CYCLEBAR - Cycling Classes Near Me - Davie, Florida

This was a beautiful cycle studio with thirty bikes and an instructor located in the Tower Shops. The manager, Eve, took us on a quick tour of the shop. Everything appeared clean and organized. The wife was thinking about getting a membership at this type of gym and then possibly me too although the bike seats are really tiny and hard. They had a huge red and white locker room combined with a social lounge area. They offer special bike shoes for rent or they include them in the three tier monthly membership plans, which Eve explained to us. The best plan for an active member is the Unlimited for $159 monthly, although there are two cheaper plans but not unlimited access. Eve offered us a one time each trial cycle class which is great - Try Before You Buy - which is good marketing. They do have a penalty fee if you do not cancel within twelve hours of your appointment slot or simply dont show up, since there are only so many bikes available. Hope to upgrade my review rating after my trial. read more

I've been going to Cyclebar for a few years now. I started cycling at the location in Weston but they closed down last year so I started going to Davie. I love the energy, music, and empowerment that comes with high intensity cardio! On my spare time I like to boost my stamina by running at least 5 miles on the elliptical three days a week. I also like to end my workouts in the dry sauna to increase my stamina, muscle recovery, and just more advised benefits for athletes and health in general. I do have a con when it comes to cyclebar Davie and trying to become a cycling instructor for one of these companies in general if you're a BIPOC, young, and attractive. My experience will be different than someone else's so I'm only speaking on my experience. I trained for so long to become a cycling instructor. I attended different instructors classes, I stayed after class for more tips, guidance, and overall to become better. But the support was not there except for one very nice instructor named Krystal at CycleBar Davie! She was the sweetest and the only one who actually took me seriously. I networked with a lot of instructors, kept in touch, showed my progress over social media, took their classes yet nothing moved me forward in getting the chance to audition. Finally, I decided that this was just not the company for me. I'm still continuing my health and fitness journey. So I would say if you want to enjoy a ride then cyclebar is pretty great. But if you ever want to improve, advance, level up and become like the instructors that you admire.... Well it's difficult depending on your race (in my opinion). read more

This place has horrible management. I've been trying to cancle my membership for 2 months and haven't been able to. I stopped by the front desk where I was given a business card to email for cancellation, sent email and then management sends me back to the front desk to complete a cancellation form which I've could have done since the beginning...do not join!! I've been on the hunt to try new workouts on my fitness journey. A coworker of mine told me about CycleBar and how much she loved their classes. After reading up on classes I was intrigued how the incorporated music in their classes while focusing on strength, endurance, challenges and drills. I was hesitant at first because I haven't done a full workout but I figured that I had to start somewhere. The day of my class I pumped myself up for class and headed to the studio. Once I reached I mustered up the strength to go inside I was greeted by a couple of ladies at the front desk. After I told them it was my first class they bombarded me with questions and it just didn't seem genuine to me at all. I like how they provide cycling shoes for you. People in the class noticed me and introduced themselves, which I liked. A few people told me that the first class is always the hardest but don't let it get the best of me. I put my things in the free locker that was provided and head into class. The studio was dimly lit and I could hear upbeat music playing. I sat in my assigned seat and went for it. Now this class was very hard and it's definitely me since I haven't worked out regularly in a while. I stopped a few times but the instructor Meghan was very motivational and positive. Her roads really did push me to go a little harder but she also let me know that it's ok to go at my own pace and not to be hard on myself. The music is a big help too because it really gets you going in class. I was so proud of myself for not stopping completely and walking out of class. Getting my things out of the lockers and returning my cycling shoes was a breeze. When I was getting ready to leave the two ladies at the front desk immediately asked which membership I would sign up for, they didn't even ask how my first class was or show any concern. It came off as a sales pitch and wasn't a good feeling at all. I want to be a part of a studio that cares about me as a member and not just signing me up for a membership to make money. read more

I had the opportunity to visit the CycleBar Davie location while in Miami. It was my cousins first ride. The location had plenty of parking in the lot. There are electric car chargers located near the entrance and a traderjoes a couple stores down. Upon arrival there were a couple staff members in the front. We checked in easily and proceeded to the back to the lockers. The shoes were marking with American shoes sizes and had half sizes available. Our names were written on the lockers as a welcome to the studio. The studio inside is a great large space and the bikes are spaced out. The audio was loud and you could still hear the instructor. We needed support setting up the bike and staff were super helpful and patient. The bikes appear to be outdated when compared to the manhattan locations and a little stiffer. There were no towels made available on the bike, I did not see them until after class. The class was being led by Gabby. She had a great mix of music and really made us work. I enjoyed her class and energy. We finished the class with a cool down and a group breath. Leaving the room there was a line for the bathroom. There were only two stalls. There was one room with a shower. Not sure what products were the shampoo and body wash they were in an unlabeled device. We did have to wait for a while to use the bathroom. My cousin enjoyed the class and the motivation and affirmation provided during the ride by the instructor. She plans on returning. read more

BE AWARE THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! WOW! I can't believe I'm not the only one, review the other comments. On July 25th my wife and decided to sign up with CycleBar to exercise and feel healthier. I signed up for 4 classes per month and my wife signed up for 8 classes. The fine lining of the contract was that to cancel the membership 30 days in advance in order to avoid recurring charges. After trying it out for couple of sessions we realized that our work schedules doesn't work with the offered class times and we could only barely use the class sessions we were being charged for. I called the CycleBar Davie early August and told them we would want to cancel our membership, she told me we need to sign a cancellation request form. Despite our hectic schedule we managed to go in and sign the paper request form on August 28th which was 3 days short of 30 days period. I thought since I already called and spoke to them about the cancellation they wouldn't be trying to charge my account (guess what I was WRONG). Despite my 12 hours shifts at the hospital, I tried calling them on multiple occasions to ensure that we don't get charged, but I only got their voicemail and no one ever responded. I changed my credit card information, but that didn't stop them. Just look at how many times they tried to charge us. I kept calling and texting, but no one would answer until I finally reached the club manager. She said it's their billing department and its out of their hand. I managed to call and speak with their billing department and they hung up on me, very rude and unprofessional. We were planning to just get ride packages that we could use at our convenience, but seeing what a shady business they are running I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN step into any CycleBar! This has caused so much stress in my life that made me write this review. Joining a fitness club should help you build physical strength at the same time make you relax mentally and this was definitely NOT the experience we got. BW AWARE PEOPLE! read more

After my visits and wonderful spin classes, I gotta give this place a review! Located next to Trader Joe's in the Tower Shops is CycleBar. It's clean, modern, and definitely has a "hip" vibe inside. Your first class is always free, so don't be shy about trying this place out. Once you've browsed the current class schedule online, you should show up about 20 minutes beforehand so that they can enter a first timer into their system and give you the run down. Bethenny, the girl at the front desk, is the first person you'll come into contact with. Honestly, she is so helpful and sweet. I hadn't been back to spin for many years, but she held my hand through the entire process of getting started. She made sure my spin shoes fit properly, got me a water bottle, helped to ensure my bike was properly adjusted to my height for a successful ride, and also clipped in my shoes for me (yes, I needed some extra help! Haha). She is such an amazing employee and a great reflection on Cycle Bar! I've only been to classes instructed by Kayla, and she is awesome as well! She has a great energy and is totally motivating but not intimidating. She pushes you hard, but always insists you take a seat and a break if you're feeling like you're gonna die! It's truly a great balance! Wednesday mornings at 10am is my go-to time. Cycling shoes that clip in to your bike must be worn. They provide the shoes for you, and only carry HALF sizes. The fit is pretty true to size, although I'm sure you will have to go up a half size rather than down. Towels are provided if you forgot yours or just don't want to bring one. The classes is an auditorium-style layout, and your score or placement in the class is displayed (but only if you wish) on the screen in front so you know where you stand. Sidenote: I received a Groupon as a gift, so I cannot comment on their pricing. This is truly a great place, and it's because they have a fun, challenging workout and have such amazing employees! I'm not a big Yelper but I'd be remiss if I didn't leave a review about how amazing Gabby's classes are!! I used to teach indoor cycling for Flywheel Sports for 5+ years but then after two kids and moving from San Francisco back to South Florida I kind of fell off the wagon. I have taken a few classes at other studios but just didn't ever love any classes to be honest. I decided to try Cycle Bar Davie last week and happened to try Gabby's class. She makes me want to teach again!! She has the most amazing music and vibes, and I honestly forget I am working out when I'm in her class....it's that fun. 11/28/2016- Think of a Spa meets a Club all while Spinning. I will always say YES when someone invites me to workout. I'm that person! So, when Dana M. told me about an Intro Ride Trial Class at the new CycleBar in Davie, I said "Where do I sign up?" Well, pretty easy, sign up online, and reserve your bike. You can also reserve cycle shoes. They will email you a confirmation. Easy enough! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and the younf lasy took me to the 3 IPads where I could sign in. All you do is look for your name (alphabetical), then if you forget your bike number, there is another IPad where you can look up that information. The number on the bike is important because that is your locker number. There you can get your shoes. (I brought my own) After you sign in, you are guided into the "spa" area. It's their get ready, lounge place. Beautiful white lockers and couches. There is some treats like a pumpkin bar. You can also get a CycleBar Red water container that you can fill in with cold water or room temperature. The coolest thing is that they have ear plugs, bobby pins and ties for your hair. They have thought of everything!!! So far, so good! The instructor comes out and she is full of energy!. She asks that we come in. The room had over 40 bikes. I got to my bike #33. The young ladies that work there are very helpful. They came by and helped me with my bike and to clip on my shoes. The class is now pretty full and Laurel, our instructor is hyping up the room. Music starts and we go! Our names are up on the board so you can see where you are compared to everyone. Then you can also work as a team. The bike is great, you can see the RPM's and the gears. So, when Laurel says go to 6, give me 85 RPM, you can easily follow. It's a great experience and an amazing workout! There are no memberships, the price packages are online. Basically if you want one ride is $25. If you add more, the price per ride is cheaper. read more

I accidentally bought a groupon for the ft Lauderdale cyclebar instead of the Davie location a few months ago. I had only ever done the spinning classes offered by my gym and was always a fan. This was a completely new spinning experience and as someone who hates working out I can say I actually enjoyed the class. I have since redeemed 2 free classes at the Davie location (they offer a free ride for new riders and a free one for your birthday). I definitely prefer this location because the parking situation is better. The facility is very clean and I love how they provide towels for everyone. The actual bikes they use are high quality and they provide shoes which clip into the pedals. They also incorporate a short upper body workout with a bar weight which I haven't seen in any other spinning class. I haven't been able to purchase a package yet due to my busy school and work schedule and the limited classes they offer (however I found they have similar schedules to most smaller fitness studios such as OTF). Once my schedule clears up though I hope to come to more classes. Highly recommend for any fans of spinning in the area or for anyone looking for a new workout. read more

CycleBar Davie - 5 stars without a doubt. My entire experience was so easy going and the entire staff was always very kind and respectful to EVERYONE! My friend and I have always wanted to try once of these types of cycling establishments and when we found out that this one offers a free first class we were thrilled. We reserved our free reservation online where we also reserved our bikes. Following this, the sweet woman working the front desk gave me a call and informed me about the classes and that they will provide shoes and a towel and that all we needed to bring was ourselves plus a bottle of water. She also informed me to arrive 15-20 minutes early so that my friend and I could receive a tour of the cycle bar and also to set up our bikes. So my friend and I did just that, we arrived early and became familiar with the joint. We got our locker and headed into the room full of bikes! Our instructor, Keri, helped us get our bikes ready for the class. The next 50 minutes was INTENSE lol. It wasn't impossible and theres always room to dial down the intensity so don't let that intimidate you. I will say that I burned an extensive amount of calories though!!! It just so happens that my friend and I's first time was the instructors one year anniversary at CycleBar and as a cycle instructor. It made the class just that much more since our instructor was celebrating such an amazing milestone. At the end of our morning class the rest of the staff came in with a cake for Keri to celebrate. It was very cute and you can feel the love between staff members. Following my amazing class with Keri, the staff reached out to me to see how my class was and if I would be coming back for more cycle sessions. My answer: HECK YES!!! I've only been coming for a couple weeks but for me that's a lot I personally used to hate working out but at CycleBar Davie it's amazing it's fun and has great music all of the instructors are amazing and I love all of their different styles! My favorite part is that they have shoes there for you to use and they are clean the bathrooms are always spotless. You would think with how sweaty the people walk out of class the place with stink like a teenage boys locker room LOL but you walk in to a smiling face and a great smell! CycleBar Davie recently opened and everyone kept buzzing about how great this place is and for the first week rides were free so why not? I was apprehensive only because of it's location. It's in the Tower Shops near the Trader Joes. I just worried about parking and traffic because it always seems to be a mess there and luckily every time I was there it wasn't bad. Maybe I was just making excuses not to go? Anywho... It's easy to sign up for a class: you log onto the website, create an account, and then pick your times. Once you do that you come in, sign in on the kiosk, grab your shoes and you're ready to go. One of my two issues with CycelBar is the locker room/bathroom situation. For a studio like this, I feel like it would be much better to have actual locker rooms like I've seen in other spin studios. They have three bathrooms which anyone can use that are single stall so if you need to change you have to go in the bathroom. There was always a line for the bathroom when I was there. The locker area doesn't give you adequate changing room because it's mixed gender and people just aren't going to change clothes there. The locker area is also super cramped and there is nowhere really to wait before your class. It's tight quarters for sure. Inside the studio where you're working out they have around 48 bikes which have my other issue- they are cramped together. I understand the idea of synergy and feeling other people's energy, but you can't walk through the bikes because they are so closely put together. You do a stretch and your face is in someone's butt. If they lost a few bikes it would make all the distance in the world. I get that you have to make money but it feels too cramped. The workout and the instructors are great. The music may not be my thing all of the time, but they really try to pull you in and engage you while you're there. It has a competitive aspect to it as your name is on a big board facing you. Every instructor is different so every workout may be a little different. One thing is for sure- you're going to sweat your a@@ off. I don't think I ever burned as many calories ever as I did with this class. And what's nice is that they email you how you did which is a great motivator. CycleBar is a great way to kickstart your healthy lifestyle for the new year. read more

I really enjoyed my first ride here and I plan on using the other ones in the package I bought in the near future. The staff/instructors were very friendly and the class that I attended was very different than what I am used to. I like the fact that they supply water, food and towels. The fundraisers are a nice idea although they keep getting cancelled due to poor attendance. The only complaint that I have is the pricing after the first time riders package. It is very expensive to keep buying rides and I think that they should offer better promotions in order to sustain their membership. The promotion in January was great; however, the February promotion was disappointing. It remains to be seen as to whether or not I will be able to afford to keep spinning here when my introductory package is complete. read more

This review does not reflect the instructors or classes themselves all of which were great when i attended this location. Unfortunately, if you ever need any assistance regarding billing this location is extremely difficult to resolve anything with. No one answers the phone, apparently no one is at the location nor do the phones transfer over to any particular phone service when classes aren't being held which is extremely inconvenient and pretty bad for business. I initially called in July of this year and after several attempts of getting someone on the phone i spoke to someone about canceling my membership, Julie said i would have to come in and fill out a form i asked if it could be emailed to me since i had moved away months prior and didn't have a way of getting to the location Julie said she would talk to the owner and the owner would send me an email. She asked if it was ok if that i was already charged for the month of July and i said yes since i had called after my billing cycle payment due date, but to just make sure my membership was canceled & i wouldn't be billed moving forward Flash forward a month later and of course i was billed. Again after several attempts made to get someone on the phone Kristina had no record of my call with Julie that i had documented (thank god) Kristina told me she couldn't refund me my payment and that the owner would get back to me the next day. Two days went by and i called and left several voicemails regarding this over the course of the next five days to no avail. I never received a single phone call, email, text message, telegram or pigeon from the owner or anyone else at Cyclebar Davie regarding this issue despite several attempts at trying to contact them directly without getting my bank involved until i finally had to call My bank to dispute the charge a week later. This was 4 months ago and this issue is still unresolved, i received an email from the club last week Friday that i have a past due balance with a warning that if i do not update my payment (for a membership i canceled 4 months ago!!!) My outstanding balance would be turned over to their collections 'attorney, and i had 3 days before they did so. I called as soon as i received this email and of course no answer and their voicemail box is full. I send Kristina who sent me the email a response via email and let her know i called and got no answer. I called again Friday evening and spoke to a Jessica who told me Kristina wasn't in but she'd relay the message after i made her take down my name and phone number. Another email was sent to Kristina letting her know i tried to reach her again and left a message with Jessica and it is now Monday afternoon and i haven't received a single call back or email response. Insane that a company would send a threatening email giving someone a timeline and not even have the decency to pick up the phone or at the very least return phone calls or emails. I am beyond frustrated with this location and how management handles billing situations and can't believe this has gone on 4 months and counting. Honestly, it's a shame how terrible, unorganized and unprofessional their customer service is on the administrative side is because this is not a reflection of the instructors they employ and as much as i would love to refer more of my friends, family and colleagues to this location i refuse due to this experience and instead warn anyone so they don't have to ever experience this headache like i have. read more

Though the instructors are amazing and the girls at the front desk are kind, I find the business owner to be irresponsible. I needed to cancel my membership because I moved away. I have not heard back from the manager even though I've emailed her twice. I've been trying to cancel my membership for more than a month now. Super concept, CycleBar provides your riding shoes, towels, water bottle, after ride chilled towel with aromatherapy and snack. The front office staff is excellent! I was having a life tragedy and I misunderstand the way that I was supposed to cancel and they drew on my account so I called and was told there was nothing that I could do about the money that was drawn but to send in an email so I would have it in writing. I sent the email directly to the manager that I was talking to and they have continued to draw an account two more times. They are criminals and crooks and just want to steal your money. read more

I really loved the special they ran before opening, free rides the first week who can say no to that? I originally thought it was the typical "first ride free" but no you could literally sign up for as many as you could book that week. Way to get people hooked! The expereince before even going into the spin room was fantastic! it was like going into a spa - here are the towels here is a waterbottle fill it up with water, do you like it cold or room temp they have both! It was nice having the lockers and I was impressed they offer spin shoes. I've invested in a pair of spin shoes, but I thought that really showed the value the have in the ride they provide! When you sign up you pick a bike, so for those of you that have "your spot" for your workout no need to get there super early to secure its all done online. It's also a tiered room so everyone can see the instructor (and yourself in the mirrors) perfectly. I already knew i would enjoy the spin class, but adding the weighted bar (CycleBar - get it?) was amazing! I loved the incorporation of upper body! And man was it tough! Music was great, even cooler that they email you the playlist! Now here is the kicker, they do show the stats! Up on a screen you can compete with your fellow classmates. My goal was to not be last, luckily I did pretty well. Another benefit of the online account, it will email you stats and compare your rides. You can watch yourself hopefully getting better! While I wasn't ready to commit to a membership, Groupon did offer a 4 ride package deal and I did get it! Overall great workout in a nice facility. I've never been much of a cardio person. Ever. But I decided to switch things up a bit. Y'know, the ol' trick your body method? I went to the free intro class this past Saturday. Laura was the instructor and she was FABULOUS! Her rider name suits her well (shout out to you Miss FABULOUS!!! ) After getting a thorough run down of positioning and getting a taste of what a real class would be like I bought myself 5 classes and signed up for the Mashup Monday that SCREAMED my name: Guns n Roses & Metallica. Tonight's ride started off a little rocky. I got there 10 minutes early, as recommended, put my stuff in a locker and started to warm up after setting up my bike. Just as class was about to start, I noticed my name wasn't showing up on the board. When I told a staff member and we verified my information, they told me someone informed them I wasn't coming to class and to cancel my spot. (Mind you, I literally know NO ONE there...) Though we couldn't figure out why someone did that, the staff was amazing and fixed the issue and got me back up on the scoreboard. The class itself was AMAZING. Even if I felt like I was gonna puke a couple times, the energy in the room was palpable and Laura was super motivating. Since I only have 5 classes (now 4), I'll only be able to come in once a week to make the most of my time there until I have to decide if I'm going to buy more. But honestly? I am 100% certain I will be. The facility itself is so clean. They really make things easy for their customers. They supply you with the shoes, a towel (both items get deposited into laundry bins at the end of class), a free water bottle, pre/post ride snacks and their bathrooms are stocked with essentials you may need. 11/28/2016 All I can say is yowzaaa! Be ready for the ride of your life! A great concept to hit the area. Cycle bar is exactly what the name says. It's like your cycling at a bar. When you walk in your greeted by a young lady who walks you over to the iPad check in area to sign in. Then you make your way to the locker area which has a water and snack bar area. The cycle room is really nice. All the bikes are set up with a bar for arms and a towel. One great thing is that you reserve your bike in advance. The instructor was was in full hype mode. She was energetic all throughout the class. She explained the RPMs along with the leader board that's up with your name on it. It was a fun tough class. I loved the lighting in the room...makes for a great ride. Overall great workout and will recommend to anyone who is looking to change it up. Sn: After the class was done, walking out into the locker room area was a bit of a struggle because you have other people waiting for the next class along with the people coming out of the class that just finished. It got very crowded and was overwhelming. They may need to rethink that setup. read more

This was my first 50 minute ride today and it was awesome! Our cycle instructor Krystal motivated us to ride and have fun. You get towel and spinning shoes and water bottle so you don't have to worry about bringing it with you. I highly recommend you come and try out a session, you won't be disappointed. read more

Myyyyy what a completely great experience! My legs-my back- my... (nope) anyway, my ENTIRE body is sore. I have never considered myself a spinning gal, however the class and instructor and energy of this spin class was so positive and encouraging and energizing, that my crazy legs were spinning at RPMs that i never thought possible. And my name on the big screen motivated me into a sprinting queen. The studio is impeccable, starting with a front desk and boutique full of their red and black themed gear. Pass by to the electronic ipad check in station to check your cycle # and grab your clean bikes shoes from the cubby. Turn the corner towards the locker area and theres a refreshment station with water of various temps on tap, along with fruits, granola bars, a jar of hairpins (or as i like to call them - pinchos) and earplugs. Then head to the self setting lockers and write your locker # and name on the wall ( in case your forgetful like me ) with magnetic colorful markers on the wall. The bathroom and walls in locker area are covered with murals- its really a clean and functional space. The actual cycle studio is loaded with bikes stadium style- clip in with lots of help from the staff. Don't worry, the bikes are wiped down and disinfected in between classes. The lights go down just enough and the music goes up just enough and the instructor takes you through a warm up, sprint, climb, sprint, arm and weight exercises and cool down/stretch all to great music. Laura was the instructor and she was AWESOME! There is still some construction going on, so there should be showers very soon. Great luxury spinning studio! Courtney, Mallory, Kayla and Krystal are my favorites!!! You will get an amazing challenging workout with any of these ladies! They teach proper form and are very motivational, great playlists! The studio is very clean, front desk girls (Bethany and Bojana) will help you with ANYTHING, You get a towel on your bike, bikes are cleaned for you, cool eucalyptus infused towel for after class, wine Wednesday's, such a great community if you're looking to get into a group of sweaty, healthy, fun peeps! First ride is $10 try it and they have packages of monthly memberships, something for everyone! read more

The Greatness of it all! I started spinning at my local gym, and I was into it. I saw a groupon for the Cyclebar in Davie, and the rest is history. Almost two years later, and I'm still coming. Classes are fun, high energy, and by the time you are done you wouldn't even guess, that you completed a work out. Lots of nice people, the staff is always super friendly, and there's loud music playing. What more could you ask for?! Try it, you'll love it! read more
