If zero stars were an option, I would give this location zero stars. Prescription and general deliveries are repeatedly marked "customer not home" when no attempt was made, forcing me to pick them up myself. I've also been incorrectly told medications weren't covered by insurance, only to confirm with my insurer that no authorization request had been submitted. It's nearly impossible to reach the pharmacy by phone, and the only way I've received callbacks is by leaving notes in my prescription portal. During my most recent visit, the manager, Fegen, was dismissive, initially refused to provide her name, and told me I would just have to come pick up my prescription despite the failed delivery attempt. Additionally the staff is just plain rude. Many times in person they wouldn't even acknowledge a customer waiting in line. I've been in the store where there' 6 or 7 people waiting in the pharmacy line and no one is assisting them at all. Overall, delivery reliability, insurance handling, and customer service at this location need serious improvement. read more

I visited this CVS after my doctor sent my prescription to this location, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The pharmacy staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I walked up to the counter, I wasn't greeted at all instead, I was immediately asked, "Are you picking up?" I even mentioned that a simple hello would have been appreciated. The employees here did not seem friendly, nor did they show concern for properly assisting with prescriptions. Because of this, I will be driving the extra distance to the CVS on 51st Ave & Baseline moving forward. I sincerely hope management addresses the behavior at this location. Additionally, I was told by the pharmacy tech here that she transferred my prescription to the 51st Ave location. After driving there, I learned that Tramadol cannot be transferred and that I would need a new prescription. The tech at this store clearly did not know this and provided incorrect information, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. Thankfully, when I arrived at the 51st Ave location, I was greeted immediately by friendly and knowledgeable staff. They explained the situation, assisted me with contacting my insurance, and helped me get the medication filled properly at the 19th Ave location. Worst cvs I've been to. Only came here because it's near home. It's always a fight to get them to fill my prescriptions. They constantly try to give me prescriptions I no longer take, and apparently no one can operate their software to change the settings. Supposedly they can't get anyone to work in the pharmacy, and they just pulled the last straw. The second drive through lane that has always been labeled "drop off only" but tas always been pick up too, just like every other CVS, has now been officially made drop off only. Making an update about the teen-girl-acting pharmacist. On top of being rude and straight up weird, not a single word that came out of his mouth was true. I checked with my old and still current pharmacy (I moved cities and was looking for something closer to me for my meds). I waited for 25 minutes in a frustratingly slow drive through to pick up 2 prescriptions that were ready. Just as I got to the front of the line, they closed window and announced they were closed for lunch as of 1:30. I got to the front of the line at 1:35, but I was waiting well before that. They all hid out behind a metal screen screen and pretended that shutting me out was entirely acceptable. The store manager had no control and did absolutely nothing to resolve my issue. Everyone needs to have a lunch break, but if they're going to shut down without helping everyone who's in line, they need to actively tell the people that won't be served so that they don't waste their time waiting. A sign in small print isn't enough. Telling customers that "this has been our policy for 2 years" isn't enough. CVS is clearly not interested in customer service. This pharmacy has gone through considerable turnover in a short period of time . I left and came back. The wait times can be long but through observation the employees are hustling as fast as they can go. It's apparent how busy this location is as prescriptions are placed into bins that are all over the walkway, I'm afraid an employee will trip over them. Anyway, now that they've gotten to know me it seems processes are smoother. There is a new manager, she is in unbelievably friendly which may be a nice change. Store manager and employees are far below professional. Manager Saul would hide behind aisles to spy on employees and nag at them to sell carepass while keeping employees severely underpaid. Supervisors and employees were never trained and would sass customers at least 3 times a day. I would also recommend washing your hands after buying any products from here as my hands were always dirty after grabbing a handlful of things to buy. Pharmacy staff is kinder but unfortunately very busy and slow but they try their best. This is a pretty standard CVS store, except I do have a problem with them failing to restock sold out items in a timely manner. This store is across the street from me so much more convenient than other drug stores, but when they ran out of my makeup and didn't restock it in 3 weeks, I finally caved & went to Walgreens down the road. I've been trying to buy rubber gloves for over a week now and the shelf just sits bare. Once, they finally reordered a ton of sold out items, but it sat in pallets on the floor for days. I asked why the merchandise wasn't on the floor and was told they were understaffed. Not sure I've ever seen a CVS in so much disarray. Haven't had any problems with the pharmacy and all of my prescriptions are here. Will still keep going here. The coupons are the best! read more

Though I like the pharmacist, the pharm techs at this location have the WORST customer service! Several times they did not fill my Rx within 24 hours, for different reasons. Never did they call me or my doctor and try to resolve the situation ... they just waited till I showed back up to inform me there was a problem. No apologies, not even a smile. The pharmacist once overheard me telling the tech that I had come back three times and my Rx still hadn't been filled. He offered me a gift card and apologized for my trouble, and I was very grateful. But really, me having to return three times for an Rx I fill every month? Inexcusable. Once I walked up to the RX counter inside the store to ask where to find an OTC medicine. I was sick, could barely function, and the tech didn't even look up from her cell phone ... she just said, "Isle ten." I said, "I looked in isle ten and didn't see it." She totally ignored me and kept texting!! I muttered, "Thanks for nothing," and stumbled away. Thankfully the same sweet pharmacist saw the interaction and dropped what he was doing to come and help me. There's a creepy tech with a greezy skullett that is rude every time (he has screwed up my Rx twice). Now he just takes my money and shoves my Rx through the window at me. I am happy that after months of asking they now apply my 25 dollar discount card. Well I don't take no for an answer anymore, I could change locations but [why I am having laser surgery done to my back so hopefully I will not need to go there every month. Before moving to Arizona, Walgreens and Long's were the closest pharmacies to my house. I appreciated Walgreens' cosmetics selection and online photo services but found the fact that they didn't sell alcohol (even wine or beer) and put their pregnancy tests in a closed case (who are they trying to protect by making women push a help button on the glass case to buy a test?) a bit disturbing. Long's had a full selection of alcohol and didn't seem to think it necessary to sequester their pregnancy tests, but had fairly high prices for common items. When we moved to Phoenix, we found that the closest pharmacy/drugstore was CVS, so we gave it a try and have been really happy with it so far. It has a great selection of everyday items, photo services, a full section of alcoholic beverages, easily accessible pregnancy tests, a friendly staff, and really competitive prices. Best of all, it has a rewards program (called "Extra Care") that actually saves you money and earns you real rewards. With a few exceptions, everything you buy counts toward your quarterly spending and displays on your receipt (e.g., Summer quarter spending: $75). At the end of each quarter, you receive 2% cash back on all your quarterly spending in the form of a coupon (e.g., $6 Extra Care bucks) that you can apply to any future purchase. Certain products are also attached to Extra Care promotions, allowing you to earn additional Extra Care bucks. For example, they will have a promotion where your purchase of a certain type of toothpaste earns you $2 to spend later. This pharmacy needs to do better. I've had several issues with them not filling my son's medication when it gets sent in... even after a few days since I don't pick it up right away. When I question them why it wasn't filled all I get is the I don't know. The techs take no accountability for their mistakes, only say 'I don't know'. My fiancée and I have been to CVS on 19th street and baseline since we moved in nearby. The customer service has seriously declined and today was the worst. The tech (Josh) was giving a fancy attitude and claimed he could not read cursive so he wanted to call the Doctor (at 7pm...). Yes, he tried to call the Doctor and of course nobody answered. I understand he needs to call to check despite the fact this was the exact same prescription we brought for almost 2 years, from the same Doctor, for the same quantities. We asked him to check the history but nothing would change his mind and I could understand. Now comes the really ugly part: because the tech had to keep the prescription to call tomorrow morning, we asked for a photocopy of the prescriptions brought. He didn't know how to use the copy machine (oh, I thought it was just for fax) and he showed it to the pharmacist who asked to put a huge cross and write in big: VOID. Seriously? Is she thinking we are going to try to fill out a prescription with a photocopy or maybe because we would change the quantities? This was a very unnecessary move and attitude. We took our prescriptions to the CVS on 51st avenue and the super friendly tech had no problem reading the prescriptions and filled them out right away! For sure, customer service and professionalism is a must. read more
