Chris is the absolute guy you want to fix your laptop. Had to visit his shop twice in less than a week because both times I thought I shorted my gaming laptop motherboard board and both times he fixed it, and prices are very very reasonable. Walking into the shop the first time, I seen two GPUs on the front desk and I immediately knew Chris was the right guy for deep internal board repairs. Chris himself is a very informative guy too, he really knows his stuff and takes the time to explain the possible causes of the problems and what he did to fix it. The first time I had to bring in my laptop, I did some personal tweaks to the internals of my laptop and when I put it back together, it would turn on but it wouldn't POST so I assumed I shorted something. When I called other repair shops to explain my issue, they all assumed the same thing and said it might need a whole motherboard replacement until one recommended Chris. The day after I brought it into him, turns out there was just debris in the RAM slot and Chris got it back up and running! Second time, which was literally 3 days later, I was cleaning the inside of my laptop and when I reconnected the battery connector I saw a spark and my laptop behaved the same as last time, turns on but no display so this time I was sure of a short. Brought it into him again and the same day he called me saying he tested everything, nothing was shorted and all it needed was a BIOS reset. Chris didn't even charge me the second time too! Probably out of pity but I digress haha. I needed a keyboard replaced on my Dell G15 gaming laptop. A section of letters was not working. I had splashed a very small amount of coffee on it. So little I never connected it to why my keyboard wasn't working. A section of letters was no longer working. Newer laptops often use a palmrest/keyboard assembly that is attached to the laptop chassis using plastic rivets. It's a good thing I did not try to replace it myself, because I never would have known that. Chris, being the expert and computer repair man, was familiar with what needed to be done and how to do it correctly. In short, he did a flawless, fantastic job. Chris is terrific. My computer kept turning itself off after a few minutes. I tried diagnosing the problem myself but gave up after a few weeks. Chris figured out the problem in one day (bad hard drive). I was bummed and thought I'd lose all my family pictures and videos, but Chris managed to extract all the data from the bad drive and installed a new solid state drive. Chee Hu! Saved my life! And man the performance on the solid state drive is clearly faster than my old drive. His fees were very reasonable. Very patient and helpful when I called about the broken camera glass on my dad's Galaxy J3V. He gave me a starting estimate and suggested just replacing the phone because of the repair cost. I knew about these guys from the Yellow Pages and dropped in. I told the younger guy about my laptop and he said bring it in. He said I needed a new keyboard, CHECK and then an overhaul to make it run better. UMM OK. With the cost, I had to decide whether it was better to just get a new one, but I was told that my Toshiba was a good model, why not repair it. When I got it back, the keyboard was fine. After I got it home, about a week later I had to call my expensive IT guy to come over and look at the same laptop. He told me I had a REALLY bad virus and why had I taken off the security system that he had installed and that I had paid for. I hadn't-it came back with some other anti-virus icon on it, but it didn't work. He took my laptop and spent about 5 hours fixing it and installing another Anti-Virus on it. I am not saying they put a virus on my computer but it was unprotected when I got it home. The main reason I took it in is because I am not that good with techie things. The keyboard WAS working fine, but now is acting up. I guess it could be something else, but I have to keep putting the cursor back where it belongs. It jumps all over the place. Best Computer/Electronic shop on the island. BAR NONE!!! This isn't my first time coming here. Chris, has fixed 3 of my computers in the past. The most recent one, which was my most expensive laptop, was repaired by Chris after being sent to 2 other PC repair shops on the island. The other shops recommended that I just buy a new computer. I don't think they even opened it up to look at what the problem was. I would've seen CyberLife before any of those other 2 shops, but they were on vacation. I had to find another shop or buy another laptop. Did not want to do the latter only because my laptop was just over 2 years old. Chris spent a few days inspecting my laptop, meticulously I might add, and found that this little tiny piece was the issue that cause my laptop from turning on. I seriously thought I had to replace my motherboard or something. Nope, Chris fixed it. Saved me from spending another $2k on a new workstation laptop. Thank you CyberLife PC. I bought a second hand laptop here without knowing that the battery couldn't hold a charge for at least an hour unplugged. It was priced at about 130$ though I'm not looking at my receipt right now . But the main reason why my review is low is because of the policy that he has with returns . I don't agree with what he calls buyers remorse . In my opinion it's called customer service . He said he doesn't give out refunds since my labtop isn't new. I don't know if it's because he's a small business and he's not making enough due to the pandemic right now but that's not honest customer service in my opinion . My mid 2011 iMac was running soooo slow i was beyond irritated. I thought i needed to just upgrade my RAM that was only 4gb total. I called Mac Made Easy in Kailua and they quoted me $90 / 4gb and $180 / 2-4gb installed! They can't sell me the memory by itself, they have to install it. Then I called H power computing, and told them what MME quoted me. The guy said, "What?!" Now Im thinking that they would be cheaper. After some small talk I agreed to bring my computer there. When i arrived he mentioned that my HD may b going bad and by upgrading to a SSD it will dramatically improve the speed of the computer. So i said OK and give me a quote Here's the quote: $130/4gb ea. installed and i wanted 2. I said, "What?!" Yeah, they were more expensive than MME. 480gb SSD, $600. Because I wanted it rushed, it was an extra $100. Total came to around $960 + tax! That would mean me paying close to $1000! I said, "thanks, but no thanks" Then i called Cyberlife. Cameron quoted me some reasonable price over the phone and i drove there right away if i wanted my mac finished the next day. Cameron suggested that i just upgrade my HD to SSD and see if that will improve the speed. Because i don't do any movie editing or photo shop, upgrading the RAM won't b necessary. So i agreed to change out my HD to a 480gb SSD. It was completed the next day for only $345 including tax! WOW! way cheaper than the other guys. I know price is not everything but the quotes were ridiculous. I tested my mac at the shop before taking it home and it was AMAZINGLY FAST! When i got home my memory stick that i bought from Amazon came in the mail, (when i ordered it, i thought it will be another week before i received it) and i installed (2) 8gb sticks, $54! Now it has a total of 20gb of ram! Just loving it! Thanks to Cameron and Chris at Cyberlife! Will definitely go to them if I need their help again. My desktop computer no longer booted up. I read some good reviews about several repair shops, but I brought it to CyberLife PC since it's close to my home in Kalihi. The owner Chris was able to check my machine right away, and just a couple hours later called me to say he diagnosed the problem and would finish it by tomorrow. I was able to pick it up the next day. Everything worked out smoothly. Chris is professional and courteous, and he does very good thorough repair and maintenance work, including updating Windows and applications and optimizing the system. CyberLife PC also has many refurbished computers for sale on display. As other reviews mentioned, parking is scarce nearby, so if you don't mind lugging your machine for some distance through the Liliha neighborhood, this is a place I'd recommend. read more

I live about 3-5 blocks away from here and I am happy that there is this pc shop serving the Liliha neighborhood. I had an old imac g5 that I was trying to restore and did so much research into soldering and replacing capacitors. Should have just brought it to these guys... cause I botched the job anyway. They were very helpful and the owner in the back was actually very knowledge about Mac assemblies and pretty much knew everything I had researched online. He's the one that informed me that my soldering had pretty much ruined the board, haha (those jobs require a lot of finesse!). I ended up buying another, complete motherboard online (because they don't keep stock for old, old motherboards) and bought some parts and RAM from them. They also sell lots of parts and accessories. Refurbished computers (windows and mac), monitors, housing, enclosures, cooling fans, routers. I'm very saavy with computers, but if you're not, you should definitely get to know these guys so they can help you out with viruses, upgrading memory to quicken your computer, or getting you a new computer with better specs. read more

I have been going to Cyber Life for the last three computers I had. They always gave me excellent service and got the job done quickly and correctly. They did a great job on my daughters HP laptop when it was sent in under it's warranty and they didn't do the job right at HP in the mainland and Cyber Life found the problem and corrected it and it's still working to this day. My daughter told me her laptop was running faster and better than when she bought it new at CompUSA. A year later her keyboard went out and they managed to get another keyboard and replaced the whole keyboard and fine-tuned her laptop for 30 bucks you can't beat a deal like that and its still working to this day. Her laptop only took about 2 hours before they called me up and told me it was finished ready to go. They did replace the keyboard because it was a slightly different color just a little bit but it look like it came with the laptop. They fixed a desktop for me, another HP it was corrupted, it took them a few extra days but they managed to redo the whole thing and it came out working great, with a great price. Since then I got another brand new HP computer for the past 3 years its been working great, now it has some big problems. I'm bringing that computer into Cyber Life today and find out how good they still can do the job. I'm sure they can do it or I wouldn't be bringing another computer back to them for repair. I will update this post after I get this computer back which I feel they can do in a couple of days, they seem to do a great job everytime I take a desktop or laptop to them. Customer service does need a little bit better help in that department but overall they're great!!! read more

This should honestly be the first place you go to if you have computer problems....even if it seems like there's no hope in breathing life back into your machine. I actually got referred to Chris by another PC shop after they weren't able to help fix my Asus ROG laptop... (I spilled fruit punch on it like a dummy).... another opinion sounded great before I REALLY had to purchase a brand new computer. I literally had zero expectations at this time as things were looking quite grim, but Chris gave me a call in less than a week with news that he was able to get the laptop back up and running! After I took it home, I noticed that some of the keys weren't working (which makes sense when you spill sugary drinks on the keyboard by accident) so Chris had to order a new keyboard to replace the bad one. I brought it back to the shop for him to install it. He charged me for the cost of the keyboard and no additional service fee after the initial cost for fixing my laptop. My Asus ROG was fully functional after the keyboard replacement!Lesson learned... don't have drinks close to computers! read more
