really sets the bar high for customer service and patient care! The staff really goes out of their way to know your names and get to know you! read more

This store location has been my go-to CVS for a little over a year now. I live right down the street and have had no issues there until recently. There is an employee named Craig who was racist and aggressive towards my partner and I. We were at self checkout and Craig approached us and said that we did not scan one of our items. We did in fact scan it and we showed it to him on the screen. He continued to argue with us and called my partner dumb. When my partner politely asked him if we could be helped by another employee he refused. We then asked him to let us continue scanning our items in peace and he started to insult my partner saying he was not smart and did not know what he was doing. We asked him to scan his card because we double scanned an item and he refused to and started to become more aggressive. I became uncomfortable because I could tell he was visibly angry and he started walking very close towards me with a red face and balled fists. My partner told him to back up from me and then Craig used a racial slur towards my partner and then said he would call the police on us. When I asked why he is calling the police he said it is because HE felt threatened. I then pulled out my phone to record the situation in case anything escalated. Craig then told me it was illegal to record him but at the same time pulled out his personal phone and began recording us. He then started to point his phone in the direction of my private area. My partner asked him to not point the camera at my body and Craig began to yell at us saying that the police would come "take care of us". Once the police came, they saw the situation and apologized to us for Craig's behavior. The police officer on scene actually was tearing up because he felt so bad that Craig had racially profiled my partner and that, because it is a private establishment, we had to leave all our stuff at the store. (Which was over $100 worth of items). The police actually encouraged us to file a complaint against Craig so I will be doing that. I just want to make it known on here that Craig is a RACIST and a horrible employee. CVS should look into this because we shop at this location often and we are very upset in the way we were treated by Craig. I actually was crying because I felt scared when he approached me and I was deeply hurt by the words he used towards my partner. Please CVS, do better and hold this employee accountable. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. read more

They apologized for the service I experienced that day, and advised they would have someone at the local level call me back. Surprisingly, I did get a call from the actual employee (Alex) who left a voice mail apologizing for hanging up on me, and also letting me know my prescription was ready. Good job listening to your customers CVS Corporate. It's unfortunate I had to contact you in the first place, but because you responded with courtesy, and in a timely fashion I'm bumping you up a star. read more

Here are the reasons why they are missing 2 stars: 1) Nobody can and ask me if I needed help when they saw me looking around and looking kind of lost when I was trying to specifically find some towels and sunscreen lotion. 2) the line was long if you want to wait for a cashier to help you ring things up. I've been coming to this location for 2 years. 24 hour pharmacy rocks! It's walking distance and I love the older sweet lady, she's always so helpful! I'll have to get her name. The store is pretty clean and anytime I've had a return or an issue its been handled very well. I have witnessed a few rude customers and ha e had to vouch for a pharmacist that was being unfairly berated. Man, people can be assholes. Quick lines - self checkout Cashiers - young man with short hair and younger female with really long black hair are slow as snails! Avoid their lines... I have been going to this pharmacy forever because it's close to my old house but they always have a long line with too few people to help customers. Always. If you plan on picking up a prescription from this location, set aside at least 20 to 30 minutes. Complete inefficiency. The pharmacy techs seem to be well meaning but it doesn't help the situation. If you want to truly test your patience, drive through LA on the 405 at 5 pm on a Friday afternoon or come to this pharmacy; both situations will do it for you. read more

To save time in getting your Rx's filled, I suggest you go back to school, get a chemistry degree, and personally make your prescriptions from what you can find in your backyard. Great store and pharmacy. I've been using this location for a while. It is so clean and organized. The pharmacy staff is great as well. This morning I was helped by Henry- just wanted to say thank you for being so quick and kind. I've been to plenty of CVS's, and this one is my favorite. Plus it's 24-hours, which is wonderful. I don't know what the complaints are about in other reviews, but I guess if you're looking for a reason to complain, you'll find one. In my opinion, this is a great CVS. Overcharged medications. Insurance company caught them. They didn't care

The pharmacy at this CVS is terrible. From the unfriendly staff to the rude pharmacists. There is a 24 hour pharmacy that I needed to use out of desperation. However, they treat guests with disrespect combined with a 90 minute wait time. Never again will I step foot in this CVS. They don't seem to grasp the concept that there are 10-15 other pharmacies in a 5-6 mile radius. read more

Clean location, decent selection of items needed to fill the gap until i manage to go to target at a reasonable hour My main gripe is the fact that its almost impossible to have someone ring you up. Basically its self check out and thats it... Or its self check out and one register open and there 5 people with weird returns, or theyre all paying with checks or theyre confused or .. (The list goes on) I dont like having to ring myself up.. Its not my job.. I give you money, you give me my purchased items and a receipt. Transaction complete. I then go home to my tv dinner knowing i paid 5 dollars for scotch tape and 5 dollars for a box of popcorn. read more

Pharmacy review only: If I could give a negative star I would. The pharmacy at this location is a train wreck...maybe because it is always busy, but it is absolutely chaotic and disorganized. The people that give you the meds are always delightful but the pharmacists are a whole other story. They are rude, and give you less that two seconds to say anything. It seems like this location never keeps the correct insurance info on file. They always have a hard time finding a prescription if its faxed or phoned in (bring in a paper prescription for fastest service). Here was my experience today alone (one of many horrible rude experiences I have had there): Doctor faxes over prescription. I get there and they say they can't read it and there is no dosage. They said come back in 20 min and we will call the doctor back and have it ready. I come back and they said they called three times and couldn't get anyone (really...I NEVER have a problem getting ahold of anyone in the office). I call the office and guess what they answer it, no problem, and guess what, the dosage is right there on the paper) I say to the pharmacist do you want to confirm the dosage while I have her on the phone, pharmacist says he can't talk to the doctor on the patients phone...really...so doctor says she will call and walk them through it but she says it could take 20 min or more cause they don't ever pick up the phone at this location. So right as I do that their computer crashes. Lovely. So I tell him give me a call when it's ready. Guess what...no phone call...so I call 3 hours later I call and they say its ready. I get there and guess what, nobody has even filled it even though they said it was done. So I had to wait another 20 min for them to pour some freaking cough syrup. As I am standing in line, there is a thousand another people waiting for their supposedly filled meds too. And if you sit there and listen, the classic line they use is "we are sorry they never called it in" or "we don't see anything here for you". Maybe if the pharmacists got a little more organized and lost half their attitudes things would be nicer for the customers. So frustrating. Won't be coming back to this cvs for anything else. read more
