Why such low ratings? This is the most well stocked CVS in the San Jose area. They usually have what I need. The pharmacy? I've had one issue in 16 years. Yes the line gets long at rush times. Like after morning doctor's appointments after their lunch and after work. Try another CVS and you'll see the shelves are half bare. Only issue is the wireless signal at times. I came to pick up a prescription and the person at the counter tried to tell me that my insurance doesn't cover prescriptions. It wasn't until I asked the pharmacist to get involved that it got resolved. I later found out that my doctor prescribed a three month prescription, but they only gave me one. I then had my doctor call on Tuesday to get this resolved and I went in on Saturday to pick up my prescription again, to which they told me it's in the queue. And I was asked if I wanted to wait for them to fill it. I don't understand why it was not already filled since they've had the request since Tuesday. Our family came here to get our vaccine shots and fortunately for us the pharmacy staff were friendly and efficient with checking in. Be sure to come in a lot earlier than your actual appointment time to do the check in. The machine didn't t work and the phone said check in was disabled so we lined up at pharmacy counter to do it. We checked in 15 minutes before our appointment time and we actually were called right at appointment time. The pharmacist who gave us the shot was very nice and cordial. Then we bought some items from from the store and the female employee there was very nice too. She quickly rung our items up and even did 2 different transactions since I had a $10 off coupon. Btw, for future reference, if you get a vaccine shot at CVS they will send you a couple for $5 any $20 purchase. I totally could have used it but was already home by the time I saw it. read more

This is for the pharmacy only. This location has always gotten a bad rap, for years. This is my neighborhood location and it has undoubtedly been upgraded recently. The space, the staff, the pharmacy manager - it seems even some procedures have been updated. No one staring at you from the back hoping you'll go away! Fast service - staff will come forward to help as soon as a line starts forming. TBH, I never understood why 1 or 2 of the 3-5 ppl in the back could never come help move the line. After all, your filling refills. Move the customers first. For the store itself and the floors, they are always clean and tidy. I used to come here yeaaaars ago. I had Kaiser for a while and didn't need to for some time, but I recently switched insurance and was so scared to come back to a normal pharmacy. I have to say, I'm incredibly impressed. The past few times I've had to come in for pick up (because I usually opt for mail-in when I can) the pharmacy techs and pharmacists have been so efficient, kind, and honestly take so much pride in their work. Have been coming here for years and after many many unfortunate experiences, today just prompted me to speak! It is the whole restroom thing, they have always had one, I love to go to CVS and browse when picking up RX, If I have to leave to use the restroom, I am not going to spend money! Today I asked the MOD (new) to please open the restroom for me, she said ok, walked me over and on the way stated very matter of factly, "we do not actually have a public restroom but I will let you use it, THIS TIME!" Also "since covid we do not have janitors so we don't let the public use the restroom." Now now now, again, I am disabled, to have to get in my car to go elsewhere and use the restroom, is very inconvenient, people will spend more if you accomodate their needs! It is always something here, usually pharmacy is rude and slow but today they were efficient. Front of house, often a hot mess! This manager has not been there very long but LADY, you are in the service industry! If you can't be chraming, polite and smile, get a warehouse job! I have scarcely used the pharmacy, and know that most products are overpriced so that they can offer their scroll o' coupons. This 5 star review is for one thing alone. They carry Extreme Sour Patch Kids. Nowhere else does, except the candy store in Great America, but they have theme park prices. Every store used to sell out of Extreme Sour Patch Kids then have surplus of every other Sour Patch product. Then for no apparent reason about 3 years ago they disappeared. They are not extinct, but they are endangered. So I am writing this review and doing my part to avoid Extrene Sour Extinction. . . Or SourPatchPocalypse Now! The older female workers at the register are always very kind. I only go to this location for quick last minute things. However, there's an Asian man with glasses who might be a manager or something. He is extremely condescending and arrogant every time. Last time I was about to pay and I politely asked if he needed to scan my rewards card. He says "You already told me your phone number didn't you???" and gives me a blank stare. It was a "you had to be there moment" to really understand his bad attitude. Today I was definitely disappointed to see that some idiots broke into the allergy cabinet- seriously?! Come On! They ended up having to take all their stock to leave in the back instead of on display. My Dr ended up calling this place telling them I'm not refilling early, it's a 28 day supply and they need to fill it (DUHHH). They told him they would fill it TONIGHT (he called me after to let me know). So, they lied with the confirmation text they sent me earlier (I just tried to click the link in the text and it magically disappeared off their page because they removed it). She probably removed it before she called me, because somebody DID remove it. Clearly, they don't realize when people on my medication stop taking it, they end up in the emergency room and can get seizures and die. Bottom line, this pharmacy is absolutely clueless. They have no business dispensing medications to people. They can't get their stories straight, give the runaround, 3 different people tell you something different, and they refuse to fill LEGITIMATE prescriptions. Not to mention, they are rude to customers when they're confronted with not doing their job and their mistakes. They have 0 customer service skills. If they don't like working with people, they're in the wrong industry. They offered no apology, either. She was very, VERY rude. I asked her name, she said Lynn, she said "I'm the pharmacist, I'm trying to tell you". I said I don't care who you are, I just wanted to know you're name. I said I've had nothing but issues with you guys since my doctor sent this thing over to you. The lying and the cluelessness, sending me text confirmations only to be told you didn't do that. She was talking over me the entire time I was speaking about their incompetence. I wasn't rude, but, I'm SICK and TIRED of these peoples' incompetence and not giving a crap about their customers. Unvelievable. These guys and Walgreens across the street from them are the worst pharmacies I've ever been to, and I've had to use pharmacies every month for the last 12 years. Earlier review I think I'm going to file a complaint with the Pharmacy Board of CA on the Indian female pharmacist. I will NEVER come to this pharmacy again. I've had my prescription written the exact same way for over TEN YEARS, 28 day supply, take 1-2 tablets as needed. NEVER had any issues at ANY OTHER pharmacy. Again, It's a 28 day supply. I take 1- 1 1/2 tablets a day. This Indian pharmacist is refusing to fill it unless the doctor calls them; she just took it upon herself to assume I don't take my meds every day. "As needed" does NOT mean someone doesn't take their meds daily. This is the most ignorant thing I've ever had a pharmacist say to me. "You don't take it every day". EXCUSE ME?? How the heck would you deduce that and just assume?? Any pharmacist would know this about anyone taking this medication. People that take this take it EVERY DAY. if they are on it steadily and they stop, they end up in the hospital and can have seizures and die. it's not a game. She was rude, as well. Now, I have to wait for my bombarded Drs. office to call them tomorrow. Complete joke. Also, I spoke to someone on the phone when I called earlier to check on everything because they never contacted me, and they NEVER mentioned ANY OF THIS. She doesn't want to fill it, that's the issue. Every other pharmacy I've ever been to has NEVER given me issues with this medication and the same exact indications over the last 10+ years. This is AFTER they didn't call me yesterday to tell me they didn't have it and they also didn't order it because they said it said there was "prior authorization required" from my insurance, which NEVER covers this prescription. My script would be sitting and sitting until I called about it. Not ONE phone call to communicate, except this one to give me a hard time and to refuse filling a perfectly accurately written prescription that should be filled today. People should be ashamed of themselves. It's very scary, the types of people that are allowed to work with medications and customers. I don't understand why the pharmacies in this area can't just do their jobs. That's why they are all 1-2 stars. read more

Went there to look for Kim chi makeup which they didn't have in stock... but whole time I was there a guy who seemed to be a manager kept watching me and following me around the store making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Tbh I don't know why he's hovering over customers while they shop when he looks like he's on one himself. Finally got to pay and he kept coming around to the register I was being helped at and even came up and used the overcom at the same register I was at saying "check cameras in the cosmetics department" totally unnecessary to come to that register and have done that when multiple registers where open. Absolutely horrific experience at the pharmacy. Got a text on the 13th my prescription was ready for pick up. Thankfully I called first and was told it wouldn't be ready until the 15th. Which is fine although this has happened almost every time I've requested a prescription. Politely asked that on the 15th it would be ready for pick up in the a.m. which they agreed and would add a note to my file. Sure enough show up on the 15th at 5pm and of course not ready and no notes. They "floating" pharmacist Jason J ( refused to give his last name ) had absolutely no desire to help me from the get go. Embarrassingly called out what prescription if be picking up with a number of other cus tiers inline, no privacy what's so ever and then proceeded to say there's not enough time to fill it. After an embarrassing back and forth he said he'd try and fill it before close which was 45 min. Then shouted out with customers listening what's the reason I'm using the medication, what diagnosis have I had to be given this medication and they the code he shows does match the use for this drug. Sadly I had to explain my symptoms again embarrassing and he then refused to fill my prescription. Not only is this completely unprofessional but there was no sense of privacy. His smirk condescending unprofessional behavior was completely uncalled for. I will be filing other complaints as this pharmacy is ran with absolutely no respect or privacy for their customers. What an embarrassment. So glad my daughters weren't there to witness this unacceptable behavior. read more

Do not buy a gift card from here. There's clearly an employee committing gift card fraud here. We purchased an Amazon gift card and it was redeemed before the person we gave it to could. Amazon sees who the person is that redeemed it so hopefully they will take action against them. We also went in to speak with the manager, and the manager dismissed us right away before even hearing us out. This location is extremely ghetto and unprofessional. It's safer to purchase digital gift cards directly from the company than purchasing it at CVS. read more

Went to CVS pharmacy corner of Snell and blossom hill Arab guy with glasses at the register standing in line for him to call me over to pay for my stuff I said, are you open any points to the light so I walk over and I said the sign says wait here so I was waiting for you to call me over then he says no one's in line proceeds to ring up my stuff with an attitude. Then just stand there. I said the register slow. Oh, I'm done with what I need to do on the register then I said to be nice and let me know so I can make a payment by the way ring up my rewards card please can I ask her you have a good day for a bad day, he looks at me and says I'm having a good day. The CVS pharmacy is my main concern. The pharmacists behind the counter doesn't conduct business in a orderly fashion and is unprofessional when it comes to answering the phones. This was my selected pharmacy for a year and had plenty of issues with the staff and them making refills without my consent and i once got six inhalers in one month, which they never brought up the issue up to me until I received them all after picking up other prescriptions. I don't recommend this pharmacy because they will be rude, not straight forward, put you on hold several times and not listen to some requests. The customer service at this pharmacy is below average and very inconvenient. I doubt anything will be done about this and I don't care because I'm never coming back to this pharmacy again and changing where i get my prescriptions. read more

I avoid this store as much as possible. Every blue moon I end up having to come into this store for something. Every time I set foot in this store it's the same problem, long lines with one cashier. The cashiers are nice, don't get me wrong BUT they are slow and talk too much. Today I had to stop in to grab a few items since I live close by. There were six of us in line. Cashier 1 was taking forever with a coupon code and cashier two was chatting it up with an elderly male, most likely a regular customer. Front end manager was wondering around and eventually opened up the 3rd lane. This store needs to train their employees to be mindful of transaction conversations especially with a line of people. There is ZERO sense of urgency in this store. So, if you're ever in a hurry, DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. SMH read more

All CVS very bad place to work they are very abusive towards employees my fiancé works there for over 2 years and the last 14 months she worked 40 hours a week every week by law they have to change her status to full time and she requested a few times, she left for maternity and baby bonding for six months and CVS refused to pay her and change her status to full time her GM was very nice about it and try to help her but HR and the higher level managers they refused to pay her what it belongs to her. They treat employees like a Slaves specially if they are from different countries, they make billions of dollars from employees hard work and they are not willing at least pay them what it's their rights. And also she never got any raises she was getting minimum wage for over 2 years. I think everybody should boycott CVS until they start treating their employees right. Unfortunately the abusive behavior from big corporations and billionaires toward their employees getting worse and worse and they are getting richer and richer only because people don't say anything and accept their abusive behavior. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The pharmacy employees are absolutely terrible with their attitudes and the way they treat their clients, with the attitude of we all owe them. I went in picking up my prescription that's brand new medication. The girl that rung me up, didn't ask if I wanted a pharmacist to go over this prescription. Granted when I got home, I had to go back to the pharmacy due to all my medication not being in the bag. Once I got back, they went on lunch with different hours that's given online. While opening up again, I asked to speak to the pharmacist and told the girl that was helping me, everything wasn't in the bag. The pharmacist came up and asked me what I did needed, I let him know this is my first time taking this medication, gives a lot of side effect, how should I take this? He then pulled the paper out and pointed at the sentence with directions. At this point I was mad with the professionalism that this boy was lacking, I asked him how do I use this, you're the one with the lab coat and the pharmacist title, please guide me. He then read the paper outloud and gave it back, walked away without saying anything. The girl with the long black hair, black glasses and in navy blue scrubs that was helping me, she let me know that my doctor didn't proscribe the syringes as she sent my dr an email. I nicely asked her typically how long does it take for that to go through? She looked at me like the lights are on, but no one's home. With the look, I got the answer, "it's Saturday!" Great, and tomorrows Sunday. I'm glad she knew the day of the week. The really, really extremely nice woman that was working next to her said why don't you give her a sample? So the nice woman looked for me but they had none, so I asked the same girl, what's my next option? Her answer was, the ER.... I've been coming to this location for years, I'm not going back for the lack of empathy and talking down to their clients. There's a reason why I'm asking these question is because this is the field you're in. If you can't handle customer service, should probably look into an attitude adjustment before thinking of what you want to do in life, instead of being miserable. read more

I love this CVS. They DO provide excellent customer service and I've always been treated nicely by all of the staff. There is a cashier, I don't remember her name, but she's great at checking expiration dates on everything and makes sure that I'm not buying anything expired. Management is also professional with me and has gone out of their way to help me find a product. I go into this CVS several times a month to pick up my prescriptions too. I have lived across the street the past 5 years. Other than being an understaffed store and long waits at the cash registers.... I was shocked to have this experience. When I was checking out at CVS the cashier had to double check the expiration date on my Yogi tea. I come home noticing one of the two jerky bags like this... "Buy one get one free." Rat nibbles on the side and a hole in the bag. Posted this experience on Facebook and looked on their Facebook page to notice an hour prior someone posted a complaint about expired medication still on their shelves. read more

This is a review of the pharmacy only. My husband came here to pick up multiple prescriptions. Some that were supposed to be ready at 11am that day so when we arrived at 9 pm that evening, we were really surprised that they were not filled yet. We dropped off yet another prescription and asked what the wait time was. We were told 20 minutes. We waited........ and waited....... and waited..... and it was something like 40 minutes to an hour later when we finally got tired of waiting and asked if it was done. It was only partially done but the lady behind the counter rushed the rest of our order, so we finally got out of there. This pharmacy is not for the person who needs their medication right away. You run a huge risk of having a discrepancy between when they tell you that your order will be ready and when it will actually be done. I've had the best luck at the pharmacy in the octagon shaped building outside of Good Samaritan Hospital but they have limited hours. And if you need more flexibility, Walgreens usually only takes an hour and they don't misrepresent wait time the way that CVS does. read more

The customer service at this location is hands down the worst I have ever experienced at a CVS. I waited in a long line to pay for my items because there was only one register open. When I got to the front of the line the cashier closed up and said I'm going on my break now! And she walked away just like that. No someone will be right with you or anything. So I had to flag another employee down and beg them to ring me up as well as the rest of the customers who were behind me.
