I think their positive energy starts with their manager, Thomas, and it shows in how kind and helpful everyone is. The store is consistently clean, well-organized, and always fully stocked. The team is also very accommodating whenever I need help. Honestly, if it weren't for this location, I'd probably avoid CVS altogether, other locations I've visited tend to have much grumpier staff. This one really sets the standard. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I debated posting about this awful event I just experienced at CVS on Ventura Blvd, but thought…read moreupper management should see this and know what occurred. Let me start by saying that Carlos, the store manager that I spoke to at the end, handled the situation beautifully. Prior to that I had walked to the back of the store to the restroom to wash my hands before beginning my shopping. What I saw upon opening the door was the most disgusting mess I had ever seen some human actually do to a bathroom. To say it was horrific is an understatement, and to whomever did this, "What is wrong with you?" I quickly exited and saw a pharmacy employee to my immediate right, telling him what was in there. He mumbled something and pointed forward. I figured I'd find someone else who would actually help. Another employee was walking out of the pharmacy into the hallway by the bathroom, and I explained to her the conditions. What did she do? She told me to go up front and tell someone. My reply was,"I thought you could tell someone or get help, since you work here." Her response to me was, "I work in the pharmacy," to which I replied, "Well I don't work here at all!" I went immediately to the front, asked for the manager, and Carlos was so kind and actually helpful. Shame on these pharmacy employees - who also use that bathroom. So good luck to them today, as they were just heading into their 30-minute lunch break when this all happened. (I could also easily identify these pharmacy employees, if asked, as I've seen them numerous times over the years. Unfortunately I did not get their names.)

I called with a question regarding a prescription that had been canceled after the pharmacist…read morecontacted my doctor. I was never notified of the cancellation, so I called to understand what had happened. At CVS, you need to leave a message and the pharmacist will call you back. They called me back in a timely manner, which is appreciated, However, as the call connected, I overheard the pharmacist making disparaging comments about my voicemail to another employee, and they were both laughing about it. I was shocked and found it unprofessional and disrespectful. When I addressed what I had heard to the pharmacist, the conversation quickly became confrontational. Rather than acknowledging my concern, the pharmacist became defensive, stating that she was the one who was offended - justifying her rude and combative behavior. I couldn't understand why she was the one who was offended (is it because I called out the behavior?) When I asked for her name, she replied only, "Pharmacist." I clarified that I was requesting her actual name, at which point she hung up on me. I immediately contacted corporate to report the interaction. Patients should be treated with professionalism and respect, especially when calling with questions about their medications. A simple apology or professional explanation would have gone a long way. As a result of this experience, I transferred all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy and will not be returning to this location. Very disappointed in the way this pharmacist spoke to me, I hope she doesn't treat people this way on a daily basis.

Since this location is the closest to our house, I've continued shopping here and tried to overlook those experiences. I'm giving 3 stars because there are also employees who provide excellent customer service. Oscar is always friendly and welcoming. He smiles every time I need assistance, especially when the self-checkout isn't working properly. He is patient, helpful, and professional. Brianna is also very kind, as was the younger lady working on the evening of 6/1/26. The positive attitude and customer service from employees like Oscar, Brianna, and the other team members are the reason I'm not giving a lower rating.

Because of that, we end up missing out on rewards and deals. Savannah and Ruby are always friendly, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. However, Andrew is a different experience. I put in my magnet photo off the website and it said it would be ready for pickup in about thirty minutes. So I left my house and by the time I arrived to the store, I got an email that it was cancelled. I still walked inside the store to get familiar with where things are if I was to come back here again. The photo department is on the left side of the store and the pharmacy is toward the back. The prices of things will vary depending on what you're looking for but most of the time, it is pricer here than other places from my experience. I found parking easily and they also have destinated parking spots for curbsides pickup.

Got my refill sent these today, out of nowhere I was told that will not refill it because I get all my meds at the North Hollywood location. Um huh? He was rude and didn't even listen to me. Told me to call my local CVS and tell her to transfer my order and he will send the medication to there. . The second call was the kicker. I call my local pharmacy, she was dumbfounded, told me this prescription was not able to be transferred and that I need a new one from my doctor. geezus, do they speak to each other? SO, I call back Woodland Hills. I asked to speak to a manager, oh guess what, she left..of course. I spoke to some lady who was ruder that the first dude. Now, all of a sudden, they don't have my order anymore, even though I see it on my CVS app. At this point, I am beyond frustrated. Hung up with zero resolution, I then called CVS Caremark, who runs my prescription, she had NEVER heard of CVS doing this. This is still CVS and not a whole different pharmacy. She gets nowhere. You would think they would give me the courtesy of filling this due to being out and NEVER being told this "policy" NOPE, UNWILLING TO HELP ME. At this point, i will be calling my union today to see what other pharmacy is covered by my insurance and I will be transferring out of CVS, This is all due to the 2 "customer service" reps at Woodland Hills.

You've seen the neon that the Tarzana CVS pharmacy is open 24 hours?…read more Don't believe it. Consider it closed between 1 and 4:15 a.m. I've gone in twice around 1:40 a.m. and found the shutters closed. On the first occasion three or four people were waiting for 2:10 a.m., when a sign says someone will be back. My visit wasn't urgent, but I wonder if some of those people were coming from ER. Supposedly, I learned on my second visit (thinking the first closure was an aberration), the pharmacy closes from around 1 to 2:30, reopens for a half-hour, then closes again from 3 to 4 for computer update. Supposedly they reopen at 4, but I remember a time when it was closer to 4:15 before my shuttle-banging got them to open. (I repented my annoyance when I talked with the attendant.) I don't know how they rationalize such dismal service -- if the 1 a.m. closing is for lunch, why can't they have lunch at 3 when they're forced to close for computer update? -- but I do know my current impulse is to seek another pharmacy, even if it forces me to venture out on hot days to get in long air-conditioned lines. PS: I suppose some attendants will say "I'll starve if I have to wait until 3," but I've learned that even a cup of water or a quick nibble of something will appease the hunger. The delay, for me, makes lunch all the better.
