I don't use the pharmacy here so this is about the store in general. This store has consistently had better customer service than the one in Arroyo Grande so I drive extra to shop here. In this one, employees ask me if I need help, and if I ask about a product they walk me to where it's located. In my experience the people at the checkout have been friendly or, if not talkative, at least quite fast and efficient. Keeping things in stock is not stellar here (when an item is buy one, get one half off there always seems to be just one on the shelf), but it's better than other stores of this name that I've used. CVS has much better rewards (if you use their store card) than other drugstores and this is the one I prefer to use in my area. read more

We had some photos printed and they came out awful. Everything that was white came out blue. People with gray hair looked like Smurfs. We told the person at the counter and he insisted nothing was amiss. He tried to blame it on the flash (we didn't use one) then said the photographer didn't now what she was doing (she does). We asked for a refund and he said he would have to call corporate. Really? For a $10 purchase? We walked out. Will never go back. read more

Was surprised to see the pharmacy tech, Julianna, wearing her mask below her nostrils. When I ask her to pull it up to protect me, she said it works like this. I explainef to her that it's ineffective, then stopped, realizing she most likely has not passed high school biology. Julianna, quick lesson. Respiratory droplets come out of your nose the most. I have gone here for over 10 years. We'll move our prescriptions to a pharmacy that respects covid guidelines. read more

The staff are fantastic at this store! They greet you hello and goodbye, even when I forget to be friendly. They have a great wine selection - yes, I did write that about a CVS. The store is well organized and the lines to the pharmacy, even if they get long are more manageable than most stores! read more

1st CVS review, but shocked at the low basic competence of front desk and pharmacy of this location. Called px in hours before I arrived, was told 30 minutes on the phone, 3 hours later and still not ready. Listening to manager say hello to everyone walking in and acting annoyed when responses are not chipper enough. The place seems like a local hangout for high school drop outs. There must be better options in town than this. read more

This rating is for "waiting" for a prescription to be filled. Horrible! My advice is if they say "it'll take 5 minutes" that won't happen! Come back as you'll save yourself a ton of frustration. My 5 minutes took 30 minutes and I received a text at 20 minutes. I would have waited longer but I told the person at the counter that I've been waiting 30 minutes! I will never wait around for prescriptions to be filled. I'll wait till I get the text and then go in. I'd give them a 4-star rating for picking up prescriptions if they are already filled. Slow lines and length of time to obtain prescriptions are the low points here. After showing up three times, still no prescriptions were filled. This has happened several times. My guess is that they need more help or better systems to handle. Unless you have plenty of time to shop, avoid. read more

Today I went into this pharmacy for a couple things. I am ALWAYS in a cvs for prescriptions and beauty supplies. At the check out line, Natalie helped us! She was SO sweet. So helpful and I even signed up for the care pass membership!!! So excited to have meds delivered to my door and I get an additional 20% of cvs health brands.... what a steal!! Would not use this pharmacy except that it is the preferred provider for my insurance. I have a regular monthly prescription filled here and almost every time I order it they have to do a special order and that can take over 3 days from when I call it in. Caught the pharmacy staff lying to me about my physicians DEA liscense being expired. No excuse ever for lying to a customer. read more

This is a dishonest pharmacy. They contact your providers to get scripts without your permission or knowledge . They refill your scripts with out your knowledge or permission. They fraudulently bill your insurance. read more

I have formed a good relationship with the Pharmacy staff especially the front staff. They are friendly and the regulars know me which I like. They have been willing to help with requests to my Doctors for refills and information on New medications as well as over the counter Medications and how they will interact with my RX drugs. read more

Julie the pharmacist is always very helpful! My insurance is a pain in the butt sometimes takes days of work and she is always quick to help always very calm and sweet! They text me when my meds are ready everytime. And always quick to answer any of my questions I ask or if need help. I would suggest though to only send out two texts the most when prescriptions are ready sometimes can be to much. read more

Zero management interest in customer service. Mary was doing a great job at whittling away at a long line at the only open register. Manager shows up at the front to check out his buddy from neighboring OSH and the buddy's buddy, but does not hang around long enough to take care of customer with a return or other customers lined up to check out. read more

This CVS is always understaffed. The last straw which warrants a review is that they repeatedly don't get the coupons and discounts correct. The line is soooo long that you feel pressured not to hold up the line. The last couple times the clerk Mary collected coupons and Extra Bucks and didn't apply them. When I brought it to the manager's (Sonya T.) attention she defended the mistake saying that it's not her fault, "it's the computer". Really??? Maybe the 2 1/2 star CVS on Oak Park is a better bet. read more

I had an issue with a diabetic test meter, it started with me getting wrong test strips, this caused the meter I had to not be the correct one for the strips. Solution was to replace the meter. CVS staff spent hours working on getting me the correct meter, which they did not have. They started making calls to other CVSs. They found one 15 miles away I picked up the meter. CVS Pismo Beach went above and beyond to service me. I am grateful to them. read more

This CVS PISMO AT OAKPARK DRIVE and shopping center is sub par at best. The half assed over workedpharmacists are all amateurs. The staff including the Pharmacists have zero tact, intellect or compassion. A had a fire gut my outdoor travel trailer parked in the driveway, destroy my garage including cars, motorcycles, bicycle, surfboards, wetsuits, snowboards, skis, camping equipment, furniture part of my master bedroom, the master bedroom & bathroom were all destroyed during the Thompson Fires during December 2017. ..and the the absolutely horiffic flash floods & landslides (Killing 18) that followed jus two weeks later, destroying everything in its path for many miles, taking massive 10,000squarefoot mansion, cars, families, pets etc.. then sending rolling massive boulders the size of busses down the mountain through these neighborhoods along with 50-70 ft high trees rolling along with taking out even more entire neighborhoods of multi million dollars homes and estates... Thus January Was not better by any means after the Thompson fire. Therefore, obviously we already were spent after enduring these absolutely tragic situations. So after these tragic situations two get back on out feet. I felt a good start would be to start with a clear hear and get my medications back in order since losing them two fire and water damage in our master bathroom. Back story: During the evacuations I was not able to grab all my belongings including my medication that I need for daily for pain, anxiety, and ADHD. My doctor had no qualms about writing a new script under the sircumstanes. Not to mention my young children and teenager also needed their missing medications as well. My doctor saw and understood the horrific conditions we've dealt as a family over the past few weeks. So without incident or question, especially after seeing my photos and the news footage. My Doctor was compassionate patient and understanding. The Doc has no questions nor qualms in helping mmyself and my family. So when I arrived back to pick up my scripts from this Pismo CVS, I was told the "pharmacist Mike" refused to fill my desperate and necessary scripts. Telling me I just picked up our last scripts ones up 22 days prior and therefore I needed to wait 10 more days until he would release them. It's like he could no fathom that our last scripts were destroyed in the fire (mind you I had photos and proof, ...but this was not good enough for Asian Pharmacist Police Mike. These pharmacists have no clinical experience they have book smart and study to their test and that's about it. They have zero concept of the pain and suffering people go through. Yet CVS gives these 20-30 something robots the right to police their customers. I can only assume they enjoy pulling rank with their Big ignorant egos (your guess is as good as mine). But after hours of Mike and CVS PISMO's, B.S. my Doctor decided to step in. He called the Pharmacist "Mike" and tore into this Pharmacist with the facts and riot act on proper procedures with patients right. Finally after an additional day/24 hrs. I did finally end up getting my new scripts. Note, though, I was out of medication and suffering for over 72 hours because of this pharmacist Mike playing power trip and God. But I finally got word they were ready, finally upon my are time pick up the scripts of meds, there were zero apologies given nor zero explaining. Therefore with that, I decided to kill Mike the pharmacist with utter kindness and thank him profusely for his customer service and sympathetic understanding. ....but Mike the Pharmacist was having now of my kindness and decides he was going to be a complete ass, this pharmacist Mike ACTUALLY had the audacity to stand up and GLARE AT ME for thank him for his understanding and he completely disrespected me again, I was in awe. I thought "Absolutely swear/cuss unbelievable!!!!" For the record and reference, I've been going to CVS IN SB, Montecito, SLO & Pismo, for over 33 years and I have never been so disappointed and disrespected him n my life. I will NEVER USE CVS AGAIN. Just moved over to Rite aid in Pismo Beach across the 101 Freeway from the CVS Pismo. The Rite Aid I found to be much more customer friendly and really fast. On top of really sweet and caring customer service. Again Rite aid is way faster than CVS AND is compassion and respectful.... Trust me, Rite Aide is above and beyond much better a BETTER pharmacy. Probably the most idiotic pharmacists around. They literally didn't know what they're promotion was that was promoted on the sign outside the store. The girl said she was on vacation and didn't know. Called the pharmacist over, he had no clue. Asked the store manager and he didn't even know! Wowwww here's a huge sign on your window and you don't have a clue. That's how you know you're not in good hands. And the fact that I had a prescription and they said they had to make sure that it was correct and actually for me. Ok sure. I have been there twice. The first time, they screwed up the prescription. The second time, They messed it up again. On top of that, took them forever to correct it, took care of a bunch of people before correcting my prescription and their attitude was extremely unprofessional. Not even an apology. Ridiculously slow, prescriptions are never ready on time. Even after receiving notification that prescriptions are ready they aren't. They usually tell me it will be ready in 15 minutes which invariably ends up being 30-40 minutes. read more
