Stopped here on a Sunday after a trip to the lake. We were immediately greeted and seated. My group chose the outdoor patio so we could enjoy the nice weather and still watch the Guardians game. What was especially nice was that much of the patio was in a shaded area. There are actually two sections of outdoor seating: regular tables and a complete bar. It is a very cool setup! I had the gluten free pepperoni pizza. This is one of the best gluten free pizzas I have ever had. I would definitely order it again! We started with a hot Bavarian pretzel as an appetizer. It was excellent, warm and fluffy with just enough salt. My wife ordered a taco platter that she enjoyed. My son had a chicken sandwich and fries that he ate completely. Well, he ate most of it, I stole some of the fries. lol. I did not try any of the beer, but they had a wide variety of options. Several tables around us seemed to be enjoying their drinks. I'm from here originally and this place has been around awhile. The food is always good we got the beer cheese soup, goat cheese balls, and tuna salad. The food is always good. The service is less than by far not good. It was like they had 1 girls and she was in the weeds most of the time. It took way too long to have to order- and then took too long to get the food - the only thing that was fast was getting my check and making it to the airport. The server didn't smile she would've rather been somewhere else I'm sure. Then the big one- a customer was letting their children run around like it was daycare center - any proper place would've addressed the parent that this is a liability - if the child were to fall and hurt themselves, they would be able to sue that restaurant but instead, I had to feel like I was sitting in romper room for most of the time I was there while this child just ran around now this has nothing to do with the server what it has to do with his management and leadership not addressing that issue. That's a halfway decently nice restaurant, but I wouldn't tolerate that even if I was sitting at a McDonald's or an Applebee's of someone just letting their child run around and hide tables and stomping around and screaming, and making all kinds of noise it was complete bullshit. So whoever is the owner and or manager that was on shift that day should have addressed that issue or have the server addressed the issue. So be prepared if you go during lunchtime that it may or may not be a daycare center. read more

RRB is a fun place to have drinks or enjoy a meal. They have a great selection of beer as well as mixed drinks. The food was decent, we tried the teriyaki chicken- very good, fish $ chips, great, fried pickles appetizer - one of the best ever, black bean burger - very good, and falafel special - just okay the falafel was pretty basic and dry. This is my 2nd time at this brewery. The atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is a nice size, with an equally nice sized patio as well. The wait staff is superb. I never caught her name but the server we had on Saturday night April 26th was fantastic. Super friendly, super knowledgeable. You can tell she knew how to be a great waitress as she always kept an eye on us and never let us go thirsty. The meals we got were both great. My wife ordered a Salmon meal which tasted very fresh, cooked perfectly and seasoned properly. I ordered the Wings. 5 - Garlic Parm and 5- Siracha Honey. Extra crispy with ranch and celery of course. These were fantastic. Probably Top 5 wings I've had. The presentation being served in tiny buckets was great. The flavor, crispness and size is what makes a great wing. These all were checked off. For dessert , we ordered a giant cookie with ice cream. It is good. It's exactly what we knew it would be. Giant sized cookie. Feeds 2 people. We ordered chips and salsa for an appetizer. Average chips and salsa however the Salsa was spicy. Now the only place unfortunately that RRBC falls short on is the brewery aspect. The beers ordered were flavorful however the pickings were slim. I think they had like a variety of 8. 4 of which were IPA's and we are not fans. Not much to choose from but overall still not the worst. I like this place a lot. I definitely will be back. The other small part was not much of a merchandise section. No big deal. Overall 8.4 out of 10. read more

A great local brewery with decent food. I have a few favorites here like the chicken bacon ranch pizza and the Asian nachos pictured here. Fill your growler with some great beer while you're there too! Service is always great and a typical brewery type atmosphere with plenty of TVs. Gets busy on the weekends but wait time is reasonable. This has quickly become one of my go-to spots because it's always solid -- a laid-back, family-friendly vibe, friendly service, and good food that everyone can agree on. Oh, and their beer is pretty good, too! In nice weather, RRBC's patio is pretty perfect. Though the restaurant itself is on a busy main road, the patio faces sideways, so it's not too noisy, and it fenced by plants that keep you from looking out over the parking lot. It's also got a lot of space AND a lot of shade -- clutch for sunny summer days. My go-to is the Waldorf chicken salad sandwich, which is served in a croissant. Whatever you get, though, be sure to get the fries. I swear theirs are among the best in town! read more

Once we got those drinks, we waited at least 12 minutes for the server to return and take our orders. Food was tasty but very small portions. Stopped in as it is part of the Cleveland brewery passport list. Hostesses and servers all seemed to be in high school together and were not very professional. Started with a flight either four or eight pours from their beers not able to do any of their outside beers on the flight even when some of their beers were unavailable. Ultimately after not liking any of the beer we opted to not waste time on food here. The bartender was also not very friendly or attentive and the inside area was so cold it made for a very unenjoyable experience. Maybe try the outdoor patio if you choose to go here. read more

I like to go to breweries that offer a variety of fun flavors and taps that often change, but Rocky River Brewing doesn't really do that for me. The beer list seems to always be the same and there is nothing unique about it. I also wish they did flights like most breweries do. I did not eat there, but the group I was with had some appetizers. Everybody raved about the Asian nachos and they said the tots were disappointing and undercooked. The reason for the low score is the beer. A brewery should have good beer. And shouldn't pass off a certain beer for what's "hot" right now. 1. Not sure if you can see corner of my poutine order. Their hazy is not a hazy. I'm not sure why that would be classified as one. Hazy Days beer in case anyone curious. It looked like Pilsner or maybe an Amber Ale. 2. Wife's beer was just okay. She opted for the Pirate light. The food was good. Wife liked her turkey wrap. And my Poutine's meat was really tender. The jalapeños were hot. Not your nachos type mild. Outside the patio is inviting and looks great and inviting. The interior is dark, with themes of dark wood. We were passing through and decided to give it a go. But will probably not return. I came here to eat with my cousins while visiting, and I thought the food was amazing! They are regulars here, and I can see why. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and clean with such a fun, but still family friendly, atmosphere. Our waitress was great and our food was ready so quickly, especially considering how busy they were when we went! We got the buffalo cauliflower and fried pickles as appetizers, I've never had either but loved them both! I have no idea what the sauce was for the fried pickles, but it was amazing! I got the Santa Fe salad and really loved it, too. We also got the deep dish cookie and vanilla ice cream for desert to celebrate a birthday, and it was a big hit! Stopped by Rocky River Brewing Co with the fam recently. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. I tried a glass of cider, which they had on tap. I loved it, so I ordered another one. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, which was pretty tasty. It had much more breading than I'm accustomed to on calamari. Also, the Asian sauce was a little heavy and I found it to be overwhelming. The flavor of the sauce was good, but there was too much of it. For dinner, I had a Santa Fe salad, which was really tasty, but I couldn't finish it because of the appetizer and two glasses of cider. The chicken was grilled and tasted fresh, which I loved. Brew and food how can you go wrong as there really isn't much else that I really could ask for food wise other than a cold brew and something to balance it out! My friend and I basically came here on a whim as it was in the area open had food and brews as it was getting kinda late but fear not it was what I was totally good at this point in the night! For me it was the blueberry ale as soon as I saw it as fruit beers generally are my go to when it comes to beers as I just enjoy the taste especially when it was as yummy as this one was as you can tell they take pride in making their delicious brew! When it came down to ordering something I went with the pomegranate chicken salad as I was just feeling something light and this was it the greens all tasted fresh the chicken was cooked perfect and still warm over the salad which is a big one for me as It wasn't too hot enough to wilt the greens but hot enough to enjoy it together with that delicious pomegranate vinaigrette! Overall our food was good the beer was good we both enjoyed our time here I really can't see a reason why I wouldn't come back here again another day for some of what was totally good! read more

I like this place. It's really good. I love the summertime patio with live music. The drink selection is satisfying. The food is pretty good. I honestly need to go more often. Perfect for date nights. The price is really fair. 5 stars for excellence. Although I really enjoy this place, I feel like the inside could feel dull and seem uncomfortable. I decided to get take out. The fish fry is not like the fish and chips bucket they used to have. The fish pieces were small and all breading. The sweet potato fries were soggy. And one of my fish pieces tasted like bad fish. When I called I asked if the fried fish was fresh but I think it was frozen filets. I would not recommend the fish fry. read more

I'll be honest and say that first impressions were not good, but once the food arrived, I was a very happy camper. First impressions-hostess didn't even greet us when we entered the restaurant, she just stared at us and eventually said in a snotty way "just two people?" The hostess is the first thing guests notice when entering a business and it is a huge pet peeve of mine when they are not inviting. My second impression was when we were given menus and they were sticky and had chunks of food on them. During a pandemic, it is pretty upsetting to be handed dirty menus. My husband and I have been nervous about eating out places as is so this didn't make us feel great about it. The good stuff-We ordered a Caeser Salad and a Blackened Perch Sandwich to share. I didn't really have any expectations as I had never been here but I was verrrrry pleased with the food. The salad was big and I'm not sure if they use anchovies in their dressing but it was really delicious. Great, bold flavors with a bit of an umami taste. The croutons and parmesan shavings were great too. 10/10 would order this salad again. And the main course, oh my frickin' goodness, this sandwich was seriously magical. The perch tasted as though it has been seasoned and fried in butter, haha. It was flakey and moist and just dang good food. It is served with lettuce, tomato, remoulade, and on a tomato focaccia roll I believe. My husband and I were both licking our fingers giving each other weird smiles as we enjoyed the sandwich. I would absolutely, without question order this sandwich again. Overall, we had an awesome experience, although it didn't feel very clean or socially distanced if I'm being honest. We'll definitely come here again but we might wait until after the pandemic. read more

What a beautiful afternoon for patio beers! This was our first visit to RRBC and we weren't sure which beer we would like best so we did a flight. Their own brews rotate but we had Blueberry Ale, Rockytoberfest, Little Red Rooster, and Monster Mash (pumpkin). It worked out well because I preferred the blueberry ale and the pumpkin and my husband likes the red and the Oktoberfest the best. Our server, whose name she never said, was very nice and pleasant. She was new but I wouldn't have known unless she told us. She was attentive and friendly. I'd like to go back for a meal so I could try the food - there were many yummy looking options on the menu. I ate outside at the Rocky River Brewing Company with a large family group and it was the perfect summer night spot! The outdoor seating is so lovely, and the food and (most) drinks were delicious. Everyone I was with liked the beers they ordered, but I would not recommend the flavored lemonades (because they just taste like cheap strawberry syrup). The waiting staff could have been a little more friendly but overall this was an enjoyable experience! The music playing over the speakers, while at times a bit loud, was enjoyable as well. Rocky River brewing It's an interesting restaurant brew pub with vibes of a sports bar with bar food. It's kind of corporate and a little like one you would find in a mall but that's my own prejudices. We came in late about an hour left but they seated us and served us with no problem. They have a nice patio area and they can accommodate family and other groups outside or inside. Of course they also offer their own beers and have a moderate variety.It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The other thing is it's very loud and sometimes the conversations you overhear not intentionally are pretty political. I was glad we were able to get a nice large table inside They were able to seat our large family group.. There were all kinds of appetizers we shared because we were such a large group so I got taste quite a few. I really enjoyed the Asian nachos they were really good. I had one of their dry rub wings and it was great. Also had one a piece of their homemade pretzel dish with jalapeno dip which was good fun. I shared a French dip which I also enjoyed. The apps came out relatively quickly. We had the bucket of pretzels jalapeño stuffed and cream cheese stuffed. Both of those were REALLY good. The server came back took our food order, the main course room a really long time to come out. From what I could tell they had a decent crowd but not overly busy. I ordered the chicken tender bucket with fries and ranch. No complaints with the food at. Everything tasted good and was good quality. The only complaint I had was the time it took for service and food to come out. The waitress was very nice and attentive when she was over. But it felt like they sat us in the corner and forgot we were there. For a brewing company they didn't have a large selection of beer, I ended up getting a glass of wine. I came there at 5pm. The Two young ladies they don't take call ahead. I said I know, Explained what I had been told when I called a week and a half ago. They said I would have to comeback at 6pm and wait. I had knee surgery and I had several older folks and standing and waiting were not options. So now I am forced to try to find a last min place to take my family. So everything I did ahead of time to help make it a smooth process went out the window. It can get pretty crowded on the weekend and the parking lot is long and skinny, so sometimes that might be a challenge. But there is a drop off portion to get inside easily.
