I have loved online shopping for as long as I can remember. However, I recently moved about a mile away and wanted some boots. I couldn't find prices I Iiked online and when I came in I found a darn good pair of street bike boots for $60(!) About six weeks later, they had a top notch (house brand again) pair of ventilated boots for the same price and actually allowed me to return the six week old boots for full price. What?! They have an amazing satisfaction guaranteed return policy and that's why they get the extra star. I've also since returned a pair of gloves that I tried out for about two weeks that were too tight and again got a full refund. I have since purchased quite a few things there, the prices are competitive and the staff has been friendly and helpful. What more could you ask? read more

I get to Cycle Gear several times a year for basic things like chain lube, the occasional garment need like a balaclava or gloves, tire gauge and the like. There's nothing overly fancy about the gear, though if you're looking for higher end stuff you can definitely find it here as well, like Dianese, Alpinestars, Arai and Shoei. I've never really had a negative experience at this store, the staff has always been friendly, accommodating, and willing to help or just chat for a bit. A good place to shop for your basic motorcycling needs, really. read more

I don't ride so I was here for a somewhat different reason. I will be working at a Fishing Resort in Alaska for about 3 months and I have searched everywhere for WOMEN'S rainproof pants. I sent back a few pairs that I bought online and I had not been able to find any that were for women or under $120.. I would have spent over $100 if I was able to find a decent pair but I couldn't find any that were worth it. I finally called up cycle gear and the guy who answered was excellent. He was able to give me more information than I even needed over the phone. They gave me excellent customer service in the store and they had WOMEN'S RAIN PROOF pants that were good quality and they actually fit! They were also very reasonably priced.. plus I found out at the register that they were on sale for $25 and had a 1 year warranty. I am happy! read more

I bought my first helmet in the store 5 years ago. They are the only store I will buy my motorcycle gear from in the valley. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable about their products because most of them are riders. They have always listened to what I need. They don't try to pressure me. I had purchased a UClear headset that was poorly made. I paid over 300 for it. The purchase was out of it's warranty period, but because the product was poorly made they agreed to work out a replacement that was more than fair. Great Experience today at Cycle Gear in Phoenix Rode my Bike from Prescott to buy a pair of Motorcycle pants today . I called the store yesterday and spoke with Garrett who told me about my options on pants . He was so knowledgeable about the products that I felt confident enough to make the ride . Sure glad I did . I was greeted outside by Garrett who was speaking with another employee at the time but dropped what he was doing to help me . I went into cycle gear today with my mother to return a motorcycle helmet that she had just bought 4 days ago. She hadn't worn it and was looking to return it. We handed the boy at the Counter her receipt and explained why we wanted to return. With out even looking at the receipt he bluntly said "we have a 7day exchange". She asked where this was stated because she was not informed of the policy and it was not in her receipt and he pointed up and rudely said "there." He was a younger kid about mid 20's with dark hair and just under 6ft. He didn't even try to offer a solution. Horrible customer service.. I pulled into the parking lot at 7:55 when they close at 8pm. The man inside ran over and locked the door right in front of me when all I needed was an oil filter for my bike and would have taken 5 mins or less. I would give negative stars if I could. I went in last weekend to purchase/look for a helmet, jacket and gloves. I spent 45 minutes in there looking at various items and trying on helmets. No one that worked there ever looked in y direction or said "hi". I left and bought a jacket online and a helmet gloves, tee shirt at the helmet store on 35th ave. I can walk to cycle gear from my house and drove out of my way and spent good $$$ at a place way more deserving than cycle gear. I'm not sure because I'm a female or because I didn't come in on my bike. Either way it's inexcusable. read more

Been in this store a half a dozen times and consistently receive horrible customer service. It's bad enough that the sale items they advertise in their mailer are seldom in stock or of limited sizes, colors, etc. but what gets me furious is the lack of customer attention.During my most recent visit, I literally walked around the store for 20 minutes before one of the guys working the counter even acknowledged I was there. It's not that they were busy with other customers. They were congregating around the register chatting it up with a couple of guys that I think were friends of theirs. After experiencing service like this each and every time I visit, I will not be back and will discourage as many people as I know from choosing to do their business there. read more

I took my son to the store to buy his first helmet. Like me he has a hard to fit head. We did measurement of his head before so at least we had a place to start. My 11 year old son was finicky and tried on many helmets before finding the one he wanted. The staff that helped me was patient and answered all my questions as I needed. He was not pushy but followed our lead and was there whenever we needed him. They were pleasant to deal with. We will defiantly go back. Very bad customer service. Told us it would be 170$ for two tires, got there and it was way more. The guy told us the person on the phone was new and he couldn't wave any fees because of that. Ended up paying 230$ if I had known that I wouldn't have waisted my time or money on this place. Just terrible. Will never do business again with them. read more

This review is for the N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix location. They have a pretty big selection of riding gear for street bikes and cruisers, somewhat limited for dirt. Probably the largest selection of jackets for women than anywhere else I've been. Most of the "off brand" items are their own brand like Bilt and Sidici, but they also carry Alpinestars, Arai, Shoei and the like. The location suggests the area is more working class than snobby scottsdale, so their inventory and pricing reflects the value of their products, unlike Go AZ. Not that this is a bad thing, it actually is a good thing. I have brought a lot of riding gear and assorted paraphernalia over the decades of riding, and I tend to buy "middle of the road" quality. Not because I can't afford to buy high priced items, but honestly, after a few riding seasons, your gear is pretty beat up, smelly or warn out (or, if you are like me, I don't tend to keep my bikes very long, so I purchase a new "outfit" to match the bike and/or riding style). The staff is top notch, gives it to you straight, has answers to your questions, or knows who to ask for the answer. Their stock levels have always been high for all the items that I have purchased there. Just because you don't see something on the shelf or floor, good chance they have it "next door". It will be interesting to see what happens to this store now that they have a new owner who also owns Revzilla. read more

Im heartbroken. I loved this store, bought everything here. Riding gear, tires, specialty tools, brake pads, etc. Unfortunately their warranty program for tires is just sub par. After noticing a safety issue with my 2 month old rear tire, I took it in only to be turned away because the tire was not "slashed or punctured" so I guess physically deformed does not qualify for a warranty. Could be my fault, could be an instillation error. I'm just disappointed that for all the money I've spent here there is no "good faith" with loyal customers. I'm hesitant now because I have other items under warranty with them, and a situation like this can't help but make me feel like I was scammed out of a few more bucks. I'm not saying don't shop here but rather look into the extent of the warranties they offer compared to other stores or shops. read more

I normally buy online, but this store has changed that. Their prices are great, the same as online or better, and when you don't know something the staff can help. Avery asked if I need help, and as I said no, he kindly gave me my space. When I was ready to make a decision and asked for help he genuinely exceeded my expectations. Very knowledgeable, and even filled in a few blanks I hadn't thought to ask. I've been riding my whole life and still learned something. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've read the reviews and agree with some. I went to the phoenix location on Cave creek road. Drove there from 90 miles away on a Sunday when they were scheduled to open at 10. The worker was waiting outside due to the manager needing to come in and open and being about 1 hour away. Needless to say I was pretty miffed. When the store did open around 11 ish, the guys were super nice to me, nearly did 1:1 with me! Not only that, but the guy game me insane discounts. The leather jacket I bought is so NOT working and I threw away receipt, but I called and they are HAPPY to help me return it or whatever I need. I am happy about this for sure. read more

Good gear at descent prices with good monthly sales. Staff are pretty knowledgeable. Changed my front tube in 10 min for $15. The only downside is limited selection of parts (ex $46 sparkplug for 07 250crf) so I still have to go to honda store, but that's ok and expected. read more

I am not trying to be rude, but some people have no business working in retail. If it wasn't for the manager Jason I would probably return my purchase and go elsewhere. I have never felt so rushed to be rung up as soon as I decided on an item as I was by the older two employees working on Saturday. I was in to buy a helmet and some other stuff for my son for his new quad. I was greeted by an older gentlemen who took me right to some cheap helmets. Once I picked one I wasn't informed about goggles or gloves or anything else my son would need. Then at the register an older lady started ringing me up and then proceeded to have a very loud and unnecessary conversation with the older guy. This is where Jason stepped in and told the lady to focus and "let's take care of the customer in front of us first" as I was about to leave Jason approached me and apologized and asked how my time in the store went. I explained why I had come in and he asked if "I had found everything i was looking for?" I told him I felt rushed and like a sale and not a customer. He took me aside and went over everything my son would need, asking me questions, and offering several suggestions. I told him I had to go but would return because I felt he cared about my son having the right stuff and how he made me feel valued. Man! These guys are great! I love that they are so personable and down-to-earth. They actually take the time to tell you about the products they are selling just so that you are well-informed prior to making a purchase. I specifically went to Cycle Gear to purchase the freeze out gear and get sized for a helmet. While I was there they even educated me about different types of riding gear for maximum safety. I worked with Andrew this morning in returning some boots that went bad before their time. He took a look at them, decided that he could warranty them and found a replacement set of boots in my size.
