I prefer to support local businesses. HERE is where family legacies and business's DIE. The customer service is so severely lacking that I had to wonder if it was a bad joke. They lost my prescription and decided not to fill it anytime within a week of dropping it off. They decided to verbally attack me as a group of three against me and try to dominate the narrative that their incompetence was some how my fault. They violated HIPPA and did not protect my medical information. I don't know how they keep their job , unless they are family. And if they are family then their family are rolling over in their graves and the ones alive must be ashamed by the disgusting display. I do not understand how they are in business unless their customers are loyal to previous owners/family members. Or their customers are afraid to speak or otherwise don't have a voice. Because these people do not understand or CARE about the job they are doing and the service they are providing. They held in their ability medicine that could save my life and treated it as an option. A OPTION that they didn't feel was worth anything but a bad attitude, and a combative behavior I have only seen from drunks in bars. This place is a disgrace!! A disgrace to the pharmaceutical profession! A disgrace to the wayneville community! A disgrace to the Hazelwood Village! A disgrace to their families! and to themselves!! Shame on you! Go be a bar keep! The lot of you! You are seem best suited to being bouncers at a dive bar then the people who can hurt or terminate the delicate medical conditions of people who need their medications. Find GOD!!!! I left a review because I thought that we were regularly having a hard time filling compounded Tylenol. No one ever explained to us that there was another step required beyond our doctor sending over the prescription. We simply did not know. That lack of knowledge on our part lead to a negative review. It was a negative review so they called us. Ashley was immediately confrontational on the phone and called me abusive, although she was the one berating me. That being said, Ashley was absolutely cruel and callous over the phone, even taunting us "Goodluck" getting our meds and laughing for us to have. "Merry Christmas. Hahaha (a wild thing for a pharmacist to do) and hung up on me. All wildly unprofessional. I even called her back and attempted to reconcile although her behavior was abhorrent. It clearly did not work hence this second review. This is no laughing matter. Just kind of sad honestly. The other woman there seemed very nice. We will have to find a new place and I suppose that is what is best. Their management needs training. That's the bottom line. Disappointed more than anything. There are other compounding pharmacies. We will be fine. I wish them well, and thank them for their guidance after the fact and for the good luck wishes!

Kim's took over providing this special compound for me without missing a beat. I have been gradually moving all my prescriptions to Kim's, even though I have been going to the same commercial/chain drug store for decades. There is no difference in the price of regular prescriptions to the chain stores, so why not opt for the personal touch? If you're always in a hurry, or only refill your meds when you're completely out, or you like to peruse the various and sundry items typically found in the retail sections of drug stores... Kim's isn't that. Kim's is a solid health and well being community support system. The drive through check out is incredibly convenient, and it's nice to get off of the hustle & bustle of Russ Avenue or Main Street.

I've lived in Brevard area for 7 years and never had reason to use a pharmacy…read more Had to get a compounded cream, and comparison shopped Metcalfs against Asheville Compounding Pharmacy (which is where my Doc says most people get this prescription) I was pleasantly surprised to find Metcalfs was 1/3 less $ and also much closer to me to boot! When I went to get my script, the folks there were super nice and answered a number of questions I had. I always deal local when possible, and was glad to see my home town pharmacy was both competitively priced and able to help me when I had a special requirement. Thanks Metcalfs!

Along with a wide variety of supplements, they also offer snacks, canned goods, flours, bulk items, personal products -- you know, Lots of stuff. We were sent to get coffee for my dad and my mom who was visiting in the cafeteria and when we asked for creamer a lady said its thete snd we told her there was none she made it a point to whisper to another lady and look like we stole the creamer or something. I asked what the issue was and she was so rude.my issue with things like this happening are 1. People who have loved ones going through hard times are u der stress themselves they need compassion. 2. Insurance paid enough that if my mom and dad wanted 20 creamers they should be able to get those. JS. For thr most part other staff was good they attended to my dad quickly.i do think alot of miscommunication between thr hospital and rehab happened which caused for alpt of stress.i would recommend skyland over any other place locally.room was a good size. Rehab room was nice. I had the names of two businesses confused (e.g. I thought that "Torned" on the hill was "Lovely" down by the river, when it was the complete opposite). I have to apologize to Skyland for my mistake. Sorry! So, I will be blunt. My grandmother died here. It is a place that I trusted. It does not feel like a resort, but like a bustling, warm, small hospital. Everyone is very friendly. It feels like a home despite the clinical trappings. The employees were efficient and had hearts. I felt very comfortable talking to them. My grandmother's doctor was knowledgable and had a nice manner. You could tell that he cared about people. The rooms were clean. Some were shared. Patients can have photos on the wall and mementos on the bedside table. My grandmother needed help feeding herself, so they helped feed her. Help is always nearby. It is a hard decision to place someone you love in the care of others outside of your home. I did not have to make that decision for my grandmother, but it still affected me. There's a saga there and past that. I have seen the bad side of people when death is imminent. Sometimes a person dying in their own home is not the best situation. I am glad that Skyland was there for my grandmother. (Updated 2/2/16.)
