The classes are tough, the music is always trendy and well curated, and the equipment is always clean and ready to go for your classes. This location is conveniently located in a strip mall and has a variety of shorter, and longer classes. The facility is clean and well organized, however arrived to class a little late and had difficulty placing my shoes in the pedal. Unfortunately, there was no assistants available to help so I just had to let it ride. I was a little fearful of possibly twisting my ankle, so didn't push myself as hard as I could. Instructors are great and the cycle class brings a different spin by adding some upper body strengthening with weights towards the end and stretching. The lockers are self locking, so no need to bring your padlock. Wish the locker area had more seating and space. It does get tight when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. They offer complimentary water bottles, bananas, towelettes to freshen at the end, deodorant spray and hair ties. Overall a nice experience for a fitness class. read more

I would give this studio 10 stars if I could. I have never loved a spin studio more. Cyclebar wyckoff is a community and they are so welcoming. The owner Pedro is amazing, and he knows everyone's name. They run this place so well, and they are always asking for feedback and working to make improvements. They are so nice here and they really care about everyone. Unlike soul cycle, if you're new they make sure you're all set up and help you with everything. They make working out fun. Pedro manages this place like a 5 star hotel. For example, after a class I took, they came out with flowers to give to a couple because it was their wedding anniversary. My new obsession! I love spin! I spin at least 3 times a week. I go to my local gym and the classes are so-so. I wish I had the funds to attend SoulCycle, but the cost (and location) is just not doable. Well... my prayers have been answered! Cyclebar. IS. AMAZING. and my new addiction. Loved, loved, loved the class I took tonight! The facilities, the bikes, the teacher and the music were all awesome. I am an avid spinner so I had very high expectations for this location, and I can say they were not only met but well exceeded. I came to this location for a Yelp event, from the second I walked in everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Their check in process is very easy, and there were plenty of people working to help if needed. The facilities were very clean, lockers are offered to keep your personal items, and water and fruit were available for patrons. The most impressive part however was the cycling room. It has theater style seating, with the rows of bikes tiered so everyone can clearly see the instructor. The bikes are new and very advanced, and my spin shoes were compatible with the clips, which was great! The instructor, Nikki, was great. She had so much energy, was very motivating and had an awesome playlist. The class is a combination of spin and light weight upper body work, similar to SoulCycle. The spin room has lights that change with the type of music, and large screens on the wall show you your ranking against the other people in class. I am a naturally competitive person so I loved that. Plus at the end of class your stats are emailed to you so you keep track from class to class. This is a new site and so far they are doing a fantastic job. They're offering some introductory pricing which I would definitely take advantage of. $99 for 10 classes is an insane deal. My friends take classes here all the time and finally decided to join them today. At first, I was super nervous and intimidated; however, I still wanted to give them a chance. I walked in and instantly was welcomed with open arms. Since I was new, the staff made it their priority to get me situated and that was amazing. The interior was very nice, modern decor, and the instructor was awesome. The first 10 mins was rough but still continued with the remaining session. So When I walked into this spin class, I did not really have much idea on what to expect and whether I'd survive or not. But being new to spin class the instructor encouraged us while telling us maintain a comfortable pace for newbies (like myself) I have to say, I have found a new love and respect for spinning. The adrenaline rush I felt during the class along with pumping music was totally exhilarating. But aside from awesome spin class, I love their top quality spin shoes that clicks right onto the bike. The staff was friendly and made me feel right at home with thorough instructions. Their bathrooms prepares you (especially women) with your basic needs. They provide you with a "draft" of chilled or room temperature water of your choice along with clean and fresh towels. Tried out this gym on a Groupon and it is by far my favorite CycleBar location. I'm not from the area so I can only take advantage on the weekends. I don't think I've been challenged as hard in other location than by Nikki. From motivating rides to being sure I am keeping proper form on the bike throughout my ride. After visiting a few different studios this was the first that gave an actual welcome note on a locker on my first ride. (Cheesy, but definitely exciting when you're ready to rock a ride.) Check in is super easy, getting your shoes is a breeze and the staff is super friendly and accommodating even at 8am on rainy Saturday mornings. Happy to announce they now have Toca cold brew in the studio. 4 stars because I wish there was hot coffee readily available in the morning for a quick shot before class or even bananas on a regular basis since its hit or miss. Finally tried my first spin class thanks to Groupon, and will now be a regular thanks to my experience at this facility (which was very clean by the way)! I was given a warm welcome, shown how to check-in and then a brief tour of the amenities included with the class. Cycle shoes are provided if you do not own your own, and they are located in a cubby corresponding with the bike number you reserved when signing up for the class online. Their lockers are large enough to store all your stuff with an easy to work lock. They also provide you with a complimentary water bottle, access to water, bananas, a towel on each bike (because you will sweat) and body towelettes to freshen up afterwards. Workout clothing can also be purchased at this location. As I settled in on my bike, there were people going around helping the newbies (such as myself) with adjusting the seat & handles, showing how to lock your shoes into the pedals, explaining the different positions that will be used during the class and how certain parts on the bike worked (gear dial & screen). The instructor, Rahmael, even came over and introduced himself, explaining a few more things. The class itself was motivating, non-judgmental and fun! The bikes are set up stadium style facing the instructor and a mirrored wall. The bikes have a water bottle holder on either side of the bike screen (so feel free to rest your phone in one of them). The lights were dimmed, the music turned up, and those who opted-in had their names appear on the two large screens on either side of the instructor (for the competitive spinners). There were plenty of opportunities to hydrate and wipe down during the class. Afterwards, the instructor gave everyone a high-five as we exited the room and said that our stats would be emailed to us, along with the class' music playlist. There are two bins right outside the room, one for your used towel and the other for your shoes. I indulged in a banana and swiped a towelette. I'm already looking forward to my next spin class! P.S. Definitely show up 15 min prior to class if it's your first time so you can get settled in. read more

I came here for my the first yelp elite event! The facility they have here is top notch! They have excellent customer service that made you feel comfortable for my first ever spinning experience. Everyone was very helpful and eager to make your experience a good one which I appreciated. My first time doing a spin class and it was quite an experience. It was definitely a more than challenging workout. My calves cramped up about 20 minutes in I was about to quit and fold like a bad poker hand lol But our instructor, Rahmel, was so motivational and energized he made you just want to keep going. They do an amazing job choosing the music to match the intensity as well keeping you enthused and engaged. A cool feature is that they email you your statistics immediately after your workout. The place looks pretty new. The entire place was super clean and I mean spotless. That also made me feel very comfortable being there. The Yelp group was real cool and I met some amazing people. Lots of positive energy before we all went in the cycle area. Their bathroom was also very clean, smelled fresh, and has showers. Only negative for me were the seats were not comfortable at all. My butt still hurts a day later which is not cool.lol If you want to try something new or looking for a good spin studio, I would recommend this place most definitely!!! read more

I showed up and it took me a few minutes to realize that this was not "that type of bar" and I would be expected to do some form of "exercise". I thought I was in the clear, as I did not have appropriate foot-wear I was ready to hit the other bar in the strip mall... "oh? You got me covered... special shoes are included in this.. gee... thanks" So it's all set up like a stadium! except instead of chairs there are these bikes... and the instructor is on a stage with a head mounted microphone screaming instructions with beats in the background to keep you feeling like you can do this... there are screens all over the place with your progress posted, like its a race.... your own personal Tour de France except without all the steroids and Lance Armstrong propaganda. Music Videos flash up on the screen, and everyone is bouncing up and down on these bikes at their own pace, but synchronized intensity.. Im not a joiner, or into group activities.. but this place had me hooked from the first class... So every class is a blast, the place is brandy new and still has that new car smell... the equipment is top notch and the bathrooms and locker rooms are spotless! I hit this place up before work and the private shower rooms are outfitted better than the Waldorf Astoria, I leave this place feeling as if I have had a personality transplant. Give this place a try, the hour flys by and if you push yourself.... you can burn more calories than that silly VHS tape workout that you are still holding onto.. throw that thing out you silly hoarder... you don't even have a VCR... get your ass in here, there will be less of it real quick like. read more

I am a huge fan of spin. Such a huge fan, that I bought my own spin bike and I use it often. But there is something to say about a great motivational instructor helping you get through your ride and Nikki was just that person. Nikki is a great spin instructor. She's energized, reminded you where you should be (what position, RPMs, power, etc), and motivated you to try your best. Thanks for a great ride Nikki! Cyclebar's space is awesome! I attended a spin class for a Yelp event and it was just amazing. The place is clean and new. The bikes are smooth and sturdy. The employees are nice and teach you everything you need to know. There are lockers aplenty where you can store your belongings. They had water bottles available that you could fill up with water from their hydration station. I love that they offer you shoes as well. Clipping into your spin bike is a much different workout than using the cages. It's nice that they give people who don't have shoes the opportunity to get a great workout. The spin room is beautiful! There are tiered rows, the instructor is on a little stage, there are plenty of mirrors, and the lighting is fabulous. There are also screens to see where you rank in class and how much power your class is producing as a whole. It's very cool and very motivating. I like how they take your power and RPMs into account in their stats. Your stats are later emailed to you so you can keep track of your workouts. They have a new rider package - 10 rides for $99. Great new studio in NJ, energetic instructors, and nice small touches! Of all the spin studios that I've tried thus far in NY/NJ/DC, this one is my favorite. It's not an intimidating place - for all skill and competitive levels; the staff is very friendly. They offered 2 weeks of free classes, which were helpful to try out the facility and instructors. They also currently have one class a week that's free for new people to try. You can sign up beforehand online and choose your bike; some of the classes, especially on the weekends, fill up but you can typically get a bike if you sign up at least a few days before. Once you get there, you sign in via tablets and they provide you with shoes in the cubbyholes. You get a great workout in each class (intervals, hills) and, if you want to participate, can see how your performance stacks up against others while in class, as well as your past performances; your results are emailed to you after the class. The playlist is also available after class, which is a nice touch. I enjoy the challenges (men vs. women, row vs. row) to throw some variety into the classes. My favorite instructors thus far are Nikki and Jess, who give a great class filled with good energy and know how to motivate in a very positive way. I think they rival any of the instructors at other studios. In each class, there's one song for arm exercises, but the class never loses focus on the actual star: spinning. Another plus: the music isn't too loud, either. They keep the temperature in the room cool, which is greatly appreciated especially after you're warmed up. There are digital lockers, two showers, and two bathrooms. The common area gets quite crowded, especially right after the class is over. It would be nice if they had more showers, but it doesn't seem like people are hankering to use them after class, so it's usually fine. Forget your water bottle (and you'll definitely need it)? They provide water bottles, which you can fill up with chilled or room temp water--as well as ear plugs, hair ties, sometimes fruits, and body wipes, if you have to freshen up right after class. There is plenty of parking in the shopping area and it's next to a Starbucks and McDonald's, if you need a treat after class. They're offering really good packages for new riders, about $30 for 3 classes and $99 for 10 classes. The regular rides aren't cheap if you buy one-offs (sort of around the cost of a yoga class at a private studio), but less expensive than places in the city like SoulCycle and Flywheel. Hopefully there will be other new packages in the future! It would also be nice if were some classes between the hours of 6 and 8 am on weekdays, especially for people who have to get into work. read more

Please note this was my first ever indoor cycle/spin class I've ever taken. BOY was I in for a treat. First of all, this boutique is fantastic from the second you walk in. Its brand new, clean, and has a super friendly staff. The only downside to the space (I think) is the locker area. It is a corner/side wall space that feels crammed with a bunch of square lockers. Nothing to bring my ratings down but with a full class last night, it took a second before I could get my stuff out. I'm also not used to a co-ed space with men and woman. Its not a locker room more like a locker lobby outside the spin room. Anyway, nothing that left a bad taste in my mouth just a note. The bathrooms are fully equipped and more. They have makeup remover wipes and q tips.... et cetera. I loved that! They have an area where you can fill your water bottles and they supply you with spin shoes. I LOVED the shoes. I looked up a few other places who "dont require spin shoes because they have cages to lock in your shoes". I cannot imagine it being the same. The fact that you lock in and out of the bike from the balls of your feet really made the experience that much more intense. There's a feature where it'll unlock if you happen to slip slightly and you can emergency break as well. Since this was my first spin class, I had a woman who worked here come and help me understand what I need to know about the class ahead. 3 positions, 2 numbers to pay attention too, and 1 knob to understand. Simple stuff for a bad a$$ workout. I really enjoyed Nikki's class. Intense and motivational. I hope all their employees are as committed to a fantastic workout. Needless to say I loved it. I first got into spinning from a close friend of mine who is a spin instructor. I had always stayed loyal to her and went to her classes religiously, until she made a big move to Cali. Since then I had not found a spin class that was as high energy and interesting, until I was told about Cyclebar. I was referred by a coworker, and he could not stop raving about it. I decided to go that night, and I was hooked. I walked in and was greeted by a great staff, and was given a tour of the facility. They provide you with cycling shoes, water bottles and fruit should you need a little replenishment after class. My first class was with Nikki and she was great. There is something about taking a workout class for the first time, you feel like you're the new kid in class. You're not sure where to put your arms, or to raise your hand if you need help. I had never worked with bikes that required shoes, and she came up and got me situated and looked my way during class to make sure I was doing ok. She is a GREAT instructor. My next class was with Kelly. Come to think of it, all my classes since then have been with Kelly. I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about her. She is not only just a wonderful instructor, she is motivational. She pushes you to do your best, and reminds you why you stepped foot in that studio. She has two rules in her class, no talking and no phones. The monitors are also off, so with a combination of the three you really connect and remind yourself why you came. She comes around and turns up your resistance if she thinks you can do more, and really pushes you to work your hardest not for her, but yourself. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. Do yourself a favor and take a class of hers, you won't be disappointed. read more

Here goes. Cyclebar Wyckoff exceeded my expectations. Clean welcoming and modern. Easy sign up, nice staff, and a great workout. Actually the work out is what made me want to write this review. The instructor was amazing. Nikki was so motivating. She got everyone involved, from expert to novice. She engaged all of us. Her music was synced to the workout, and she used the highs and lows of each song to guide us through a true cardio adventure. Exercise is key for life longevity, but it can also build community, and a sense of belonging, if the other instructors are 1/2 as good as Nikki then Cyclebar Wyckoff gets my 5 yelp stars. read more

Everyone is so great at the Wyckoff location and can walk you through everything your first time. I've taken Kelly, Arielle, and Rahmael's classes and I loved them all. I've been waiting to write my review after attending a few classes. Now that I've done so, I can comfortably give Cyclebar a nice review. When you walk in, you'll check-in on a wall mounted iPad. Every visit I was politely greeted at the door, but not overwhelmed. Next comes the lockers, they're convenient and you don't need to bring your own lock. I wish they had some more benches in the locker area given the size of the classes, but not a biggie. The free water bottles are a big plus; they hold enough water for a heavy workout. While I have my own spin shoes, the club lends free shoes for those who don't. Once you enter the cycle room, you'll be pleased by how clean and fresh the space is. The bikes are sort of close, not to my taste but I get why others may like. You adjust your bike and hop on. If you have any question the instructor goes around to assist people who may need help. The lights can be on, dimmed, or off with candlelight. The ambience tends to be 'club,' but it varied depending on the instructor. The music was a little more quiet than I'd like, I would have enjoyed a few more decibels in volume. Instructors are good, not great like Soul Cycle or some of the seasoned instructors in other local studios, but they're good enough to build a positive vibe and good group workout. While a new boutique spin club seems to open every few months, right now this is the newest studio in town with the best sound system and the cleanest space. read more

I absolutely love it here! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The studio is spotless and I get a great workout every time!

I bought a new rider starter pack in September, and I've been going three times a week since. Its such a fantastic alternative to the treadmill monotony. I achieve in a 50 minute spin class what would take me 2+ hours at the gym. Cyclebar Wyckoff is super clean, and they provide complimentary spin shoes, water bottles, bananas, and any other amenities you could need for working out. The staff is always there to help if you need help with your bike. All of the instructors are fabulous, but I usually go to Kelly or Jess - their playlists are always exactly what I need. read more

looooove. bought a groupon & booked my bike online, which was so easy btw & the classes have been awesome. You sign in on the iPads to the left when you walk in and pick out cycling shoes. They give you a towel on your bike + a bar for your arm workout. Complimentary wipes, cold water & bananas. Also lockers are included in the cost. I know some places don't have free lockers. It's a really cool cycling class too. The instructors are like performers that keep you motivated with no judgements. Some instructors have you race or dance while you're on the bikes. It's actually so much fun. I just started and plan on going at least 3 times a week! So far I've gone to hip hop hump day with kelly & Classic with Nikki. They have different styles so it's a nice switch up! They're both really nice. Nikki has us race against each other and watch our progress on the screens, while kelly has us twerking to Eminem. I love that kelly comes around and checks up on each of us during the class to see how we're doing. The instructors also have control of the color changing lights.
