Lars, who also does Ironmans, was very helpful in helping me understand the best bike for my needs, what type of adds I would need, and also made me aware of needing to buy pedals and shoes when I buy the bike. Who knew! While I didn't buy a bike that day, I learned a lot and am still on the hunt. They also have a bike repair shop where you can take your bike in to be serviced. It's a great place if you're looking for a bike.

Friendly, engaging, proactive, and most of all, an expert mechanic in his own right who seeks to provide exceptional service to Trek's cudomers. Joel and his expert service team installed a new derailleur on my bike, and gave it an incredible tune-up. It now rides smooth as silk, and I can't thank everyone at Trek enough for the fine service they gave me. They can be sure I will brag about them every chance I get.

Their selection is limited to 5 options, at most. The worst part of visiting this store is being ignored by the staff. No assistance offered. But they were quick to greet and help the next three guys who walk in the store (that looked like a cyclists). I'm slightly overweight and trying to get in to riding my peloton. So far successful enough to need new shoes. Nothing like being fat shamed in a cycling store. Shame on this place for being so unaccommodating. There are better options in the area. She even took her out for a short spin to test out the bike. Since this was Haylees first bike without training wheels, we opted for the single speed model, trek precaliber 20". No high pressure to upgrade and I appreciated the time Sarah took to ensure we were happy. We took Haylee to a big empty parking lot and after 2 tries, she was biking like a pro! Love that they include one free service and they also have a trade in program. We will come back for all our biking needs!

I always avoid the Cary store whenever I can because I've been up sold on three separate occasions, a water bottle holder, a cleaning product, and a kick stand. The latter time, my current kickstand was actually insulted before they recommended a new kick stand. First of all, the covid measures are a little over the top. Making customers stand in the baking sun without acknowledgment for 15 minutes until someone comes to retrieve them is a little ridiculous. The store is quite large and everyone is wearing masks, why so militant about the number of people inside? There was never THAT many people trying to come in the store, and there is plenty of space to spread people out in the air conditioning. Trek's covid customer experience is far worse than any other triangle area business I've been to, including restaurants. If you can't figure out a way to accommodate customers better than you currently are, you should just remain closed until things get back to normal. Secondly, the upselling was tiresome and cringe worthy. Trying to get in and out of your store to accomplish a simple task is nearly impossible. I had an appointment to drop my bike off for routine maintenance service. My time was needlessly wasted as employees suggested a host of products I didn't want (everything from cleaning solutions to a new kickstand - because the associate mocked the existing after market kick stand that had been installed). It was a waste of my time and it's an uncomfortable experience for the customer. I could have been home and back to work 20 minutes earlier if I wasn't fending off your associates attempts to sell me your crap. You need to reimagine your entire customer service experience with the customer in mind.
