CVS has generally had the products I need and want at a reasonable price. But I'm done with CVS. Two things: their aggressive hustling of the ExtraCare card and employees that lack respect for the elderly. While seemingly there are advantages to the ExtraCare/ExtraCare Plus, many customers simply want to pay for what they want and need and go home. Others don't have the "credentials" necessary, namely an email address, and that makes it impossible for them to participate. Today I saw an elderly couple not be able to make their purchase because the system couldn't enroll them without an email address, which they said several times they did not have one. Never did I hear the employee tell them that they could just make their purchase anyway. They left without what they needed. No apology, just "it won't let me do that without an email because there is nowhere to send..." And then it was my turn and I was greeted by "Next" (I was the only one standing there waiting) and called "Boss". Normally I look past this mannerism of the younger generation but today it made it clear that there seems to be a lack of respect for elders by some CVS employees. This is clearly a management failure. While the young man was never outrightly rude, he was never polite either. How about a bit more respect and understanding for the senior members of the community, who are a large part of the CVS customer base? read more

The average wait time in the drive thru to pick up prescriptions is literally 11 minutes per car. Normally I wouldn't have waited, but the pharmacy hours changed. I received a text just before 6pm that my prescriptions were ready yesterday. I got to CVS shortly afterward. The pharmacy was closed. I've been in line at the drive thru for almost an hour. I have my dog with me and was forced to wait. I'm out of one of my prescriptions and need for tomorrow morning. Couldn't back out. Too many cars behind me. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business. If there were zero stars, that would be too many. They have one job - to fill prescriptions - and they can't seem to do that without it turning into a major projection, several communications with the doctor, etc. As others have stated, counter assistant ELLE is one of the rudest, most unhelpful people I've ever come across. Both she and pharmacy manager SONYA both repeatedly said my doctor did not call, did not authorize early refill of my prescription and/or did not know the reason, all of which was true. There was no basis for refusing to refill the prescription, and when my doctor called back three times to authorize, they just kept hanging up on her. Perhaps if CVS actually hired competent employees, there would not be such a huge backlog and wait for prescriptions. read more

Chris (no visible name tag; we asked him for his name) the one stocking the selves was very rude to customers and was accusing me of destroying the box of the merchandise. I opened the box to check if the merchandise was also defective since the box was already delapidated. I opened another box to compare the quality of the same merchandise. He acted in a way of attacking me and told me to leave the store. He even even asked me if I was going to pay for it. I told him I am paying for it that is why I am checking if the merchandise is not defective as the delapitated box. This is our first time to go to this store and will never come back here since Chris was very rude. He needs a lot of customer service training. Pharmacist Ellie is the absolute rudest individual I have ever spoken with in the healthcare field. She regularly does not read comments on prescriptions sent to the pharmacy, meaning that I have to regularly call her to correct them. Recently, Ellie said to me "I don't accept verbal orders from people like you" when asked to change the form of a recently prescribed medication so that the patient's insurance would cover it. She talks down to our providers and patients alike. Patients: There are many other efficient pharmacies in the area. Providers: Avoid the hassle of working with Ellie and send your patients elsewhere. read more

Asked for job position and then when I told her she said "that's not even a position". Rude and disrespectful. This is my preferred location for picking up medicine. The pick up process is very easy, and the app has been quite helpful and informative. So, when it came time to update my vaccinations, this was my first choice. I showed up just before my appointment time and checked in. I've been a CVS pharmacy costumer for 27 years being in a wheelchair. I started going to this pharmacy and immediately felt extreme Racism. Sofya and the manager is one of the most racist individuals I ever encountered. I'm a 55 year old black man so trust me. I'm also disabled!! I would go one day before my prescription ran out for 10 years no problem then I changed to her pharmacy and she would make me wait days after my doctor filled prescription so I would purposefully run out so I could be sick for a few days then Sofya would allow me to pick it up. She violated all of my rights to receive my medication when my doctor filled my prescription. If you're black or Mexican I would go elsewhere otherwise she will treat you like shit. there is no milk. there is no service. there are no employees to ask questions or help with items on a shelf. there is no customer service. there is, however, always a homeless guy at the door everyday, every-night, intimidating seniors out of "extra change". my 77 year old mother is afraid to fo to the pharmacy for her meds because that guy is there. she's 4.10, 110lbs.- scared and she has cancer. she needs her meds and she needs to be able to get them fear free. she already feels like she's near death. she wants to be able to drive 2 blocks to the pharmacy and get her meds without fear. the pharmacy is a disaster. never well stocked. never well managed. never kind employees and always a guy at the dark door and parking lot intimidating people out of money. cvs has got to do better. rite aid is a mile and a half from us. we will start going to pick up there if this isnt corrected. read more

An older Indian lady by the name of Ellie (I think) from the pharmacy- HORRIBLE customer service. She said she was the pharmacist but I think she lied. She DID NOT want to be at work. She was rushing me and made me feel like a burden. She was so unprofessional and misinformed me about my meds. I had to ask another pharmacist from a different pharmacy to confirm what she was saying was incorrect. Ellie, if you don't want to work anymore, just please retire. I've always had good experiences at this CVS location, as the staff are usually kind and respectful. Unfortunately, my recent interaction with the manager, Netalia, was very disappointing. When I approached the front, she didn't call me up to the register but instead stood there waiting, and when I finally walked over, she rolled her eyes. I let her know I had an order pick-up, and instead of assisting me, she paused in silence until I asked what she needed from me. She then responded in a rude tone, saying "there are many types of pick-ups here." When I clarified that I placed an online order, she condescendingly repeated back, "so online pick-up." When I told her that her attitude was rude, she continued lecturing me about the different types of pick-ups instead of simply helping me. I explained that my issue began from the very start--when she didn't call me up and rolled her eyes. For someone in a managerial position, I expected a higher level of professionalism and basic courtesy. This interaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. With customer service like that, why would I want to continue shopping and spending my money in a place where customers are treated this way? I had a horrible experience with one of the pharmacy workers (older Indian woman) at this CVS. She was extremely rude, kept cutting me off while I was trying to explain my situation, and made me feel rushed the entire time. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, and it felt like she had no patience or willingness to help. Customer service like this is unacceptable, especially in a pharmacy where people are often already stressed. This CVS is a hit or miss. I come here a couple times a year for my medications and also to get my flu shot. On one of my more recent trips I made an appt to get my vaccine and still had to wait about 45 mins which was very frustrating. The pharmacy area is very slow and I always have to go in person to speak to them because they never answer the phone. A part of the cvs that I do like is their photo center. I can easily upload the photos online and they are printed very fast. They also have deals online for different photos or photo books. Definitely sign up for their rewards because you can get coupons on money off for savings. read more

My mother always picks up her medication from this pharmacy location. She picked up her refill for levothyroxine - which she's been taking for 25 years. She opened the bottle to find red pills inside which was shocking because every bottle before that has had blue small pills inside. She took back the bottle of pills to the pharmacy to see why the pills were different this time. First off, the pharmacists response was " THIS IS CALIFORNIA LAW, we cannot return medication." " You should've checked it before you opened the bottle". But the label said levothyroxine!! Only to find out that they put the wrong medicine in the bottle and labeled it as my mothers refill! When the pharmacist realized their huge mistake, she quickly took the bottle back and gave my mom the correct medication. If my mother had actually taken the pills they gave to her I don't know what her situation would be today. Mistakes like this should never happen because they're playing with patients lives! She saw me waiting at the counter to be helped, but she ignored me and kept stocking the shelves. I had to say, "excuse me, can someone help me?" There were a bunch of ladies there behind the counter. Niri was supposed to be behind the register helping customers. But she told me to wait as she kept on stocking. Finally she came over with a lot of attitude. When I had a question about one of my prescriptions, she rolled her eyes at me and called the pharmacist over. The pharmacy staff are rude and contradictory. Refuse to assist. The worst! They make every task harder by refusing to be kind and attempting to help. I called and left a detailed voicemail with my insurance information over a week ago, received a call back by a representative who asked me why I called. I told her I left my new insurance information on the voicemail and she said "yeah, what do you need". I told her I needed them to run my new insurance for the prescription on hold. She proceeded to tell me nothing was on hold- even though I'd been the day before and left something on hold. She never told me they couldn't take it over the phone. I got text messages saying my prescriptions were ready now. I go to pick up my prescription and they don't have my insurance and now they can't take it in the drive thru.
