Pharmacy was not customer service focused on two occasions. Medication refill was called in from dental office after patron stood in line waiting to pick up antibiotics. Clerk stated patron would receive a phone call once medication was ready for pick up. Call was never received so patron stood in line again to finally pick up. Another snafu was encountered with clerk at pick up counter yet I am calling out the pharmacist. "J" informed patron antibiotics from two days ago were not completely used. Patron stated the obvious answer as the dentist wanted patron to have plenty of antibiotics for infection. Since previous prescription was electronically sent the dentist provided a written prescription for patron. I will not continue to ramble on about insensitivity towards elderly patrons. I will continue to speak freely in public towards defending those elderly patrons because "I AM" one. read more

I finally had enough and left Walgreens on Cypress .. Don't even get me started about the mistakes these people make. Omg... Anyway, I looked up reviews and decided to switch to this CVS. Best decision EVER! Scott is one of the pharmacists there and he literally went above and beyond for days in a row calling my doctors office, calling Walgreens because nobody was sending the prescriptions over. I was completely out of medication and it was just a comedy of errors between my Dr. Office and Walgreens. Scott took responsibility and personally called me several times, even giving me a few pills just to hold me over since my doctors office wasn't responding. I have literally never seen service like that. I am BEYOND impressed! These people should be used to Train other pharmacies how to conduct business, utilize safety standards, and keep customers! If you look on Google, they have very high reviews, so I'm not sure why there is such a discrepancy on Yelp with this location. They literally live up to a five star rating. read more

I'll echo other reviews by saying I wish there was a zero star option. Pharmacy techs are incredibly rude. They all seem bitter and angry. If you don't like your job, go somewhere else. I've received another person's prescription twice. I'd consider that a pretty significant error. Between the risk of getting a wrong med, and the general disdain CVS employees seem to feel for their customers, I've moved over to Costco. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for the last 4 years now and haven't had any issues. My son uses medication that requires a PAR or a prior authorization and that usually takes up to 6days for the insurance to get to it but idk what Marie does that she's able to get those to come back ASAP which is great because my sone can't go 6days without his medications. I've gone to other pharmacies and have tried all but 2 of the pharmacies here in Visalia, but I always come back to this one. I also try to take advantage of the coupons that I get from using the rewards program. This particular CVS has a lot of household items we use and they always great us when we walk in. Some of the other CVS stores don't really do that but I like that this one acknowledges you when you come in. read more

One time got accused of stealing AT THE SELF CHECKOUT WITH THE CASHIER RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! Are you serious?! Rude and inconsiderate. Gave incorrect information and after 5 days gave me bAck my paper Rx. The techs are more polite than the pharmacy manager who discriminated based on my disability. RUDE, LOST PRESCRIPTIONS, UNTIMELY!!! I transferred my prescriptions to this pharmacy from RiteAid in hopes of getting better customer service and my prescriptions in a timely manner and with no troubles, was I ever wrong! I have been denied my prescription because they claimed it wasn't time for a refill when I was clearly 2 days past the last refill date! They LOST my prescription and tried to blame me! They are good on not having new refills ready because they let them sit there until I actually call and then they will "find them"! One of the female employees got extremely aggressive on the phone with me because I was trying to explain if she can please double check if the doctor sent my prescription because in the past they have not filled it do to not entering the new refill in the computer yet, she went on this tangent making remarks saying "why wouldn't I sell it to you if I had it", so I got on the defense and aggressively told her back not to talk to me in such a manner and she hung up on me! read more

Staff member, Michael, is very efficient at his job and goes the extra mile to be so kind. Today I saw him walking an elderly lady to her vehicle, arms linked, as she had trouble walking. The pharmacy staff here is nice enough and efficient if there are no issues. They will not contact you to let you know if there are problems (it's happened several times) You will find that out when you finally call or go in. They will not do anything extra to help you. Yesterday I was told they are no longer doing special orders of medications. I wasn't told this in advance of course, so I had to call around to try and find a pharmacy that could fill my RX ASAP. Now that pharmacy is waiting for CVS to fax back my RX so they can fill it. I even called and politely pleaded and explained my situation and they assured me they would respond immediately. 24 hrs later and Day 2 of no medication of a med you shouldn't stop suddenly. read more

Don't know which was worse...the drug pushers dealing at the vending machine outside the store, or the drug pushers inside the store! Pushers outside left when they knew they were being watched, inside they were surly and rude. I had to repeat myself for or five times answering their demanding questions...I asked they do not use their auto dialer to call me...they ignored my wishes. The consultation they insisted upon consisted of..."What do you want to know?' I asked, is there anything I need to know about the effects of this medication? The "consultants answer, one word, "No." That is NOT true! The effects can impair driving ability, and the side effects are potentially fatal. I would have liked them to tell me, instead of having to read it in the literature they stapled to the bag. These men and women have good minds, that is obvious...what they lack is emotional maturity. So long CVS!!! read more

I love a good deal and I love acting like I'm extreme couponer ,often flapping my lips to my family, friends, or any one within an earshot about my free Cadsbury Egg Creme and the $3.99 bottle of Tide. What I love about this location is they don't roll their eyes when you stack coupons, on some level them seem proud of you for getting a good deal on your vitamins and toilet paper. Once I used four coupons at another CVS to get a really good deal on two L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Smoothing Souffle Foundations totaling me 10 bucks, which was a major steal since one cost somewhere between $15-16. To my chagrin the foundation was too pale somewhere between Aryan and Alabaster, the color of Edward Cullen sparkly skin. I felt somewhat defended, returning the foundations to this CVS location. The cashier noticed that I got a great deal on the makeup and suggested I exchange the colors which I thought was really beyond her job duties. She suggested that I pick different colors too since I had trouble finding the right shade. I went home and mixed the colors and volia, the color is perfect. This was one of several instances where I've been really impressed with customer service and helpful attitude of the staff at this particular location. Living in Tulare, I go out of my way to shop at this location because they maintain professionalism (I never see them staring off into space or texting) and they really do Extra Care. read more

The pharmacy here is terrible. I have dropped of a prescription one day and gone back for it the next (12+ hours later) and was told it still was not ready and they only began working on it once I got there. I called in a prescription yesterday afternoon and requested it be ready for pick up at 5:00pm today. Get to the location only to be told it would not be ready for another hour. When I asked the attendant if they always run behind she looked at me like I had a third eye. One time I could understand but two months in a row is ridiculous. I spoke to the store manager who offered no solutions and merely made the excuse that they had just lost the pharmacy manager a few days ago. When confronted with the fact that this was not a one time occurrence he continued to make excuses. Worst part is the prescription was for birth control which merely requires the pharmacy to grab the package and place a sticker on it. read more

I called my Rx's in yesterday for a 1 p.m. pick up today and as par for the course they were not ready when I arrived at 2:30 p.m. I was told they would be ready in 30 min's. I went into the pharmacy to wait and was then told they did not have a pharmacist there that he was at lunch and it would be an hour or so. I then came home to wait and they did call me at 6:15 p.m. to tell me my Rx's were ready for pick up but the pharmacy was closed and I could have them tomorrow. REALLY if you don't want to sell people their Rx's then close your doors. Guess what CVS, Walgreens just told me they would fill my Rx's tomorrow and they are closer to my home read more
