This is the most disorganized pharmacy that I have ever visited. Yes, it is a 24 hour pharmacy and as such you may expect it to be busier than others (as another reviewer has written). This is however not a valid excuse. As a physician in the South Bay for over 20 years, I advise my patients to never use this pharmacy. Worst pharmacy visit I have ever experienced in my life. I showed up pretty late after I had spend all night in the ER with my sick child. Maryann is the technician at the time, and is the only one working back there. I am the only customer in the ENTIRE store let alone the pharmacy. As I approached, she looked at me and walks away. She continues to walk as slow as a turtle doing what seems to be stocking. I asked excusingly if she could help me and she turns around with the most attitude I have ever received in my life! And practically yells, "I said I'll be right with you!" I was completely shocked! Whether or not I heard her "apparent initial greet" there's no way her response could be validated. I responded with, wow you must hate your job. She did not say one word to me after I handed her my prescriptions and then says it'll be 10-15 minutes. I've worked in customer service my whole life and this is the first time I've ever been yelled at, especially by a "medical professional" who is supposed to be helping people. Shame on you CVS for letting this one slip thru the cracks. Not coming back to this location. read more

I have no idea why I continue to frequent this pharmacy. Possibly because it is the closets 24 hour in the southbay area, and I am a night owl getting off work pretty late. The Pharmacy is insane, they are so understaffed, over worked, slow, impatient and rude. I had one pharmacy tech who was checking me out after a 1 1/2 hour wait for a prescription I had called to be ready and filled by the time I got there (1 hour later) and it wasn't ready so I sat, and waited and waited and waited, finally when I signed the sheet I threw the pen down in a fit of frustration on the book, and held my handout to retrieve my almost expired meds and the tech yelled at me saying "DONT THROW MY PEN!!" as if it were her child. Give me a break and my medication, and get a puppy, might give you some joy in your life. Another issue is getting doctor approvals, I call the pharmacy, they say they need doctor approval, I call the doctor and ask them to check the fax, they say they never received one from cvs, I call cvs back, they say they definitely sent it but will send again, this goes on about 3 times. Finally I call and they say they will be getting it ready now, I asked if I can come pick it up in an hour, they say "yes absolutely", i get there, not ready, That is 2-3 hours out of my fricken day trying to fill a script, Get it together CVS pharmacy and do your job, and for godsake hire some more people who aren't so miserable. The newest is I lost a scrip over the holidays, bags were lost etc.. I want to fill the refill but it is too soon for insurance, so I want to pay cash for it, mind you i am only 4 days early on refilling it. It is not even a narcotic. They said they needed doctor approval and would make a doctor call in the am. Never happened. I called and asked them to fax the doctor. By that time my doctor left for the holiday weekend like everyone else, and now I have to wait until she is back in the office. But what is the f'in point bc by then I can refill the script anyway. And this is a Much needed medication. All together, save yourself the drama, and the nonsense. Oh and the line there is longer than a line in a one stall bathroom at a club in vegas from the hours of 8am-12am. I've been in there at 2am and there has been a line of 6 or so people with only one pharmacist working (the night pharmacist are actually pretty nice usually). Out of control!!! One perc. the main pharmacist remembers faces and names is quick, professional, yet friendly, and always greets you when you are waiting in the hellacious line. I believe her name is Shulpa, or sounds like. As for the rest of the store, it is alright, they have a lot of options for stuff to eat, drink, always stocked on vitamins and stuff, usually low stock on cold and allergy mediations, but getting through the checkout line in the front is almost worst than the pharmacy line. Again, all i'm saying is DON'T DO IT, save yourself the drama. read more

This was my first time going to a CVS pharmacy. It was a poor experience. I went to the doctor earlier today and left with a prescription which I immediately brought to this CVS at 2:30pm. I was helped by Rasha who had no idea what she was doing. She couldn't figure out my insurance and would cut me of and not talk to me or answer my questions. She told me I could wait for my prescription to be filled which would take 25 minutes, or I could pick it up later. She told me that she would call my insurance and figure it out before I picked it up. I waited until 5:30pm and I called the pharmacy. She answered the phone and told me it was ready for pick up and it would only cost 10$. I went to pick it up at 7pm and the lady i talked with was sorry but my prescription wasn't filled. She asked me to step aside and she would expedite my pills so I wouldn't have to wait. 30 minutes (and two magazines later) she had my prescription ready. I felt sorry for her because she delt with many rude and condescending customers who had just gotten off work, they didn't realize that she was only doing her job to help them out. She was a wonderful lady. I forgot to ask her name but she has a short blonde bob haircut and seemed to be in her late forties. She was quick to check me out and I tried my best to be kind to her. I won't be going to CVS to get my future prescriptions filled but she definitely deserves some props. Thank you anonymous lady. Your work is appreciated. read more

I never thought I would write a review about a pharmacy, but this is absolutely the most atrocious pharmacy ever. Since they are dealing with people's health, their lack of service borders on malpractice. There is always an enormous line for the pharmacy--even if you have had a script called it hours before, you will need to wait in line for twenty minutes just to get them to start working on filling it, then another twenty minutes for them to do so. Today I received an automated message stating my prescription was filled, and then an associate called in person to ask a question about another script. They assured me my steroid pack was ready. When my boyfriend went to pick it up for me, they claimed they have no record of it and their computers are down until tomorrow. Meanwhile I am suffering at home, having to wait until tomorrow to transfer it to another pharmacy. This is inhumane. I can walk here in minutes but I would rather drive somewhere else. read more

I haven't used the pharmacy here in a few years because of how awful the service was when they first opened. However, my insurance is thru them, so I have no choice (although, for reasons you'll see later, I think I'll go to another CVS location). So I log onto caremark.com to refill a prescription that I really, really need asap because a substitute medication that my doctor asked me to try didn't work. I find out that it will be a week or two before I can get it, so they suggested I call a local CVS to get it transferred to the store. I call this pharmacy in the morning, give them all the information including the caremark phone number, and am told to call back before I come in to pick up the prescription. Well, I did forget to call, but I figured what the heck, it was 4-6 hours later so what could go wrong? I wait in the "pickup" line only told they don't have it and to go stand in the "drop off" line, where I'm informed the person who had called caremark was placed on hold for 30 minutes so they hung up. Fine, but how about CALLING THEM BACK?! Did they think I, the customer, was just going to go away? So I settle down in the waiting area (and this is disgusting, the seat of the chair next to me had a large stain on it, smelled like urine and I told them about it, and hours later the chair is STILL THERE), read for awhile and then check and yes, they were able to get through. I believe the person that called caremark was a pharmacist named Silpha (her photo is actually on the wall) and I heard her say yes, we did get through "after a 30-minute wait." I don't know if she was referring to the first time they called, or if they were again placed on hold for 30 minutes the second time they called. And what exactly was her point?! It's certainly not the customer's fault and I didn't wait more than a couple of minutes when I called caremark myself! At this point about 45 minutes of my time had been wasted, so I elected to come back and pick up the prescription later. When I did so, I got a business card for the pharmacy manager and will be calling him next week with my feedback on their unacceptable customer (no) service and will be using a different CVS location as they obviously do not have their act together. read more

I've been on this planet a little more than three and a half decades, I have valid proof of my existence and this A hole decides to make a huge deal about it. My ID passed the hologram test and is in perfect condition but he still refused it. I still look like my PICTURE, and in fact had three other people confirm it was a REAL I'd. I just can't fathom that still at 36 F*ING years old, I still get scrutinized, discriminated against, and embarrassed because this Peckerless motherless son of a female dog in heat, there I didn't swear, just for you Jerry, passed judgement on me even when I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH PROOF OF MY IDENTITY SHORT OF MY MF BIRTH CERTIFICATE YOU ASS!! Compared to the CVS closer to my house (On PCH and 2nd), I love this place. From the cashiers upfront to the pharmacist and technicians in the back, I was impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone was. I needed a pain medication that was difficult to find after having pins put in my hand. Not only was this pharmacy one of the only ones in the area to carry it, but they have the prescription ready sooner than expected and processing my insurance card took less than 30 seconds. I also bought some other items and elected to pay up front with the cashier, she was very friendly even asking about my day and chatting for a moment while she rang things up. Totally incompetent. On at least two occasions I have tried to fill prescriptions here, only to be told on arrival they didn't have it ready. Most recently, I even called to confirm that a prescription was ready, was told over the phone it was ready, only to arrive and be told that the prescription wasn't even in their system. Don't waste your time on their incompetence - go somewhere else. read more

Tried to switch my mom's Rx from cypress to this pharmacy, the lady who answered the phone sounded like she had a bad day! She sounded like she's in a hurry to hang up the phone and telling me that she cannot find any refills in my mom's file. It was a letter difference in the first name and all her info in the system correct. When I asked her to search her first name with that different letter it magically appeared that she has a refill. Absolutely a horrible service and I hope they would put someone on the phone who is willing to just be patient and not in hurry to dismiss customers! read more

WOW!! Is all I can say about these 24 hour cvs pharmacies! My son broke his arm in 2 places yesterday we didn't get out of hospital until late therefore all pharmacies were closed plus it was Sunday! I took his pain medicine to my nearest cvs 24hr pharmacy to be told they don't carry the medicine! It was a liquid form of hydrocodone. I asked him if he could call other pharmacy to see if they have it he told me no!! So off I go driving to the next one! I waited for 1 hr in line to be told the same thing they don't carry it! I said what is the point you are 24hr for people who have emergencies my young son broke his arm and has nothing for his pain! How is it possible you don't carry pain medicine in liquid form for young children?? I was told because it only has a 1 year shelf life so it's not ordered!! I called the 3rd pharmacy and I was told they as well didn't have the meds. So again what happens when someone has an accident??? I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on!! read more

pharmacy had me on hold for ten minutes, while someone from the wrong department accidently picked up the line i was on and said he would get the pharmascist another three minutes go by and i get hung up on. Then i call back and they ask if i can hold and then i tell the woman how long ive been waiting and that they hung up on me and she says in a bitchy ass tone i have to answer the calls in order there is two people in front of you. One positive about this location is that the pharmacy is 24hr. However, this small convenience is greatly outweighed by the frustration of each visit. I always set up my prescription on automatic refill, so that my trips can be an easy in and out. Almost every other month, my prescription is not filled. When I remind them that it should be automatically refilled, they say the computer "didn't pick it up" for some reason. I am willing to accept that maybe their computer system has flaws, however, rather than try to rectify the situation and apologize for inconvenience, I am told I will have to wait at least an hour for the prescription that should have been filled days ago. It seems unreasonable to me that the pharmacy makes a mistake, yet does not work right away to solve the problem. Though the employees are usually very kind, I am consistently frustrated and plan to change locations. read more

Whatever you do, avoid dealing with this pharmacy at night, when the most uncaring health "care" professional I have ever encountered works. My medical care is provided by a free clinic that is basically impossible to get a hold of when it's time to get prescriptions refilled. Even going to the clinic and standing in front of the desk in person doesn't always result in me leaving there with a written prescription in hand. As a result, it is often necessary to ask the pharmacy for a "hold-over" of medication until contact is made. Add to this the fact that twice my doctor has insisted (and shows me proof) that she has authorized a refill, but this CVS pharmacy doesn't show it in their system. On top of that, they refuse to CALL the doctor by telephone, but will only send faxes, even when it is completely ineffective to do so, which also delays the process significantly. So I may be asking for holdovers more often than the next person... but my medication is not a drug that can be abused or taken recreationally. It is Parkinson's medication. The woman who is the night pharmacist is such an uncaring petty bureaucrat that she will refuse to give me holdovers, even though the medication I take is an absolute necessity for me and the reasons I'm asking are legitimate and out of my control. One of her reasons is that she feels the prescription was written wrong by the doctor. I don't disagree with her, but it's not against the rules the way the doctor wrote it, and anyway, it's not my fault. She tells me that I need to fix it, to go back to the clinic and tell the doctor how to make the prescription out so it will be to her liking. I have dealt with other pharmacies in the past, and with other pharmacists even at this location, and they are all nice and caring and polite. Even if they can't do what I'd like them to do, they treat me with compassion and concern, which may not solve the problem but certainly eases the situation. Not this woman. She is always right, I am always wrong, and whether it's the doctor's fault or CVS's fault, she behaves as if it is MY fault. Last time I dealt with her, she told me it's my fault for not having real insurance and having to go to a free clinic for care (I have county-sponsored insurance for low income people). This woman reduces me to tears every time I have to deal with her. Unfortunately, my schedule is such that coming at night is the only option I have. Thank God (and Obamacare) that I will have different insurance January 1st, and will be able to pick my prescriptions up at a different pharmacy. read more
