I've been attending this CycleBar studio from the beginning of its opening in October 2022. Never would I have thought I would be so into an indoor cycle studio, but CycleBar has changed my outlook. Not only are the staff and instructors amazing, but the community that comes from its members makes this place feel like a second home. I won't lie and say that indoor cycling is easy; this is one of the most challenging forms of exercise I have come across, but the reward is well worth the sweat and tears. The staff is extremely helpful with helping new riders get set up with their bikes and getting settled in. I love how this studio provides free shoe rentals too, which was a huge factor in my choosing of an indoor cycle studio. I'm happy and proud to call CycleBar my favorite studio ever. read more

Please read! There is nothing more upsetting than a business being sketchy, scamming, and being dishonest with their customers. I saw that they were opening up soon and called to get information. They had a deal for founding members and so I bought the membership (cancel at anytime they said). They let me know it would still be a few weeks until they actually opened because construction etc. was going on but that we would get information on the opening. Few weeks later, they ended up having their members only opening on 10/13. At the time I wasn't in town and decided I would just start my membership in November. WELL. I was wrong. They started my month on 10/13 without me agreeing to that start day. I assumed my month would begin on the first day that I CHOSE to go. I called and they said they could not refund me those days because they couldn't change the billing cycle?... blah blah. So I was charged for half a month that I didn't even go to classes, wasn't even aware that they began my membership, nor agreed to begin that day. The owner said we sent out multiple announcements that we were opening that day. I have attached the text message they sent. Not once did they mention my membership would begin on 10/13. They provided a discount on my NEXT month. First red flag. Second, I would get to class and jump on my bike. I would receive stats on how I did in the class etc. I assumed that is proof that I attended class. Well, it wasn't. And YES they charged me $15 for every time I did not check in on their iPad. Which again, I was NEVER told I needed to check in. I have attached a picture of the charges. I talked to them and they agreed to refund me. I received a notification and they only refunded me for ONE incident. I have yet to receive the refund for the rest of those charges. Second red flag. Lastly, I am moving cities and have tried to call to cancel my membership. They girls at the front have stated they couldn't help with that and to speak to the manager Jen. I tried calling multiple times and the manager Jen has never been available to help me cancel my membership. I finally tried emailing them and they let me know that I needed to to give a 7 day notice before the billing cycle date to cancel, so therefore, I will be charged for ANOTHER month. And ONCE AGAIN, no one ever mentioned about this " 7 day rule". When I talked to them initially I was told I can cancel at anytime. Third red flag. So disappointed with how you do business. I want everyone to be aware of how they run this gym. Check your statements and don't give business to individuals who scam their customers. I wish they would have been more transparent from the start. Instead of finding ways on how to get an extra buck here and there, work on having better customer service and professionalism to keep your customers. read more

Only 4 stars because of lack of transparency with fees. Classes are fun and inspiring! Jen and Sonny's classes are amazing, didn't get to do many classes with other instructors yet. Keep up the themed rides- so fun! I signed up after attending the free soft opening rides, very much enjoying the classes. I am a medical student on fixed income (loans) and asked many questions about my options when signing up. No student discounts available. I signed up for a four class/month membership and asked about how pausing the membership works due to my schedule changing every six weeks. I was told I could easily pause for a couple months at a time- no problem. For the holidays I asked to pause membership as I was going to be out of town and was told after my membership was paused that there's a $15 fee to pause , which no one mentioned when I signed up two months ago. It's the little things for someone like me who already has to budget $90/mo according when on loans and can't account for random fees. read more

I joined in late December 2022 and have loved every minute of it. A friend of mine sent me a free ride because I had told her I wanted to start doing indoor cycling. I originally was going to get a Peloton and I am so glad I decided to try this first because this is the best decision I have ever made. The classes themselves really have me pushing myself in my fitness journey and the theme rides are so much fun.The Instructors are so friendly and make you feel welcome and that it is all about just showing up for yourself. I was told by the manager Angelo that NONE of my information was there anymore. I wanted them to erase my account from their computers because they will harrass for money. I paid almost $150 for literally 2 classes because it was supposed to be a free trail but they tricked me and I somehow was a member. I cancelled my membership with Angelo and now I'm getting a e mail for $50 charge. They will scam you in every way ! Even after ! There is so much I can say about starting at CycleBar Traffic Circle in Long Beach. First, when I joined I had no idea the community that was built was going to be beyond amazing! All of the instructors are so supportive, very talented, help you achieve your goals, and help with any aches and pains that you might endure by not having a proper form. They will work with you on that so you can have the best ride. They play awesome music that makes me so excited and want to be there every time. I go 5 days a week and I look forward to everyday day I go. I have made so many friends that it truly feels like a family here. Extremely rude staff and unprofessional. They will be all over your contact when they try to get you to buy membership and extremely painful when you want to cancel. I personally turned off my bank account until there's bill due that I'm aware of to avoid unexpected charge. Unexpected charge such a missed class fee that they're trying to charge which I'm not aware of because I wasn't notified that I was getting into a waitlist class. I notice the payment didn't go through so I called the first time on August 7 around 9:30am to notify one of the staff about the situation. And she said that I should have shown up to class anyways even I'm on waitlist (and how would I know that's how your system work?!) She said she will fix the attempt fee of no show when her manager is here and it never gotten fixed. I noticed my last 1/4 credit disappear 2 days later which might happen because they attempted to charge me for no show class but didn't go through and the staff didn't fix on the day I called on 08/7. I called again this Wednesday to explain the situation and asked why my last credit disappeared and one of the staff was trying to accused me that I should have called the staff first about the fail attempt payment of no show - which I did called the first time on 8/7 and no one fix it until they decide to take the credit away. She also said there are a lot going in the studio so I should be there to fix the problem earlier (I don't have time for that and that's not my problem). $20 of no show fee is not a big deal but of how the staff handled the whole thing of which none of it was my fault at the first place. It's so frustrating. I would not recommend If you don't care about how they take care of your business and only there for good instructors.. go for it. But cancel membership is a pain!!!! read more

CycleBar traffic circle is my home away from home! I have done fitness bootcamp, yoga and even going at it alone. Spinning is by far my favorite form of exercise and CycleBar has created an environment that allows everyone to feel at home, safe. The music is great and the instructors are even better!! They are really good at keeping you engaged and coming back again and again. I would definitely recommend everyone try it at least once. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. It's low impact but you are still able to challenge and push yourself and more importantly, grow. I absolutely love the CycleBar and I'm certain you will too!!! #spinningiswinning read more

The staff and the place was nice. My two stars are for the lack of a workout. I'm a gritcyle member and this class felt like a grandma spin cycle class compared. Not sure if it's the studio or the instructor but very mediocre work out. I could have sat on my gyms bike for free and did the same workout. I have been a CBTC member since before they opened and knew that it would be an amazing space. Agreed with a review below about giving a fake number. I'm constantly receiving texts, even thought I asked to be removed from their list. I took a few classes and enjoyed them for the most part, but this place seems chaotic and judgey. I don't see myself returning with ClassPass. I really enjoyed Kristina and Julia's classes I had taken a few months ago, but I can't find them as instructors anymore. Hopefully they just wisened up and left. read more
