Self check out is the new norm
    Lonnetta P.

I've only been to the CVS a couple times out of convenience. Both visits ended in them not having what I came for in stock, so of course I end up walking around and buying something I convinced myself I needed. Nonetheless, this most recent visit they had Halloween candy, decor and more out for the upcoming season. I saw no staff so you're kinda on your own when it comes to navigating the store. Then make your way up to the front for self check out!

No greeting, no acknowledgment--just silence and hold music. Sometimes it rings again, they pick up, and do the exact same thing. This is a pharmacy, not a casual retail store. People are calling because they need their prescriptions, and being treated like this is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. If the staff doesn't want to be there, they should find another job and let someone who actually cares do the work. Ignoring patients and wasting their time is rude, disrespectful, and honestly concerning when it comes to healthcare. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

From Saturday through Monday, I came in repeatedly and was met with staff who were cold, nonchalant, and dismissive and acted as if they were robots. It truly felt like customers were treated as numbers rather than human beings. My children don't often get sick so this experience was especially upsetting, and the lack of compassion from most of the staff was alarming. I was fully ready to write a terrible review and move all of our family's prescriptions to CVS because the treatment I witnessed and personally received was completely unacceptable. However, everything changed because of one African American staff member this angle name was D'Anna. She overheard my interaction with another employee and immediately stepped in with empathy and urgency. She went above and beyond to try to accommodate my needs, even attempting to arrange free delivery of my daughters medication after clearly seeing that I had two toddlers under the age of 4 and being pregnant (in my 7th month). Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care completely shifted the experience. If it were not for D'Anna, I would have stopped using this pharmacy altogether. She is the only reason I am giving this location any credit at all. Walgreens should take a serious look at how customers are being treated and recognize employees like D'Anna who actually embody compassion and excellence customer service!

I stopped using them a long time ago, but my doctor's office accidentally sent a prescription here, so unfortunately I had to deal with them again. When I arrived, they told me they never received the prescription, so I had to call my doctor's office. They confirmed it had, in fact, been sent. It was in their in box that they never checked. This was after waiting in line for about 20 minutes. First, I was told it would take an hour. Then they changed that to a "guaranteed" time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. I went home and called before making the trip back. After being on hold for quite a while, I was told it still wasn't ready. When I asked if the guaranteed time was when I could realistically expect it to be filled, I was told no it would probably be another 45 minutes beyond that. So the timeline went from 1 hour, to a guaranteed 1 hour 45 minutes, to "realistically" closer to 9:15 p.m. If the guaranteed time doesn't actually mean anything, why give it? To make matters worse, I try to run errands during the day for safety reasons. Having to make multiple unnecessary trips because of poor communication is frustrating and inconvenient. This experience reminded me exactly why I stopped using this pharmacy in the first place.

Another way to save is to scan my extra care card at the coupon kiosk. I love getting 5 feet of coupons. Sometimes I get some good ones I can stack on top of their sales savings. Another positive is that the workers are always friendly. I am always greeted upon entering. I typically use the self checkout so I don't have any further interaction unless I need assistance. By far the worst experience I've had within a CVS. If I could give this store location negative stars I would, but I guess this 1 star will suffice. I am not in the habit of posting negative reviews but in this case the associate "Basel" should be relieved of his duties ASAP and never return to any customer facing position for all of eternity. When forced to use self-check out my paper coupon wouldn't scan. I asked the associate "Basel" if he wanted me to cancel the transaction. . . to quote him, "there's 3 of us and only 1 of him I'd just have to wait". I apologized to the lady behind me as she was waiting. I continued to wait until he decided to come over, muttering about how he was the only one who can cancel it. I asked for his name, and was told "it's B-A-S-E-L Basel for when I complain". Funny, I wasn't going to complain because I understand challenging days in the service industry; but then when I said I get it we all have bad days and I used to work in patient care and customer service, he then says I can save my lecture because he doesn't even want to be here and he doesn't need it. I said well we all need our jobs, and Basel then says, " I don't need this job, I only work 1 day per month, I didn't even want to be here". At this point I cancelled the transaction, and confirmed his name, and Mr. Snide Basel goes on to say it's more important I get his name right then anything else. I'd like to point out he was not wearing a store ID, and by far is the worst customer service/ sales associate I have encountered. If he didn't "need" this job he could have done everyone a solid and called-in. CVS should do him the favor and the community a favor and FIRE him IMMEDIATELY. I never wish anyone to lose their job, given the climate but this young man needs to get his life together and never work people facing again in life! Whoever BASEL is at Store ID: #10461-12806 BROADWAY ST., PEARLAND, TX 77584 working 8/15/26 at 7:30pm should not work there!

The prices are okay, some of the snacks and other items can be a little expensive, but that's pretty typical for these types of markets. This Mini Seoul also serves hot food, which is a big plus. The chicken skewers are delicious, and I've gotten them several times for lunch. I really like the onions between the pieces of chicken, and the sauce adds great flavor.
