We decided to switch the battery in the parking lot, and they let us use a few of their tools to do this. We were also able to not pay the money for the core of the old battery, as we were able to return it right away. There was some corrosion on the old battery and it wasn't coming apart easily. Ellie was very helpful and came out to lend us a hand. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The next time we need anything for either of our cars we will definitely return here.

They appeared to have what we needed so he called to confirm. The person that answered the phone said they did not actually have the item in stock. We decided to walk the two mile trip anyway to explore .. there is another auto parts store in close proximity so we were planning to go there as well. The young man we encountered at AutoZone (Josh) was extremely helpful. He helped us understand what we were buying and how the options differed ... he even located the missing inventory item. I was able to get a friend to come give me a jump so that I could drive to AutoZone to get the battery replaced. I entered the store and saw two employees behind the counter (I believe there was one other customer in the store). I stood at the counter. Neither employee acknowledged my existence and both walked from behind the counter to another part in the store. It's 100% not a big deal if they were in the middle of assisting the other customer/wrapping up another project, but a brief "we'll be right with you" could have fixed this problem. When the gentleman came back to the counter, I described what was needed and he grabbed his kit to test my battery which verified that the battery was bad. He seemed to struggle with finding where to attach the device on my battery. I explained to him that attaching it to any of the metal clamps on the battery would still yield a reading. I bought the battery and he grabbed it and his tools to install it. The installation process felt as poor as my initial experience. The gentleman dropped one of his tools in my engine (again, no problem, mistakes happen), but waited for my brother to start reaching under the car to find where it landed. The battery installation process took a long time. I'm no mechanic, but the experience made me feel that I may have been equally or more qualified to install the battery myself. I don't say that to sound arrogant/condescending - it's just that I understand that in situations like these, people rely on these locations to help them in a pinch. Some customer service 101 and some practice/supervision on the process could have made this whole experience much better. The next time I'm in need of a battery or other quick fix, I cannot say that I would return to this location.

My first complaint about dealing with the audio shop would be the fact that I talk to a man on the phone who told me to come up The following day and that they should have time to have my stereo installed I never got an appointment time or the name of the person I spoke with which was on me. Upon arriving I was told by the young kid at the counter that they wouldnt have time to do it that day and since I am driving at least 45 minutes from another state to have this done I was obviously frustrated. Then he tried to schedule me for a week out on my birthday which obviously he didn't know, When I told him this wouldn't work as my wife and I were planning on taking a road trip across the country soon and I wouldn't be in the area plus I needed the navigation system to go across country so I wouldn't have to be on my phone while driving. So he moved it up another four days sooner. My second and most pressing issue was when I arrive for my schedule appointment, I am not a stereo installation expert by any means but I am also not an idiot. Now when I was informed of the hundred dollar an hour price I did not think anything of it considering this stereo is an easy installation and should not take any more than a half hour to install. The only reason I didn't do it myself is because I originally was going to have my father who is an electrician help me with some of the wiring so I chose not to pay the extra $20 to have Crutchfield do the wiring for me...big mistake my father and I had a falling out due to unrelated issues and I am not personally comfortable messing with the wiring as far as stripping and splicing them together goes. Knowing all of this I was apalled when the kid at the counter suggested to me that it was going to be a four hour minimum to install the stereo. Meaning he wanted $400 to install a stereo that should only take A half hour tops in the hands of somebody who knows what they're doing... when I told him that I was not going to pay the $400 he then went on to try to explain why it was going to take so long etc. and suggested a few other places I could try as if I hadn't done that already. Mind you out of all of the other places that quoted A price for me The max that I heard was $180! And that is including Best Buy a huge franchise! My whole review could've been summed up in a few words this place is a joke they will waste your time and try to rip you off for everything they think they can get out of you. Don't waste your time especially if it is the young kid that works behind the counter working. I wouldn't doubt if he never even told his bosses about my appointment or my stereo system and he wasn't planning on pocketing some extra money. If yelp would let me I would give a -5 star review...
