Dude at the desk was extremely rude for touching a bike in a bike shop. No need to talk to me like I'm an animal while hitting your vape to get your point across. Everything is so close together and I watched one employee practically smashing one bike into another. These people clearly need an ego check. Don't go here if you want a great experience. I have brought my Yamaha Scooter here a couple of times and I have to say the service dept has take. Amazing care of me. My first trip was for a recall so no charge, but they still took great care of my scooter. I came back later for a new gauge cluster after mine had a failure. Not only did they spend a lot of time troubleshooting my issues since I thought it was related to the recall work, a fuel pump replacement. But after they realized it was they cluster they took very good care of my on the cost. I know they had to have spent a long time looking but the cost sure didn't reflect this. I would highly recommend this service dept for your power sport needs. I would be happy to not only recommend them, but if needed I will gladly bring my items here for service. read more

I don't even know where to start with this place. I've had nothing but an awful experience with this place for the past year and a half, they have the most incapable and unknowledgeable service and repair department, you can never call without being on hold for 5+ minutes, they don't stock any good tires, and their lead times and pricing are both insanely high, don't expect to give them your bike and get it back within the next week and a half. and last time I did get my bike back they left is HORRIBLY dirty and grease and oil everywhere all over my plastics. besides all of those points their staff is extremely rude and act like absolute children and treat you like a child when speaking with them. I will never EVER step foot into this place again and I'll tell every single person I can possibly warn to stay away at all costs. read more

i Turned my quad in about a year ago because it wasn't running right. Brought it in and they just did a carb clean. Still didn't run right and was told the technician would get back to me in a week... four months later got a call and said the bosses almost impounded my quad And had no idea what I wanted done to the quad. Very poor communication and understanding of how to fix atv/quads. Very poor management. Go to someone you know before you waste your time and money on these people. they Also installed a fuel line that I didn't ask for to be installed And am being charged for it. I dropped off my Burgman 400, explained all the problems I was having. The person that signed me in took lengthy notes on the computer. My Burgman was running very rough at low acceleration 15 to 25mph. I needed 2 new tires installed and the brakes are original from 2006. They make some noise when stopping. When I finally called them to check on it they were unable to find the notes from when I dropped it off. I explained to the person on the phone what was going on. I picked it up 2 weeks later. Still runs rough, brakes are still making noise. I supplied the new tires and got charged $387.00 just to have 2 tires changed. Would have cost me $160.00 pretty much anywhere else. Their tech said I had a fouled spark plug. I replaced that less than 500 miles before they got it. Then the tech said he couldn't get it to run rough. There is no way they test rode the bike. Bought a bike there January 3rd first time I rode it it broke down. Fuel pump went out took them 3 weeks to come get it to fix it. They covered the labor but I had to cover the part 600 bucks. Then it took about 25 phone calls and 3 months for me to get the title. I literally just got the title 3 days ago. I will never spend another dollar there. Oh and the kicker when I picked up from being fixed the guy tells me earlier he took it outside and it started raining but he didn't bother to bring it back inside he just left it out in what he called a torrential down pour. Yasmin was awesome. She spent over a solid hour talking me through different helmets, head sizes, shapes, colors, etc., until we narrowed the wall down to one helmet in one price bracket, and another in a slightly higher bracket. Came back a few days later and bought the nicer helmet and am so happy with it. They do work on commision here, so if a salesperson spends a lot of time with you and you come back later to buy, please keep working with the sales person who put forth their best effort to help you. Jessie took me out to look at used motorcycles while I was there with recommendations based off my priorities for my next motorcycle, and answered questions I had about different brands/models and narrowing down the best option for my price range. This was with him knowing I'm not going to buy for a while. Couldn't be happier with my first experiences with this shop. read more

I stopped in here after leaving the Harley Davidson store down the street, and wanted to see what things they had. what they had was many items for motorcycle riders be it import or American they had parts an accessories for it all I was able to get a ram mount to hold my cellular device and A quick install battery charger that also doubles as a cellular device charger. the staff was very helpful they even came out to my motorcycle to make sure that the ram mount would fit I thought that was going above and beyond. how they did it was very respectful even though I ride a bike different than they do they treated me very well and I've gone back several times since then. I can only comment on the service department as that's the only area of the store I've patronized. I've dealt with Chris, the service manager, for probably ten years. Chris is professional without being condescending. I am perfectly comfortable putting my bikes on his care, despite there being a dealership 20 miles closer to me that I drive by to come to him. read more

No one greeted me at the door. I had to walk to the back where the sales manager, who didn't seem to be doing anything, pointed out another guy who appeared to be working with customers already. This guy barely looked me in the eye and talked like he had a blow habit. Also kept saying the bikes were, for instance, 2700 when the price was actually 2799, wouldn't disclose the tax rate or other extras so I could genuinely assess how much everything would cost. Just got a very weird, weasely feeling from the whole experience. read more

I would stay away from the service department here for sure. I took my Honda in to get the carbs rebuilt and a new battery. This was in early spring, had to jump start bike with new battery, rode bike home, engine still missing like when I took in. Thought it was old gas. Tried to start bike next day battery dead wouldn't take a charge. So, they never test drove bike. After a few rides with a new battery, same engine problems. By that time the 1 month warranty was up and the service dept. supervisor made it sound like this was my fault - "tough luck". I wound up taking to dealer to get the carbs cleaned properly. It runs great now. . I will never go back to Cycle Specialties in Fairfield. read more

Went in to try on a particular brand of helmet just to size it, pretty sure they wouldn't have the specific design I wanted - they had literally just gotten it in six hours earlier, and were super helpful in grabbing the size I needed and making sure it fit right. Also needed a specific pair of gloves, that they didn't have in stock, but helped with sizing and then ordered them for me. Only minor complaint was that I told them the price I'd found online that was a few bucks cheaper and they didn't offer to match it. Staff was really nice and chatted with us about our bike, etc. Would definitely return. read more

When I got it back someone noticed and told me the rims were jacked up which they were. They're refusing to cooperate in any way and they're trying to blame me for the cause. I've been religiously advocating Cycle Specialties since last year when I bought my first bike (Suzuki Boulevard S40). Sales (Steve) folks are great, parts people (Chris B.) are helpful, and the service bay gents are fantastic (Chris and Jason). They take time to educate me, they don't treat me like an idiot (not everyone is into equal gender respect in the motorcycle community) and more importantly they exceed my expectations every single time. This time around, Jason was very helpful in handling my yearly service (preventative maintenance), I love my bike, they help me keep it in great shape, and he's happy to help with other questions as they arise with a generously informative phone call. I've been there to get quickly a replacement battery for my Concours 10. I paid on their website then called them to make sure the battery was in stock as indicated by the website. When I showed up later the same day, they had hard time to find my order and they said that it takes a couple of days to get it, a 22 mi round trip for nothing, thanks! They did sent an email two days later saying the battery had been filled and charged and was ready for pickup. I went there and brought back home the battery in its box. 24 hours later I pulled the battery from the box: the expected YUASA genuine item it was - great! - but the battery level was under the plates on both ends compartments - bad: no acid top off during and after the charging. So, time to get some fresh sulfuric acid solution from a local auto store and I am back in the garage. I opened one of the plugs to make the top off on low elements and got a big splash of acid vapors on my face, torso, and arms. Luckily I am old enough to wear reading glasses and it probably saved my sight. Large rinse outside, new T-shirt, then back into business to make the top off, installation and run. MY TAKE ON THIS: These guys denied any wrong doing, since they DON'T KNOW that a battery should be vented (either top plugs and/or venting tube) during charge, and the level be topped off during and after the charge. If they cannot charge a battery properly, what about the rest of their maintenance work ?? read more

unbelievable really. waited days to be able to pick up the brand new bike we purchased only for them to yell us that in order to take it home we first had to go to a meeting scheduled in 15 minutes in a completely different location that they hadn't said anything about prior to and then when we got there informed us that we needed both parents signatures not just one. so the business managed to leave out the part where there was a meeting we had to be at and the fact that two parents needed to be there. will not be doing business here again ever. if i could give it 0 stars i would. read more

I used to enjoy just visiting this motorcycle dealer, unfortunately those days are long gone. When cycle specialties was purchased nearly some four or five years ago I figured expansion might be a good thing however, through the years I have noticed a decline in the family atmosphere that you get when your visiting an older establishment. I'm a very nostalgic fellow and appreciate the friendly and low pressure sells aggressive attitudes of dealerships but recently for this establishment that's all changed. The new sale's manager seems to have changed somewhat but for the most part is about as friendly and receptive as an distant relative. Although this might seem minute this preconceived notation has some how diluted the atmosphere around the sales department. Listen, I know the idea behind sales is to do just that but it's not a necessity to purchase a motorcycle, it's a luxury. With that being said I enjoy having a motorcycle because I enjoy just the whole freedom of the experience and I enjoy having a choice of whom I confer with to get what I want but, of you can't even feel somehow connected with your salesperson why would I enjoy spending thousands of my hard earned cash at an establishment that see's me as money for their numbers rather than an investment for the future. Cause let's face it there's more to a dealership than sales like for instance, service, parts, and ungrades. So I ask you a question if you had a business and you wanted repeat customers and business referrals what would you want for your business. I can tell you this, I didn't find it here. read more

They have a good selection and I found a bike i wanted, but they didnt want to let me use my credit card for a down payment because they didn't want to oay the 3 percent to process. They finally agreed to use 500 on the card when i was wanting to use 2000, which i figured would be an issue getting financed, and it was. I went to another shop and they let me use the full amount and I walked away with a 2019 instead of a 2013. What actually disturbed me the most was the sales guy asked me what my disability was because i was a veteran getting service connected payment every month. Long story short is I should have went to the other place first and I will not recommend buying a bike from this location. I kind of felt discriminated against by the salesman, and they ran my credit again to another finance company without my approval, after being denied the first time. They never called to let me know so I stopped in to see how it was going. read more
