This CVS is centrally located on Detroit Road in Rocky River. I frequent this area. I'm a regular at this store. I stop in get medicine or toiletries between grocery store shopping trips. I enjoy my experiences here. STORE: The store is well organized and clean. It looks very presentable. It also feels safe unlike some other CVS locations. INVENTORY: The inventory is always well stocked. There are no items out of place or bare shelves. I can always easily find what I'm looking for. There are plenty of clearly marked sales on many items here, great value! Seasonally you can find decor, gifts, and sweets for various holidays - Christmas (75% off sale), Valentine's Day, and Easter. There is a good aisle of Valentine's Day gifts. Valentine's Day chocolates are currently on sale so you can start shopping for your sweetheart or your lovely self. You'll also find more practical winter items - shovels, snow brushes, and cozy blankets. SERVICE: Service is pretty good at this store. All customers are greeted and addressed warmly. The checkout is always staffed. Interactions are pleasant. PARKING: The store is in a plaza with multiple businesses. The parking lot is spacious. Two entrances/exits are available for easy in/out. The only issue is that the parking lot is not always tended to in a timely manner in winter. During my last visit the parking lot was very slippery and due to an incline it presents an issue. Few customers assisted someone pushing their car so that they can leave the parking lot. I was also sliding in this parking lot. The parking lot should be salted in a timely manner. Overall, the store is one of the best CVS stores around the area. The store is presentable, staff if very friendly, and there are many deals. I can always be expeditiously in and out. The pharmacy staffing and responsiveness is very hit and miss, sometimes just bad. Transferring prescriptions is often too difficult. Their automated phone system is not fully functional; it has another required question towards the end of an annoying sequence, but won't accept an answer. It automatically hangs up. I could not reach a representative or pharmacist by finding any word that the software would accept. I'm surprised because I assumed cvs branches would be much better in good suburban neighborhoods. read more

Changed to CVS in Lakewood because they take extremely long to fill a prescription. Unfriendly and just plain rude when picking up. Will ignore you and give you such a snarky attitude. Asking for my personal information while on her phone.. just so odd and unprofessional. With Lakewood I've noticed my prescription is filled quickly and I'm out the door. Super friendly and nice. Came to write this review because I realized you don't have to deal with unpleasant people. Change your location! read more

This pharmacy is slow and the staff is unfriendly and seems incompetent. In person or over the phone the tone is just not it when asking question and one never really feels taken care of. The layout is obviously not helping since everybody in line behind you hears your personal details. One of the staff seems to be hard of hearing and you have to divulge your name and birthday rather loudly. read more

I was already very scared and confused about a medication I was prescribed --the person I spoke to was so incredibly rude and condescending while she answered my questions. What a horrifying experience. Please stay away from this location if you can. read more

I called to determine the status of my prescription. Instead of having been able to speak with a person, the recorded voice instructed this 76-year-old to "secure a pharmacy app on my mobile telephone by downloading a link which will give me a one-time text". I'm unsure about the above process, and probably will die before I can figure it out. read more

This CVS is tucked away in a corner of Rocky River that is not always easy to notice or access. While the staff is always available the length of time you seem to have to wait for prescriptions is much longer than most. While I know they are not in a position in their current location to add a drive through it would be fantastic if they had one. I prefer CVS to Walgreens and Rite-Aid so I will continue to support this CVS, just hope they are able to move to a better location and enlarge their Rocky River presence. read more

I do not typically like CVS. My experiences have generally been poor in most stores. Well don't tell corporate, but these people at this store are really nice, and the shopping experience is usually pleasant. Shhh! The store is tucked in a little strip, which I usually forget about, as it is down a hill. Store is not real bright, which I find odd for a drugstore, but hey...what do I know? It is nice and close to the house, so very convenient. I enjoy this little store, and watch sale ads for better prices when possible. read more

My company now requires us to use CVS Caremark and I have had nothing but unpleasant experiences since I switched from Walgreens on Center Ridge to CVS on Detroit. Not only is the staff unfriendly, could even say rude, but they are unhelpful. I recently took in prescriptions from my dr. and apparently there is a new rule that prescriptions past 2 weeks cannot be filled. I asked CVS to call the doctor for an updated prescription and they refused. I contacted my doctor directly to ask for the prescriptions to be rewritten and they were dumbfounded by CVS requiring this. They said they never had this experience with any prescription in the past even pain meds. Usually it is cleared up with a quick phone call. Once I got the new prescriptions written and mailed to me I again took them into CVS. They could only fill 2 of the 3 prescriptions since they don't carry the 3rd...would have been helpful if they said that when I originally went there with them. I asked them if any other CVS carries them and had to practically force them to pick up the phone to call. So frustrated, I went to Walgreens. I will probably have to pay out of pocket, but so worth it for good customer service. read more
