I am so upset. We've been trying to get my sons prescription all week. We've been lied to you over and over about when it will be ready. His doctor faxed it in on Saturday. I tried to pick it up Saturday and was told it wasn't ready and to come back the next day. I went again on Sunday and was told it still wasn't ready and to come back later in the day. So I tried again Sunday night and I'm told they never received it. I was annoyed that they wasted two days before telling me that but I bit my tongue and called his doctor to resend it. She resent it Monday morning. My husband went to pick it up Monday at 8am. It was right when they were opening so they told him to wait 10 minutes while they filled it. After waiting for it, they then told him it's "on order" and would be ready anytime after 12:00. So then I went back again Monday afternoon and they told me it wasn't in stock but they had ordered it and it would be coming in the next day. On Tuesday I drove there again and of course it wasn't ready and again the excuse was that their delivery was coming in the next morning, I guess they forgot they had already used that excuse the day before and told me the delivery was coming in the previous day. Now it's Wednesday and my husband went to go get it. They had the nerve to tell him it wasn't ready yet. He told them how many times they've told us that this week and then she changed her story to say it was on backorder! At this point he got upset so she says she will check with the pharmacist. After a few minutes the "backordered" drug MIRACULOUSLY appeared! I would also like to point out that each of the 7 times we drove to CVS to pick this up we had to wait in two separate lines- since the pickup line can't tell you what's going on and the order line can't tell you if its ready. It's seems that they tell you your drug is on order as a tactic to get rid of you when they are busy. They rob you of your choice to go get it elsewhere since they make u feel like it's about to be filled. Our son has severe medical and psychiatric disabilities and he has been feeling AWFUL for a week because CVS strung us along instead of being honest and given us the opportunity to go elsewhere. read more

I used this location to send money via "money gram" to someone who was very dishonest and ripped me off for a lot of money. I tried to call "Money Gram" and they don't answer their phones, I put together a written appeal to the two companies that ripped me off using their payment platform which CVS offers as a service months ago, and today my certified written appeal was returned in the mail saying it was unclaimed! "Money Gram" is a rip off and they allow dishonest people to use their payment system to steal your money, and CVS offered their service which in my opinion is not a good thing. If you happen to read this post, don't use "Money Gram" and don't go to CVS until they stop supporting this service as a good thing. read more

The store is great. The PHARMACY IS TERRIBLE. My doctor faxed over my prescription, a new one with a different dosage - TWICE. I went to pick it up and they handed me a refill of my OLD prescription with the incorrect dosage. When I brought this to their attention, the girl could not find the new prescription anywhere. I asked if they had any record of it anywhere, and they had no clue where it went. They also put me on auto-refill which I never opted in to. When I asked to be taken off it, they gave me a number to call. Just really bad service there. I would not trust your medications at this store. read more

I have lived here for 27 years. The store staff is awesome. Pharmacy leaves a great deal to be desired. The Pharmacist with the very thick accent needs to be removed. I have new insurance, it wasn't on their file yet. They stood there telling me that they were calling me, phone in hand, it is NOT ringing. That is number one. I give the new thick accented lady my new insurance card and she continues to do what she's doing, ignoring me, so I set it down and head for a seat. I had a high fever just coming from the doctor. One of the perscriptions I had was NOT covered by my insurance. While they have paid for it before, I get it, times are changing. Pharmacist told me the cost (324.00) and handed me the sheet stating denial. I told her they have paid before, but that was okay, I wasn't going to pay that. She told me it was going to get a lot worse! I am assuming that was a shot at Trump. Now I am not sure what kind of "Oath" these people take. But heads up went to GoodRX and the first coupon was Walgreens. That $324.00 was $12.50 at Walgreens. CVS was about 5 down with a cost of $58.00. I also found out they stop taking Tri Care. Bottom line, lots of Pharmacies and this is NOT the first time the lady with the thick accent has been rude. She thinks that she is better than everyone else and who the hell gets that much JOY out of NOT helping someone. I am done with this ill treatment. Rite Aide you get my business. The pharmacy is horrible. If you call plan on being on hold for 30 minutes. When I finally spoke to a woman in the pharmacy she was rude and nasty. She was not aware I could hear her talking when she thought I was on hold or had set the receiver down. I heard her say "i was a f...ing lady....". I have been using this pharmacy since 1993. The quality of the service has been going downhill for the last year. There have been constant mistakes and now rude employees. I don't even personally use this pharmacy, but I do work at a doctor's office and this pharmacy is by far the absolute worst to deal with. Every time I call I'm put on hold for at least 15 minutes and then when I finally do get a human on the phone they want to argue with you. I dread having to deal with this pharmacy. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with, if there were any other in my area that took my crappy insurance I'd go there in a heartbeat. They have misplaced prescription scripts and denied it, later locating them in their safe when threatened with Medicare fraud and notified me prescriptions were ready when they weren't, never apologizing for anything. If you can go anywhere else you should. They suck! A quick addendum, I just got suckered in to making a trip in to pick up a prescription their automated text message system advised me was ready, this is the third time I've fallen for this. I love CVS because they sell almost every kind of makeup that a girl could want at affordable prices, all kinds of booze, perfume, and pretty much any type of toiletries you need for yourself. However, the pharmacy customer service at this location could be majorly improved. They're really slow and unfriendly. I come to the pharmacy here once a month and they always have a line at least 3 people deep. The pharmacy techs seem like they're always in a bad mood or they just really hate their job. I am at CVS as I write this. As usual, my prescriptions are not ready despite being told my prescriptions would be ready by my requested pickup time. There are at least 8 people here waiting for their prescriptions that were not filled by their requested times. It is absolutely ridiculous. This is, by far, the very worst pharmacy. The staff is incredibly rude, and I have to allot at least an hour for waiting time at this CVS. I wish I could give this pharmacy a negative rating. Apparently the posted hours mean nothing to them. They refuse to answer the phone at 11:45pm and the girl was closed the gate 10 minutes before the posted closing time (midnight). The store said they close early constantly. This is not the first time they have given horrible service. Last month a pharmacist told my husband it was his fault they had the wrong medication for his diabetes. Mind you had already had doctors office on the phone listening & a copy of what they faxed over. The male pharmacist was so rude & argumentative with my husband his sugar flew through the roof. I had to drive over there & have a "chat" with him about his attitude how and to talk to customers. He did apologize to my husband after our discussion. This use to be a good pharmacy when they were open 24 hours but no more, we are now in the process of transferring everything to another place that actually cares about customers. We will still shop the rest of the store but never again the pharmacy specifically due to the pharmacists that are currently there. read more

Twelve years ago my wife was diagnosed with an incurable bladder disease which leaves her in pain 24/7. CVS pharmacy on Los Mares has been our pharmacy for almost 30 years and has taken care of her wonderfully. Yesterday she went in to pick up her pain meds and was met by the NEW manager, Ary. She first noticed how rude and dismissive he was to a couple of his employees in the pharmacy, but NOTHING would have prepared her for his arrogance when he looked up her pain prescription. He informed her LOUDLY (in front of many customers) that he won't be giving her anymore prescriptions "ON HIS WATCH" at this store. A grandma of 11, my wife does not abuse the meds, she simply wants to live comfortably as long as the Lord gives her. He was SO loud and humilliated her in front of several people. He told her what her doctors are doing is against the law. SOMEONE please get rid of this guy before he does any more harm to any more people!!! read more

I was treated like a drug addict tonight when I went to fill a prescription. I have filled this prescription plus others at this location in the past with no difficulty. I spend half my time in San Clemente but the good doctors are in San Diego... But tonight when I handed Rey the paper prescription he walked over to the pharmacist who took one look at me and refused. They said they're not allowed to fill prescriptions written by doctors who are "out of the area". They've never had issues filling this exact prescription written by this doctor before. First: Most people in these reviews are writing about the wrong pharmacy. This one does not have a drive thru, for one. It's also located in the Ocean View Plaza by Ralph's, and it's open 24hours unlike the other one. The pharmacy at this location is far more efficient and the employees I dealt with have always been helpful. The only problem I ever encountered was last night. I had to make a late run to get my daughter medicine as she woke up late with a fever. As I'm approaching the counter I realize an older lady is in there buying a ton of stuff. "Odd" I think to myself and then I continue about my business. The manager offers to ring me up so I head over to his register and then he proceeds to complain loudly about this older woman being in the store for over an hour buying all this stuff and asking questions, and saying weird stuff like, "Its her fault, she's been in here forever" while pointing at her when my phone number wasnt entered correctly for my cvs card. And "oh if you wait in line behind her you'll be here over an hour". All of this is being said while that customer is standing not even 5 feet from him. Look, having worked in customer service , I can see how that would be annoying, but it made me feel so awkward and caught in the middle. It's one thing to have the little side conversations to vent when a time consuming customer is gone, but not while they're STANDING RIGHT THERE where you can be heard!! From what I could overhear between her and the cashier helping her, she sounded like a nice lady that maybe just needed some company or something. She wasn't being confrontational or aggressive, and shit, she was spending 100$ or more. At least the cashier helping her treated her nicely, but I felt bad for that cashier too as you could feel the tension of her managers backhanded comments making her feel as if she shouldn't be tending to that customer (she still did). It sounded like the guy jumps between stores when needed so who knows if I'll come across him again, but something tells me employees who've had to deal with him haven't exactly been thrilled either... read more

This is the best pharmacy and we've loved it, but no more....because the hours have changed. We live 10 miles away and because I was there for exercise early am, I could pick up the prescriptions @ 5 or between 6 and 6-30 am. Alas, no more. And, at Christmas time, I would spend between $250 and $300 for Stocking Stuffers - but no more. The pharmacists are delightful, lovely and attentive However, we are ordering exclusively from Express Scripts - mail order - from now on and I'm sad about that. Lesley Boyer read more

This pharmacy has undergone many changes over the years, and the 24 hour availability I loved is no longer an option. However, the team at this CVS Pharmacy do their best to acknowledge customers in line and hustle to get through the queue to serve customers as fast as they can. Occasionally, I have had to fill prescriptions at other locations (Costco, Walmart, Walgreen's, etc) and I find that the speed, accuracy, plus the professional and warm customer service to be far above any other competitor, and even superior to other CVS locations. The only 1/2 star ding I would give against this location is that there are magazines with inappropriate content within view of the wait line. I normally do not care, but found it terribly uncomfortable when my 5 year-old daughter read some of those sexy attention grabbing article titles on the cover out loud to those of us in the line. After being a customer of CVS for 15 plus years, I will never ever set foot in that pharmacy again. I already thought the service was bad, but today when I picked up a prescription, they shorted me, and then proceeded to tell me that the medication was counted "correctly" 100% correctly, by their staff and I received the right amount. And this was 3 minutes after I completed the purchase. It is a medication that I can only get every 30 days and need to receive the full amount, but they did not take into consideration that I have been a loyal customer, or that perhaps they could have miscounted. They did not even suggest that they should check their inventory to make sure they did not miscount. I am so flabbergasted by this complete lack of customer service. Bad experience today. An older lady cashier by the name of Kay was chatting with a customer about various things (gun control, immigration laws, etc) I politely waited until they finished up their conversation (they finished their transaction several minutes ago) Kay did not care to service me even though I was waiting in line. Ot of necessity I tried this pharmacy again! Worst mistake! My brand prenatal vitamins are $50 and generic co-pay is $10. I've been going to VONS Pharmacy in SJC even tho it's out of the way they are great. Anyways been going there to refill my prenatals for the last 6 months. But they were out and we were leaving on a trip so I needed them right away. They called CVS for me and they had them in stock. I come to pick them up they say $69 for generic! WTF!!! Then they call my insurance and tell me my insurance deductible hasn't been met and we need to pay $250 before they will accept $10 co-pays.... Ummm this is news to me. And why are my generics more than the brand? They tell me each pharmacy has different mark ups... So she admitted to me that they over price the meds for a CVS mark up... it actually came out of her mouth? I left decided to wait on Vons when I retuned... Paid my $10 co-pay as usual hassle free... no $250 deductible.... I don't know how they get away with this stuff... It's ridiculous!!! I wish I could give them negative starts!!! Dear CVS Management, get the pharmacy staff some help!!! I usually give a place a few times to get it right and I have had my patience exhausted by this pharmacy staff. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the store staff are pretty helpful. I blame this on the store management. Most of the pharmacy staff is genuine and nice, but they are so STRESSED out. Get these people help. You get some real doozies when calling. They are rude and short with you and I've Ben hung up on. They blame the doctor or the insurance company. One script took 3 weeks to fill. I'm glad it wasn't a life or death script. I've been getting prescriptions filled for decades and never had an issue until coming here. Worst service ever and many times. I live in san Clemente and wanted to like this location for convenience but after so many bad experiences had to post a review. Always long waits, very grumpy employees, worst drive through I've seen with bad access and a window that almost every driver has to open car door to gets meds. They have no technology to remember customer info so every time you start over and they can't keep payment info on file. Inside the store is a mess and smells bad. I have to say, this place is a lot more then a Pharmacy. This place has things that range from candy, hair care, cards, alcohol, and other good things that will keep you occupied till your prescription is ready for you. If you notice though, the bathrooms are now locked due to the idiocies of customers and their hormones. read more
