Our party of 6, namely us and the kiddo's and family, returned for Santa's annual one nite appearance here. It's a very popular event, and we got the last two parking spots in their big parking lot for a Sunday evening reservation at 5:45pm. Getting photos with Santa was quick and easy and we did it during the 40 minute pizza prep time. There were no reindeer this time, as there were two years ago but it's not a biggie. I'll go with a 4.49 star rating for our outing. Most of what we had was quite fine except for the medium deep dish with spinach and Italian beef ($29.45). It was overpowered with a bitter spinach taste and the Italian beef was not particularly well mixed in the pie. Everything else we had, which was as follows for the record, was very good and satisfying. - pretzel sticks appetizer, $9.95 - 1/2 lb calamari, $15.95 - kid's cheese pizza, $8.95 - kid's grilled cheese with tator tots, $7.95 - large 16" thin sausage and mushroom pizza, $29.55 - medium 12" deep dish spinach and Italian beef pizza, $29.45 - 22 oz mug of A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' IPA, $8.00 - 22 oz mug of Octoberfest Winter Lager, $7.50 The big and refreshing beers were a great deal btw. There is a 3% credit card fee (down from 4% charged 2 years ago anyway). If you have kids in your party, pizza night here with Santa has been a consistently fun and festive holiday event.

    Terrible chicken marsala

Horrible food I was there for a graduation lunch. I ordered chicken Marsala with minestrone soup. Let's start with the soup watery with very little ingredients just awful to call that minestrone. The chicken marsala was overcooked and tough, and the noodles were undercooked and sticky very un appetizing. The sauce covering the dish was an unreduced wine watery no flavor except the strong wine. horrible flavor. Here's a picture of what I didn't eat. My family ordered pizza and it was also an embarrassment to call that pizza bland thin, bad flavors. I would not recommend anything from this restaurant. Not very clean the utensils weren't clean poorly wrapped in a napkin. Went into the washroom and the paper towel dispenser was empty, and a roll was sitting on the counter for me to tear apart the role myself with my hands disgusting. Awful

Xl pizza! Hope it fits in the car

Really great place to stop and take a pizza to go! We always get it well done so it gets a little bit more of a crispy crust, but the sauce is sweet and the pizza is delicious! And definitely ask for some Parmesan cheese to go with it, and truly worth it for some deals that they have for carry out on Wednesday. And don't waste time with delivery just go pick it up. They're really quick at the counter!

    What I was charged

Just ordered takeout . Missing item; called to inquire; was told I would be comp't for missing item. ok. Then I was reviewing my receipt. Was charged 19.90 for an eight piece chicken strip. On the website it is listed at 11.95. Website says updated less than one day ago. Called to ask why there is such a large discrepancy and was told that it is just not updated and 19.90 is the real price for eight piece chicken strips with nothing else added! That is an outrageous amount to spend on chicken strips. I can go anywhere else and get fries, coleslaw and buns added for that same amount. That was the last time I will ever order 's again. I have been ordering them for many years now, but no more!

Went here to have a meal with some former co-workers of The Doctor's. Walking in I saw gambling machines next to the bar, which was kind of strange to see. We needed up getting mozzarella Sticks, Bosco Sticks (Fresh-baked breadsticks stuffed with mozzarella cheese and marinara dipping sauce, and pizzas. The mozzarella sticks were your basis cheese sticks, nothing to write home about. The Bosco Sticks were surprisingly good, I really enjoyed those, but you have to eat them while they are warm. The pizza was a bit of a mystery. The crust was very thin and crispy, almost cracker like and that was great. But the ingredients on that nice crust was devoid of any flavor as far as I was concerned. I honestly can't even describe what the taste was except that there didn't seem to be any: no salt, oregano, Italian seasoning....nothing. The bright spots of the evening was that they had prosecco and our server was attentive and nice. He hooked us up with a deal on getting two large pizzas. Too bad that they didn't taste like much, but appreciated the assist on the price reduction.

I asked for extra crispy and it was done perfect

I really enjoyed this location. The service was good (Thanks Junior), the pizza was great and really nice ambiance for everyone. You really can't miss at this location.

Excellent thin crust but unfortunately the service I recieved a week ago was atrocious ! I usually order every Wed. and last week I forgot my wallet at home and they don't accept Applepay . The pizza was already made and I live 10 miles away so I asked the order taker man if I can have the pizza now and since I'm going home,I'll cmake sure to call in the crerdit card number...... NOOOOOOO was the response and was abruptly cut off,

Place is very nice inside. Large and open spaces. For the most part clean, just don't look under the booth tables. Ordered a draft, never got it. Prices are outrageous for quality and quantity of food. $11 for 6 tiny mozzarella sticks. Insanity. Wait it was very friendly and got orders correct, minus the beer.

The mushroom and kale pie was nice and cheesy and the rocking vegan pie was more savoury, with a variety of vegetables and chickpeas as stuffing. The crust was neither too soft nor too crunchy. The highlight of the meal was the curry chips: potato wedges lightly fried with masala and curry leaves. The dipping sauce that came with the chips reminded me of tikka masala sauce, and paired beautifully with the chips. Dessert was toffee pudding: the caramel sauce that came with the pudding was delectable - the pudding itself was excellent and not overly sweet. We tried a variety of NA beers, and I was pleased with how many options they had. Service was quick, and we were well looked after. The ambiance is warm, with dim-ish lighting and a lot of dark wood. The restrooms were gorgeous - special shoutout to the lovely floral wallpaper. Overall, I highly recommend Pleasant House - the vibe is chill and understated and the food is stellar.

The sausage was very tasty, the breading on the outside was incredibly crisp, light, and the egg inside was cooked well. Both the steak pie and the chicken pie were very good. The chicken pie I think really needed the chutney that you can get separately. But that made it so much better and made it my preferred pie. The steak and ale pie was better than the chicken pie as a standalone, but needed a bit more gravy I think to elevate it. Sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Surprisingly light, not overly dense so I was glad it came with the custard which was very flavorful. Overall, will definitely return!

The menu sounded delicious. They serve a complimentary bread with butter, but we didn't receive any until we noticed another table did as soon as they sat down. So I asked. And eventually someone brought exactly two over and plopped them down on one of our very dirty, used plates. My favorite part was when the server so confidently plopped down the extremely burnt roll and scurried off. So I asked if they could bring out a new roll and butter. Never received either. To start we ordered the Burrata and the Steak Frites. The Burrata was good and I enjoyed the bread it was served with, but the tomatoes could've been in more bite-sized pieces since they were chunks. The Steak Frites was good too... the steak had the allusive butter. The fries were crisp, I didn't try the onion rings though. I wasn't intending to eat much of this dish, but without asking, the kitchen decided to fully split the dish. Not a big deal and I kind of get thinking. The bread thing was weird. Then there was this weird moment where they just tossed a box on the side of the table and scurried off again. The entire time I felt like my presence was inconveniencing them from doing their job. The whole thing felt awkward and gave a sense like they were bothered by something. Perhaps the way I was dressed, but it's a pub for crying out loud, and if I walked down the street to Le Colonial with how I was dressed, LC wouldn't have even batted an eye or had an attitude when it came to service.
