This place has trash customer service. There's no way a hiring manager sat in an interview and thought those people were qualified enough to work in customer service. I prefer to use self checkout, but I had to settle for a cashier helping me, because my coupon barcode was too light to scan. I pressed the "Request Help" button, and some green haired Grinch came over and says, "You need something?" When I tell you I must have looked at that heffa like she had sh*t on her. I reapond, "Uhh yeah, the coupon barcode won't scan". She responds back with, "You need to go over there, then". I knew where "over there" was, I just wanted her to tell me, so I said , "Over where?!?" Her response, "the register". I get to the register and I'm assisted by a guy whom was over his shift, job or life. He had a melancholy demeanor and didn't greet me. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't welcoming, nor customer service friendly. I can not stand this CVS, and its not just because of the customer service. I visited this location a few days before Christmas and purchased a slew of items, like drinks, candy, chips etc. I checked out at 8:31pm and when I walked outside, I noticed the lot was nearly empty and since I just paid for my items, I figured it was safe to walk across the street to grab a couple piece of pizza. I saw the sign stating "Customer Parking Only." Since I had a receipt from my purchases, I figured that I would be safe. Tow truck driver was notified at 8:32pm and had my car hooked up and towed out of there on the hour. I wasn't sure why I would be towed? when i returned, my car was gone and I was advised by CVS Staff that I am no longer a customer once I checked out of business. I was blown away. I will never spend another dime in CVS for any reason and I am so happy to see how much shoplifting occurrs and I have zero empathy for CVS moving forward. This was such a ridiculous situation that I urge everyone to avoid this location at all costs. This costed me $600 to tow my car 1 mile when there was no reason to tow my vehicle to begin with. Experience was disappointing and to be frank about it. I was very frustrated. If your hours of service is from 7am till 11pm. As a customer I expect you to be open till 11pm. You cant be closing the store early! However, when I arrived to the location at 10:53pm. Their mobile doors were closed and I was unable to enter the store. If I could give zero stars, I would. Had a vaccine appointment here. When I got there I couldn't believe my experience. The whole setup was disorganized. They couldn't find paperwork or supplies. Then when it came time for me to get the vaccine the little booth was disgusting. There were exposed syringes and trash everywhere. The "intern" pharmacist was touching and bending the needle trying to get the last drop out of the bottle after touching her face, hair and everything else in that booth. The management of this store authorized a towing company to tow all cars that were parked in the parking lot for the mission inn festival or were parked over an hour. Over 40 plus cars were towed. No signs were up stating no "festival parking". Families were just trying to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Security guard could've at least warn people. I have been trying to purchase a product that I have bought at CVS for years. Now that this corona virus has hit I can no longer find it in ANY stores. My sister has even been working with a manager on the store close to her to see if he could get it. Every week he orders it and every week no show. One of the worst experiences ever. I went to three different CVS stores trying to get medicine for my eye. None of them had it. The lady at this store must be use to dealing with people without means because that was her attitude. I called the Firestone Urgent Care and told them no one had the medicine. They said to make it easy, to have the pharmacy call them. This lady told me she wouldn't be able to call until the next day. Pharmacies use to be a place of Customer care, but CVS seems to have incorporated everything, and dished the care. I'm having a tonsillectomy this week and was prescribed Tylenol 3 (Tylenol + Codeine) to assist with the recovery. If you know anything about this procedure, you know that it is NO JOKE for adults. On message boards, women who have had children say they'd rather go through childbirth than do this again. I was scheduled to have this procedure in 2016 but backed out because of all the horror stories. This year, I found an ENT in Marina Del Rey who uses a new surgical technique called tissue welding -- it cuts the recovery time in half and lessens the pain. However, there is still significant pain requiring Tylenol 3. I (used to) fill all my prescriptions at this CVS and figured this would be no different. I came on 3/9/18 at around 8:00 PM to fill it before the surgery, as instructed by the doctor. I also came to pick up sublingual Zofran to help with nausea during recovery -- they had this already because the request was sent electronically after I requested it during my Pre-Op. The pharmacist working that night went to the back, stared at the bottles, and came back to me saying they were all out. I thought this was a little suspicious, but I let it go. I then requested my Zofran, and as the pharmacist handed it to me, I asked him if I could leave my prescription there and pick up the medicine sometime before my surgery on 3/16/18. He stares at it again and then asks me, "Is your doctor's office open tomorrow?" And I replied, "I'm not sure" since the next day was a Saturday. He then says, "I'm not going to fill this -- even if I call this in and were to fill it, it would not be here for another 10 days. But the amount is way too much, and I will not fill this. You can try another CVS, but I know the pharmacist there will not fill this either." I said, "it's for a tonsillectomy..." and he just replies, "Yeah, I'm sorry, I won't fill this." And I left. I then went to Rite Aid, and they told me that they couldn't fill it right away because Codeine is a controlled substance, but they took my prescription and said they would call it in over the weekend, and if no answer, they would call the doctor on Monday. Rite Aid did EXACTLY that -- they called on Monday and verified everything with the doctor without me having to nag them, and my prescription was filled and is ready for pick up today. Contrast that with the sh** service I received at CVS - no attempt to call the doctor, NOTHING. Later I realized my script did look sketchy -- it's from a new ENT who is somewhat far away. However, this situation could have been explained with a phone call to the doctor. I believe the pharmacist lied to me when he said he didn't have it to avoid conflict. He also didn't state exactly what regulations he was following, or why he deemed my prescription unsafe. Just "it's too much, I will not do it." He might have been following policy, or he might have been a lazy, power tripping a**hole. The problem is that I, as the customer, viewed it as the latter. I left there humiliated -- I was basically labeled a junkie in front of anyone who was behind me. The bottom line is that CVS pharmacy failed to meet my needs as a legitimate patient. Rite Aid took care of me, so all of my prescriptions will now be filled at Rite Aid. read more

I had a horrible experience at this cvs today. I am only giving 2 stars and that's for Brooke and another young cashier boy who was very helpful and patient. The security harassed me and told me to get out of the store because I was taking long on my transactions . He came up to cashier and told the cashier that I was taking and that the girl behind me had been waiting a long time she had only waited a couple minutes and before her I had another girl go before me because I was taking kinda long. He then proceeds to keep saying I'm taking long and that I been there a while I tell him I waited a while also in line and I never complained that why was he being rude. I go to tell Brooke and I tell her that yes please to help me because the security guard was basically kicking me out. She was the sweetest and helped me because my coupons were not going through which is why I was taking long this CVS alwyas gives me issues with my coupons when I'm done paying And walking out leaving the security guard waited for me outside in his suv yell at me "good night and I hope you have a good night and thank you for lying and making up the story" I turned around and said excuse he said yea your lying and proceeded to tell me to go ahead and call whoever I want so I then went back into the store and let Brooke know that he was harassing me outside the store and he followed me saying all he told me was good night. Brooke gave him a look like again really and she kept telling him to drop it he then told me to get out of the store! I feel this was based on my race at how he spoke to me he had even followed me around the store a couple times and kept passing by me while I waited in line. I use coupons which is why I take my time in the store and a little long with my transactions which why I wait till the line is empty. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday and they called in my prescription to this pharmacy. Later on the day I go to pick up my prescription it's not ready. I go in the evening to pick up my prescription, they give me three out of four. I'm in such pain I don't realize that I wasn't given all of my medicine until I go home at night to take it and my disbelief it's not there. They are already closed so I can't get in reach with anyone. I currently have blood clots in both my legs and my long I need my blood thinner. Without it I could die a blood clot could travel to my lungs and my heart and my brain. I called this morning to inquire about my medication and why it wasn't given to me. They say it will be ready when I go to pick it up. The pharmacist in charge asked me if I'm pregnant because she was curious because of the medicine she's giving me but if a doctor subscribe me that medicine and they keep them hospital they obviously did pregnancy test which were negative right? I guess I'm the only one that has commonsense here. She also continuously asked me why didn't the team before give me my medicine or what did they say and in multiple different ways because she couldn't comprehend what I was saying I told her, no one spoke to me about the medicine they just did not give it to me I don't understand what else I can say for you to understand what I'm trying to say? Now you can see my frustration it's hard for me to drive because of the blood clots and it's hard to breathe because of the blood clots so now I'm feeling anxious because I'm upset with this female for ask me a bazillion questions that are needed and that my medicine is ready last night or earlier in the day when I went to go pick it up and I had to make three trips to pick up medicine. I think that's ridiculous. She looked confused so went and talked to the pharmacist...guess what he put in the WRONG medication for me. He apologized but when your dealing with medication your suppose to double check your work. I can't take certain medications so this seem extremely dangerous to me. World's DUMBEST pharmacists and pharmacy techs work here. It's now 7 PM, and I'm still waiting for my simple prescription that I called in at 2 PM. I called whom I now know is the head pharmacist around 2 asking if he had my medication in stock. I made SURE to ask if I could pick it up this evening, and he went so far as to tell me I "can pick it up right NOW" if I wanted because they most definitely have it in stock. I wanted to ensure I don't waste any more time because I had already called a dozen pharmacies asking for my meds. As soon as I heard the Market St location had it, I rushed over to my doctor's office to have them fax this CVS the prescription ASAP. Three hours later, just 5 minutes after my doctor's office closed, the imbeciles working at this pharmacy called my mother to tell her my medication isn't in stock. It gets worse. Furious, I called back and demanded to know why this man explicitly promised me I could pick it up ASAP when it's not even in stock. I tell the woman who answered the phone the situation, and she repeats in a bored monotone, "How can I help you." Are you kidding me? How much of a moron are you? I tell you your pharmacy just screwed up my entire day, wasting my time and effort, and she has the gall to repeat "How can I help you." I tell her she should discipline the man I spoke to earlier who made false promises, and this b**** kept interrupting me to give me the phone number of another CVS. Without even so much as a simple apology, now this airhead pharmacist promises me that she faxed over my prescription to the CVS on Alessandro. I get here only to find out that this freaking b**** sent it to the CVS on ADAMS. Oh my god. I call her back and tell her she made yet another enormous mistake and I'm paying the price for it. Once again, no apology. She insists she faxed it here twice, and it's still not here. Now because of the head pharmacist's and this other chick's error, the poor pharmacy tech here on Alessandro had to ask the ADAMS store to send it. I've been going to this CVS for my pharmaceutical needs since forever. Morphine pills, oxycodone, nannies, whatever I needed. And its been good. Reeeaaaal good. But it was last Tuesday that I really started to appreciate this institution. I was hard up for cash, due to my other vices, but I was craving something sweet. I couldn't afford anything, so I decided to steal a snickers brand ice-cream bar. Boy do I love Snickers TM. All copyright belongs to the Hershey's corporation. I put the snickers brand ice-cream into the pocket of my trousers and made a b-line for the door. Right before I reached the sweet freedom of the outdoors, where I could enjoy my ice-cream without judgement, a clerk stopped me. She was a young thing, probably in her twenties, with a nice rack, and she point-blank asked me, "Sir, do you want to pay for that Snickers TM ice-cream bar?" I immediately began to panic. For a few tense moments, I didn't know how to respond. Mostly because I couldn't speak english. But then I could feel the ice-cream begin to melt in my pocket from intense heat of my panic and shame. So I had to come clean. For the sake of my Snickers TM ice-cream bar. "Si," I admitted, in total defeat, "por favor, ring me up at the register." and she did. I dug deep into my pockets to find the $1.25 I owed. I came up with pennies, dimes and nickels, and even some pocket lint, but I managed the cost. And when she printed that receipt, that mousy, brown haired bombshell, and gave it to me, as proof of my purchase, I had an epiphany. This was the American dream! To rightfully own what you paid for, without question. I was so touched by this realization, I began to cry, and asked for some Marlboro Blend 27's to comfort me (which are excellent, btw).
