But the parking is hell because the other restaurants across the way for Luckys, Los Arroyos and Sushi by scratch has their patrons use this parking lot and even the handicap stripe zone for handicapped individuals to go in and out of the vehicle blocked during Crazy dinner rush hour. Horrible. My prescription was transferred there. My insurance provides a three-month supply for one co-payment. For this medication, it should have been three packages, each containing nine pills. I received text notification that the prescription was ready. I called CVS to verify that it was filled correctly. They have a voicemail system which promises the pharmacy staff will return your call in an hour. I left a message, and nobody called me. When I went to pick up the prescription, the bag obviously contained only one package. I told the clerk that was wrong, and I should receive three packages. She did not say anything, she just checked the computer. I assume she verified I was correct. She said they didn't have three packages. I told her I had called earlier and left a message to verify that the order was filled correctly, and nobody returned my call. I told her to cancel the order and I would use the mail order service. She let me know that she cancelled it, but she did not bother to apologize. The store is also dingy and poorly stocked. read more

Small CVS with the necessities and liquor. There were many shelves that were barren or items that were misplaced. Just got home and realized that my hairbrush and comb set was USED! DISGUSTING! The package was slightly open, which I just thought was from it hanging on the peg. When I got back to my hotel, I noticed spots on the brush. I took the comb out and noticed flakes on it as well. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I can't imagine what other products they put back on the shelf that others return. read more

This is honestly by far the worse CVS in all of California. Constant long lines at the pharmacy, most times having to wait 20-30 minutes, with never enough staff - and when there is staff they are EXTREMELY rude, with ZERO management or oversight these rude employees get away with speaking to customers like trash. I am local and have been a good customer of this CVS for over 15 years spending nearly $400 every time I go, but after todays' experience I will no longer be going there and will be telling our local community group to go to any pharmacy than this CVS. On 10/20/22 @ 3:20pm one of their rude staff members by the Name of Daniella (the name she gave - wearing glasses and blue gloves). After waiting in a long line I decided to just use the self checkout (which never works but I decided to use it) sure enough after checking all 40 items there was a problem, Daniella took her time to help me, and upon asking me to input some info into the machine it locked us out and she said that she would help me at the register, which I had no problem with - but she decided to help the next customer behind me "because she only had two items" and have me wait in line all over again. I really believe this was a race thing, she just didn't like me for some reason. So I just decided to leave as I didn't want to wait in line again but I went back in to tell her (in a respectful way) how rude it was to help someone in front of me ever though she saw I was there long before the woman behind me and the machine was at fault for my checkout problem - and instead of just apologizing to me for her mistake and trying to help me with the items, she was extremely rude to me in a verbally aggressive manner, tying to deflect me (which is a sign of guilt) and just walked away from me instead of trying to rectify the situation, or even just apologizing to me. So instead another worker came up and apologized to me for Daniella's behavior and mistake (which Daniella herself should of done) but offered no reasonable help with my 40 items so I just had to leave them, as well as told me she didn't really work there (wearing a CVS badge?). This behavior is absolutely unacceptable, it's likely not the first time she has acted this way, and certainly will not be the last time she will treat others this way. We will no longer be going to CVS after this nasty experience. read more

Every time I come here the pharmacy staff seem unmotivated and don't care how long we have to stay in line. They take so long on every customer even when it's a simple trasnsaction. The last FOUR times I came here I said I wanted them to have my birth control on auto fill and please send the request to my doctor. CVS Pharmacy on Coast Village road in Montecito has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. in addition to always having exceptionally long wait lines, The pharmacists willingly do not help customers. My husband received his Covid Booster in August 2021. This CVS never uploaded his vaccination records to the CDC. His digital vaccine card is incorrect due to their error. All 3 of of the pharmacists at this store refused to re-send the information or to help in anyway, despite the CDC and California dept. of Health telling me the the store needs to originate the data. I would not recommend anybody getting any important vaccinations at this particular CVS. The pharmacist at CVS in Carpenteria was very helpful to me, but said I need to go back to that store. What a nightmare. Worst CVS in the state. read more

I had a very complicated pharmacy experience and Steven handled it amazingly!!! I had to get my Kaiser prescription transferred to CVS because I went out of town without my medicine. Kaiser is very particular in how they do things and Steven was very patient and ensured I got my prescription, even though he could have easily sent me away. Also, I had to pay cash price which was very fair and reasonable! read more

Their star rating is horrible and for good reason. I've been going here since it was called Long's Drugstore. They had to change the name because everyone thought it was named Long's because of the length of the lines. Now the lines are much shorter because people are tired of getting berated by the pharmacist...and being told that VERY common prescriptions are out of stock. I don't mean that this happened once, it was constantly. So between a grouchy pharmacist and lack of medications, I switched probably a year ago. I like my new pharmacy. The people are nice, lines are very short, and my new pharmacist is kind. Perhaps things have improved here but it's not worth the effort to transfer the Rx back over. I've switched from my regular pharmacy in Carpinteria. This place used to be a fucking disaster, but they've really gotten their program together. As long as you have an honest and regular relationship with your doctor regarding your prescriptions, they seem to deliver the best costumer service. I liked the rite aid in carp, but one medication cost $25 more there, even with insurance! CVS has the best prices, and I feel more confident in the generic formulas of the name-brand drugs I need to live my best life. read more

I agree with all the negative reviews. Still sometimes there is a line because is a great location. Very poor selection of everything. The cards are all messed up, products are missing(you sell the sonic care toothbrush but not the replacement heads?) and really nothing updated in this store. The people working behind the counters in the pharmacy could not be nicer. They worked quickly to get my wife and me our flu shots, and made helpful suggestions for other vaccinations that were available. We seamlessly purchased covered and non-covered medications, as well as non-medical pharmacy items, in one easy transaction. Parking is never a problem here (which is a big plus for the normally crowded area). We are part time residents here in Montecito and wish the CVS pharmacies where we live most of the time were like this one. read more

The slowest pharmacy I have ever been to. Though you could luck out and arrive with no one in line, don't count on it. The usual waiting time is 10-15 minutes for a simple pharmacy pick-up. Frequently 1 cashier at the pharmacy counter who seemingly has conversations with every customer. Usually no one comes to help with 5-7 customers in line, some of whom grumble about the wait. They do not hear the grumbles (while conversing with customers), nor do they read or care about the many negative posts and low ratings. They have multiple times called the wrong physician regarding a refill - even after I stopped in to confirm who they should call. Having given them 2+ years to improve, it is time to try Rite Aid or perhaps the small pharmacy in the Upper Village. read more

The stupid Receipt coupons are duplicitous. I got one coupon for $6 off spending $30 and another for $5 off buying $25 of Neutrogena (sp?) facial products. I bought four packages of facial cleansing towelettes at $7.99 each and was denied the discount by Neutogena saying that "facial cleansing towelettes" is not facial care. I take exception with that definition and so would the courts. If they are labeled facial cleansing...it's a facial product. I chose not to make the $32 plus purchase as I counted on an $11 discount with the two coupons. The denial of the discount when I qualified by the fine print is called "bait and switch." I will post this on social media as the industry is already annoyed at CVS for their toilet-paper roll of obviously useless coupons. What say you? read more

If you like being treated with disrespect and made to wait in dreadfully slow lines, and having them consistently screw up your prescriptions and made to feel like a nuisance to them, then by all means I recommend this pharmacy. If you want to go to a pharmacy that never seems to have your prescription in stock, for even basic common medications, then it's the pharmacy for you. Awful experience every time I go to get a prescription filled. Very condescending pharmacists that have lost all sense of customer service, kindness, and seriously disorganized. It's just horrible that going to CVS for a prescription often leaves me feeling anxious and unhappy. They need to learn how to treat their customers and I don't think that's going to happen. Came in an hour after my prescription was supposed to be filled and Jackie in the pharmacy was far less then helpful or friendly and had to wait an extra 15 minutes. If I can give this place NO stars I would, other than the nice location and decent outside that's about all I can say. When I went inside I got my items and went the cashier. I asked the cashier Shawn about a few items to which he seemed very confused and didn't seem to know his inventory. He then asked if we wanted to pay 10 cents for a paper bag for our 4 items. I understand these days that you need to pay for a bags being "green" and all, which I am totally all for. However when he stood there looking at me with my items still on the counter and receipt in hand.. , I asked him if I had to bag myself? He then gave me a "napoleon dynamite" sigh and started to stuff my items into the bag? I was so confused. When do you PAY for a bag and then have to bag your own items at any connivence store? Wow. Used the online photo same day pick up service and let me tell you, there was no service. No photos two hours after pick up time. Late evening I get a call photos are ready for pickup. I start getting calls and voicemails from CVS personnel and an automated system that my photos are ready. I go in two days later and guess what? No photos! The lady that assisted me misspelled my last name and flat out said there was nothing there for me. We go through the spelling of my last name and there's an order but no photos. No customer service at all. I told them to cancel the print since I waited two days and received calls for nothing but frustration and a waste of gas and my time. read more

I give 0 stars to this one.This store has terrible customer service, is woefully understaffed and obviously couldn't care less about the customer. Two staff, one being the manager, beat a retreat to the back room after having been asked by me to open a locked case for the item I wanted to buy.......that was the last of them along with the keys to the cabinet. I asked twice for help from the pharmacy staff who called for customer service, twice, no one ever responded. The one and only available staff on the sales floor was at the checkout with a non-stop line of 4 to 5 customers and he was exceedingly slow. When I asked him about having the cabinet opened for the merchandise I wanted, I was told the manager had gone to lunch and had the only keys. After a fruitless, wasted 15+ minutes, I left angry and empty handed. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone I know about the exceptionally poor service and staff. read more
