There is no excuse to mess with people's medicine. My prescription was called in at noon and at 5pm it still was not ready and I had to wait over an hour. They are severely understaffed and it's sad that cvs does not have 3x the people working. I felt bad for the staff that was there. It was a panic and the line was long. read more

I honestly think their is something terribly wrong with these people. This is the most unorganized, irritating, and unprofessional pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of coming too. I have to come here once every 3-4 weeks and every time one of 3 things happen, I honestly dread coming here. 1. The same idiot looks me In the eye and tells me my insurance doesn't work even though I have been coming and giving him the same card every time. He will then call and verify that everything is fine EVERY DAMN TIME, and they will tell him that it's fine and waste another 30 min of my time. 2. They will misplace the prescription from the doctor, then have is call the doctor after hours and waste everyone's time to then open their eyes and find it. 3. They will try and charge me the full price for the medication knowing that it is covered leading to the next insurance situation. These people are legit not normal, I do not know what to do of it wasn't a few blocks away from my house I would've left a long time ago. Why doesn't the CVS brand realize what a waste this pharmacy is?? I have seen Fairfax/Sunset Pharmacy go from a Homeless shelter to an amazing grocery and pharmacy experience that is top notch, however in a top of the line neighborhood of the Palisades here we are still dealing with people who are VERY rude (in the pharmacy mostly), unorganized, unprofessional and very much unmanaged. I am calling from a doctor's office and I am waiting here to call in a controlled substance one person picked up after 7 minutes she said she would transfer to the pharmacist after 10 mins passed she answers again and says "oh your still here? I thought she spoke to you already, you can call back and just leave a voicemail" no thanks I am here might as well make sure you receive my call than loose it in a vm so I told her I could wait... it's going on38 mins and she has not picked up the phone since this is disgusting.If you dont want to try to work get out of there and let the next person who left there resume because they actually want to try to work be there. read more

Absolute WORST customer service I have ever been to. You'd think they'd have some common sense bedside manner knowing if you're coming here, chances are you may be feeling under the weather. So when the girl tells you 20 minutes or so & it becomes 45 minutes & im STILL WAITING. No acknowledgment, no apology. Still another 10 min till it was done. Unbelievably bad, bad service. & They just automatically give you generic medication when you want the name brand. (Which was indicated so on the Rx). Where do I start with this place? Well, some of the people who work here are amazing! There is an older Asian (I believe Filipino) woman that helped me here since I was a kid. So nice, so sweet, so amazing! I was just 12 when I started coming here and she would always try to help my sister and I with anything we asked. However, my horrible experiences here have been with the pharmacy and photo department. Photo department: Back in the day, when there was no Facebook and we used disposable cameras, I put photos in to develop to be sent out (I was a kid, I guess I didn't want to spend the extra $$$ on developing so many photos one hour). WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. I never got the photos, and when I told the manager about it he said he will contact them and asked for my proof (the ticket you would get). Being an innocent 15 year old child, i gave it to him. I came back a week after, and he said he doesn't remember anything! Now, these were photos that I took in ISRAEL during vacation with my FAMILY! If it was my kid, or if this happened to me, they would get HELL for what they did. The man still works there, he is a chubby dude. What kind of person would do that to a child?! CVS Pharmacy: Thank GOD for Pharmaca just across the street. The long lines in CVS, sitting cramped up in those chairs, nothing is EVER in stock, taking them DAYS to get things. Beyond everything, the attitude! I was leaving for a trip abroad and called in for my prescription. Nope, they didn't call the doctor like they were supposed to. They don't do a thing! I had to leave for a two month trip WITHOUT my medicine and had to ask a friend to bring it. The pharmacies was RUDE (long black hair, don't remember her name) and was literally yelling at me! Who do you think you are?! I have a reason to be mad! I think the only people that go there think it's cheaper than other pharmacies but don't realize you pay the same thing for your prescription and just deal with the ****. Never went back there after, and now I am a satisfied customer at pharmaca. Now there is a new manager i believe (long hair, younger dude) who is really nice. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They text you that your Rx is ready, and when you go to pick it up, there is always at least a 20 minute line due to their lack of help. Pretty sad that when you order a specific prescription refill, and get a confirmation email that it will be ready the next day at 2pm, that the associate at this location says the system lies and changes your order but nothing is even ready. The pharmacy cannot be trusted to fill medications accurately. Since this pharmacy has misfilled prescriptions in the past, I always check to make sure the right medication is in the bottle. I found that one three month prescription for a daily medication had three pills. When I asked about that Aaron said that that was all they had. I asked if he had notified the prescribing physician and he assured me that he had not. He had no advice about what to do or if the pharmacy would ever be getting that medication again. read more

I'm trying to get them to move my son's prescription for strep throat to the CVS in Venice and the pharmacist here has been and still continues to be on hold for OVER AN HOUR NOW!! I had to call the main line and tell the manager to walk over there and tell them to pick up the phone. He kept trying to tell me they will call me back (fat chance!!) and I said No, they just need to pick up the phone cos we have been on hold for an hour!! I'm not sure why the ratings are so low for this CVS, I have never had a problem here. Yes, the wait times can be long at the pharmacy. Sometimes employees are scarce. However, besides annoyances like this that you would experience at any other pharmacy there is nothing wrong with it. The prices are higher than average, but that is to be expected given its location. It is always clean and everyone I have talked to has been very accommodating and polite. read more

CVS has been fairly dependable throughout the years. However, I've had a couple issues. A couple years ago there was a messy transition between the old store setup and the new store setup. I assume there was a transition in ownership/management because the layout of the store was completely changed and they started stocking slightly different merchandise. The issue was that the store was only half stocked for about a month, was very disorganized, and hard to navigate. Also a couple months later, I misplaced my wallet and was worried I lost it there. I tried to talk to management but they basically did a quick check of the lost and found and then dismissed me. The manager was rude and wouldn't help further. Another thing is that in the last couple months they turned their second story parking into a paid parking lot for the public, which has made parking there a more difficult affair as it's typically packed. I previously wrote a very negative review based on those above experiences, but since then I've had more positive experiences now that CVS has transitioned into the new store/management more fully. They have excellent coupons and generally good deals. I also used their pharmacy recently and was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of their staff. I also appreciate that they have self checkout as this location gets VERY busy. read more

I can never get them on the phone, therefore it's always unclear whether the prescription has been filled or not, so you have to go down there in person to wait in a very long line to figure out whether it has been filled (which it probably hasn't) and then wait again for it to actually be filled. CVS needs to get it together. If you are that busy where no ones prescription can be filled in a timely manner then hire another employee to help with the load. read more

Has to be the worst run pharmacy in the USA. Let's work our way up from the bottom: 1) The person (usually 1) at the RX counter could not find her rear end with a flashlight. Watching her rummage thru all the "pick-up" boxes looking for an RX would be funny if you had not been in line for 50 minutes. This throw all the "M" rx's in the M box system is laughable. Badly trained together with bad attitude, great combination. In her training (if any) it might be good to explain to her "generic" is not a new rock-and-roll band & explain how to find generics in the system. 2) The robo call system telling you your Rx is ready is totally broken. Your RX will not be there most of the time after you wait in line for 45 minutes. 3) The Rx phone line---10-15 mn minimum wait 4) The real corker is the so called manager. It's worth a laugh to try and find him. If you manage to find him, ask him for the CVS telephone number of his CVS supervisor--he will tell you he is not authorized to give out that number. When you tell him about the useless Rx employees, long lines and under staffing, he gives you this long sad story about the high rents in the area keep him from getting help, and he says has been working on the problems (total nonsense as it has gotten even worse) ... in short bad management, bad supervision and people are going elsewhere even though their drugs cost more because it is worth it. read more

World's worst pharmacy. I rarely have a good experience at this store but there is one pharmacist at this location who is so nasty, I would rather stay sick than have the displeasure of ever dealing with her again. She has no idea what the meaning of customer service is. One time we were there for our appointment for a covid vaccine. She continued to take walk-ups (and yes, we overheard that they did NOT have an appt.) and she left us waiting for 20 minutes after our appointment time. Yesterday I called to ask for curbside service because I needed pain meds for my dog. My husband and I were still testing positive for Covid although my husband had no symptoms, and she was actually nasty about it and said that I was putting her in an unfair situation. I said that he would be wearing an N95 and they could just put it in an open window. Again she said how she could get covid. When I challenged that science and said that she couldn't get covid by dropping a prescription in an open window, which would take 2 seconds, she said, "Are you a doctor?" in a nasty tone. At this point I just hung up and will take my business across town if I have to in order to get away from her. I don't know her name but she is caucasion, young, long brown hair. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Pharmacies are crucial to many peoples' health and, for that reason, an experience with a pharmacy should go as smoothly as possible. TL;DR refilled a prescription, they hadn't even started to process it 3 hours later, told me they didn't have it. Immediately moved all my business to PALISADES COMPOUNDING PHARMACY, where they actually have an understanding of pharmaceuticals. I called to refill my prescription with 3 hours notice once they opened. I ran some errands and arrived to the pharmacy 20 minutes after the specified pickup time. I waited in an extremely long and slow line, no effort was made to manage or work a little faster. When I arrived at the front, I expected the prescription to be ready to go, instead, the very young and inexperienced clerk told me that they were out of stock. They had not even checked and probably expected me to wait 20+ minutes in the awfully depressing back end of the CVS while they printed out a label and put it on a package. I said this was unacceptable and the clerk told me he could order the prescription for Monday, 4 days from now (were I in dire need of this medication, you could see how this is ridiculous) no apology. I kindly left, filed a written complaint, called in a complaint, called to notify them that I will no longer bring them my business due to their unprofessional attitude and asked to transfer my prescriptions to Palisades Compounding Pharmacy. I called the Compounding Pharmacy, they knew exactly what medication I needed, told me they would need to order it for the afternoon and apologized. Already significantly better than the joke that is the CVS Pharmacy in the Palisades. read more

The 1 Star can go to the 1 or 2 friendly pharmacy staff who manage to keep a smile on their face amidst the constant verbal assaults by pissed off CVS Pharmacy customers. If you dont work and have plenty of time on your hands, then CVS could work for you as you can expect to: Call CVS (the store) and either get a busy signal or, once you get through and get over to the Pharmacy line, be on HOLD for an HOUR with still have no one pick up, or just dropping your call Wait in a long line no matter what time of day it is Expect them to tell you "its in process" when you get to the front of the line, even if you called in or dropped off your order DAYS ago Expect them to tell you they don't have your drug in stock (also only once you get to the pharmacy up to days later of dropping off and expecting them to have had plenty of time to fill your prescription) Expect that they've only filled part of your prescription, even if more than 1 medication was listed on your original prescription which you dropped off DAYS ago Expect a continued stream of pissed off customers waiting in line, then not getting their meds, then having to wait there at the pharmacy for up to an hour for it to be filled If this really is the ONLY pharmacy that works for you, I suggest: Call in or better yet go to DROP OFF in person to see it going into the system THEN tell them you'll wait for it but will be shopping around the store You'll have a 50% better chance of it being ready when you come back if you do it this way OR drop off, call in and then go and be OK waiting for it.....they usually work on the ones for people they can actually SEE waiting This has been going on for a LONG time and has only been getting worse. This review is for the PHARMACY ONLY. The store itself is great, employees friendly and always well stocked... HOWEVER, the pharmacy is a different story. Always issues, auto refils when they were not requested, requested refills not filled. It's ridiculous, but it's the only Large pharmacy in the area. Today, though, was beyond anything I have ever experienced ANYWHERE. Called for a refill that had been transferred to another CVS. All she had to do was call the other CVS to get it released (or whatever term she used) and she bluntly refused to do it, stating that she was the only one working the pharmacy and was too busy. Really? Last time I checked a MINIMUM of two people, per DEA requirements, must be in the pharmacy at all times. Secondly, this prescription was overdue because we tried to call numerous times previously and were put on hold for 45m+ (I'm not sure about anyone else, but I don't have time in my daily life to wait on hold for that long). It is also a prescription that must be taken continuously, which as a pharmacy tech and/or pharmacist they are aware. Sadly, based on the reviews, Corp CVS could care less about rectifying the problems associated with this pharmacy. However, I'm quite sure the DEA will be more than happy to hear my complaint read more

Worst pharmacy ever--which should not be surprising as it is CVS. They don't call when promised, have impossible hold times with terrible loud 'Muzak' and then they disconnect you. After all of that, when I finally picked up my prescription, it was wrong. I did not realize until I got home. I called. More Muzak. When someone finally came on the line, I explained the prescription was not correct and asked if they stocked the correct formulation. The employee took me to task, lecturing I should have checked it at the store before leaving and should have spoken with a pharmacist. Well, first of all, I was not offered an opportunity to speak with a pharmacist. Second, the defensiveness is terribly off putting--I am just trying to figure out if you substituted something in due to stocking issues. I am not asking for a refund (yet). I stopped patronizing CVS about eight years ago and now remember exactly why. I guess I am moving everything back to Walgreens. ***update***. Horrible communication in the pharmacy department. Was told my medication was out and would arrive in 3 days. I waited another 2 weeks, finally I called only to complain about the wait I have had to endure for a prescription medication. The pharmacy manager finally called another location only to tell me that my prescription could not be filled or transferred to another location and that i would have to physically pick up the prescription and take it to the another cvs. Never any question of verification from my doctor to confirm the prescription in this wait time. After taking it to another cvs pharmacy only to find out it needed to be verified. Why couldn't I get told this before I drove to the other pharmacy? Why couldn't they verify my prescription in those 2 weeks they had my prescription? Train wreck of a pharmacy read more
