This is the Walgreens closest to our home, so unfortunately it's the one we have to use most often. They do scan coupons correctly, but they make couponing much more difficult than it needs to be. Because of that, we end up missing out on rewards and deals. Savannah and Ruby are always friendly, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. However, Andrew is a different experience. He often has a straight face and comes across as unfriendly. His attitude seems to depend on the day, but customer service should be consistent. I stopped by this Walgreens today because I placed my magnet photo to be printed here. I pick this location because I was grabbing food across the street. I put in my magnet photo off the website and it said it would be ready for pickup in about thirty minutes. So I left my house and by the time I arrived to the store, I got an email that it was cancelled. I still walked inside the store to get familiar with where things are if I was to come back here again. The photo department is on the left side of the store and the pharmacy is toward the back. The prices of things will vary depending on what you're looking for but most of the time, it is pricer here than other places from my experience. The guy walked away. I asked him does your website say the passport sales ends at 5? We're here now, and he looks at me and lies to me, "yes we stop doing passports at 5pm." So this location is located in canoga park, the sketchy area of canoga (if you know, you know) there was trash outside, behind the Walgreens's and dumpsters that looked like scavengers were around. Yes there is plenty of parking but the store itself attracts all sorts of people; not just to come here for pharmacy or shopping. I mean it is a pharmacy after all so you just don't know who is going to walk in or hang out in the parking lot. I was a bit intimidated by where I chose to park simply because it was by the side of the Walgreens's, and next to it is a laundry mat and tire spot. There are no walls separating these other businesses and their alleys looked disgusting as well. I got off and walked down the block by myself, just be aware of your surroundings when visiting here is all I can strongly say! There was only one cashier last night and the customer ahead of me held it up because their items weren't scanning and so as I waited, the line grew behind me. Took a good 15 minutes for me to pay for 3 items that didn't take me long to get. Then cashier had the audacity to still say out loud "where did this line come from?" Duh cuz of you silly! read more

Pharmacy is ridiculously slow and understaffed especially on weekends. Allot at least 35 minutes to pick up a prescription.

I would not recommend this Walgreens pharmacy location. I needed to speak with the pharmacy and was repeatedly placed on hold--at least 10 times (and I'm a very patient person). No one ever answered my call; instead, I was simply placed back on hold each time. It was extremely frustrating and made it impossible to get the assistance I needed. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a pharmacy where patients may have important questions about their medications. read more

This place is always a life saver when I don't want to drive all over town to get what I need. The service is always friendly and the place is always well stocked. I really should be checking Walgreens more. They always have the best candy selection and even rare figures if you're a collector like me. Jazwares recently released some new Pokemon figures and we checked the nearby Target and Walmart with no luck. This Walgreens was our last stop before heading home and to our surprise, they had it in stock and it was the only one! It was even in perfect condition which was honestly unbelievable!! It has become my favorite of them all because they have the widest selection of vitamins that I seek like vitamin K and Ashwagandha supplements which seems to be a rare one to have in stock at some of the other locations. I appreciated that they carried the simplest tablet version of multi vitamins for women in the brand that I wanted. On Tuesday My daughter and her friend went to this walgreens to wait for me to pick them up for a while.When they were there they told me that they were harassed by some workers one was described as a woman in her early 50s was a light brunette/ginger and while my kids were in the makeup section she was obviously staring at them in a intense way and asked "Do you need help" which may not be a big deal but there was another lady in the same section as them and said nothing to her,after that she tried to follow them out of the makeup section until they turned a corner.Shortly after that they went to the freezer section then my daughter was taking money out of her bag and was by a woman who is described as out grow black roots with sliverish hair/light platinum blonde mid size and early 30s and asked my daughter if she opened her bag in a rude and unprofessional tone which also is it illegal to open a bag?!So my daughter opened her bag and guess what nothing was in there!The only employee that was kind is described as short,has black hair, 20s and had glasses.And by the way the bathrooms are nasty had unfinished drinks no soap and a nasty smell.If I could give zero stars i would.And they need to deal with that homeless issue! Talk about lazy staff!! Today 1/2/26 4:30 pm I came back to Walgreens because although I got an email that my pictures were ready they were not. I come back an hour later and my 4x4 order was ready in 4x6 paper with a big extra white stripe. I asked him that I needed those to be 4x4. He said they are, I said no they are not, and he went to say it would take time to cut them, told him that I had no paper cutter at home and he had the audacity to tell me "YOU DON'T HAVE SCISSORS"? I am forced to go here for the pharmacy as they will order and get certain meds I take daily. It's getting worse every time though - one time they gave me less than a month supply and another time they forced me to wait until the last minute to pick up (stress !) and this time they claimed I picked up form another pharmacy (no of course I didn't ) and then proceeded to act like I was some kind of person below them and was completely unhelpful. It stressed me out so badly that I had a GI bleed and horrible stomach pain. I am a chronic illness and pain patient and I really don't appreciate this. They need to understand there is a person behind each medicine and we deserve to be treated respectfully. If we didn't need medicine they wouldn't be employed to dispense them. I picked up my prescription and one of my medications was short one pill. This has happened before to me with Walgreens, but I didn't complain. They seemed disinterested when I called. Just drive back and waste your time and gas for their mistake. Apparently it's no big deal for them. Make sure you count your pills to ensure you get your full prescription. read more

If I could give it a 0, I would. Customer service is null. Lately, there is no more "I see 3" I have waited 6 to 10 minutes to get to the cashier in line. There was no attention to opening up another register to get us out faster. When I got to the cashier, I asked her why she didn't call for backup? She responded there'was only two people manding the store. I told her that was bad/poor management. She responded that it was corporate that is not allowing more help. I used to love this Walgreens and that says a lot since people always complain about waiting at the pharmacy no matter which one they go to. This particular store and pharmacy with its new and ridiculously inexperienced pharmacist has dropped from a 5 star to a 1 star review. I was warned by the existing pharmacy assistants that she is difficult and challenging any script that is a controlled substance without looking into how much the drug is prescribed to be taken, how long the person has been on it and if there truly is a MAJOR CONTRAINDICATION as with my meds there is not. Despite my doctor's reviewing my meds monthly and him calling to speak with the pharmacy they are refusing to fill my prescription. It must be too painful for that pharmacist to admit she was wrong. Walgreens is in financial hardship and they make most of their money off the pharmacy so why the store manager and pharmacy support personnel would back such a ridiculous decision is contradictory to customer service, support and retention. My pharmacy plan and the doctors involved have all agreed to write this store off and go elsewhere. Too bad. I had liked them before that awful pharmacist. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy. If I can give a zero, I would cause that is what they deserved. The girl working that counter there has no customer service and don't care to help you. She should be fired cause she apparently doesn't like her job there. Waited 30 minutes in the drive thru before she finally came to tell me that the meds weren't ready. I told her that I called 2 hours ago and they told me that it would be ready in an hour and ask when it will be ready? She told me that it will be another 15 mins. I told her that I waited here for 30 mins and she could of told me that and she walked off and didn't care. The same girl previously did the same thing to me on the previous pick up also but that time when I asked when it will be ready, she told me she doesn't know and that was it. Not only is this pharmacy consistently understaffed and can't handle their work load, but they also VERY REGULARLY will close without even filling the prescription you're waiting for...it's low key dangerous to do that with people and their medications and it blows my mind that the pharmacist here believes this is acceptable behavior. read more

Waited nearly over an hour for a flu vaccine. The pharmacy was empty maybe 2 or 3 people came to fill prescriptions and their drive through wasn't that busy either. The pharmacy employees ignored me for 10 mins before even having me step forward to the window, and then left me waiting for about 20 before getting me the informed consent paper, another 20 before someone came to the window to grab it. Walgreens does not require a mask to enter. They also don't require proof of vaccination. Both actions violate California law. They should be shut down. A woman sat at the pharmacy next to me, with no masks, and when I gave her one, she refused it, claiming it was her right to do so. Ridiculously bad customer service. Needed OTC allergy medicine which was locked up, so I pressed the customer service button which LOUDLY Announces that we need assistance in the allergy aisle. Waited over 15 minutes, no one came. Went up to the pharmacist and asked for assistance, she requested help for us over PA system, waited another 10 minutes, no one came. There were plenty of employees restocking items or at the register, but no one came to help or even to ask us to wait. I don't understand what's wrong with this store. It shouldn't be that hard to get OTC allergy medicine. Either the employees are extremely lazy, or just don't care. Literally ZERO STARS but I have to put something in. Horrible experience here. Three weeks ago I sent a prescription here for the first time after a doctors visit, I had never used this pharmacy before and am new to the area so when I went to pick it up and they needed more insurance information and I had to wait longer, fine. It was frustrating because no one called or let me know anything was wrong, I would've provided the information had I known something was missing. Today I had to have another prescription filled, sent it to this pharmacy because I thought it would be easy since they had all my info. When I went to pick it up 2 hours after the doctor sent it, they said my insurance was expired (it is not). When I showed them my card they said it was no good. I said I was just here 3 weeks ago and got prescriptions filled. She looked again and suddenly it was "good." But of course my prescription was not filled. I had to wait 15-20 minutes. I waited 25 minutes then went around to the drive through again they said it still wasn't ready and I had to come in. I have pneumonia and feel awful, so I was frustrated. I came in they could only fill part of my prescription because they said the doctor must have made a mistake sending one script twice and missed my spacer for my inhaler. Even though I already had the inhaler they refused to give me the spacer even though I had physical paperwork from my doctor with the spacer on it and spacers are readily available online without a script. Literally so horrible. They had the audacity to tell me to call my doctor after I waited for this for 3 hours, well the doctor's office is closed. So frustrating. Worst pharmacy ever. Today, August 8, 2019 my daughter had her ACL repair surgery. My husband and I dropped off her prescription for pain meds at 8:00 am. At 10:00 we get a text message saying the was going to be a delay due to the insurance. My husband and I go back and bring the insurance card and his ID. We sit in Walgreens for another 30 mins.
