This new & modern coffee shop in Rocky River is still in their soft opening phase! Tucked in the corner of a small plaza off Detroit Rd & Lakeview Ave! Tone House is a new kind of coffee shop- offering mushroom coffee, chafa, monk fruit, collagen, protein, ashwaganda, lions mane, organic ceremonial matcha, AND MORE! Their coffees really seem like a craft! The barista helped me picked the collagen crush.... A mushroom coffee base which supposedly slowly gives you coffee instead of all at once. This drink contains: COLLAGEN PEPTIDES/10G PROTEIN, COCONUT SUGAR, CACAO, ASHWAGANDA & LION'S MANE, VANILLA BEAN, & DOUBLE SHOT!! I had never had mushroom coffee before and I was scared because I do not like mushrooms.... But after my first sip i realized she was right! It was a delicious blend of all these ingredients but I was still able to taste the coffee!! I cannot wait to see what else this coffee shop offers once they get themselves fully settled! This is going to be craft coffees- something you've never seen before!!!

The vibes are wonderful. I loved the pig king picture. The place was packed on a Sunday at around 10am.  This place is a third space heaven for those seeking one. I ordered a cortado with oat milk, which was wonderful and tasty. My husband ordered the iced drink that has bird in it. He enjoyed it. It was too cold for me to order an iced drink.

FOOD/DRINKS -- Limited food options but plenty of drink options. Typical pastries and breakfast sandwiches are available. During my June 2025 visit, I bought the Biscuit Sandwich ($10.50) that has Beyond sausage and vegan egg in it on a cheddar scallion biscuit, with hot sauce on the side. The biscuit sandwich was absolutely delicious. The uniqueness of the cheddar scallion biscuit matched perfectly with the vegan sausage and egg. I believe the biscuit is house-made. I'm not vegan but I loved this breakfast sandwich especially with add some hot sauce to bring out the flavour. Writing about this breakfast sandwich now is making my mouth water. I also got their banana bread that tasted good just as a typical banana bread would. The banana bread was soft and moist and they gave me two for the price of 1 perhaps because they wanted to get rid of them. Drink options are typical of most coffee shops serving both coffee and tea. During my June 2025 visit, I ordered a Matcha Spritz ($5.50) -- matcha, lemon juice, blueberry fruit syrup, sparkling water and ice. This was a very refreshing drink and not too sweet at all. I would definitely order their Matcha Spritz again. AMBIANCE -- Community focused as they have a bookshelf of free books to take (at least they did back in June 2025). As for lighting, the coffee shop isn't as bright inside as I prefer and the dark fixtures don't help. Free WiFi to use and a lot of people come here to work on their laptops. Service was good so I'll definitely be back. Parking is free street parking. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 84/250 total reviews in 2026 - 925 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 May 2026

5/5 STARS!!! NUMBER 1. NUMÉRO UNO!!…read more WOW, QAHWAH HOUSE COFFEE is the best coffee shop in Cleveland and this is coming from a non-coffee drinker. I tried their Jubani, a light roast coffee and it is out of this world. Out of all the Yemen-based coffee shops in Cleveland, QAHWAH HOUSE is my favourite. HISTORY -- They are the original YEMENI coffee shop that existed in the United States, the first. They offer premium Organic Coffee from an 8th generation family coffee farm in Yemen. Qahwah House brought their coffee from Yemen to the United States in 2017 and have grown ever since with locations in over 10 U.S. states. They have 2 locations right now in Columbus, Ohio and 1 location in Cleveland. They are still expanding across the U.S. AMBIANCE -- Chic and cute. Beautiful inside with lovely light fixtures, amazing pictures on the wall of their famers handling the coffee beans, and an overall great design. Right in the center of the coffee shop on the wall is a lovely map of the world that shows the distribution of coffee over the years. TEA/COFFEE -- Their coffee beans are hand picked by humans in Yemen and sun dried on the roof of houses. The beans are a green colour and they use an elaborate and specific process to grind/roast the coffee. I tried the Adeni tea which is excellent plus I asked for light sugar. Because I sat in store, the tea came in a tea pot plus a small cup for me to drink it with. The tea pot is a great idea because it has a small candle underneath it to keep the tea warm. I was given a sample of their Jubani coffee which I absolutely loved. The Jubani is a light roast coffee with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon. The Jubani is very good and I highly recommend it. I'm not a coffee drinker but the Jubani blew me away with the taste. PASTRIES -- They also sell different types of sweet and savory pastries. I got a tomato and olive pastry while I sat in and it was delicious. I also got the Sabaya ($5) which is a light pastry that is supposed to have butter inside but I didn't taste any butter. The Sabaya comes with a side of what appears to be honey or syrup. The Sabaya tasted dry but I only ate it later that night or the next evening (I didn't finish it). SERVICE -- is absolutely outstanding, in my opinion. Everyone that I met was super nice and friendly. Tony, I think that was his name, explained to be the process of how the coffee is roasted in this big machine that sits right at the entrance to the store. He showed me the coffee machine. He told me so many interesting facts about their coffee and about Qahwah House in general which I've already highlighted/written in this review. When I arrived and told them it was my first time here but I don't drink coffee, an hour and a half later or so, I was brought a sample of their Jubani coffee. I was surprised yet happy that they brought me a coffee sample plus I loved the Jubani coffee. With friendly and excellent service, amazing coffee and tea, good wifi, and plenty of tables/chairs, I will definitely be back. TIP: There is a free parking lot. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 119/250 total reviews in 2026 - 960 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 June 2026

I've come a few times now and everything I've gotten so far has been good. My favorite drinks are probably the pistachio latte, mofawar, adeni chai. There's a promotion May 1-14 (2026) with their special (black sesame latte) where you can get 50% off of you order off their app. There wasn't an issue ordering off the app, the only thing is that if you order off the app, you don't get the restaurant pager/buzzer so you may have to check in at the register to see if they got the order, which is what I did since it was pretty busy. Ended with the black sesame latte which was aesthetically pleasing like their other drinks--though warning if you don't like the gritty texture like all black sesame drinks are, then maybe this isn't for you. Pistachio latte is still my favorite, but maybe I'll try this again with regular sweetness instead of light. Parking available and free as it's in a strip mall. Staff are nice. Really comfortable sitting space, plenty of tables with people socializing or doing work. Just be warned that it may not be the best working environment at night when more people come to socialize and also celebrate special occasions. Overall solid cafe choice for drinks/sweets/environment. Always full of people when I visit.

She was efficient, helpful, and genuinely kind. Unfortunately, today's experience was the complete opposite. At 7am, I washed two kids' jackets (size 6-7) and one full-length medium winter parka in machine #16. The machine was only about half full. I pretreated everything, but when the cycle finished, all three coats came out still soapy and stained, with visible OxiClean residue. I brought this to the attendant's attention and showed her the items and the leftover soap. Instead of addressing the issue, she suggested I should've used a larger machine...even though this one was not close to full...and then implied I may have used too much detergent. Her "solution" was to run the washer empty to check for an error code before considering re-washing my items. I explained that I didn't have an extra 30 minutes to wait for that process b/c I have to go to work, and that it didn't make sense to delay resolving the issue when the results were clearly not right. She then stated she couldn't rewash my load unless the machine was proven to be broken, because the cost would come out of her paycheck. At that point, I dropped it because I didn't want her to be penalized financially...but that response alone is concerning from a customer service standpoint. When I asked for a way to contact management, I was told to leave a Yelp review instead because she had done everything she could to make me happy. So here we are. It's disappointing that after 6 years of consistent business, a clear issue with a machine wasn't handled with basic customer care. I would've appreciated a simple solution or even an attempt to make it right, rather than being met with deflection and inconvenience. I hope management sees this and reconsiders both their machine maintenance and how customer concerns are handled moving forward.

With two young children, I can't wait to pop this in the oven one night and enjoy an easy meal. So awesome that they offer these and such a variety of options as well. These would be great to grab and share as gifts with people going through health or other issues. I don't know anywhere else in the area that offers this and it's so great to know! Thankfully my husband brought home a menu so I could peruse all the options they have. I can't wait to try some of their other options!
