Decent 7-11 gas and convenience store. I stopped here for some snacks and was happy with their selection of chips, cookies, packaged pastries, and drinks. The store also has a small selection of automotive items, personal care items and similar. Staff was friendly. Parking was convenient, as was the freeway entrance/exit. Told us that we couldn't use the restroom because of a new law that the city has of prohibiting the use of the restrooms. Went to a different gas station to fill up. Missed out on a 100$ or more fill up. I definitely will not stop here at all anymore. Hopefully the owners see this review and get better employees. read more

Twice now they tried to scam me out of money I paid for gas !! I put 25.oo and she put 10.00 only. Second time I put $20 and it pumped only a $1.87 and she says oh well !! Ended up giving my money back after I complained a second time! Pay attention to what you're pumping ! read more

This is a pretty nice 7-eleven! The central island checkout is unique, and gives the customer plenty of real estate to find treats, goodies and "essentials." Modelo Cheladas-- I bought the last three for our beach trip today, and a special on Simply Lemonade-- 2 for $3, made the kiddos happy. We gassed up the Tahoe at $3.77 a gallon... A bit more expensive than the cheapest Arco prices, but not the most expensive in town by any stretch of the imagination. By luck, the location is about half way between the 5 and the 101 freeways on the 126... It's well-patrolled byte CHP, and 55 mph most of the way, but it beats sitting in a sea of stop and go brake lights on the 101 from Pasadena to Santa Barbara. 24 hours, Big Bite hotdogs on the rollers, plenty of well lit parking and easy access from two different driveways make this a really great 7-Eleven. To top it off, the cashier returns a smile and courtesy without hesitation. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you've grown accustomed to urban and inner city 7-Eleven stores. read more

Over the phone, clerk took a note and said that manager Natalia would not be able to call me back for two more days. That I should come back to their service station on Monday. she is the only one working and is busy with customers. ...... I was so happy this store was reopening because it's super convenient for us to shop here and get gas. I went in at about 10 PM to buy a few things to snack on. Upon checking out, I was not given my change. I was handed the dollar bills but not the rest. I stood there for a minute waiting and asked the other clerk if the change comes out somewhere else? The other clerk proceeded to walk back to his register reopen it and than give me the rest of my money. They were speaking Spanish to each other but nothing was ever said to me. Clerks are very rude and they steal or keep money on purpose!!!! Will not be going back here until they can hire some ethical people. read more

I found this 7-Eleven via GasBuddy to try to find the least expensive gas around the area. When we pulled up, all of the pumping stations had a red out-of-order plastic bag on the pumps. So we had to go across the street to the more expensive gas station across the street at 76. So much for trying to find a station with inexpensive gas. read more

Pump three kept going and adding to my charge even then I stopped the pump, took it out of my car and it KEPT CHARGING. Some shady business practice or don't care enough to fix the problem (employee's reaction was a shrug and said "it's ok"). Won't be going back. read more

Yes they have gas and thats why we ended up here while we stayed at the Motel 6 nearby. The gas price is lesser than anyone in a 5 mile radius. I did walk into the store to pay cash and store seemed large and clean. I did not buy anything from inside though. read more

While spending the night between visits to California Historic Mission we needed to buy a twenty pack of water to see us through the trip. We stopped here and found the water as well as a friendly helpful attendant. We added some ice cream to out stop and recommend you do the same. read more

This 7-11 has everything you need in a mini mart. The gas is more than Chevron and Shell which i'm not quite sure why, it's 7-11 gas for crying out loud! Overall it's good for convenience. Went in at lunch time on 7/30/17 to get hot dogs/big bites. The girl working there has NO Customer Service skills what so ever. No customers in the store when my husband and I walked in, we went directly to the hot dog area and waited for her. She served 3 customers that walked in after us before I finally asked her if she could help us. What seemed to be grudgingly, she walked over to the hot dogs. I asked her about the big bites that were ready and she said she didn't know what some of them were, but only had 1 big bit that she knew of on the grill. 1. It was 5 mins till noon on a Friday, why was there only 1 big bite on the grill? 2. Why don't you know what product you are selling? 3. Keep the condiment area clean and stocked. No one wants limp old onion or would want to eat anything out of a dirty messy area. It was obvious she didn't give a shit about her job or the customers. Did not buy anything there, and will not go back. Poor customer service, careless attitude and does not know the products 7-11 is famous for. read more

I feel the owner needs to monitor his business during the non-peak hours. Early afternoon, on a Tuesday, I purchased gas and entered the store. There were seven of us in line including two minors. The clerk was eating while trying to check us out, but what was really upsetting was the radio station he was playing at high volume. It was a comedy channel, discussing sports and prominently using the Fxxx word. We stood there amazed as the clerk told the lady in front of me to wait while he took a bite of his food. Being a gas stop along 101, if any of these customers were tourists, I'm sure Carpinteria will be the butt of some jokes. read more

To the owners or the Managers of 7-Eleven in Carpinteria California. One thing I can say, gas pretty good price. I went to get a snack before heading South. Got a snicker bar right in front of the cashier, then went outside and my snicker bar packaging was sticky and dirty. I looked at the date of exp. and could not tell. Well, I went back inside to change it for another, and where the snicker bars are, extremely dirty, all of them were. And I found a half of cig bud in there as well. All the dirt was said the cashier lady. Coffee spill from long time ago and dust. Not so good. They need to hire someone to clean and dust that place soon. I know that it might not be enought time to clean, because people go in and out all the time but, no excuse!. Clean it!. I will be back and see if it is done. read more

I just went into the store on 1/14/16 at 12:45 am. I brought my order to the front and the gentleman or should I say man that helped me was extremely rude! Never greeted me and asked how I was.. He rumbled you want a receipt? I looked at him in disbelief but, also just questioning what he asked me. Rude as he was when I said I was sorry I did not understand him he said, "I have 6 kids one on the way and BTW vote for Donald Trump.. Worst experience of my life! Very uncomfortable! If I were the owner I would fire him on customer service alone! I called back the store and asked his name and he said, " I don't have to give it to you" and said, " I was rude" for what? telling him I did not understand? Don't get customer service these days! WORST customer service I have ever witnessed or experienced at any store, EVER. I stood in a line of 4 people waiting to pay, and while 2 clerks stood behind the counter, each talking on their cell phones while performing tasks such as tending to the pizza and organizing cigarettes. Neither of them even gave eye contact to the customers in line, or made any sign of acknowledgement of us. One of them even appeared to be a manager or owner. The other customers were more patient than me, as they remained waiting in line, staring at the two clerks after I gave up and left after about 2 minutes. I spend $9 a day at 711, but it won't be this one in Carpinteria! What a pathetic scene! I even looked around for video cameras, thinking we must be on a prank show for terrible customer service. read more

Worst customer service I have ever received from 7/11. Hands down. As soon as I walked in, I saw a guy with glasses loading the cinnamon rolls. Looks at me, looks away and doesn't say one word. I kept walking down one of the aisles to see if they had what I was looking for, aka wine. I saw that it was there so I turned around and started walking back outside to tell the person I was with that it was a go! Before I made it outside I had told the guy, "hey I just wanted to see if you had any wine." He goes, "yeah we have wine." So rude and almost as if I was stupid. I just drove 7 hours from NorCal. I don't know how it is down here. Then I said, "Ok, cool, I just didn't want you to think I was being weird or anything." And he says in a rude way, again, "I thought you were being rude more than anything." I was so confused... I looked at him and said, "No, not at all, I am sorry." And he said, "Yeah." Being late at night or early morning [2 to 3am] there's not a lot of option for food but Edwin the young man behind counter will fix up the prepackaged sandwiches and toast it in the oven.
