Nice Italian restaurant in the White Pond area. Sunday night Rez. It was nice they were open for our group of 8. 1) very good service. 2) Caesar was excellent. 3) carbonara special could have used more sauce and the peas were over cooked. 4) nice Chianti by the glass 5) nice tiramisu Bathroom was exceptional. Thank you!

Great! This is where the locals go! Menu is vast with something for everyone! Gluten free options as well. House bread is delicious! Location is convenient! Kendra our server was knowledgeable about food and had great recommendations. Restaurant was cute with outdoor seating available weather dependent. If in the area would go back! German Chocolate cake delicious! The pork chop spot on!

Great service, plenty of delicious choices, cozy atmosphere, what more can you ask for for a great meal with friends on a Saturday evening? HUGE portions, from the apps (we had baked artichoke and arancini) and salmon, ravioli, gnocchi, and eggplant parm. entrees. All WONDERFUL... Come hungry, it's a great spot for a dinner with friends, special occasion, or just a regular night out. Definitely something for just about everyone... Veg. choices were great, including my eggplant parm. Be sure to save room for their tempting desserts!! Check them out if you're in the area...

D'Agnese's is a great place for dinner, or even lunch during the week. The service is nice, and they start you off with bread and this delicious Balsamic dressing with a roasted garlic clove in it. Their D'Agnese's Chicken, with lemon butter sauce is my favorite thing on the menu, with a side of the linguini with garlic and oil sauce. I also like that they have a patio area for nicer days.

Great restaurant in Akron off of White Pond. We love the D'Agnese's in Broadview Heights, so we were happy to try this location. Nice looking place with a large number of tables. We had a party of eight and they accommodated us without a problem. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I ordered the pan seared scallops with risotto. The scallops were perfectly cooked, light pan sear on the outside yet still soft and easy to eat. The risotto was delicious. We shared a beet salad which was delicious and unique. Certainly only for beet fans, we loved it. My gf had the chicken Marsala and raved about the dish. Her meal came with a pasta side: a simple spaghetti with marinara. So delicious. I love their sauces. We'd definitely return if in the area. Good food and service.

We were able to get in without a reservation. I might suggest making one as they were fairly busy on Saturday night. We sat in the lounge area which was very comfortable and we had sports on the TV's! I started with a roasted beet salad which was truly amazing. In my world anything with beets is worthy. My entree was gluten free pasta with marinara and sausage. Excellent sauce. I accompanied this with a Peach Basil Sangria. I loved the fresh fruit in the drink which of course included peaches.

We have dined here many times in the past. We have always had a very positive experience. This visit was no exception. The food was excellent, so much so that we almost always order the same thing. You might say, stick with a winner. The fried artichokes are always very tasty and they make several excellent and reasonably priced veal dishes. We had a beet salad this time and enjoyed it. There was one notable difference at this visit. It was my wife's birthday and our server did a marvelous job of bring out a delicious chocolate desert with a candle just at the right time. I don't know how many times and at some really fancy places they managed to forget or ruin the surprise. The way our server handled the birthday made the trip worthwhile.

Food and service were great! Ambiance is nice, very cozy and Italian. We had a table of 6 in a corner and it was very loud and hard to have a conversation at normal speaking levels. But I would definitely come back and would like to sit in the lounge bar area. There were plenty of menu options for every kind of diet. We had a birthday celebration and were surprised with two cannelloni's with a candle. I remember going to the original restaurant in seven hills 40 years ago!!!!

Market St, it would be easy to miss. It is billed as a neighborhood lounge and like many bars of this kind, is in a struggle to maintain their decades-long reputation while also keeping up with the times. It is dimly-lit, cozy and has old, comfortable bar stools that have backs. As a drinker, this (bar stools with back support) is very important for me. I will not dedicate myself to an afternoon of drinking in a place that will leave me with lower back pain. If you're hungry, you won't find any provisions heartier than a bag of chips or beef jerky. The bartenders are generally middle-aged woman who have probably worked in bars their entire lives. This is not a dig on these woman. They are fantastic characters who probably deserve to have a short story written about them. They are the type who can put up with the ramblings of old men who drink pounders of Busch all afternoon, break up an argument over whose team is better AND make you a strong cocktail while calling you "honey". The bar has a ton of history. My parents remember it back (at least 40 years ago) when it was the Bowery, a piano bar with peanut shells all over the floor. In an time when most bars have Twitter accounts, Nickelby's still does not have a website or Facebook page. They do have karaoke on the weekends and great drink specials seven days a week. If you're looking for something different than your favorite Highland Square haunt, check out Nickelby's. You make get a little good-natured ribbing about your tattoos or haircut from the regulars, but you will be rewarded with a quick, strong cocktail and a glimpse at where my parents used to party.

But the karaoke is pretty awful. When the dj has to perform his own karaoke it's pretty bad. The decor is awful and it's only the people that make it a nice place to hang out. I plan on attending Open Mic night on Wednesday just to see how it is. So the jury is still out.
