I signed up for a trial class. The staff was nice enough and continued to contact me until I committed to the day and time of the class. They asked for a credit card number to book the session and as I was driving when they called me, I wasn't able to provide it to them. We agreed I would call them back to provide it, but life happens and I forgot. No one contacted me in between I went out of my way to drive to the location (not local) and upon arrival, they did not have my appointment and told me that they canceled my session because I never provided my credit card. BUT no one ever called me and followed up and no one called me and notified me that they were canceling me so I drove out of my way for absolutely nothing. read more

I was really looking to forward to adding them to exercise regime . I take yoga elsewhere but wanted to mix it up . I signed up for a free trial class to see if I would like it it was confirmed and then I get a text yesterday sayyid they are having an event and would not be able to give me the class . They assume so did not work apparently and offered me two daytime class choices, I replied I it would not work for me due to my schedule . Then today they email me to ask me to sign up for another class . I replied that I will be going else where, nicely. I then asked to please be taken off the mailing list as I am no Longer interested . I then received a very nasty toned email back from them . I spend a lot of money on health and fitness and I can certainly say I would never give them a dime. What an unprofessional group of people. Pure Barre is one of many barre establishments in the area. Their workouts are mainly toning or cardio and toning based. More so than other studios they are focused on form. I think this is one of those workouts that gets better the more you go. The first couple times I went I wasn't sure I was doing it right but as my form improved I was able to better target specific areas. Every class I've been to the instructors call you out by name which is a personal touch. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The only drawback I'd say is that it is pricey compared to your average gym but definitely yields results. read more

They will not let you in if you are a second late. I walked in less than a minute after the class start time and they would not let me in even though their policy says they will not admit students more than 5 minutes late. This is a true shame especially since I drove 20 minutes to this studio. Also, the first class I took at this studio was too cramped and instructors do not provide guidance on form. I will not be back to a studio that operates a business like this. After all, were all trying to get in a workout and if you can't accommodate someone that gets stuck in a traffic and walks in less than a minute after after the class start time, then you're not a business who cares about its clientele. Do not let the pictures fool you! You are getting a full body workout, and though you feel sore after you will definitely feel amazing! I went with a friend of mine who happens to be an instructor at this location (she's awesome, ask for Nina!) and at first I was like NO! No way am I doing this prancy girly yoga workout, plus I'm way too lazy! Haha. But she convinced me and I tried it out. I felt I was dying but that is just how out of shape I am :/ the class was energetic, the instructors are motivating and they know you by name which is a great touch that they're so personable with you! I ended up taking 3 classes, 3 days in a row and it felt amazing! I am definitely going back home to NYC and trying to take a few classes! I was so excited to find that this studio finally opened closer to where my parents live (I live in Dallas, TX and didn't want my trips coming back home to be left barre-less) :) My first class was with Nicole Breen - what a gem of an instructor! She knew that I was taking classes elsewhere and that this was a temporary thing, but still showed me the same courtesy and attention as she would have if I was a prospective full timer. She taught the class with such calmness and ease, you would have thought she had been doing this her whole life! The second day, I had the pleasure of taking class from Deihdra. Also an impeccable teacher! I had slept wrong the night before and still (unwisely) made the decision to go to class - lo and behold, I had to duck out early as my shoulder developed a cramp that wasn't allowing me to even turn my neck. Both Deihdra and Nicole emailed me that same evening to ask if I was ok and if they could do anything. How sweet! I can't wait to go back home JUST so I can take class with these sweet girls again (and hopefully meet some more of their fab instructors!) :) read more

The Pure Barre studio in Wyckoff Boulder Run shopping area is a terrific place for getting a great workout. Programs are designed so you do what you can and the instructors provide suggestions for modifications throughout the exercise session. They offer a variety of exercise sessions from classic to empower to reform and have also added " intensive" sessions that focus on specific body areas. The instructors will ask if you wish them to help you with corrections and do so carefully. If you watch your diet ( I do like to eat so I'm flexible with this) and attend regularly you will definitely see results! I've been going to the studio for years and can definitely say it's better than a regular gym and what they have to offer. If you have an issue with the studio in any way it is always addressed professionally. Clean and even has air filtration system installed! read more

Friendly staff and clean studio! All of the equipment and carpeting in the studio is clean along with their bathroom and locker area. They have a water dispenser, but sell water bottles as well. When you purchase anything, you don't have to struggle to get your wallet out because they just charge the card you have on file. read more

I joined Pure Barre in Wycoff after a Pilates friend joined. It is a full-body workout (with stretching) that allows me to exercise in a clean, friendly studio ( the teachers make it a point to know your name the first day you are there). The class stresses that for 50 minutes of class it is all about YOU and all for YOU: your strength, your balance, your coordination, your grace, your muscles, your nutrition, your fun, and your convenience. I am usually one of the oldest class members, but even though I have never been a dancer or gymnast, I can keep up with the class most of the time, with a few modifications when it comes to my past surgeries or weaknesses. The price is very reasonable (many of us who have joined recently are school teachers who get a reduced rate), and the staff is eager to help you succeed and give special shout-outs on your success milestones such as your 100th class. (Some women have hit their 250th class and one woman I met hit her 500th class.). Prizes, games, and various workshops keep your exercising interesting throughout the year. I highly recommend Pure Barre in Wycoff for keeping me enthused and interested and interested. (I've also lost 2 dress sizes and 25 pounds since I joined last June.!) I read more

I love Pure Barre, and this studio is no different, but the prices are completely ridiculous and astronomical! For example, when Pure Barre runs their "specials" they have 40 classes for $600-$615 but in Pittsburgh my sister gets the same deal at her Pure Barre for $250! That's less than half the price! There is no reason 40 classes should cost $600 ON SALE. read more
