The Store cash register - not the pharmacy...
    Matt C.

I like this pharmacy a LOT. They take good care of the prescriptions that I have filled there. Most of my meds come thru the mail (required by my insurance) but that is recent. in the past we used them for all - because of the drive-thru, and COVID. The check out process when picking up is almost always fast. Sometimes there's a line - but that happens. They're friendly, nice and very helpful. Most recently I got my COVID Booster there and that was a very pleasant experience. It was quick, easy, the person did a great job of the vaccination experience and we were out in a flash. I LIKE This CVS and we've moved since we started here, but I like the place and we are established here. There's a CVS or two closer, but I'd rather drive a little farther because I am comfortable with this Pharmacy.

As always, the cashier (this time it was Corynne) was knowledgeable regarding the deals and coupons. It was a quick and smooth transaction. I love this CVS branch.

I had been waiting for this new store to open for months now as quite honestly CVS has been a favorite chain of mine for years now however finding a kick ass location has proved to be quite the raiders of the lost arc journey for me....... Because this is a brand spankin new location opened less than one month I am not going to withhold the fourth star as several "technical difficulties" and malfunctions occurred on this maiden voyage. I'm issuing the forth star because of "how" the store employees stepped up and chose to handle them which proved great customer service and teamwork and that goes one hell of a long way for me. Size: This is one of the smaller stores however it was well stocked, laid out and had some really good sales going on. The floor plan was well designed and made navigating a new store easy. Drive thru pharmacy: Genius invention and I'm in the process of transferring my prescriptions over to this location verses the current location of the closest Walgreens which based on where we live is in BFE and this CVS is way closer and fills my needs for this service. Bucks-back machine: By far CVS has the best frequent shopper coupon printing spitting outter machine beat by none that I have found to date. However on yesterday's trip the machine suffered serious malfunctions and jammed up repeatedly refusing to print out my long over due coupons. Now for some this may not have been an issue however for me could cause a large internal; small external meltdown as I love coupons and they make me unbelievably happy so when the machine locked up 3 times the manager immediately attended to it and didn't quit until he finally got it to work. Excellent form! Customer service: Once again the emailed coupon didn't transfer to my CVS card as has happened so many times in the past however today when it happened as I was checking out at the register the nice young lady offered to extend the discount on my items after I showed her the screen on my phone with the email and proof of it supposedly posting to my frequent shopper card which in all honesty was the fair and just thing to do however no other clerk at any other CVS store has ever done that. Excellent form and everyone knows who uses their card that it not posting to your card happens entirely too often. Pharmacy staff: More technical difficulties however not on their end but on the end of my Vetrinary Clinic I use where they totally dropped the ball x4 times in less than 24 hrs failing to fax and or call in one of our beloved pups hard to find medication. The CVS staff rocked it and at the helm was the pharmacy manager Sumara who went to painstaking lengths to hunt down Lysodrene a adrenal gland medication for our pup that no vet seems to carry yet prescribes; let alone any pharmacies even for human use but she did it and had it shipped to their pharmacy in less than 24 hours for me. Excellent form! I have high hopes for this location and the fact that they are located directly across the street from Trader Joes, Papa Murphy's Pizza and Great Clips; 3 businesses I frequent regularly is more than an added bonus.

Since that first referral I have been regularly getting medicine for one of my pets there, and have even requested another pet's prescriptions be sent over to them. The staff and pharmacists are exactly who you want on your side when you are dealing with the complexities of medicating pets. And what is cool about this pharmacy is that they don't just cater to pets, but they compound for humans AND animals. After my experiences with them, I would definitely request prescriptions for myself, or my family, to be sent to them, too! They have gone above and beyond, to help me get the right type, and quantity, of medication for my pets. And because of that professionalism and care, I will continue to go to them for my guys' compounding needs. For some context: for years, I had tried to use pills for my guys. I'd give them whole pills, placed them in edible pockets, crushed them up, mixed them in with wet food and broths -- it didn't matter. It was ALWAYS a hassle. And while yes compounded medication will cost a little more than buying tablets directly from the vets. Remember: you are paying for a professionally made solution, designed to taste appetizing for your pet (if given orally) or to be easily administered externally (transdermal). The price is nothing compared to avoiding the likelihood of unintentionally traumatizing your pet, and yourself, when you try to do it on your own. Make it easier on them and on you, it is worth paying a little bit now to save everyone on the chaos in the long-term. And if you have a pet that has a chronic condition, you're going to want to make medicine-time as smooth as possible, because it's going to be a regular part of having them in your life. In the end, there is nowhere else I would rather go. If I were to move out of this area, I would still have my guys' medication sent to Professional Village Compounding Pharmacy, they are worth the drive. They are worth your business. If you need something for your pets or your loved ones, or yourself, this is where you want to go.

Yesterday, the long haired blonde pharmacist, when bagging my medications, said with an oddly unpleasant tone "see you tomorrow". I asked her if I had a medication that would be ready. She responded in a now rather sarcastic tone, "no, but I see you here everyday". That was very rude and disheartening and I didn't know how to respond. This type of "medication shaming" in regards to frequency can negatively affect someone who is struggling with medical conditions and would rather not be taking medications to begin with. It did not feel like a friendly comment like "have a nice day". It was way too personal like I'm being tracked or judged. I do not feel like going to this location if these types of unprofessional comments will be the norm from this pharmacist lady. Next thing you know she'll start commenting on my medical conditions. Sensitivity training should result, in the event she encounters a customer that is ashamed of being sick or suffering from depression, or other mental health issue that affects self esteem.

HA! Reasons why I love CVS and this one in particular, is the fact that parking is never a struggle and the employees are friendly and helpful. Most of the time, things are in stock and I don't have trouble finding what I want, need, or want to think about buying. SIGN UP FOR THE EXTRABUCKS! The coupons, ExtraBucks, and 2% cashback makes it so fun. There was once a time where I couponed SO HARD that the balance went to $0.00! I love to challenge myself to see how much LESS I can pay, for an item or two, compared to big retailers. I shop for makeup here. I've been coming to this CVS for so long that I remember when they didn't have ELF and now ELF makeup is back! The brand I am most loyal to here is Wet N Wild. I love the self-checkout feature. If there's ever an error or I need help, the employees are timely and communicative. One time, I had this coupon that was not working and the manager went above and beyond to ensure that the coupon worked for me! I will never talk bad about this place, ever. The pharmacy can get busy at times but I've never had a hard time with the staff. CVS is a retail store so there's always stuff to be put out on display; the workers do their best and I appreciate their efforts and work. When Christmas is over, their sales are worth checking out so you can load up on gift bags, gift card holders, and wrapping paper at half the price or cheaper. All in all, this CVS is my favorite. I walk in with a coupon and leave knowing I got a good deal on my purchase.

What a difference a week makes! On 17 October 2025, I posted…read morethat Sacramento's Midtown Target had permanently closed its restroom for customers. Its closing, I wrote, had been ordered by a Ms. Ashley who had just been named the store's new Director. A week later, on 21 October, I returned to Target Midtown -- and the customer restroom was open! It has remained open since, much to the relief not only of customers, but store employees who no longer must turn away people desperate for a restroom. What happened? According to one Target team member, who will remain anonymous, it came down to a lack of communications at the store at 1707 J Street. A day or two before my original posting, Ms. Ashley had introduced herself to Target Midtown's staff. Among other things, she told them she was committed to Target's policy of clean, open restrooms -- and that she would return in November to officially become the Director. Somehow, her words were misunderstood! Believing she had called for closing the customers' restroom, the employees immediately shut it down, when in fact, Ms. Ashley wanted it open! After reading my original posting a day or two after it appeared online, Ms. Ashley tracked down my email address. On 19 October, she sent me an email that said: "I apologize that you were denied access to Target's restroom during your (latest) shopping experience...You should expect to see the restroom open on your next trip into the store. Please reach out to me if that is not the case." In her email, Ms. Ashley indicated she had again spoken to top employees at Target Midtown to clarify matters. "I have reinforced the open-restroom policy with the leaders at the store who are running it until I report in November," she told me in the email. Ms. Ashley apparently found out abut the restroom crisis by reading my Yelp posting. Though I haven't met her, let me say it on the record: Ms. Ashley may be the best Director this Target has ever had. The employees respect her; they like her -- that's what they have told me. Thank you for reopening the restroom, Ms. Ashley! And thank you, Yelp, for posting my words. Target employees told me they, too, are glad the customers' restroom is open again. "It was really difficult to tell guests there no longer was a restroom for them," one Target Team member told me. In closing, I apologize for my delay in posting this follow-up, but I have been extremely busy. Thank you!
