There are a variety of popular scrub massage options that I did not try this time around. The downstairs co-ed dry saunas were a bit underwhelming. The saunas were comfortably warm and had blankets to rest on. These saunas didn't seem to be for the purposes of detoxing since they were at a moderate temperature. However, I was charged a higher amount at check-in. When I questioned the charge, I showed the front desk that all three sources still reflected the lower price. After speaking with a coworker, it became clear I had been overcharged, and I was refunded the difference. What disappointed me wasn't the mistake--it was the explanation afterward. I was told the price had changed "some time ago," even though every published price I could verify still reflected the original amount. To make matters more confusing, another guest who checked in immediately after me was charged the published price for her service. Mistakes happen, and I appreciate that the refund was processed. However, I would have preferred a simple acknowledgment that an error was made rather than explanations that didn't match what was being displayed to customers. The spa services themselves remain excellent, but I hope management improves consistency and training at the front desk so future guests have a smoother check-in experience.
