I got home and could not find the hubcap and the store was closed. The next morning the store manager first tried to blame me and said it fell off on the way home (that has never happened on this vehicle). He then told me to order one and come back in for a refund. The original hubcaps are near $100. The manager then said he will order some for $16 and call me. I even accepted the aftermarket hubcap that will not match but its been over a week and they seem to care less about it.

I said at least visually inspect the surfaces because he said there was a caliper test they do as well. I thought well maybe they'll cut corners because of the heat so I sat down outside under a tree with my eyes trained on the car. BINGO! The tech. took the rear tire on the passenger side off and the tech was tapping on the brake drum with a sledge hammer to what I thought was to help remove the drum cover. I never saw him take off the drum cover on that side and on the driver's side they never removed the rear tire at all. Despite that they told me my brakes were in good shape. I couldn't believe they were telling me this despite not seeing them do the work to be able to view the brake shoes, hardware, and drums. I call that fraud not to mention pretty dangerous.

I had to sneak out of the office early to just make it to the appt on time at 5 p.m. This cost me money as I had business at work that I couldn't get to in order to make it to the appt on time. I sneak out of the office early, fight rush hour traffic for 40 minutes to get to Firestone East on time at 5 p.m. I approach the customer service rep at the front desk and he asks for my phone number, name, and home address and then drops the bomb that he doesn't have me on the books, that my appt was never actually scheduled! No appt was ever scheduled! This was incredibly, incredibly frustrating as I sneaked out of work costing me money and also fought rush hour traffic for 40 minutes just to get there on time for this customer service rep to tell me nothing was ever scheduled. I'm not sure if the customer service rep guy (he was little short man) was lying to me in order for him to allow himself to somehow leave early that evening or if the guy I scheduled the appointment with 2 weeks earlier actually did fail to put it officially on the books. The customer service rep even asked me if I knew the name of the guy who I scheduled the appt with 2 weeks ago. Of course I didn't, I thought they were running a tight ship (how dumb of me) and that I didn't need to.

My mechanic in Port Orchard, Washington could only suggest it was the A/C relay, but baring that it would need to be brought in. I stopped by NAPA. The clerk listened and advised that, no, it was likely not the relay. I bought it anyway. My wife pointed out, two doors down from NAPA, the Midas reader board posting "We fix air conditioners today". After checking with Kevin McNeil, he set us up for an inspection , had our air conditioner recharged, and got us on our way in no time. Good friendly service! I had scheduled my car for a battery replacement solely for their policy of if you buy a battery…read morefrom Walmart, the install is free because for my car you have to remove the tire to get to the battery and most other places would charge labor. We called multiple times prior to scheduling an appointment asking if that would be an issue or an extra charge and were told it would be free. My cars battery is dead so we had to portable jump start the vehicle to get it to the Walmart for the appointment. We had stopped the car off around 3:30pm for a scheduled 4pm appointment. We dropped off early so we could go run errands and come back when it was done. We received a phone call at 4:45pm telling us that in order for them to change the battery, the driver front tire needed to be removed but according to them, the tread wasn't legal for them to put back on after the battery replacement and we would need a new tire. We replaced the tires on the car a little over a year ago so we thought it was unnecessary but we said no problem, we will pay for the tire. They agreed and resumed service, or at least that what's we believed. We did not get a text notification saying the service had started until 6:41pm and the auto department closes at 7pm. They called us again at 6:51pm saying they could not get the tire off due to seized bolts and they did not have the tools to break it. At this point we are mad and went back to pick up the key and was told to pick up at the FRONT customer service desk. We arrived at 7:15pm, stood in line for 15 mins at the service desk only to be told the key is back in the automotive dept. We spoke with two people from the service department and a coach, after looking at the tread on our tires and it was FINE. Again, these tires were put on maybe 14 months ago. We truly believe they realized they had to remove the tire to get to the battery and decided they didn't want to do the job so came up with ridiculous excuses and gave us the run around and wasted my time. The automotive employee was also smiling and laughing when we were expressing our frustration which was extremely unprofessional. NEVER get service here unless you want low quality technicians handling your vehicle that do not want to put in any effort.

When I came back to pick up my vehicle, I waited another 15 minutes before receiving acknowledgement, much less service. In that time, 3-4 mechanics walked right by myself, and the others waiting to be helped. I caught eye contact with the manager, who before looking up was dragging his feet, tossing a trinket in the air. I'm sure he could could see the frustration in my demeanor. He approached and asked if he could do anything. I said that all I needed were my keys so I could leave. He proceeded to say that he could not help me because he was supervising, and that I would have to wait until the ONE counter employee came back in. WHAT?! I'm sure in the amount of time you spent dawdling around the room, tossing a gadget in the air, you could have taken care of a few people in line. If the MANAGER himself was rude, offered poor service and excuses, it will tell you a lot about how the rest of the staff is going to be run. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN AND I WILL SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH ANY AND ALL WHO INQUIRE.

He was rude and snippy and told me I would ruin his "$100,000 machine" with this repair. And maybe I should go and talk to the friend who helped me in the first place for ideas on how to fix it.
