I recently received a survey to receive $10.00 in extra bucks. I filled out your survey & submitted it. I received an e-mail saying I was not eligible for the $10.00. What is this a scam & a sham? I will make sure everybody hears about this scam to get your info. I am reporting this to the better business bureau at once. As a member of the Boston Teacher's Union, I will send an e-mail out to warn members about this scam, to get your info without the customer getting the $10.00 extra bucks. How can you stoop this low? They were good until Walgreens closed, now they are very difficult to deal with. I take a specific medication that you can not just stop taking with out serious repercussions. I call ahead of time and they tell me that they have or will have my medication but the last few months have been very difficult to get my meds. I have to see my doctor every 4 weeks and cvs has had me wait up to 5 days before being able to fill my script... now I see my doctor and because of all the times I've had to wait days they are behind at least 2 weeks behind schedule of me seeing the doc and being able to get my script...this last time they gave me 3 partial fills so in 6 days in theory I will be able to get my script from this month. So even though it was called in on the 13th I can't get it until the 26th if they even have it. Not having my script on time I get very nauseous, anxious and physical pain there has to be a better way or pharmacy ....also the staff I talked to on the phone with today was very rude and condescending gave me attitude when I tried to explain the situation when I got there I asked to speak with the pharmacist and asked how we can avoid doing this every month she said to call ahead of time which I do!!!!!!!!! read more

I'm not sure what is going on at this location. It was always well-stocked and clean and the pharmacy was excellent. I can't believe how disgusting this CVS has gotten--it looks run down and dirty and it smells terrible. Also, every toiletry is behind a locked case. It's just ridiculous. Why shop here anymore? This store unprofessional! I went in with my husband to get a rain check for an item and the sales clerk gave me and my husband and attitude. She and another sales person were talking in the corner and making racist remarks about me and my husband. When I asked to speak to the manager he defended them and didn't even apologize for their actions. So deeply disappointed in this store. Thought they were better than that. Boy I was so wrong! Me and my family are pulling all of our prescriptions out of there and going to a more personal place of business. read more

I used to go there regularly, now I find service is lacking. I asked the pharmacy about a vitamin, they had no idea what I was talking about! Welp Yelpers, today is the day I start my search for a new pharmacy. I went in to have a prescription filled and the pharmacist tried to tell me it was to soon, was very rude, and wrong. J asked to speak with someone else after failing to convince her she she was not counting correctly (shouldn't it just say this in their system??). She kept saying I had picked up my med at 4p last time it was filled as if that changes which day it was, and kept counting off by a day. She mumbled sassily "I'll get someone else, but they're just going to tell you the same thing" as she walked away. The next pharmacist came over and I told him either my my math is off (which it wasn't) or they've shorted me...again, like they shorted me 3 pills months ago which I luckily caught when I got home and went back to have corrected. He started to give me a talking to about how I should have come back right away if I was shorted this time, and how they always double count prescriptions. I stopped him, saying this wasn't even the point and to please fill my script since it was eligible. Then, get this, he says, "I'll have it ready in 15 minutes". Wait...what? So now your saying I AM right, but aren't Saying That? Just pretending nothing just happened? I was baffled. I hadn't done or said anything wrong, Yet was treated like some sketchy suspicious lunatic, and then, without a word about any of it, just told to wait fifteen minutes for my medication. OKAY. So my med was then filled and the first pharmacist sent the guy working the drive through window to ring me up because...she was too proud? This is not the first time I've been treated poorly here, had extreme difficulty getting a script filled for no justifiable reason, or left feeling embarrassed, upset, etc. and so, I've had it. Anyone working in healthcare related fields should strive to keep customers at ease and grasp the concept of empathy. The goal should be to assist in a timely manner. Oh, and basic math skills are a plus! TLDR: Do yourself a favor and pick another pharmacy that treats customers like customers not criminals and isn't constantly behind or messing up scripts. read more

I am never filling a prescription here again. They don't provide any updates unless you ask, so if your meds are out of stock you just wait and wait. This has happened to me multiple times. They also botch photo orders on the regular. Find a different pharmacy. read more

I've always been very pleased with CVS located at Highpoint Village in Roslindale. Staff is very knowledgeable and polite. I have also had all of my Covid shots there, and they explain everything to you before administering anything. read more

I have used this CVS pharmacy for a long time, and increasingly over these past few years, I have encountered nothing but unfriendliness, negative experiences, and a general lack of readiness to be helpful. I have had prescriptions for the same medications for years and years. About a year ago, for no apparent reason, I was informed by the pharmacy staff that they couldn't fill my prescription and I needed to call my health insurance provider. Which I did. They informed me that there should have been no problem filling my script, as my insurance was active. I then proceeded to call CVS back, who gave me the same song and dance. I then proceeded to play telephone tag with my health insurance providers, as they told me over and over - and over - again that there was no reason for this issue to be encountered. When I suggested that the pharmacist call my provider directly (cutting me out as the middleman, as I had talked to each respective party multiple times and was getting nowhere), they were reticent. After finally getting my script filled (roughly 20 phone calls later), I thought the issue was resolved. I was wrong. I encountered the same problem when I took my scripts there two months later. Exasperated, I asked for my prescriptions back and took them to Walgreen's, who filled it WITHIN TWO HOURS. No phone calls. No problems. No fuss. I will not using this pharmacy again, and I suggest to anyone who has prescriptions to fill: take them down the road to Walgreen's. read more

I happen to really like this cvs , better than all of the others in fact ;) I like it for a few reasons! 1. It is right next to star market so if I dont meet all of my shopping needs here, I can hop on over there! 2. The parking... I always find a great spot! 3. The staff is Super Friendly :) 4. Pharmacy manager could use some empathy. Needed to pick up a prescription on a Sunday night that was already filled and just needed to be paid for when I discovered that the pharmacy closes before the rest of the store. Went directly to the prescription drive in and got in line behind someone being served. When they were finished it was 2 minutes late but the attendant refused to serve me and closed the window. It's one of the biggest CVS in the area They do have everything that you might need the only downside is the pharmacy is very busy and the wait time is always double than any other pharmacy but they do have a drive thru which makes it a little bit easier read more

The clerks here are nice here, even the occasional teenager who pretends to be looking for something for you is outwardly polite. The clerks at 1918 never judge me for buying condoms or cotton ponies. And there is fuzzy water in front. No American spirits but it doesn't matter cause i quit. CVS greeting cards used to mostly suck, well I'm a greeting card snob, but you can come up with the occasional gem if you hunt. Q-tips are in the baby aisle which I think is prejudiced towards non-breeders. Make-up is on the right. Oh and I remember the old days before CVSs sold chairs, ovens, and air conditioners or was that just before I was in the market for cheap, made-in-china, homegoods-- But what ever happened to kaboodles? These clear or funky tool kits for girls were all the rage in the 80s and 90s. Just because they are out of fashion doesn't mean they are out of practicality. I need something to store my over-the-counters and herbal remedies and I think a nice kaboodle would be just the ticket but I can't find one anywhere. For twenty years I've been filling Worker's Comp prescriptions at this locations. Not *once* in those twenty years have I been able ​to bring in a prescription (or drive one through, I won't go in anymor​e) and pick it up without a level of complication that is mind-boggling. Today's explanation was that *I* am supposed to mediate the process of pre-approval with the insurance company and inform CVS that approval was given. No. Not once not ever. Your job. I've gone here because my regular insurance makes it cheaper (supposedly) than Walgreens, but this was my last trip. And they plan to be a one-stop health service? Yikes. read more

The pharmacy is painful-any time I have a prescription to be filled it takes forever! The employees either can't find it, put the wrong insurance through or don't know what's going on. The most disrespectful pharmacy experience. The pharmacist vehemently threatened to call the cops on my mother (who is a senior citizen!). This was after my mother, who dropped her prescription off 2 hours earlier, was told to wait an extra 50 minutes before anyone even asked for her name to look up her prescription! (As you can tell by other reviews, this pharmacy is KNOWN for having really slow service.) My mom complained about the slow service and was then threatened. When I went again to get the prescription, the pharmacist was threatening to call the cops on another customer. She seemed young and to be having a huge break down. (Which I can sympathize with) but her behavior, lack of professionalism, and straight up disrespect towards people is unacceptable. Please note, that any positive reviews of this CVS are old, (dated 2008,2011 etc.). The recent reviews are unanimous in the unsatisfying customer experience. read more

This is my local pharmacy therefor I have all my prescriptions filled here. Most times I cant get through on the phone. I constantly get a busy signal. A lot of times when I go pick up a prescription they tell me they are out of stock and I have to wait an additional 3-4 days. I love staying local but I am really considering switching to Walgreens which is a few steps away from this CVS. read more

My first time in here and there's an old lady yelling at an inexperienced cocky employee with an attitude and an old woman beside him that hates her life. I went in here for two drinks and waited at least ten minutes cuz the older lady behind the counter was working with a woman who was returning all her items. By the time I was paying the woman also had an attitude when I gave her the money. I love this CVS. I need to refill prescriptions several times a month and the pharmacists know me well, know my prescriptions and make refills and pick up at the window very very easy. In line at the pharmacy on Saturday for about 40 minutes. Then was offered a flu shot meant for someone else. The pharmacist just started rattling off information and asked me to verify it. So the couple the shot was intended for and who had just arrived, jumped ahead. The pharmacist was surprised there were two people at that. Complete chaos. Finally, when it was my turn ... they did not have my prescription. Wegman's new pharmacy is looking good. Farewell chaos. Welcome, customer service. Followup: OK, change that to one star. Rudest phone call EVER to resolve the issue. They had the prescription. Just needed my insurance info updated but instead girl on Saturday just said, "We have no record of that prescription." Not that this place can get any worse but lets just throw the pharmacy in the mix of this place being the ultimate nightmare! So you call in a specialized prescription and trust that there are actual competent people working in the pharmacy. But wait, this is CVS so why not double check because you just never know who is behind that white counter! Just as I thought, THEY NEVER PUT IN THE ORDER AFTER ONE WEEK!! So a little complaining and you would think this would help?? Another week goes by and you call again to double check because now you know you are dealing with must I say idiots? Again, THEY NEVER PUT IN THE ORDER and now you ask to speak to a supervisor and find out all along the specialized prescription was not covered by insurance? I went to the doctor on May 1 and had a script called in. It was a new dosage and they had to call the insurance company to get an ok. It is now May 4, they haven't called the insurance. I just waited in line,to be told to come back in an hour. Maby it will be accepted, many not. My insurance company MADE me change pharmacys to CVS. This is not the first problem I have had with this place. I used to use Osco in Hyde Park. I got to know the pharmacists. They are the best. read more

I wish I could give this a better rating. The store does have all that I would need... however, the wait for a Rx at the pharmacy is daunting if not completely frustrating. I needed to pick up an emergency Rx recently, and after the doctor had called it in, I had to wait for over an hour. To me, that is unacceptable... This CVS looks nice and is very large with lots of products but both the pharmacy and the checkout are an absolute disaster. At the pharmacy I have had several bad experiences. Three times they have misplaced my son's prescription. Considering he is only 1.5 years old and has only ever received eye creams or oral antibiotics that is pretty ridiculous. This most recent mess up caused him to suffer with his ear infection for an extra day because they lost his prescription after his doctor's office had already closed. They said the prescription hadn't been sent, yet the next morning they admitted they did have it, but the system had somehow rejected it. Like I said, this supposed "system rejection" has happened almost EVERY time my son has had a prescription filled! At the checkout it is routine for there to be a line of 10+ people and the self-checkouts are almost always offline or broken. At face value it appears to be one of the nicest CVS stores. The store is wonderful. Over the past year though, the pharmacy has routinely been making mistakes with prescriptions.

Since the new pharmacy manager took over, things have definitely taken a turn for the better. Error rates are down and staff morale is way up. Disregard my previous 1-star review, please. In addition, if I need something at the Library next door, seeing as how CVS doesn't care who parks in their lot, I can just park and walk right over. Plus, of course, when we get the obligatory nor'easter, they have pharmacy drive-thru, which is VERY comvienient. read more
