Then there is a wait of approximately 10 minutes. There is always a long wait to pick up meds, whether you go to the car pick up or go inside. Additionally, when a Rx is written and it is too early to fill it, the pharmacist never has it ready on the date that it is supposed to be picked up (or even a few days later.) You have to Call Them and ask them to fill it so that you can pick it up! My mother and I had to switch our Rxs to another CVS (Wading River) as the Rocky Point pharmacy closed for a short period of time. When the Rocky Point store reopened and we had switched our Rxs back, they were unable to fill one of my mother's Rx there. They said they could not get that dosage (BP medication) and that I would have to continue to pick it up at the other CVS (Wading River). I asked why they could not order the dosage my Mom needed in Rocky Point and the pharmacist said they tried to order it but couldn't get it! (???) I asked how one CVS can get the med in that dosage but not the other CVS? The pharmacist said she didn't know why. So I have to drive 5 miles to another CVS for one medication. I could go on, but that gives you an idea of the (lack of) customer service.

She told me I needed another card, even though she didn't bother to actually run or check the card. She sent me home, and I persisted and verified the card. I returned to the same pharmacist staff person, who finally deigned to actually use my card and sure enough it paid for the prescription two hours after the initial visit to the pharmacy for anti-anxiety medication for a senior!!! Staffer didn't even apologize. Rude young people in need of training and respect. We are ditching everything CVS and going elsewhere

When one of my medications is unavailable at the manufacturer, Noura calls me ahead to come up with a plan. Visited this pharmacy on August 8th, and was informed for the first time that the prescription expired 30 days after my doctor sent it in, and that I would now need my doctor to submit a new prescription. When I asked if the medication was now available, the pharmacist looked into it and indicated that it was not until further notice. She also disclaimed any responsibility for past actions of the pharmacy since she had not been there. So in the end, I waited three months as directed by this place twice to learn: 1. My prescription was no longer valid, 2. My doctor needs to submit a new prescription, and 3. Even if I followed this new information, the pharmacy still could not obtain the medicine I need. I know that modern life is complex, but I draw the line at farcical, inconsiderate and incompetent.

I was with my father and noticed the box was not sealed before we left the parking lot. We immediately went back in to explain and was not only belittled but yelled at about how we were at fault, somehow trying to get over on them by receiving 6 extra, and that I had only been a client for a year? As if that was somehow applicable to the short prescription issue. Like I said, I've been going to Town Drug for almost a decade with little issue and even have proof of this through old prescriptions. I asked if she could recommend something for my 14-year-old who was experiencing flu-like symptoms, and all she said was "Tylenol." She did not ask a single follow-up question about his symptoms, nor did she direct me to the appropriate aisle. I'm glad I didn't rely on her advice because I went to another aisle myself and found something more appropriate for his symptoms.
