Found my desired tires using tire rack comparisons then ordered through Walmart. Had to wait on hold for over 20 minutes to order but it's tire season and the local store gets credit if they place the order. Nobody called as they said they would when tires arrived but I finally called them. Install was least expensive in town. Staff were friendly and no upsell BS. Scott in particular was great to work with. They don't take appointments so I waited one hour before they could start on my car. It took another 45 minutes for install. Killed time on my laptop at their subway--decent WiFi. Payment was efficient and I was on my way. Later that night, gunshots rang out at BP gas next door where I stopped earlier. I'd not leave my car in Walmart lot or linger around the store.

We called multiple times prior to scheduling an appointment asking if that would be an issue or an extra charge and were told it would be free. My cars battery is dead so we had to portable jump start the vehicle to get it to the Walmart for the appointment. We had stopped the car off around 3:30pm for a scheduled 4pm appointment. We dropped off early so we could go run errands and come back when it was done. We received a phone call at 4:45pm telling us that in order for them to change the battery, the driver front tire needed to be removed but according to them, the tread wasn't legal for them to put back on after the battery replacement and we would need a new tire. We replaced the tires on the car a little over a year ago so we thought it was unnecessary but we said no problem, we will pay for the tire. They agreed and resumed service, or at least that what's we believed. We did not get a text notification saying the service had started until 6:41pm and the auto department closes at 7pm. They called us again at 6:51pm saying they could not get the tire off due to seized bolts and they did not have the tools to break it. At this point we are mad and went back to pick up the key and was told to pick up at the FRONT customer service desk. We arrived at 7:15pm, stood in line for 15 mins at the service desk only to be told the key is back in the automotive dept. We spoke with two people from the service department and a coach, after looking at the tread on our tires and it was FINE. Again, these tires were put on maybe 14 months ago. We truly believe they realized they had to remove the tire to get to the battery and decided they didn't want to do the job so came up with ridiculous excuses and gave us the run around and wasted my time. The automotive employee was also smiling and laughing when we were expressing our frustration which was extremely unprofessional. NEVER get service here unless you want low quality technicians handling your vehicle that do not want to put in any effort.

And honestly, if I were a woman, I wouldn't touch this place with a ten foot pole as once there was person at the counter who treated me like I was a "dumb blonde female" when I asked a question about part availability and for confirmation that I would be buying the correct part. Look, I'll admit my knowledge about cars isn't the greatest, even after having worked at a dealership. However, I find it discouraging, and frankly disgusting, that you're going to make the assumption that everyone who comes up to you to ask a question doesn't know one iota about cars, male or female. Whether or not this person still works there, I honestly don't know as I haven't seen him the last few times I went in. However, if you want to not automatically be treated like an idiot, I would suggest traveling further to visit NAPA, Advanced Auto Parts, or AutoZone, where each time I've visited these places, I was at least treated with enough respect and not made to feel like I was interrupting the person's daily task of doing nothing.

What is it about winter that causes headlights to burn out? Why can't it happen when it's warm…read moreenough to stand outside and replace it? Anyway, that was the issue that caused me to stop in here today. Luckily it was a brilliant sunny Sunday and even somewhat warm, so I decided to strike while the iron was hot. Many other people were having the same thought today, so there was a little bit of a line at the registers. Not a problem, as they were fully staffed with at least five people manning the helm. I say manning, but one person was womanning. That was nice to see. The line I was in moved quickly, and the guy who helped me was super efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly looked up the part I needed and explained my option$. He also suggested an additional product to help guard against moisture, something I didn't know about, and for $1.50 extra I went for it. I also signed up for their rewards program, which besides earning you $ off, keeps track of all your purchases and makes returns very easy if necessary. I must say the experience at this branch of this company far exceeds my prior experience at the one on E. Washington Ave. from a couple of years ago. Four stars because for five stars you'd have to wash my car and buy me lunch, too. :-p But I can't think of one negative aspect of my visit today.

If I could give zero starts I would! Awful customer…read moreservice, awful staff, and no help. I called this location (as well as others) they told me the part I needed was in stock. I asked them if I could pick it up in the morning. They took down my info and said "we've made a quote for you and they will be able to help you out". This was a lie. When I came in the lady who "helped" me informed me this part doesn't exist in store, there's no call or quote on file and everything I did lastnight was all made up. I asked multiple times to check or see what may have happened. But nothing. No help, just left sad and empty handed. I called a neighboring location and they helped me out, they got the part ordered from Stoughton and have it in a hour. Seriously wish this store could have had some helpful services, but I would never recommend anyone to come here after dealing with that.
