Been in here a couple of times to pick up things I couldn't find at the CVS in Target across the street - the Target doesn't have quite the selection that this standalone store does. Today's adventure was 2 vaccinations: flu + 2nd shingles shot. Scheduled online and was able to get in the same day. When I showed up (today is Saturday) it was really hopping: they have a little hut outside just for Covid testing. I checked in 15 minutes before my appointment, completed all the paperwork and made my copay. The pharmacist seemed very efficient at processing my shots. The best part of the visit was the nurse that did may injections - what a hoot! She kept the patter going to keep me from getting nervous and even gave me a sucker to send me on my way. Overall a very good experience here. I'll be back! read more

I ordered a print online and it said it would be ready around 9:17PM. On Google, the store said it closes at 10 PM. I show up at 9:17 to see two old women closing the store. I tell them that the closing time is 10 online and they still refuse to bring out my print and refuse to give me any sort of help regarding it. around an hour later, I look online to see that the store is now closed for three days with no warning that this would happen. go to any other CVS, but this one as these ladies who work here are extremely rude. read more

I can see why your rating are starting to drop. I have been sick since January sinusitis, flu a, now acute bronchitis. My PCP prescribed a strong cough syrup with codeine and a steroid. These jerks have taken it upon themselves to determine what my doctor can and cannot prescribe because they don't dispense anything with codeine. Their research shows that the others are just as effective. Oh really, then why didn't it work when I had it the first time. You all are freaking ridiculous. I hope you continue to lose customers and go out of business. Your job is to dispense what is prescribed period. read more

We went in the other day for my husband to pick up a prescription, and the fragrance was so strong in there that it started to make me ill *even through two masks*. I immediately turned around and left, and called the manager from my car. When I explained the problem he said kind of sharply, "I have no control over customers coming into the store wearing cologne or perfume." I explained that it was not from a customer, it was the overall scent in the store, and it was almost too strong for my husband and he isn't even scent sensitive. I don't remember exactly what the manager said about who he was going to tell, because I was too distracted by the fact that he was speaking fairly impatiently and rudely. I get that this isn't a problem that affects most people, but more and more people are sensitive to environmental factors. Also, my insurance is at CVS for prescriptions and I'd like to be able to walk into the one nearest my house when I need to pick one up. And the manager was rude and dismissive, frankly. read more

I loved the service at this store but there is one man who twice was so rude and mishandled the situations. I called to talk to the manager and was totally placated and said this man had been there 9 years and was an excellent employee. I have spoken with others and heard similar experiences. I will not participate in situations with abusive behavior twice from a service person in a healthcare environment. it was unwarranted and could have been handled differently. read more

We have tried to work with this pharmacy and my 88 year old father's medication for over a year. It has been a constant battle and this past Saturday when we went to pick up the eye drops my father specifically said which Dr eye drops to pick up and they gave him an 80.00 eye drops from a physician he hasn't seen in over a year. My Dad did not open the bag and it was stapled with the receipt and they gave me the worst time returning this medicine. The clerk Rachel immediately said no and I had to become a "Karen" and ask to speak to the pharmacist on duty after explaining this was a CVS error bc she was refusing to pay. "This Dr called it in for refill". We had not seen the provider in over a year. The pharmacist on duty who was Kaitlyn who did not come talk to me but told Rachel to return bc it was in the sealed bag did not want to help either or talk about how this happened. I understand this must be CVS headquarter driven decision, however when you are a store next to multiple retirement centers and dealing with elderly clients, it would be better if staff understood what 80.00 means to an elderly customer. We have had so many issues over the past six months with this location where I have seen overworked staff who must have an hourly fill quota bc there is zero customer service. It is hard to know if it is a staff issue or company policies creating these difficulties. There is zero focus on customer service and the extra patience it takes to work with the elderly. We are moving his scripts to Fry's and hope to have a better experience for him. read more

Why is it pharmacies in the area ( and maybe nationally ) won't tell you about " Good RX " discount app-card when you're buying prescriptions ? This is the third pharmacy in the Oro Valley-Marana area I've purchased prescriptions and every time if I hadn't showed my Good RX card for a HUGE discount, they would have charged me the very high price ! Pharmaceutical costs are already higher in the US than almost every other country in the world - and do when something like Good RX is created, pharmacies out to be helping the customer instead of trying to screw them !! read more

Myrna is one of the worst employees there I've ever encountered. I was grabbing a bag of candy that I saw was on sale (tag was there right in front of it.) Scanned it at self check out, regular price so here comes Myrna but not after some prompting from another sweet employee since Myrna was too busy chatting it up with someone (not at check out, just chatting to the side). Myrna immediately looked annoyed that her chatting time was interrupted, came over and scanned the item with her pricing tool, said it isn't on sale. Okay, showed her a picture where the tag was saying the cost. She repeated herself saying it isn't on sale and NEVER ONCE offered to fix the price since that is CVS' policy. Disgusted with how she approached the whole thing, I ditched the rest of the items at the check out. After making a call to CVS customer care, I was told that they are supposed to honor the price if there's a tag left behind (I looked closely at the picture and it was ended 10/31, yet it was November 9th- no employee took it off until then), so I called the CVS Oro Valley location and spoke with a Martha. She told me that Myrna isn't "all there" because her father died. Okay, that's Myrna's personal business and the store manager should not be telling me this stuff. This also does not excuse her behavior and treatment towards me, she shouldn't been at work if she's grieving!!!! Then Myrna had the nerve to lie to Martha telling her that she was going to help me by matching the sale price but I got upset. I'm sorry but that is bullcrap and a lie. If Myrna was really going to help me, she would have just went ahead and put in the sale price instead of telling me several times that it isn't on sale especially after showing her a picture of the tag still there in front of the item I wanted to buy. I told Martha to review the cameras because that is NOT what happened whatsoever. Martha again impressed the fact that Myrna's dad died several times and she isn't right in the head (her words, not mine!) While I applaud Martha for rectifying the situation by giving me a bigger bag at the sale price I saw, the whole thing still left a bad taste in my mouth. Martha making excuses for Myrna's behavior is NOT OKAY and Myrna should have been sent home to deal with her loss instead of being at work making Martha have to clean up after Myrna. read more

The pharmacy stuff is unorganized and route to customers. The male pharmacist or technician who answers the phone is especially frustrated and his job and customers. He argues and demeans during the conversation, followed by banging up the telephone receiver which he does every time he hangs up the call. I don't yell back at him or make a scene just because the store is the nearest location I can go for drive-through pick up. I would give the store no star for this review. read more

I went to the minute clinic on 10650 North Oracle Rd, Oro Valley, AZ for an appointment at 3:20 on 12/15/24. The nurse was over ten minutes late. She didn't apologize for being late, which is fine, she's not punctual. Then I give her my identification and I tell her I want to pay out of pocket. She says her services start at $140 or so, which is higher than the advertised prices on the sign. I then tell her I will give her my insurance card but I will likely want to pay cash. She then looks at my insurance card and says it is out of network and I can't be seen at the minue clinic because it will void my insurance. I tell her, I don't care I will cancel my insurance if I have to do that. She says it can't be done. I tell her, you don't work for my insurance company. She then says she is refusing to treat me. CVS, you owe me a tank of gas and an explanation as to why I made an appointment and waited two days to be told I can't be seen because my insurance is out of network. That would have been useful information ahead of time, but then again, the truth is that this woman was lying and just didn't want to work. It kind of seems like a bait and fish operation, possibly consumer fraud. read more

Pharmacy is garbage ! Workers are rude , condescending and u helpful . Went to pick up grandmothers rx after she had hip surgery . They didn't bother to mention the were out of the pain meds she was prescribed , so at bedtime when we found they had not given it was too late to contact doctor . She suffered all night with no relief , after almost 2 days of no pain meds went back after doctor called in a different rx, once again rudely they said their systems are down and can't help . Word of advice from someone in the healthcare field , if you are miserable and can't be at minimum decent to people find a new job , preferably somewhere in a cubicle with no contact with others . Do better ! The irony is all the windows have signs that say " it cost nothing to be kind ". read more

Ugh! It shouldn't be so challenging to pickup a prescription. First time and their computers were down. That meant no one could get his or her prescription. Went back next day. Waited in line for my prescription. Asked if they had my insurance. No. Had to go to a different window to get that entered. Waited for that person could do it. She needed my to tell her my social security number out loud. I have it to her and said I didn't like doing it. And then she needed me to tell her again!!!! Then back to the line and waited again. Only one prescription was ready (????). It took a few minutes for my second one to be ready. Don't understand as when I was at that window a few minutes earlier both were really. Meanwhile I get a call saying my prescription won't cover the prescriptions. Asked how much it was. He couldn't tell me until I answered a bunch of questions on the terminal. What a mess. It took me 2 trips and 40 minutes to pick up 2 prescriptions. Neither containing controlled drugs. read more

Yesterday, August 22, 2021, I went to this Oro Valley CVS for a Covid-19 PCR test for traveling in a few days. My appointment was at 11A.M. at the drive-through. The test was easy and easily understood. The video sent to me hours before the test was helpful and the pharmacist's instructions while at the drive-through were also clear and concise. AND RESULTS ARRIVED ON MY PHONE VIA THE CVS APP BY 4A.M. THE NEXT MORNING! Thank you,CVS! One less detail to worry about. read more

Today I had an injury and needed a muscle relaxer for my pain. The prescription was called in late to Tangue Verde so they said no problem just go to the one that is closest to you now. I called CVS at 10650 N Oracle Rd. Marlon handled my order and was absolutely uncaring and unprofessional. Ive been with CVS for years and never experienced such poor customer service. I've looked at their previous reviews and do not understand why CVS corporate have not handled this. Customers beware and go to any other CVS. Pharmacy tech was extremely rude and clearly hates her job. Prescription was not ready to be picked up and she kept insisting that I was "confused." She also loudly called out the name of drug I was picking up for no apparent reason. (HIPPA violation). When I arrived home, I asked my husband to call and lodge a complaint with the Pharmacist in charge. My husband told the pharmacist that he had problem with rude staff. Pharmacist cut off my husband mid-sentence and said he would tell Pharmacy manager. Husband asked, "don't you want to know what happened." No response. Husband asked, "Should I email corporate because it appears you are just blowing this off?" Pharmacist replied, "Looks to me like you are the one with the problem". Husband made unkind remark and hung up. This was after they had lied about calling my Dr. for a refill and later telling me my Dr. had refused refill. Doctor told me no one had ever called about refill. Husband called corporate office and they said they would call back in a few days. Judging from these negative reviews, I would be surprised if they are interested in fixing the problem. Unless you like verbal abuse, go to Walgreens. read more

Extremely poor customer service. Go across the street to the CVS in Target, much better customer service! The pharmacy techs that work there can be rude and unhelpful. If there is an issue with a prescription they rarely contact you and if they do it's days later. I ran out of a very important medication and between the doctor and the pharmacy it took almost a week to get it filled. I went to the pharmacy when I heard from the doctor that it should be filled. When I arrived the pharmacy tech was sitting on some boxes joking with the pharmacist and ignored me until I spoke up and asked for help. He rudely told me the computer was down and he couldn't help me. After stressing that I needed the medication badly and he and the pharmacist telling me there was nothing they could do, I was practically in tears. At this point the tech gets up and in what must have been a final effort to get me to leave says he'll try. It went through with no issues! I'm not doubting the system might have been down but should it have taken me breaking down and embarrassingly pleading for help for them to at least try?! read more

This place is fantastic. Recently moved to Oro Valley from out of state and was having a really difficult time filling existing prescriptions at Walgreens in the local area. I actually visited a number of Walgreens in the Oro Valley area and found them to be older, run down, and not well stocked. Decided to venture into this CVS location and found the place to be clean and well maintained. But it was the staff that made me so happy. I was greeted by a nice gentleman on the front cashier area. He got me all set up with a CVS account and card. I was able to switch my prescriptions from Walgreens to CVS for refills and have had prescriptions filled with absolutely no problems at all. The staff in the pharmacy are all very efficient and professional. Each time I am in the store I am always greeted by a helpful person who helps me find what I need. The drive thru pharmacy is always excellent too. read more

Don't expect reasonable accommodations at this CVS. Dropping off my prescription for a painful foot injury via drive-through I realized that I forgot my insurance card. As a first time customer I needed to bring it back so my information could be entered into the system. The representative told me that I had to bring it to the counter. I explained that I was in significant pain and asked if I couldn't bring it back and drop it off via drive-through, then return again when the prescription was filled if needed. I was very firmly told that new customers without their cards at time of drop off must walk into the store in person. I asked again about accommodating me based on my foot pain and was clearly told that it takes time to process insurance information and that must be done only at the counter. Needless to say that exceptionally painful experience will last in my mind for a long time. It was a reasonable request for an accommodation and I expected a reasonable policy. Or perhaps it's just one person who didn't care about helping by letting someone in pain use the drive-through. It's a policy that doesn't make sense. I expected better from CVS. read more

I called to refill a prescription, I did not have my number, but the person I spoke with was able to find it and make sure my insurance covered it within seconds. I am impressed with how simple the pharmacy process is compared to other stores, like Wal-Mart, Safeway or Walgreens. read more

Pharmacy changed its hours a month ago. Wasted a trip to pick up prescription. Web site still says the pharmacy opens at 7am. Clerk said, oh yeah, they changed the hours a month ago. No apology, no offer to tell someone the web page needs changing, no concern at all. Plus, when you call in a prescription, they ask what time you will pick it up. It is rarely actually ready when they say it will be. read more
