I really liked the ambiance of this place. It's a chill, trendy, mature crowd that enjoys great food & drinks. The food was good quality but not all the dishes were so tasty. I ordered the Cacio Pepe. It was ok. Nothing special. My date ordered the Genovese pasta & it was delicious. Drinks are good. Overall a nice atmosphere & good experience. went on opening week, I will have to go back as they definitely were still working out all of their kinks. the waiter that was assisting us throughout the evening was very soft spoken which made it difficult to hear the options. overall the portions are just as you would expect for Miami, small and pricey. The best thing we ate was the anchovy pasta. The flavor was on point, i just wish there was more. The second best dish was the swordfish, which came out in a serving of two steaks with a small side of veggies. The shrimp noodles were depressing, of which the sauce overpowered the shrimp. If I am ever asked to come back I will stick with the pasta and not venture onto the other dishes. Overall this place is not a must come back to but is definitely a place I may check out again in the future as the restaurant grows its legs. read more

We were a little disappointed with the food. Service was excellent - owner was super engaged and helpful. Decor attractive - very good happy hour prices on the cocktails but the food in our mind was lacking. Calamari was average and then the cheese ball was also average but the price for that appetizer was $40 - double that of the pasta and since it was a special the price on the menu. Having said that the pasta was solid and the swordfish excellent - however the express was tiny and not great and the dessert was poor and we barely had any. Overall we were disappointed as we had heard good things about restaurant- might try again but can't be that uneven i quality which extended to the wine. read more

Do not even bother making a reservation at this place. I arrived on time for the reservation I made 5 days in advanced. The hostess was nice, but did not really know how to handle the fact that they had no table available for us, not her fault really, so we agreed to wait a few minutes as we understood they were running behind. 45 minutes passed, they still had no table for us, and did not seem to be bothered about it either, they did not care at all. Stopped in for lunch yesterday to take advantage of Miami Spice. Danilo, our server, was so nice. The restaurant was quaint, trendy, and clean, and also had an open patio. There is very limited parking on the block but...it's Wynwood. Now to the food. AMAZING mussels! They had just the right amount of garlic. Although it was listed as an appetizer, the portion size was main dish to me. I also had the eggplant parmigiana. Delicious. For dessert, the berries with almond slices concoction was good. I couldn't finish because of the other two dishes. Although I went with the Miami Spice menu, the regular menu had a lot of dishes to try at reasonable prices. I will definitely be back! read more

So, virtually every time we go out to eat in Miami I leave with buyer's remorse feeling like I ate some mediocre food for way too much money. I am happy to say this was not such an experience. Now.... we were at doma for happy hour and not dinner but I very much felt like I had great food at a good value. We tried every item on the happy hour menu and each was delicious. We also tried four different cocktails, all good. The total? $65. We will definitely be back. The only reason they lost a star is because they forgot about us and I had to walk to find our server to get the check to pay... which kinda sucked. read more

Beautiful new addition to Wynwood.The patio area is lovely . Some of the food could use some improvement in flavors .We ordered some appetizers, the shrimp and tuna crudo. The presentation was nicely done. The flavor of sauce was a little bland .The pasta dishes were excellent , we had one with mozzarella, one with the rague sauce.Pasta was perfectly cooked al dente , the ossobuco was tender, the snapper was moist. The service was fantastic which is rare in this neighborhood. When we asked for the check ,the waiter made a small mistake which the manager promptly solved . read more

A group of eight (picky lawyers) dined here. Luca, Giovanni and Daniello made it a night to remember. The soft boiled egg soup was unique and off the menu. Yum!! Calamari was tender and not oily. More please!! Homemade pasta and risotto served tableside was fresh and full of flavor. The filet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Tiramisu was one of the best around. Bananas flambé were incredibly delicious. The service was outstanding and decor very relaxing. Last but not least, the WINE! Great selection of Italian wines but not huge Miami prices. This was one of the worst meals I've ever experienced. I was super excited to try Dōma based on the reviews. Sadly it was extremely disappointing on both the food and service fronts. First, I reserved a table for 2 at 8:15pm for my best friends birthday. When we got there, we were seated at the very first table in the restaurant by the hostess stand. Admittedly, not the best or most comfortable seat in the house. We planned to have a cocktail and while we waited for our bottle of wine to open up. It took 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us, so we were literally sitting there just looking around. I had to ask the hostess for a cocktail menu and wine list. Finally, as we are looking for a wine, a server comes and gives us the food menu right on top of the wine list we are looking at... weird but ok. It takes another 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and by that time we had already decided what we wanted to eat. We ordered calamari, beef tartare, tagliatelle pasta, and porcini mushroom pasta that had truffles on it. The cocktail that we had was really good but I can't remember the name of it. The wine was also good. We went for a Barolo. The appetizers came and one of them was wrong. They brought us the octopus instead of the calamari. The waiter told us it was on the house. We are both huge fans of octopus so it was fine, just a little annoying that all of these attention to details were being missed. The octopus was cooked fine, but tasted literally terrible. It had a fishy taste. We had one bite of it. The beef tartare was also just not that great. The calamari were good, but it's kind of hard to mess up calamari. It was a bit salty but that's common in American restaurants. Finally our main courses come and I'm honestly not that excited and kind of just want to leave at this point. Our waiter never really checked in on us. Maybe he had too many tables? Idk. But obviously if your guests don't eat any of the food on the table there's something wrong. Don't think he cared though. The tagliatelle pasta was good and so was the porcini one but nothing I'll be going back for. The porcini pasta had a one dimensional flavor so if you do get that, split and get something else too. This is a weird random detail but their chairs are extremely uncomfortable because they don't have arm rests. There were points I literally didn't know what to do with my body because you're forced to just sit straight up with your hands in your lap. Just really uncomfortable and we couldn't stop laughing about it. Finally we were ready to just get out of there and I tried to hunt down our waiter but he was no where to be seen. I had to ask the hostess for our bill TWICE. it was very annoying and again we didn't eat any of the food and he didn't ask if we liked it. Overall it was just a very bad experience with subpar food and I will literally never go back there after spending $200 on the worst meal of my life. Lol read more

Absolutely amazing! Got there at 7:30 to my surprise happy hour was still on until 8:00!!! Had great happy hour app selections, I had the calamari, lobster arepas, meatballs, & prosciutto!!! Fantastic! There was a birthday in the dining room the chefs put on top hats and sang into whisks happy birthday through their open kitchen!!! Will I be back??? Um yes!!! I live a few blocks from here and just found out the location today as I was walking my dog getting food across the street at ironically enough D.O.G. !!! The service was great but the entrees were way overpriced. I ordered a shrimp pasta dish and it only came with which felt like one piece of shrimp chopped up into smaller pieces! I would expect more for a roughly 30$ entree. The appetizer we ordered was good though( octopus). Came here after accidentally mixing up the date of a reservation at another place nearby, and WOW -- best mix up I've ever made. Everything we ordered was delicious: the fried calamari, burrata salad, sweet and spicy salmon (phenomenal) with mashed potatoes, creme brûlée for dessert, and rosé for drinks. Even the service was amazing. Staff made us feel at home right away! It was the perfect evening and a great spot for an intimate night with your partner or family. :-) read more

Doma is a modern looking place located on a dead end street with no private parking or valet. Service was ok. I ordered a mushroom risotto. It came cold, on the hard side and very small for the $24 they asked for. My wife ordered a simple pasta with shrimps on a pink sauce. Again not very tasty, cold and a very small portion. Desert was a chocolate cake with ice cream with a hard salty cracker on the bottom. It looked like a sample portion. In all, not worthy of a 5 star rating. At best 1 star. I've had better tasting Italian food at a franchise. read more

I went to dinner at Dōma with my friends last night and had the best time! We ordered the linguine vongole, salmon and pistachio crushed tuna steak and everything was delicious. When you walk into a restaurant and it is so loud you can't understand the hostess, you know it's gonna be a challenge. Fortunately, an outside patio provided relief from the din. The chef's seeming exaggeration is its olive oil left the pasta, steak, and even the fish a bit heavy, but, there were some pros. The desserts were fantastic (tiramisu and almond fruit basket) and the crab cake and eggplant apps were spectacular! And this time when we asked for the Miami Spice menu, the waiter didn't glare at us in disdain!!! As a matter of fact the waiter and assistant and manager were delightful. Wish we could give 1/2 stars because this was not quite a 4, but close and worth trying again! (At a minimum for the desserts) read more

Took my wife here for her birthday in December during art basel. We ordered a chef special (large steak) and a few other things off the menu that came highly recommended. The food was subpar. Best dinner and service ! We were a group of 6 celebrating an anniversary. The bar service was friendly and efficient , the staff is eager to please. The aperol spritz was perfect, it's a simple mix but not everyone gets it right, but this one was just perfect!! We had the Branzino for two, which was one of the specials for the day. The server brought it over on a table with a heat lamp and filleted it at table side, very fresh and delicious with a side of fingerling potatoes. Simple and delicious and exceptional presentation. Others in our group had filet mignon and osso bucco and those dishes were just as delicious and beautifully presented. Honestly, lately we've grown accustomed to subpar service in many eateries so we were very pleasantly surprised to find Doma did not disappoint us in any category. The food, the ambiance and the Service made for a truly wonderful dinner experience. A shout out to our server Igor, from Milan!! Very knowledgeable and attentive. My girlfriend and I came here last night for Valentines Day, we showed up 15 minutes before our reservation and were sat promptly. We sat on the patio 1. We didn't get menus for about 10 minutes 2. We chose sparking water and received it but within 5 minutes a staff member came by and poured tap water over our sparking water so we needed to request new water. Two staff members attempted to correct this mistake at the same time. Then argued right next to our table. 3. My girlfriends martini took about 15 minutes to receive, the couple next to us ordered their drinks 5 minutes after her and got their drinks first. 4. They brought me the wrong meal, the filet instead of the tuna, but they did bring the correct meal promptly after I corrected them. 5. Immediately after we finished dessert, but before our check was brought to the table the waiter came by to let us know that they were closing the patio and we needed to leave our table or go to the bar. 6. The check listed 2 beers when we had only purchased one. The funny thing is we would've happily had another drink if the waiter would have asked. No last call was given either. 7. Every table in the restaurant received a rose after dinner, my girlfriend never received a rose. 8. When they asked us to leave, they had already rearranged the tables inside and gathered around for the managers (or somebody's) birthday while we were left outside unattended. 9. The food was outstanding but unfortunately the experience was ruined by absolutely awful service. 10. There was zero effort or attempt to make up for these short comings. I don't think I've ever left a yelp review, but we live in West Palm Beach, drove an hour and a half down to Miami for what should've been a great dinner. We won't get the night back or the hours were wasted. There is plenty of phenomenal food in Miami, go somewhere that at least has mediocre service. read more

Doomed Doma- This was the worst place I've been to in a long time. It took almost 2 hours from the time we sat to the time our dinner arrived. No one ever came by to apologize or give us an explanation. They tried to make up for it with a dessert and after dinner drink that we weren't really in the mood for.
