Very rude people who work there. They were getting ready to close it was only 2. Of us left to serve and help and they refused. One customer that was just leaving and had been already helped said he waited for hours to get his meds. One lady kept yelling we're closed we're closed as if to say Leave!. I will never go to this location again! Went to the CVS in Arcadia off of Baldwin very friendly and as busy as it was I was able to get my son's prescription in no time. WOW! I can't understand the negative revues! I was just there on hump day around 6pm and there was no crowd. I had an issue with my doc not sending in a prescription. They contacted the doc to place the order. They were able to give me a loaner until the order was placed. The pharmacy gal went above and beyond to help me. NO LINES. I then went to the fragrance department and Sophia was knowledgeable and kind in helping me find the least expensive fragrance, and even let me use a coupon that was meant for Mother's Day! I had told her that I was in financial difficulties but wanted to try to get my mom a nice gift. What a doll! I didn't ask to use the toilet, but they were explaining some of the new security policies when I asked what prevents people from just slipping a lipstick in their pocket since they are out there on display. One of the new rules is that no one is permitted to use the bathroom because that is the place that most shoplifting is hidden. It had NOTHING to do with bigotry! People are so sensitive an jump to conclusions! This has to stop! A store can be ruined with these petty reviews! The staff was more than friendly, courteous and helpful! Even the door guard smiled as I came in and helped me find the right aisle for a particular item. I am Puerto Rican with a dark complection. I was treated like every other customer that came through the door. It is smaller than some CVS stores but it's amazing how varied and available their stock is! March 2014 update - I actually got a text that both my prescriptions were ready for once so I ran down and hopped in my car for the drive through. When I got there, I was told they were NOT ready and that they did NOT know why the texts were sent. Whatever, they said it'd just be five minutes - so I said I'd wait. Then came a quote I actually laughed out loud at - "Well, you can wait but you can't wait at the window because you'll mess up our customer service timer." Glamorous. Brilliant. The height of having no idea what customer service is actually supposed to be about. Well done, CVS, you have not improved. read more

Sadly I have to give a star because Yelp makes you. Just know CVS should receive zero stars. They are disorganized, lack customer service skills, and do not understand the severity of some peoples needs to pick up prescriptions on time. I try to use my local pharmacy now to avoid the bulls**t that is CVS. This place should be shut down and turned into a parking lot or something else useful. Also, CVS, we do not need a two foot long receipt for a one item purchase. Be Eco-friendly if nothing else. Put the coupons and crap on the Rewards Card not the receipt. Today, August 30 2013, I had a really bad asthma attack and I didn't have my inhaler with me. I walked into this CVS with tremendous pain and couldn't breathe. I asked for help and tried to buy an inhaler but they couldn't sell it to me because I didn't have a prescription. The staff saw that I was really in extreme pain and gave me an inhaler that I can use to alleviate my pain. After 2 puffs, I was back alive and returned the inhaler. I offered to pay for whatever it costs but they didn't charge me anything. CVS saved my life today and they earned a life long customer. I am very grateful and would like to say a big thank you to the staffs there for saving my life. read more

Just another CVS. Pharmacy technician aren't the nicest at any CVS I've been to - this one is remarkably bad with handling any insurance issues that arise. Make sure to always check your prescriptions in the bag before you pay, mine haven't always been correct even when just getting a simple refill. Wish CVS had nicer people working at the pharmacy since I have to go there pretty often and it's almost never a positive and fast experience. Careful with generics - CVS has different ones than other chains so make sure you call your doctor to be sure that this particular generic is the same or okay for your purposes. Never tried the drive thru though people seem to like/use it a good amount. Rest of the CVS is decent. Lots of self-checkout kiosks so never really had to wait, though some people get annoyed when they can't be checked out the normal way. They have the photo-taking capabilities here, used them awhile back and a nice system for easily printing photos. That's the main bonus of CVS, that and the late hours for the pharmacy. I like being able to pick up my prescriptions until midnight during the week. Local community pharmacies don't have that. Wouldn't recommend coming to this location super late at night. It's right by a metro stop and a lot of people loiter in the lot which is nerve-wracking and makes me feel uncomfortable when I'm alone. Parking is usually good though can get pretty packed. This CVS is not arranged like the CVS in Arcadia? What the heck? So I came to this CVS because I need to get some multi-vitamins. So the Arcadia location, the vitamins are in aisle 4, but when I came here (pasadena) the vitamins were in aisle 16!!! Aisle 16?!!? that's 12 aisles over!! Wow... I was so lost in the store. Thieves all over, including the employees. This is absolutely the worst store of all. Went in with my phone, didn't take it out the whole time, went out without one. The lady manager that was there on May 28th, 2016 around 11:30pm showed absolutely no interest of any kind of help. She wouldn't check the cameras or anything and was being extremely inconsiderate. This pharmacy is right by Huntington Hospital so assume that have a good flow of guaranteed business. Anyway, the service here is aweful. I left the hospital today at 3p and they faxed my order to CVS so it would be ready when I got there. I got there at 3:20p and there are like 5 people behind the counter - the manager, assistant manager and 3 others. There are 3 people in line. Each customer appears to take 5 minutes to process so after about 10 minutes (in agonizing pain) i get up to the counter and ask for my order faxed in 30 minutes ago. Name? Date of Birth? ahh, we haven't done anything with it, apologize mr lewis. it will be ready in 15 minutes - would you like us to text you? So when they call my name in 15 minutes there are about 7 or 8 folks in line and i wait yet another 30 minutes to get my prescriptions. All during this, the manager (pharmacist) is going around apolgizing to everyone and not doing much else. Young kid doing glorified retail. I was thinking - would be nice boss if you could help some clients instead of just apologing like a fool. I'd hate to go to this place when it gets real busy. Anyway, avoid this pharmacy. The guy running it is an amateur and staff super slow. Being by the hospital, they need to re-evaluate their staff costs and add more. Last time I went to Walgreens down on Sierra Madre and Colorado it was excellent, fast and curteous. No problems. So won't be a CVS customer again, Walgreens it is. read more

Though I have visited this location numerous times... I'm still on the fence. This CVS is just a short walk from where I work making it perfect for getting toiletries, meds, odds and ends. It's easy to visit on my lunch or right after leaving the office. The issue I have is that the store isles are often lined with boxes in need of being emptied onto shelves and there is always a lengthy line at the register. This makes me feel that maybe they are a little short staffed or perhaps have had cut backs due to economic climate. In any event, because of convenience and because I just feel you can only expect so much out of a discount drug store, I will continue to visit this location. read more

I frequent this store out of necessity. Each time, they seem to struggle to get their act together. The store is often understaffed, and lines can extend five people deep regularly. Occasionally, drifters from the nearby Metro will panhandle out front. Having said that, service is generally friendly and the whole 24-hour thing is super convenient. Not the greatest experience, but still 100x better than CVS Highland Park. read more

Wow after reading these reviews I feel a lot better about my awful experiences and have also transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy. My last 3 of 4 refills have had some issue- on hold, out of stock or just lost. Then they tell me ready tomorrow and it's not. Not ready 3 days later. Still not ready a week and a half later but "give me 30 min". Are you kidding?! Why wouldn't they call you if you script is on hold or any other reason they can't fill it. They also were unable to explain why it was on hold and it's been well over a month since my last refill so it wasn't my insurance company. I am shocked at how many people have the same issues and these people are still employed. At least we aren't alone! read more

This is the most dysfunctional pharmacy I've ever seen. I am stuck with getting my prescription drugs from them for the last 2 years. There was not one instance when they had not messed up my prescription and gave me a totally different drug. James, for example, was so confident that at some point I thought maybe he really knows what I was taking for the last 5 years. I was abstaining from writing a review because everyone there (except for James) is very sweet and they apologized every time. But today, after calling the pharmacy for a week with no results, and because I need to start taking my drugs tomorrow, and I don't have them, and they never called, and I am just out of options. Another thing about this CVS is that every time you use the pharmacy be prepared to stay in line, even with only one person in front of you, or none, and wait forever! And, as in my case, be ready to compromise and take whatever they give you so you don't need to return for the same issue three or four times. I seriously don't know how that place is not demolished yet. It's like a useless time wasting zero result yielding building. Just awful. read more

This is the worst Pharmacy ever. My doctors fax my prescriptions and they claim the never received them, sometimes sent three or four times. When they finally say they received my doctors fax it take for them sometimes a week to get the perscription and you have to wait in line up to two hours to fill the order. Unfortunately I have life threatening conditions so my life is in danger to continue using CVS. read more

Just off the 110 freeway, this place is the first pharmacy into Pasadena. They usually have my prescriptions in stock and there's one guy there who's lightning fast when he's filling my prescription.. Take advantage of their 20% off coupons that are part of their CVS card and you can save tons of money on your non-prescription purchases. If a prescription takes a bit longer then head on to the Starbucks across the street or get some Trader Joe's shopping in to make the time go by faster. Oh yeah, they're 24 hours...but forget about getting something filled late on weekends. You'll have to go to Glendale's CVS to get something filled. read more

Seriously disappointed with this store & pharmacy. I keep going back since it is such a convenient location for me, but I cringe every time. They are constantly out of my over the counter allergy medication in the big bottles (45 count) and only have the small (10 count) ones which have a much higher price per pill. Sometimes they are out altogether, and I leave empty handed. The CVS Pharmacy is so slow, and understaffed. Drive through is a joke sometimes since it takes longer than going inside. And, whenever I have a question, the Pharmacist is out to lunch (no matter what time of day). If it wasn't for the Extra Bucks coupons (you need a CVS customer card), I don't think I would waste my time here.... read more

I came in today at around 2:15 pm - 2:20 pm to drop off two prescriptions. The woman at the drop-off counter told me it would be around 15 minutes. I waited and I waited, then I waited some more. Didn't actually leave the store until 3:05 pm. My math skills are kinda shady, but I think I was there for 45 minutes not 15 minutes. read more

They usually did a good time with letting me know when my meds were ready to be picked up but I feel like I've been calling a lot lately to see if they're ready. I see the low rating and am frankly not surprised. I had called CVS to have a prescription transferred from a delivery pharmacy to CVS because I'm amidst a gout attack and could not wait until the next day. I was told by the person I spoke with on the phone that the medication will be ready and to bring my insurance card. Two hours later over lunch I went to the CVS and was told "Nothing is ready for you." I was then told by the tech at the window that the medication will be ready on 15-20 minutes. I left the pharmacy for 30 minutes and came back where yet another technician said the same thing - nothing is ready and they will call me once the prescription is ready. At this point this was totally unacceptable and I asked to speak with the pharmacist. Once she came out to speak it was obvious why the pharmacy is run so poorly. This person didn't look organized and was holding a phone handset explaining that she was on hold with the pharmacy at that moment. I said I was told the pharmacy had been contacted already. Overall Middy, or Niddy or Biddy or whatever this person who thinks she's a pharmacist couldn't seem to get her story straight and told me nothing but lies for the past hour. No wonder no one uses this crappy place for medications anymore. read more
