The worst. Long lines and long wait times to get your prescription filled. This has been going on for years and I stick with them because of the convenience. I just keep hoping they'll get better, but no luck. Last week, I went to pick up a prescription and they told me that their computers were down and it couldn't be filled. While I share the sentiments of other posters regarding the understaffing issues at this CVS location, I recently had positive experiences with the pharmacy staff who worked very hard to ensure that my father timely received needed prescriptions following a hospitalization. I am extremely grateful for their efforts, as the prescriptions were critical to my father's recovery. However, for the sake of both customers and the staff, I hope CVS's management/corporate office will add additional staffing to this very busy pharmacy. read more

Horrible customer service!!! Need I say more...yes....I waited in the checkout line for approximately 5-10 minutes while 6-7 store employees including managers (I think) paced back and forth behind the counter and right in front of me mingling and talking amongst each other, never even offering me a hand, absolutely awkward and a waste of time. I would exclude the pharmacy line completely as an issue because this has always been a long wait since it was "Savons." I loved that place PLUS they had better customer service from what I recall... I would highly recommend that this CVS start putting their customers first!!! read more

This service at the pharmacy is the worst I have ever encountered. You have to wait sometimes up to an hour to pick up your prescription. Good luck trying to call them. I have tried numerous times during the day waiting up to 45 minutes and have never gotten through. They are woefully understaffed and don't seem to care. I get better service at the DMV. read more

Pali Patrol and the manager make this place a living hell they will kick you out for anything even looking at them for too long or looking "suspicious" and will tell you to leave after you've bought something even if you're a customer. read more

Recently I moved, and needed to speak with a pharmacy employee regarding an issue with the transfer of a prescription. A staff member at a different CVS called, and we couldn't get through after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. This morning, I called and was on hold for over 20 minutes. Once through, I couldn't get a resolution. I called another CVS, and the call was taken immediately- no hold time, and the issue was quickly resolved. read more

The pharmacy in this store is the worst. You can not get any one on the phone to check if your prescription is ready and when you drive over to see if your prescription is ready it almost never is ready. There will usually be somewhere between 5 and 8 people in line and only one clerk working the counter. Their system for filing the prescriptions is a joke because they are overflowing so much that they have baskets of them all over even on the floor. It's so ridiculous that the lone clerk has to search for more than five minutes for one prescription making the line back up even more. I'm not placing the blame entirely on the pharmacy workers because I think the problem runs much deeper than that. I do not think that the pharmacy gets the proper support and guidance from CVS corporate headquarters. It's pretty sad to see several elderly people with walkers and canes waiting in line for an excessive amount of time attempting to get their much needed medications. Rite Aid should open a location in the Palisades and most of the CVS customers would abandon ship and move their prescription to Rite Aid. I hate this pharmacy! read more

I have used SAVON/CVS Pharmacy exclusively for the past 27 years and I have been extremely happy with the service, if there was an isolated issue Bob and Hung knew how to resolve it. But, since Bob and Hung both left at the same time in September and the pharmacy has not function as efficiently. The pharmacist and pharmacist technician are very nice and courteous and want to deliver good service, but they are unorganized, inefficient and constantly playing catchup. This is the worst pharmacy and probably the worst business I have ever encountered. They literally could not give a crap about customer service. You could wait more than ONE HOUR on hold trying to get through to the Pharmacy to speak to a live person. I once actually drove down to the store and waited in line to SHOW the pharmacy personnel I had been waiting more than an hour for them to answer. They didnt care at all, just asked how they could help me NOW. I have transferred all my prescriptions out because no matter how many times ive complained to management they really dont care and do nothing about it. Terrible would be charitable. I waited two days to have a prescription filled. I tried to reach them by phone to find out what was wrong. It took over an hour and a half to reach someone who was then not helpful My doctor tried repeatedly to reach them and could not. That failure to provide needed medication in a timely manner is dangerous. read more

I rarely leave 1 star comments. This is the second time I've had a bad experience with a woman named Kristen at this pharmacy. I had called the manager the last time to tell her how this woman was so rude to a senior citizen at the pharmacy. They didn't do a thing about the situation and now that manager is at a different location. Kristen was so rude to the woman before me and then rude to me I couldn't believe it. CVS pharmacy's are not known to be super sweet but to be downright rude? I will be moving my prescriptions tomorrow to Pharmaca. read more

I take no pleasure in this review at all, especially after encountering so many efficient and kind pharmacists at this CVS, however they are grossly understaffed and cannot possibly be expected to keep up with the demands of their jobs. CVS is utterly deficient at adequate hiring to answering phones (I just hung up after a 35 minute hold time). After hearing our friend waited an hour at CVS for her flu shot, and that was with an appointment, we sauntered into Pacific Palisades Pharmaca to get our flu shots (with an appointment) and had no wait at all, AND the pharmacy had multiple pharmacists working in contrast to one, at times two laboring to keep up at CVS. So many have urged this necessary transition, and we are so relieved to finally be moving over to Pharmaca for all of our pharmacy needs. The store is beautiful and stocked, they are fully staffed and the manager even sprayed our hands with anti-viral upon our leaving! FanTasTic! read more

Decent convenient place but HEY CVS MANAGERS: There's an employee by the name of Julian (round Hispanic guy) who likes to pocket your customer's money. He will cancel the transaction after he takes the customers' money, and not hand you a receipt. If you then ask him for the receipt he might hand you a slip that says "Transaction canceled" on the bottom, and because he's cancelling the transactions he often forgets how much change to give you and shorts you on the change too. After reading the other reviews, I feel like a fool for using the pharmacy for the last ten years. I can't tell you how many times they have said they didn't get a call-in from a doctor for a prescription. When I call the doctor, they say they sent it in two days ago. I have no choice but to ask them to send it again. This has happened many, many, many times. The other comments about waiting for a prescription that should be ready, the long telephone hold times, the horrible music, and the clueless staff, are all spot on. I'm switching all my prescriptions to the local, family owned pharmacy, tomorrow. I wish CVS cared that I was leaving, but I know they won't even notice. read more

the overall experience at this store makes it a 5 star. the entire store is always clean. at times I see the employees vacuuming during off times, I like that. they have a person helping out in the self check out line which makes it very convenient. the staff has always been friendly and there is also a huge parking lot. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. First time I dropped off my prescription I was told it would be about 30 min for it be ready, I can back the 1st time an hour after I dropped it off and was told another 30 min. Long story short 3 hours later it still wasn't ready when I returned and still needed to be filled and I wouldn't leave the counter until it was fulfilled. The next time I called it in ahead of time waited 3 days and it still wasn't ready for pick up. I was told another 10 minutes over an hour later I was called an told it was ready. There are long lines every time and the waiting area is overflowing with this happening to multiple people. Usually wait in a 20 minute "pick-up" line to be told that they will just now start "filling it". On another note my prescription is prepackaged box! Nothing to fill just needs a label with my name on it to be filled. read more

WORST PLACE ON EARTH! Every few months there is completely new staff at the pharmacy and each set of people is worse than the last. There's been one good group, but I was there the other day and it seems they're all gone. Well anyways- the first time I left my prescription and was told it would be ready in a few hours and come back and they never started it and then two more times two pharmacists refused to fill it because you know, they know better then my doctor hahaha. What a joke!!!! These bottle fillers are on the biggest power trip and they know more than a doctor and they're so big an important. I have NEVER run into this problem. Like I don't have enough problems outside of this I then have to get into it with these toilet cleaners (that's where they belong- with their head in a toilet and far away from any paying customers). You would think a neighborhood pharmacy could get their act together. My prescription was called in by my doctor's office FOUR days ago and I still had to wait half an hour for them to fill it (even though they promised to "EXPEDITE" it.) Just AWFUL! What happened? This pharmacy used to be an efficient machine and it is literally falling apart ... line is 10 people deep at all times, prescriptions don't get filled until you show up so after waiting in line for 15 minutes you have to wait an additional 20 minutes for your medication. in addition the pharmacy phone is constantly busy so you can't even call ahead now. According to the manager they are well aware of their challenges. Still it's been months now and no change. If you are looking for an alternative I suggest Pharmaca which is only a few blocks away on Sunset. They are courteous and prompt. Only drawback is the hours: 9-6 but at least there is a chance you will actually get your medication. read more

My favorite cvs! i work in the area and always make sure to go to this cvs for pharmacy and makeup, soap, etc. needs. staff is friendly and helpful. They also have the best selection and best self check-out line. I have also noticed that the pharmacy is extremely kind and helpful to the older patients- which sadly isn't the case for all pharmacies. They even know a lot of customers by name. Lots of parking (additional parking on roof-although you can normally find a spot in the front parking lot)- which is a major plus in LA! read more

Pharmacy only review -- the people who work here are clearly underpaid and overworked. It shows. They are usually not nice and you are often forced to wait ridiculous amounts of time for simple prescriptions. Go to one of the local independent pharmacies. I have long given up on filling prescriptions here, because of the long waits and the low chance of having the item in stock. I use the front of the store because of low prices and coupons they send to my card, but their near useless checkout counters which always have scanning problems and their frequent out of stocks issues are really frustrating. read more

This pharmacy is mismanaged on many points: Pharmacist apathetic and incompetent (tried to dispense 100mg dosage when the order was 25mg...after I tried to get the 100mgs dc'd twice). Out of an electronic order of 3 different meds...they only got 2 correct (after giving them 3 hours to get it correct). Claimed that the order of 3 meds (sent twice by my doctor) was only "received" by them as 2 (dubious claim at best). Pharmacists mumble names over speaker while customers (most elderly) sit for 30-40 minutes waiting because they can't hear (and employees admit they can't understand what's being said.) Why not ask customers if they'd like a text once their meds are ready? (duh!) Or hollar like in coffee shops? I'd rather hear that, then the complaining I heard repeatedly, "I was sitting here for 30 minutes and I didn't hear my name!" If your service is so pathetic at least put out more chairs...4's apparently is not enough. Shame...because otherwise I love CVS and am a faithful customer. read more

Terrible pharmacy -- you can't get through on the phone, and they screw up orders all the time. Tonight, my wife was on hold there for 15 minutes; when she got through, the person there accidentally disconnected her, so she had to call back, and had to be on hold again ... for 22 more minutes. Then, when someone answered, and my wife told her she'd been on hold for so long, the woman said, "Ma'am, we're doing the best we can." We're taking them at their word: Since that seems to be the best they can do, we're moving over to Pharmaca. read more

Pharmacy is terrible. Won't fill your prescription on time even if you called it in 7 hours prior. Then will tell you that it will only take 10 minutes to fill, and have you wait for 30 minutes. Almost every time I fill a prescription here there's some new unnecessary issue that they created. read more

There is no excuse for the irresponsibility of the pharmacy. With out warning, with out a heads up or even so much as a mention from the Pharmacist, CVS changed the generic manufacturer of my medication. The side effects were awful and made the medication almost unbearable. When I inquired if they could give me the old medication they told me it would be no problem. They gave me one pill to get me through the day as it is a daily medication and promised the rest of the prescription would be in the next day. Upon my arrival the next day I was informed that the wrong medication would be sent and that they would get the correct one the next day. I was given no choice at to skip the medication for that day as the negative side effects from taking the other medication out weighed the side effects on not taking the correct one for one day. I waited and waited for them to call the following day. At 3:15 I called in to be informed that they are not able to get me that particular medication. No phone call, to heads up, not even a mention. A phone call was promised. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY! The long wait, negligent staff and over all lack of professionalism in a medical arena is disgraceful! Thank God there are other options in the Palisades! Shame on you CVS. read more

The store is fine but the pharmacy is dead slow. My doctor left a voicemail for a new med on Saturday. I go in Sunday and was told it would be ready Monday. I got in Monday and it' not ready BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LISTEN TO THE VOICEMAIL. During the day I called five times but they never picked up. On the sixth try somebody answers and tells me it's STILL NOT READY. The store is convenient for me but I'm not going back there if I can help it. read more

It's really hard to believe how terrible the pharmacy is here. There's no time of day the lines aren't enormous. They will confirm an order is ready over the phone but the odds are worse than even that they'll have filled it when you get there. And quite often they have to start the process of ordering the medication after you've shown up and waited 20-30 minutes in line. This happens all the time, even if the RX is supposed to be autofilled every month. If they have to order the meds, why don't at least start that process when they confirm that they're sitting there? That concept seems incompreheniable to the staff. It's probably not their fault. CVS corporate must have a policty of way understaffing. Managers from time to time say they're working on making it better but it's gotten progressively worse year after year. It's just a terrible pharmacy. read more
