This is the worst ever CVS pharmacy. Two brief descriptions of my dissatisfaction. Prescription was not ready 24 hours after order time. It was confirmed for 12 noon and was not ready at 4 PM. Ability to provide customer service deplorable and impersonal. When picking up prescription at the drive-through, waited five minutes for somebody to come to the window. It was more important for the gentleman to finish something on his computer then to say good evening or show any a college friend even after multiple rings. When he came to the window the first thing he asked for was 'last name'. Then for another five minutes he could not find the prescription. After finding it, the payments transaction went without any conversation except for the dollar amount I was due to pay. The transaction was finished without a 'good evening' or thank you. read more

Very rude staff! Melissa- Pharmacist with no patient customer service skills! She is very rude! I am an Asian RN who speaks fluently in English, works as a Clinical Manager. She will look at you and talk to you as if you are stupid to understand what she's saying..It just shows the pharmacist who manage her staff is rude and of course the whole staff under her will be very rude as well! CVS pharmacy section staff especially the pharmacist should learn how to be more friendlier and show patient concern rather than showing their attitude as if they don't want to be there and work. read more

The employees and the the pharmacist in charge today were totally indifferent to my needs. After I stood in line to pick up my prescription medication, I decided to get a decongestant for a severe cold. The pharmacist recommended Advil Cold and asked me step aside and waited for assistance. I was confused because other customers were being helped while I just waited. It took a great deal of energy for me to just wait to be helped as I just had facial surgery. I could not stand anymore and asked the pharmacist how much longer I should wait. He said to join the line because the medicine was kept behind the counter. Why didn't he communicate that in the first place and made me wait for nothing. I asked the pharmacy employees for the pharmacist's name and the name of his supervisor. All employees refused to comply with my request and told me to wait to speak to the pharmacist when he finished speaking on the phone. I was so exhausted at that point that I sat down on the floor and waited. When I finally got to speak to the pharmacist he only gave me his first name Jean-Pierre and refused to give me his last name and the name of his supervisor. I told him that his communication skills needed improvement. I must agree with other customers that this pharmacy has always lacked decent customer service. People often face complete lack of assistance and indifference. Many of us come there right after surgeries because we have to pick up important medicines to help us recover. I would not recommend this branch of CVS. read more

Pretty much everything you want in a CVS. Pharmacy, food, photos, and more. The parking lot is decent, and its near a KFC and a Taco Bell, too haha. I like coming here since it's close to my house and Safeway is just too far of a drive. The hours are great, pretty much open 24/7, haha. I've never had any issue with customer service. I'd deduct stars from them if it was possible. We've been using them as our pharmacy for awhile; they've always been slow and prescriptions were rarely filled on time. However, we stayed with them because at least they didn't make mistakes. Until now. . . THEY GAVE US THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION FOR OUR INFANT. The name of the prescription they gave us wasn't even close to the one that our pediatrician prescribed him, but I figured it was a generic and thought nothing of it. But then, we noticed that the medicine was green (according to the label it should have been brown). My husband brought it back and the pharmacist said "well, at least part of the prescription was right." Luckily, we did not give our baby the medicine they gave us. read more

I dropped off my prescription and I wanted to wait bc I was out and I needed to take it that morning yet the technician insisted that I get my prescription the next morning because they are so busy!! WTF how is that my problem I need my prescription I'm out!!!! What was I thinking about coming here geez! If they are so busy hire more people in this economy I'm sure they can find plenty of people to hire!!! So I come back the next morning yet and behold my prescription is not ready did I get a phone call indicating that heck no! So there goes my 30 mins of waiting in line again! I come back for the third time and my insurance is supposedly not working so I give her my card and she tells me to come back in 20 mins to process the insurance, but I can't wait so I finally took my prescription back!! If you have time to waste come here otherwise skip this place they don't know the meaning of customer service or accommodating their customers. FYI if you have cvs Caremark it's accepted almost everywhere, they probably put the cvs logo to get you to use their pharmacy! read more

Went here on Christmas Eve because we decided that since everyone else was probably going to make Santa cookies, we were going to make Santa fried pickles! It was Christmas Eve, as I mentioned, and the shelves were relatively well stocked, and there were no piles of merchandise all over the floor. The store was orderly, the line moved quickly, and they had plenty of pickles, bread crumbs, and ranch in stock. read more

Don't come here, please! I am giving you fair warning that this place is a nightmare. The store itself is as disorganized as a Wal-Mart the day after black Friday, and the staff are just about as happy. My last trip there, I walked up to the pharmacy counter, dropped off my Rx and proceeded to shop for things I don't need. I was told that my Rx would be ready in 30 minutes. After the allotted time passes, I paid for my basket of things I didn't really need at the front register, so that I wouldn't bog down the pharmacy line, and headed to the back of the store to get my prescription. Not only was it not ready, they did not have one of the medications. The gal at the counter told me if I could wait 15 minutes they could have it ready for me. Steam, literal hot, high pitched steam shot out of every orifice in my head. (it was quite scary) I explained to the woman that I had already been waiting 30 minutes, and asked why no one had bothered to inform me that they were out of stock of on one of the meds. Her response was that they could expedite the other RXs for me. This was not good enough for me. I took my paper RXs back from her, returned all of the junk I didn't need anyway and made an attempt to speak to the manager. That went nowhere. I don't want an apology. I want them to fix their store! I had been using this pharmacy for about a year, and regularly had problems with them under promising pick up times, screwing up prescriptions, filling ones that I hadn't asked for, and couldn't get a consult with the pharmacist if my life depended on it (when it comes to drug interactions, your life actually could depend on it). The only good thing about this pharmacy is that it is open 24 hours, but they are just as busy at 12am as they are at 6pm. There are two nice pharmacist who work the overnight shift, so if you need to go in the middle of the night, as in between the hours of 2am and 5am, you can get great service. Do not, under any circumstance, go to this pharmacy. Drive the extra 10 minutes up 28 to the CVS in Darnestown. You will thank me for it. read more

I wish there was an option to give these guys zero stars. I called on Friday night as I was leaving work. At first they couldn't find the prescription my doctor called/sent in. After 10 minutes it was found. I explained that I have new insurance and the woman said, "Not a problem, just bring it with you." I asked if the prescription was ready yet and she said it would be about 10 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later and the prescription still wasn't ready. "I meant 10 minutes from when I got your new insurance information." Well she could have either A. mentioned that or B. taken it over the phone. I gave her the new information and she said the prescription would be "Two-Fifty-Three." I freaked and asked how five little generic pills could cost $253. She goes, "Oh I meant it's two dollars and fifty three cents." OK. Fifteen minutes later my prescription is still not ready. However, a crowd has now gathered. I walked over to a tech and explained that I work in a medical facility and that one of my patients has just shown up. I explained that my privacy is critical and to please only use my first name when letting me know my prescription was ready. The tech stepped over and explained the situaiton to the tech who was calling out names. Five minutes later that tech called me by just my first name (thankfully) but then the tech who went to ring me up used my last name. The tech I had spoken to leans over and goes, "That was the one I said no last name!" She replies, "Oops!" with a giant smile on her face. I'm standing there very annoyed and put my other items on the counter. "I don't think I said it THAT loud." I didn't even have a response. She asks for my card and because I just wanted out I said I didn't have it. Usually at this point they use the store card but that would have taken effort. She rings me up and charges me full price for two items that were $10.49 each but buy one get one 50% off. I explain the sale and she begrudgingly uses the store card but it won't ring up so she manually enters a discount of $4.50 and asks for my card. "$4.50 isn't 50% off of $10.49" I informed her. She walks away to do the math and comes back to give the additional discount. Typically they'll round up, making my discount 75 cents but the tech did 74 cents. Not that big of a deal but it just added to my frustration. As I walked away I approached a manger and explained this all to him. No apology, no offer to compensate me, nothing. He just nodded and said it would "look into it." Good to know CVS is doing so well. Guess they don't need my business. read more

This pharmacy is the WORST. It deserves negative stars. Every prescription takes at least an hour. Today, there was a 5 hour delay on all fills because they are soooo backed up. When I arrived, I waited at the drop off counter for 5 minutes while the gentleman at the computer right in front of me conversed with his co-worker about how backed up and behind they are. My prescription was dropped off at 6 and will be ready around 10. read more

I went to this CVS because it was convenient to my doctors' office, not because it was near where I live or work. I dropped off a prescription on a Friday, and was told they did not have enough of my medication in stock, but could provide some of it, and to come back Monday. I returned on Monday, only to find out they are still out of stock, and to come back Tuesday. Tuesday, I decided to call, seeing as they clearly could not be trusted to provide correct information regarding when something is in stock, and was informed that their supplier had stopped carrying my medication, and that I would have to take the name brand formulation, and it would cost me a few hundred dollars for a 1 week supply. Needless to say, the prescription is getting transferred and I will never patronize this farce of a pharmacy again. read more

By default I have gone here several times due to convenience and the fact that my insurance is caremark. I was looking for tamiflu which had been called in and they had no idea about the recent request. When I showed them the hard copy of the prescription they immediately announced no CVS store in the area carried this medicine at the moment and the pharmacist said he couldn't tell me what other pharmacy had it in stock. They had been trying to get it since Thursday he said and didn't know when the medicine would arrive. I am standing there sick as a dog as he tells me this.. There are only about a dozen pharmacies in a 5 mile radius and he couldn't nicely say, try the grocery stories? or target? I wish there were a way to let the higher ups know how inefficient and rude their employees appear..... read more

Worst cvs pharmacy ever! I've been using cvs pharmacy for over 10 years for my prescriptions and never have I been to one that is so slow and incompetent! They really need to train their staff on how to be more knowledgable behind the counter. It's really frustrating to drive back and forth numerous times because of their error! There isn't a single time , call visit , prescription , day month year or hr, that this cvs has my prescription ready even after 5 days . Called in , entered online , faxed in, dropped off , etc. I told , oh we didn't get it. :( if you depend on it and truly can't live without it or you can and may die .... They don't seem to care. The pharmacists at this CVS are out of line. They continually undermine my authority with my patients, and cause confusion and doubt. When I write a prescription for a patient, I am aware of the patient's medical history, of the other medications they take, and the potential risks and complications of the medications I write for them. That a pharmacist would self-righteously question my judgement is inexcusable. I have had several patient cancellations, spent numerous hours undoing the damage done by the pharmacist at this CVS, explaining and re-explaining MY decision to prescribe specific medications. read more

This is by far the worst pharmacy in the area. They seem to get overloaded with prescription requests, and never have the prescription ready. You should anticipate at least a 30 minute wait at the pick-up counter. The drive through pick-up wait is even worse. read more

My husband was on hold for 22 minutes and 19 seconds. He hung up and called back and someone answered the phone right off. He asked for the store manager but she said she could not get back to him for an hour and a half to investigate the problem When he went to pick up my medication, they said there was an insurance problem and made him get in the customer service line. After confirming that there was no insurance problem, he was told that they didn't have my medication in stock but could give him 3 pills. Then he had to get back in the first line to pay for it. I wish this was a one time experience, but it is not. They are always understaffed with long lines and poor customer service. After two years of putting up with this due to proximity, we are changing pharmacies. read more

I used to go here a lot and had no issues. The other night I worked very late despite being sick and came in for some cold medicine. I picked up some lipstick and wanted a price check and the lady at the counter was unnecessarily rude and downright petty. She loudly apologized to the man behind me who waited a full 1 minute for the price check for the "long wait" as I was leaving. He really didn't care and we both became immediate uncomfortable. It was embarrassing. Look, I work an extremely stressful job. I get that sometimes you'd rather be somewhere else, but at least be nice. I'm always a thankful and kind customer since I work in a service oriented job. This lady has worked there for a very long time but maybe you should consider new staff. read more

Worse CVS pharmacy experience ever. I don't understand why every other CVS accepts my insurance except this one next to children's medical center. Do not get your prescriptions filled here. $62 for medicated shampoo??? $130 for vitamins??? I went to another CVS and my prescriptions were filled for free. I gave this CVS 3 chances because it was close to my home but I rather continue to travel to another for great customer service and my prescriptions filled with no co pay. read more

Terrible/rude customer service - I've been flat out ignored, and there is always a long wait. If I had to guess I think there's poor management, it's probably understaffed and there's a new person helping me every time I'm there, must be a high turnover rate. Poor customer service!!! Took 2 days to fill a prescription that I had to get filled at another CVS. They had me come back to the store to pick up my prescription to take it to another CVS. Dispensed EpiPen with expiration on the box 2 months before the date listed on the Rx slip. Meant to go to school for school year, would expire well before the end of the year. Refused to exchange or replace or do anything for that matter. EpiPens are life and death, people. Pharmacist could not have cared less. We have long dealt with long lines, major screw-ups, lack of communication (i.e., when they don't call to let you know they are out of something), failure to fill Rx in time (often many hours), seemingly incompetent staff and management- for the sake of convenience of location. I have been going to Target pharmacy for years, but had to use this CVS pharmacy since my insurance changed to Caremark and this store is very close to home. However, there is not one time I have been to this pharmacy location without someone being rude (nasty condescending rude) to me. I am not the complaining or confrontational type, and I always try to be nice, but the people there just treat most customer in a very nasty, rude, and condescending way. Hopefully other CVS pharmacies are not like this one. I have never seen such a thing and I will drive further since I have given them way too many chances. read more

How are people allowed to work in a pharmacy when they have no idea what each drug does? I came in with an rx that was "out of stock." So I informed the ONLY EMPLOYEE THERE AT 10 PM that I am completely out of my medication. She just looked at me like I was a moron. Then I had to explain to HER that missing THIS medication causes SEIZURES. Once she knew that, she at least called another CVS in Gaithersburg to see if they could fill it. I received a partial fill & came back for a second time. Then, when I returned for my refill, I had to go to Montgomery Village to have it filled. They DID call to let me know the medication was out of stock, 2 days AFTER the refill was called in, and 24 hours after the time it was promised by over the phone. read more

Pharmacist filled prescription incorrectly for my child. Thankfully I am one to double check otherwise god knows what could have happened with wrong medication given to an infant. Today, my mother went to pick up my sons prescription and the employees indicated that they never received the electronic submission from the pediatrician, called pediatrician, they faxed and electronically submitted again. No supervisor on duty, was transferred to pharmacist Dana, who refused to give her last name. She was rude and nasty and I am awaiting on a phone call back from the district managers. No one should have to go thru the service that all these people below me have been to. Better off going to the CVS down the road from them on darnestown road, or even better, any other chain. I usually go to walgreens in the village. Much more courteous and professional staff. HORRIBLE SERVICE. YUCK. NEVER GOING BACK. SPREADING THE NEWS. This CVS is a nightmare! I can't even get a manager on the phone. Someone has to do something about the pharmacy! There is always long lines and they don't answer phones. They can't fill the prescriptions on a timely basis. I was In such pain the other day after a tooth extraction, prescription went in around 5:pm , my husband drove over twice to pick up, nothing there. Awful. I had MAJOR invasive surgery and needed scripts filled. My mom dropped them off and gave them my name, dob and phone number. An hour later the scripts had STILL not been filled because they COULDNT FIND MY NAME and because they didn't have one of the prescriptions in stock. Nor did they even bother to call me. Again, this was after I had major surgery and was in A LOT of pain. Screw this place. They suck read more

My doctor called a prescription in, they didn't have the medication on stock for over a week after my doctor called it in. They initially told me that it would be ready after a couple of hours, but a week later they still didn't have the medication in stock. Calling in takes about 15 minutes, as they just keep you on hold trying to convince you to give up and hang up. Slow service, terrible pharmacists, should not be operating anymore. read more

I have gone to this CVS three times to try and get passport photos. The first time, I waited around for 45 minutes to get someone to take my picture. They quoted me the price of $11 for that small photo and then said that if I take the photo myself and print it there, it would cost me 29 cents. So I left and took my own photo and came back the next day. The employees ignored me as I tried to use the photo machine for 45 minutes. It didn't work. Then I asked and asked for help. Then they just found my trashed photos from the day before and used those and charged me the 29 cents that they said they would charge me....but said that really, it always costs $11 even if I take the photo myself. The third time that I came to get a photo, I knew that I would pay $11 no matter what. Well, I tried to print my own first. I battled the photo machine for 45 minutes until it printed photos that cut off way too much. So, I tried to stand in line for a long time. When it was finally my turn to ask for help I asked if I could get a passport photo, and the employee glanced at me, but then a lady cut in front of me and stuck her CVS card under the scanner. I became invisible to the employee, I suppose. I mean, I must have been invisible the entire time since no one tried to help during the 45 minutes that I was struggling with the photo machine. So I just had to leave. I will never go back there. read more

A few weeks ago I had to visit CVS at 4am because my dog - a puppy - had kennel cough. He had been coughing all night and after taking him to the vet at 1am, we ended up at CVS to get the prescriptions he was required to take. Sue (blond lady) was working back at the prescriptions area and she was the nicest person. I was hoping to find a tired enployee but she was very polite, patient and kind... She gave me extra tips to help me giving the medication to the dog and made me feel more confident regarding the antibiotics. I deffinitely reccommend this CVS for those who need to buy emergency prescriptions during the night. read more
