I came in this morning to exchange a shampoo my wife bought for me. At first, there were no cashiers available. One finally came and I told her I wanted to exchange the shampoo my wife bought me. She curtly asked me for a receipt. I didn't have one so she again told me curtly that I would have to show my driver's license for a store gift card. I told her I just wanted to exchange the shampoo and she told me again she had to give me a store credit. I went to the shampoo area and the only remaining medicated shampoo on the shelf happened to be the type I needed. I brought the purchase up to the same person that 'helped' me and made the purchase. She took the store credit card and said good bye. While walking out I noticed there was $1.06 that I should have been credited. I went back in and she said, "Oh it was just a few cents difference". When I told her it was over $1 she fished around a vinyl envelope and gave me the store card and walked away. She was trying to STEAL for CVS or maybe pocket the credit for herself. If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. Every single month my son who is type 1 diabetic goes to pick up his insulin and test strips gets told he owes this huge amount of money. He doesn't have to pay anything. I seriously have had it with them. I have to have CCS call them every month to tell them how to do their jobs. Even They are tired of telling them how to do their jobs. I've just transferred all his prescriptions to another pharmacy. I can't take the stress anymore and wondering if my son is going to get his life saving medicine on time. No one can afford these by themselves. What happened to contacting the insurance to find out what's going on if you did your research and see, oh they've paid all the other months what's going on now? No, not proactive at all. Instead we find out oh prescription is ready we think yes everything is good to go. Nope!! You owe us your kidney. Done with you!!!! read more

I always go to Walgreen but after going to urgent care this place was my only option. It is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Completely understaffed. You wait in line forever before they even acknowledge you. They told me 30 min and I was literally waiting in line, at the front of the line, for an hr after that... The Pharmacists discriminate against people who have hidden disabilities. How dare they judge someone for a medication they are having filled without knowing the person's medical history. CVS sucks! I miss Longs. At CVS your prescription is NEVER READY. It doesn't matter if the hospital phones it in, or you phone in a renewal. It is never ready! On a renewal I phoned it, I was told it wasn't ready to come back later. I went back the next day, they told me the same thing, the third time they insisted I had already picked it up. I went back the 4th day, they were clueless on everything, but it was finally ready. I have tried several times to find my favorite major brands of multiple products. They are not there. Only a CVS brand. Without the major brands available I tried a few of the CVS brands, and found them inferior. I give up! There are CVS locations everywhere, thanks to Longs, but it's going there is not worth the frustration. read more

I had the same horrible Minute Clinic experience as another Yelp reviewer here. They did not submit one of their charges to my insurance company. I sent them multiple letters with copies of my Explanation of Benefits showing that the charge was never submitted. They never responded to me. They just sent the bill to their collection agency. I will avoid Minute Clinics for the rest of my life, and will advise others to do the same. The saddest part of this is that the nurse was extremely helpful and friendly. She needs to find an ethical employer. read more

This pharmacy is really the worst. Always a long wait. The staff show no sense of urgency. I've checked into the minute clinic and waited 30+ to be seen only to have them tell me they can start my appointment because it's too close to their shift end. Failed to fill scripts regularly. Insurance mix ups more than once. Just so so so so bad. I really don't think you could run a pharmacy worse if you tried. I gave up and now drive 10 minutes out of my way to go to the Walgreens at Alcosta. read more

Don't expect too much when you come to this CVS. The only good thing they have going is that it is a 24 hours pharmacy. I went to the pick up counter approximately 3 hours after my physician had called in my order. They had not even entered my Rx into the computers yet. I will give them the excuse that they were pretty busy, but 3 hours seems like plenty of time to input something into the computer. I returned later that evening, and I picked up my Rx, they did not even attempt to bill insurance for my medications, and the cashier at the pharmacy claimed that insurance would not pay for the item as it is January. When I called my insurance, I submitted receipts, and only was supposed to pay a $10 deductible - now I have to wait for insurance to mail me a check for the balance for my medications. I also asked the pharmacy cashier for a 15 pack of Claratin-D, and I was not paying attention to her ringing it up, and realized at home that she only sold me the 5 pack. I had to go to another CVS to exchange it for the 15 pack the following day. read more

My doctor calls in prescriptions and they are never ready within 24 hrs. I always have to wait 10-15 minutes while it's filled.

Always a problem or major wait with the Pharmacy. Tried both ways......in store or was put on hold for an hour...... Avoid if you can.

As an employee for cvs pharmacy, I was very pleased with the service this cvs pharmacy provided me. My prescription was called in by my dentist on a Sunday night and 20 mins later, I received a text that my prescription was ready. Right when I parked to go pick it up, I got that text! That being said, thank you so much for expediting my prescription. I wish I could say the same for all the cvs pharmacies but unfortunately, not every branch is consistent! good job! and thank you to Alan who rang me up and the pharmacist that worked that night. keep it up guys! read more

Waited an hour at the pharmacy to be told my medication doesn't fill the same day. Made me feel like I was back at the VA.

Don't even try to call the pharmacist . Tried to call the pharmacy department and hardly anyone will pick up your phone. Called them couple time on a weekdays, put on elevator music for at least 30 min and then disconnected. So frustrating and have to use other CVS locations to fill prescriptions. read more

Let me just start by saying I have no positive experiences while filling prescriptions here. First, this CVS is by far the worst I have dealt with as far as answering the phone. I am not exaggerating when I say I have had 20 minute hold times only to be disconnected! Even my health providers experienced issues using the Dr's line. Now, the parts I despise about this pharmacy. My first really bad experience started before 8:00 AM Friday morning. I physically stopped in on the way to work to get a medication they had filled countless times before under insurance (with refills on my file) filled. I had made a mistake (**My fault I know**) and ran out before I needed to travel that night after 8:00 PM. Never did I expect to get the answer that I got before he even asked what medication I needed. "We are too busy and can't fill it until Sunday." This was not in a calm nor sincere tone as he began to immediately turn away. After that, I calmly told him that I had not been paying attention to my supply and I had researched the night before looking for other Pharmacies along the route of my trip and found none that would be open. I was told that if I didn't like his answer, to go to another pharmacy. I managed to tell him what medication it was and how if you stop taking it for three days you have to start again at the lowest dosage. He still did not want to help. This was maybe half a year ago before I moved all my medications to a CVS closer to my home rather then my work place. So, the need to again attempt to take advantage of a 24 hour pharmacy arose when my Dr. wrote my prescription up for the first of the month on my ADD medication rather then the last day of the month. She dated the prescriptions so she could give me three hard copies on my last visit for three months because in California, you need a paper copy for ADD meds and they can't be called in. We didn't consider that with the date on the first, it provides a day at work and driving without ADD meds if you cant pick up your medication before you go to work or if the 1st falls on a weekend. Much to my surprise when I went to fill my prescription at the CVS I normally go to next to my house (Great staff there) their hands were tied since she had put a future date on these three unlike in the past due to Federal law when providing multiple refills for the same ADD medication. So if I filled my prescription in advance of the work week, there had been no issues prior to this since I was getting a fresh prescription each month with no date. This is where the 24 hours CVS in San Ramon comes into play. I spoke with my normal Pharmacist and she suggested I fill it the morning before work the next day at a pharmacy that opened earlier which seemed like a great plan, issue resolved. So I took the paper script to the San Ramon CVS. When I got there, they told me they didn't have the full 30 day supply of that medication and they'd have it by Wednesday. I asked for a partial and they said they do not do partials on this medication because it is a controlled substance. I was treated like a drug seeker as soon as she looked at the prescription. I had to step away from the counter and call my normal CVS. They let me know that the federal law states that partials are allowed for that medication as long as the remaining is picked up in the next 48 hours. No problem! This place is next to my work. I brought it up with the San Ramon CVS Pharmacist and I was then told that this was -their- policy and that I could go to another CVS if I wanted yet again. This CVS employs non caring Pharmacists that seem to be paranoid that everyone taking ADD medications must be abusers and drug seekers. Be prepared to be treated rudely for filling any prescription here, and worse, like an addict if you are picking up anything controlled! CVS nor the federal government have any policies in place preventing partial refills, and due to a prejudice Pharmacist, I had to deal with a day without medication at work and the 66 mile round trip commute. (If you have ADD, you know how safe driving is and how much work you get done without your meds) My Dr made a mistake that would have been resolved if this Pharmacy not only followed CVS guidelines, but Federal Law. Oh, how about understanding and looking at a situation and evaluating it rather then assuming this person that never gets their scripts filled there anymore is a drug abuser? This is by far the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I mean really, do people just come in and deal with the bad customer service and Pharmacists that make it clear they don't care ? read more

This IS my neighborhood CVS. After visiting the massive CVS in Oakland and being thoroughly disappointed, I came here. I was able to find everything I was looking for! One small prob. Although they do carry the brand of deodorant I use, they did not have the particular scent...unscented. You would think they would at least have unscented, but no. It's a neighborhood CVS so I'm sure they pick based on neighborhood buying patterns. But no unscented? C'mon now! No worries, I have other sources. **drums fingers slyly** read more

Horrible pharmacy service! Dropped off my prescription on a Monday. I was told that it will be ready by Wednesday. Wednesday, I got message left on my answering machine that they are ordering my prescription. Ok. Thursday, I called and I spoke to someone in the pharmacy that my prescription is ready and that I can pick it up anytime. I came that day at 9:30pm and I was told that my prescription is not there and they need to order it. I asked why it's not there. No one can answer my question. Was it not ordered on Monday or Wednesday? Is there any where in their records that can provide an explanation? No answer. A rude woman assisting the nice gentleman I was talking to butt in and told me, 'It's not here. We have to order it." She has no people skills whatsoever. And no customer service skills specially to someone who is already obviously very pissed off. I asked that I speak to a manager. I was told there is no pharmacy manager that night. On my way out, I asked a cashier to speak to a supervisor. She paged 3 times and the supervisor finally came out from where he was hiding from. He looks like a guy fresh out of college who is clueless. Again, no customer service skills! He had this moronic smirk on his face the entire time I was trying to explain to him my problem with the pharmacy. I gave up. This place is a complete joke. Avoid this place at all cost. read more

Zero stars for pharmacy! Took over 4 hours to fill a prescription! I went to pick it up but they couldn't dispense it because the pharmacist was on lunch for the next half hour. Why send me a text saying it's ready, if I really can't even pick it up yet?! This cvs messed up the whole flow of my day and I will NEVER come back! We went to the Minute Clinic in August for a last minute school athletics physical. I was impressed with both the ability to make an appointment at the last minute for the same day, and also with the quality of care that was given. This pharmacy used to be good several years ago maybe 8-9 years - now not so much. OK they have a great app that helps you refill Rx's via phone, they text you when ready to pick-up - so far so good right? No not right you show up Rx is not ready you need to wait or worse they have to call your Dr. that they should have done before sending out text all is OK to pick up. The Rx's not being ready is a major waste of your time that they don't seem to care about. My last draw with this place was today I came in for Rx was told the Pharmacist would need to give me a consult to go over the Rx - no problem great idea as this was new RX. The Pharmacist told me watch out for the side effect and watch out for this, call us if this happens - guess what see never even read the warning on the packaging and I knew from talking with my Dr. what to expect - she gave me the wrong consult never even read the instructions and I am supposed to put my trust in her experience! Complete losers, don't waste your time, and don't take the chance that they will give you a bad consult. Many other options in Dublin or San Ramon to get Rx's filled that have competent staff. read more

This place is awful!! Every time I go there I spent so much time waiting in line. The pharmacists, for the most part, don't aknowledge you're even in line. I've been on hold for the last 23 minutes waiting for someone to pick up, just to tell them to stop the calls reminding me to refill a prescription I haven't had in over a year. I so wish I could give negative stars!! I have not patronized CVS in several months because the service has always been so poor. However, I tried again yesterday because their website said the MinuteClinic was able to administer the Shingrix vaccine recommended by my doctor. I went in, signed up on the annoyingly old-fashioned computer, and was told my wait would be 25 minutes. I had to use the restroom, so asked one of the women in the pharmacy where it was and she said I'd have to go ask at the front cash registers. (She didn't know??!!) I went to the front and asked a male cashier where the restroom was, and he said he didn't think it was working. I asked him where the employees went then. He replied in a surly manner that I could go try it and pointed to a corner of the store. I started towards where he pointed and he yelled after me "It's not for your convenience, you know!". Geeze!! This is specifically regarding the pharmacy: Horrible! The lines are long, prescriptions are never ready when promised or they can't find it when it is ready, they're understaffed and the ones who work there move like Keystone Cops. Even when there is no line, I have to wait at the counter for a minute before anyone even acknowledges...seems like the staff don't want to look up from what they're doing to help people at the counter. Counter staff also wastes too much time on chit-chat which may be fine if there is no wait but not when the line is 10 people deep. Also, can we have non-prescription items rung up at the regular registers instead of taking the pharmacy staffs' time with this? read more

No stars! This is the most incomplete pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Twice I was told they don't have my medicine. Come back tomorrow, or wait 30-45 mins for a truck delivery. Seriously??? Or how about this one, I called in a refill. Phone service says this rx is scheduled for auto refill. Great!! So the next day I walk in to pick up my medicine and the clerk checks the computer and says, we have no record of your rx!! Really?? I just called it in yesterday. Horrible experience ever. I'm working on the medical field and i understand that sometimes I have to wait just like the patients but, waiting 1 hr and 30 min, ??? On the phone ON HOLD!!! Yep, I decided to Hung up. Then I called again and I'm asked to hold again, another half hour. I came in person to see if I could get at least an answer. My question was about a drug that they told me they didn't have at the moment, they told me to call in a week to see if they got it. I called and was put on hold forever then I came in person and waited another hour just to be told that they don't have it, and they lost the prescription. OH MY GOD. It's frustrating. I just visited the CVS in San Ramon off of Crow Canyon Road for the last time. Since we moved here almost 4 years ago this has been our CVS of choice and we keep going back because it is close to other businesses we frequent nearby. We also appreciate and use the great coupons. Last week I shopped at this CVS store because I wanted to use my 30% coupon before we left on vacation. I purchased quite a few products taking advantage of the coupon. When I was checking out I was assured the coupon was applied so I expected that it was. When I got home I carefully reviewed my receipt and could see that it was not applied. I called and spoke with the assistant manager who was very apologetic and said I could come back at my convenience and he would make sure the coupon was applied and indicated he would be generous with my refund to compensate for my having to return to the store. When I returned, I waited for a considerable amount of time to receive my refund. Without going into too specific details, I was appalled with everything to do with how my refund was determined and the appearance and "condition" of the employee providing the refund. I may visit another CVS in the future but it will not be this particular store. read more

I would give this pharmacy 0 stars if I could. 2 weeks ago I had to take my son to the ER. Doctor sent the RX to pharmacy but they couldn't find it. I called the ER and they said this pharmacy is always having problems. Just waited in line 30 min to pick up a different RX after receiving a text message yesterday saying it was done. Guess what? They have no record of ever filling it. So now I will have to wait longer for one simple RX. I miss Kaiser!!!!!!!!! read more
