The BEST florist in town! The shop is adorable and all dressed up for the holidays. A pleasure to visit just for the eye candy. Bouquets look even better than the website pictures. Don't waist your money at 1-800 Flowers or Teleflora where flowers come in a box not even bloomed yet. The gal who owns this shop puts love into every bouquet and a personal touch. She switched out some flowers for me and texted me a picture of the bouquet before sending it just to make sure I approved. My cousin has been coming to Cypress Florist for a long time, and during my most recent visit to LA, she brought me here so we could pick up an arrangement to place at Forest Lawn for our papa. On the short drive from LGB to the shop, I already had an idea of what kind of arrangement I wanted to get. I definitely wanted a big variety of flowers with lots of color. My mind was set. We pull up to Cypress Florist and walk inside. It's a good sized shop with a big variety to choose from. I see a petite woman (who I'm assuming is the owner) come out from the back with an arrangement that she had just finished putting together. She asked what type of arrangement we needed and I told her that we wanted the one in her hands! It was so beautiful. The arrangement was just as I had pictured in my head. The flowers were fresh and vibrant, at least 10 different types in the arrangement. It even included my fav, dainty Baby's Breath. She was more than happy to sell us the flowers and even cut the stems so that they would fit in the mausoleum vases. It was almost as if that particular arrangement was made especially for my papa. I knew he loved it! The customer service we received from the florist was great and the prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the product! The owner was so sweet! She had us correspond via text and it worked comfortably and perfectly, from my sending of full details on color preferences and event time and location, to her confirmation and reassurance, to her texting a pic of the finished product with a day to spare, and my final approval. Absolutely the worst Florist to go to! After many many years of ordering flowers from these people for my Employer, friends and family, when my Dad passed away of course we went there to order flowers for his service. We decided on a beautiful arrangement costing several hundred dollars and when it arrived for the service it HORRIBLE every bit of it was wilted and sagging, it was the worst looking arrangement there. We actually moved it behind another group of flowers so it wasn't really noticeable AND it was to be the center arrangement for the service with my Dads picture next to it. We will NEVER buy from this florist again nor will we recommend them to anyone! read more

Stopped in for the annual birthday bouquet and was absolutely thrilled with what we left with. She took one of the refrigerated bouquets and freshened it up with new colorful stems. After 20+ years of ordering all of our flowers from Cerritos Florist and loving the quality of and beautiful arrangements, something changed (new ownership, perhaps?). My daughter and I ordered, in-person, two dozen long stem *orange* roses more than a month ahead of time. When ordering, Susan who helped us said that *orange* long stem roses were not a problem but being one week after Mother's Day the price would be just under $200. We happily paid knowing that we've always been delighted with their flowers. When we arrived to pick up the roses and start the two hour drive to San Diego for a college graduation, we were shown "Double-Delights" which are dark pink and white. Beautiful, but definitely NOT orange. So, I questioned if these were the correct roses. Susan explained that they were indeed orange... or what she considered orange. When that didn't convince me that the order was correct, I pointed out that if the color specified was not available, a courtesy phone call would have been appropriate, as opposed to the surprise. Susan then explained that she was not the person who took the order, that the person in the back of the shop took the order, which was not true. Having a graduation to attend we accepted the flowers, Double-Delights are beautiful and smell nice, but there was significance regarding the orange roses. As I was about to put the roses in the car I noticed that they didn't have the vials of water attached to each rose as promised. I went back into the shop ask if this was accidentally overlooked. Nope, I was told there was a shortage of materials and that's why the premium roses were not in water. Again, this would have been fine if a phone call had been made to give a heads up. For the record, I did not ask for anything in exchange for the basically botched order except for next time to make a phone call to manage expectations. I get it, sometimes things don't go as planned. But to make the order in-person and be given something else entirely is very disappointing. I'm hoping this was a glitch as I have another order with them for two table arrangements this Sunday for my brother-in-law's memorial service and my mother-in-law specifically requested *red* roses. Fingers crossed! read more

Panicked, I asked her if I could pick up this arrangement same day, and she kindly responded, "When can you stop by?" The arrangement is stunning and my mom loved it! Susan gave me extra flowers too and explained the difference in buying quality flowers. When I handled flower bouquets from other sellers, I had to handle them very carefully to avoid falling petals. Similarly, I usually have to pick a bouquet with the least dead or dying flowers. These flowers are really sturdy and each and every one is healthy and looks pristine. I ordered flowers for my friend's funeral earlier and told owner I would like calla lilies, as it was my friend's favorite flower. When I picked up my arrangement, I did not see any calla lilies. I was very disappointed, especially since I specified to place calla lilies in the arrangement. When bringing up the previous agreement we made, the owner ignored my requests and talked around the issue, gesturing to the variety of flowers in my arrangement, and how in comparison to the other customers, mine was significantly cheaper. After half-heartedly watching her stick in two calla lilies for show, I left the shop. In the end, I had to find somewhere else that had calla lilies on my own. The store owner was friendly, and a very good conversationalist, but her attention to detail is lacking. I believe her vibrant flower arrangements are suitable for weddings, but not for funerals. read more
