    Mandolin is absolutely the real deal for fun delicious dining in Miami. Before the food you are welcomed by an incredible array of plants and wooden tables that takes you out of the business of Miami into a much more fun picturesque dream. The outdoor space is absolutely marvelous and I love how much greenery there was around the restaurant. We went for our anniversary celebration and it was all we could have hoped for! The food was exquisite. The best being the wood oven roasted beech mushrooms which I could easily eat every day. The dumplings were also amazing and I loved the side bread the give you to sip up the sauce. Needless to say this was an amazing experience. It's a little hard to make reservations but if you can make it done miss it!

    We went here on a girls trip to Miami and it was the perfect dinner spot! It's in what looks like an old home so is very cozy and ambience is rustic and inviting. Service was excellent! Loved the Turkish sampler, zucchini chips and stuffed tomato and peppers. The house bread was also delicious and served warm! They even threw a chocolate sorbet on the house for me which was decadent and perfectly not too sweet. My fave meal of the trip and would def come back. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand

    We made a reservation for early afternoon Sunday. They were packed, so highly recommend a reservation as it did look like they were turning people away. Parking on the street is very limited and the nearest valet is a couple streets away. We were seated quickly and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We loved the prawns & the Ali Nazik! Seating was outside and it was a very hot day, although they have fans, towards the end & especially after eating the heat was uncomfortable

    I've seen so many people recommend this spot, so had to add it to our itinerary when I planned a trip back to Miami! First off, the outside is so cute and perfect spot for pictures! I also love that it's near the main part of the Design District, so you can easily shop around and then come to dinner afterwards. Me and my friend ordered the Wood-Oven Roasted Oyster Mushrooms for the appetizer to split and got the famous Whole Mediterranean Sea Bass for our entree. I never really order mushrooms as an appetizer, but I loved them! The dip was the perfect accompaniment as well. The fish was cooked great and very flaky. I also loved that they debone the fish for you! I'd say I wish the fish had a little more flavor, but that'd be the only comment. Service here was great! I'd definitely recommend making a reservation, since this spot was very packed when we visited.

    I mean Mandolin has been one of my favorite spots in the city for years now. From my college celebration dinner, to my first date with my fiancé to all the lovely celebrations in between and after it just always guarantees me a 5 star experience. But just when I thought it couldn't get any better, our server Christopher made our experience simply exceptional. We were a table of 6, including a baby and he just made us feel so comfortable, was super accommodating and even gave us a few goodies to try like the Waho crudo (Chef Alejandro's new addition to the menu which was simply phenomenal!). We were celebrating something very special and our table was chaotic, loud, and fun, adding 5 star service to that equation simply made our night so much more memorable. As for the food, the best part of course -- we got the lobster orzo, mezze platter, mante dumplings, chicken skewers, kofta, baked feta, crudos, vino, and a few sides for the table. Each dish was made to perfection. All my favorites! I just love it so much here!

    I went to this restaurant with my friends in September during vacation and I can confidently say I think about this restaurant often. We ordered around 5-6 plates to share and almost everything we got tasted excellent. The flavors were bold, earthy, and everything came fresh. My favorite was the flatbread With the figs on top (I think it was a seasonal item) and the mantl dumplings. It started to rain heavily towards the end of our lunch so we decided to stay a little bit longer to keep us out of the rain. The staff ended up giving us a dessert for free! It was a honey pie I believe, and it tasted SO good. I'll for sure have to come back here next time I end up in Miami.

    A taste of the Mediterranean in Miami. Everything we had was delicious. We ordered the Turkish sampler which included hummus, smoked eggplant dip, and a tomato/walnut "salsa" with a healthy serving of crudités. We were delighted by how many veggies were on the platter: Romain lettuce, cucumber, endive, radish, purple and orange carrots, and tomato. Such a delicious afternoon snack. We also tried the Ali Nazik: ground lamb atop an eggplant yogurt dip. Light and savory. Both dishes came with bread which came in handy to sop up the tomato relish and the yogurt from the Ali Nazik. My only regret is that we came for an afternoon snack not lunch or dinner to try a more substantial meal. Note: the seating is interesting. We were first seated right next to the patio entrance which was under a tree with many birds. After a near collision of bird droppings on our belongings, we asked for another table. Luckily, we were able to get seating in the back which was another courtyard. Much quieter.

    Why I'll go back: Ali Nanik! You HAVE to order: Ali Nazik! Tony's Tip: Ali Nazik! (okay, I'll throw you another bone - ask to sit in the main dining area, not inside or on the side patio) The wife and I have been here on both of our trips to Miami this year. Mandolin was the first restaurant several people have mentioned over the years as a recommendation, so we were going to make that happen, even if it is a hike from Miami Beach. We had such a scrumptious lunch the first time, we knew we would be back. The setting is all outdoors, save for a handful of inside tables. A mix of basic tarps, scattered plants, and trees that were preserved within the confines of the space all create an ambience of calm and healthy eating (which may or may not be the case). This being our second visit, we went back to the well on a couple of items and tried two new ones. Speaking of wells (a loose segue), we decided to order a pitcher of white sangria. It was very refreshing, and despite our best efforts, we didn't get to the bottom (of the well...drink...segue over). You know when you crave a particular dish at a restaurant so much that it's the reason you want to go back? Not the atmosphere, not the service, not the broad cuisine, but THAT dish. Not every restaurant has that, but for me Mandolin's Ali Nazik is THAT dish. It's a warm preparation of ground lamb on top of smoked eggplant yogurt. You can eat it straight or spread it on pita. I guarantee if you're dining here because you like Mediterranean cuisine, this is the dish to get. Nearly everything at Mandolin is sent out as shareable.The tuna crudo was amazing - it was more like marinated tuna sashimi, and the capers flavored it up a touch. I also really liked the baked feta with cherry tomatoes (a repeat order), which came out sizzling. The Greek Village salad was competent. Last time, we ordered the zucchini chips (they were fine) and spicy lobster orzo (tasty, but a large and heavy dish). Prices are reasonable, service is efficient, and again, it's a nice outdoor setting. I am told that the scene at night is an even cooler vibe. That hasn't worked out for us timing-wise yet, but we'll definitely be back for another go-round...and some Ali Nazik!

    Got here about 7pm on a week day as a walk in and was told there was going to be a 45 min wait but ended up being less time. My favorite dish were the sirloin meat balls. So tender and the sauce was great too. The village salad was good. The stuffed tomato and peppers came out kind of cold. Wouldn't order that again. The fries were ok. Overall it was just ok. Kind of disappointed bc I remembered it being so much better having come for lunch a few times previously. The outdoor is super pretty in the evening though.

    Excellent Turkish Mezze (appetizer) with plenty of fresh vegetables. This appetizer is good for 4 people. The meatballs are more like cutlets are delicious specially if you ask them not to overcook - I have visited this restaurant twice and both times they cooked the hell out of these meatballs. The chicken kebab was also way overcooked and totally dry. The mousaka dish was delicious and highly recommended. Service was good and the ambiance is delightful. If you are visiting this restaurant be very specific that they should not overcook the food.

It a wrap that was cut in form of sushi. It was good. I was hesitant about ordering chicken wings but I'm so glad we did because they were so delicious and crispy. They may have been the best chicken wing I've had. The service was excellent. I accidentally dropped my cocktail and they immediately cleaned it up and moved us to another clean table. I apologized for dropping it but not once did they made me feel bad about it. Instead, one of the staff stated it was an indication of having a great time. They also replaced my drink at no extra cost. A guy, who I assumed was the manager or owner, also passed by our table and ensured we were enjoying our time. Our server mistakenly brought me the wrong drink that I ordered, but I did not mind it because I actually loved the Moroccan Mojito and instead ordered another one. I also loved how they have copper cups because it makes water taste so much better. Their attention to small details like that makes the difference. Overall, I felt so welcomed and definitely have to return for more chicken wings.

That said, we would still recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, service, and many of the other menu items -- just skip the steaks.

For context, I worked in fine dining in New York and Miami for almost 20 years, so I notice the details immediately, hospitality, management presence, the energy of a room. You can usually tell pretty quickly what kind of operation you're dealing with. We were a party of five. I arrived with my four-year-old son and was greeted warmly by the hostess. That warmth ended instantly. Standing directly behind her were two managers in suits blocking the main entrance. Both looked straight at me and my child and said absolutely nothing. No hello, no smile, no acknowledgment. Anyone in hospitality knows that moment sets the tone. As an Arab woman who grew up around a culture where hospitality is everything, it was already a bad sign. We were seated outside and the vibe stayed cold. Unfortunately, the food matched it. We ordered a lot because I genuinely wanted to give the kitchen a fair shot. I grew up eating Lebanese food and what stood out most was the lack of soul. Everything felt flat, like it needed salt, lemon, brightness, that warm Mediterranean seasoning Lebanese food is known for. The tabouli was especially shocking. A $20+ tabouli with no bulgur that was so roughly chopped it was basically whole parsley leaves and slices of onion. Any Lebanese auntie would die at the sight of it. At one point I asked our server if they had harissa or any kind of spicy sauce. She said the only option was Sriracha. In a Lebanese restaurant that charges $18 for a tablespoon of hummus. An Asian chili sauce as the only option. What made it even stranger is that harissa is listed on multiple dishes on the menu, so it clearly exists somewhere in the building. I asked for the Sriracha anyway out of desperation for flavor. It never came. Same with ketchup for my toddler's fries, it took three requests. Throughout the meal I walked around the restaurant several times taking my son to the bathroom, looking around the space, even going upstairs to the lounge. Not a single person acknowledged us. Not a host, not a server, not a manager. The bar is right by the entrance and every time we looked over at the bartender and bar manager, just blank stares. At one point we were clearly standing there confused looking for the bathroom in an empty restaurant and still had to say "Excuse me, where is the bathroom?" Wild. Later I walked up to the bar myself to ask if they carried mezcal. After dinner I went back to order one. Same energy--zero warmth, zero engagement. And this is with an automatic 20% gratuity already on the bill. The mezcal was a $25 two-ounce pour and I still had to ask for an orange slice garnish because no one offered it. Empty bar, two people behind it, and I still had to request it. Also worth noting, our reservation was at 5:45pm and the restaurant was practically empty. Yet I didn't see a single manager walking the floor, greeting tables, or checking on guests. I had talked this place up to my party because I'd been so curious about it for years, and it was honestly a huge letdown. If you know Lebanese food and understand Middle Eastern warmth and hospitality, this probably isn't the place for you. Expect cold, almost nonexistent hospitality and food that feels stripped of the soul that makes Lebanese cuisine special. The space is beautiful. I'll give them that. Everything else felt like a very on-brand Miami disappointment, what happens when you give people a beautiful restaurant, expensive food, automatic gratuity, and no leadership. From the lack of authenticity and attention to detail, it's hard to believe anyone truly Lebanese is behind this operation. If anything, it feels more like a polished money grab. Honestly, it might have been less jarring if they just called themselves "Mediterranean" like so many other places in this city. But if you're going to call yourself a Lebanese restaurant, the culture and hospitality should actually be there.

At first, the General Manager, CECILIA , confirmed that we arrived with the bag and stated they were reviewing all camera footage. However, despite multiple requests, we were never shown the arrival footage or provided clear evidence proving what happened to the bag. The communication became increasingly contradictory, and instead of transparency and professional assistance, we were eventually accused of acting "fraudulently" and formally trespassed from the property. What shocked us most was not only the disappearance of a valuable personal item, but the way loyal customers were treated afterward: no transparency, no proper cooperation, no accountability, and accusations without clear proof. We remained respectful throughout the entire process and simply asked for clear confirmation regarding the footage. Instead, the situation escalated into accusations and threats of trespassing. If personal belongings can disappear inside a restaurant and management responds this way, guests should seriously think twice before leaving valuables there. At this point, we sincerely hope the restaurant owner or upper management reviews this situation carefully, conducts a proper internal investigation into how this matter was handled, and contacts us directly in hopes of reaching a fair resolution regarding both the significant financial loss and the emotional distress we experienced as a result of this situation and the unfounded accusations made against us. We are still open to direct communication with the restaurant owner or upper management in hopes of resolving this situation professionally and fairly.

We hadn't even started eating. My wife's dish and mine were passable, but the $39 wagyu burger for my 10‑year‑old was so bad he couldn't eat it and ended up crying. The fries were beaten up, stale, and tasted like they'd been reheated three times. When I told the waitress, she brushed it off with a useless "okay" and walked away. No apology, no fix, no manager -- nothing. For a city like Coral Gables, this place is an embarrassment. Terrible service, cheap ingredients, premium prices, and zero accountability. Even my son said we should've gone to Shake Shack because at least they respect customers and serve edible food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
