    Loaded tater tots

This place was amazing. The service is excellent, the food is delicious! Everything we tried was delicious!!! Had the loaded tater tots with bulgogi and dumplings and chicken wings. All were excellent and so tasty. Arrived hot and all so flavorful! Can't wait to come back.

We came in to watch the NBA finals and wow what a hidden gem! It's in a very unassuming plaza but the vibes were totally on point! It's kind of a divey sports bar, with a very friendly and personable owner, and extremely chill vibes. But still a good time! I am kind of a low key person and don't like overcrowded places when I like to enjoy some booze so this place was right up my alley. They serve Korean-American fusion foods. We got the garlic and Asian zingy gizzards and they were so tasty! Also got the sweet potato shoe-string fries and I couldn't stop going back for more. Honestly would come back just to enjoy the fusion foods because it was definitely delicious (they have some traditional and authentic Korean dishes too)! I feel like many Korean American places popping up may have similar concepts in terms of fusion foods but the execution here is on a different level. You can definitely taste the depth of flavors and soul of the food much more! Can't wait to try more!

Absolutely amazing. They do NOT skimp on the proportions of their gyoza. The owner was very knowledgeable and explaining to us new customers the different types of Korean cuisines he grew up with. Pretty cool. Relatively affordable for the quality and quantity you get. Really loved the low key and laid back vibes. It was something different and I'm glad we tried it. Their rice cakes were awesome. Chicken was on ten. Everything was just very tasty and everything I imagined authentic Korean would taste like. Nom nom nom.

I could tell they were short staffed when the waiter commented about their four burner stove. Despite the wait, I thought that the food was phenomenal. Note that my group of friends probably picked the best foods on the menu given the amount of times they've been to the restaurant. Personally, my favorite dishes were the Ya Chae Soo Jae Bi (soup), Crispy Maek Juk and Seafood Jun. The soup was very flavorful and was filled with fresh, quality ingredients. The Crispy Maek Juk was crispy on the outside and had the right amount of chew. I was also very impressed by the Seafood Jun in that they used size-able chucks of octopus. One slight recommendation is to turn up the lighting in the dining area. Otherwise, I would definitely return to try other things on the menu.

I should have written a review on BDG a few months ago, when my kids and I first tried this place but I was not really happy with the super long wait for our food. There was a big group of women who came at the same time as we did, so I guess the orders to the kitchen came all at the same time. The lay out inside is kind of confusing for me because there is a big space going towards the bar area and there are a couple of booths on one side and high tables and seats on the other side. I guess since it is focused more on being a bar rather than a place to dine. I decided to try this place again with a friend one Saturday night. We came around 7:30pm and sat at the bar, where a couple of people were eating and drinking. Jun, the owner/chef/bartender greeted us and was like our long time friend until we left a few hours later. He was not just a chatty and funny person, but he is very dedicated and intense about his food and his place. He explained the process, ingredients, and what makes the dish unique...while he personally served the food to us. Here are the items that I have tried on my visits. BULGOGI BURGER- Huge! You would not be asking for more meat here. The bulgogi is very tender and flavorful. The tater tots that came with, were also great. STIR FRIED SPICY OCTOPUS- Perfect amount of heat in the sauce and the octopus had great texture. SPICY PORK TACOS- Delicious. The pork was tender and had amazing kick in it. Everything that was on top of each taco gave so much flavor and texture in each bite, without overpowering the meat. FRIED CHICKEN (Spicy House Sauce)- Outstanding. GRILLED EEL- Excellent. The side of radish also cleanses your palate from the sweet sauce on the fish. BULGOGI TACOS- The house made kimchi is phenomenal! This goes in each taco instead of the usual taco toppings. At around 8pm, people kept coming in and they are mostly in groups so the vibe of the whole place became loud, happy and fun. Most of the guests were there to drink and a few ordered something to eat. Each dish that came out looked and smelled amazing. I would like to try one of their kimchi soups next time I come, because everyone seemed to be ordering and loving them. I would definitely go back, both to eat and also to just have a laid back bar experience. Another plus is that it is so closeby and no problem with parking. I will continue to support this small and local business, which is owned and ran by a good-natured and passionate guy (who also loves taking and giving whiskey shots). 'Til next time!

Soju/fruit mix pitcher. We put a fork in there to mix the drink

On a Friday 6:30pm, it was pretty empty until about 8 pm and people started to steadily trickle in. I was surprised at how busy it got. Lots of Korean fusion foods on the menu like bulgogi tacos. Donkatsu burger: recommended by the waitress. It was larger than I thought it would be. You could share it with a friend. The bread crumbs were crispy and the meat itself was juicy. Came with pickles, tater tots and some spicy mustard sauce. Fruit Soju pitchers: comes in a large pitcher with Soju shot glasses. Ordered the watermelon and strawberry. It seemed like they used real watermelon because of the foam you see when you make smoothies. The foam takes a bit of space and you get less so I recommend the strawberry over watermelon. The drinks are easy to drink so be careful because it'll creep up on you. Good place to hangout with your friends. It's a small place, but there were plenty of seats. Service could have been a little better. If you need something quickly or need to order, finding the server would be quicker.

Tried Spicy octopus stir fry today. It's quite SPiCy! But the flavor was amazing! The octopus legs were fat and fresh, tender, but a bit chewy for me but my hubby loved it! I really liked the veggies and the mushroom cuts in the stir fry. Super fresh and tasty. We learned from last time to order rice on the side today instead eating just the dish. They have the best Asian drink snacks mix. Server remembered us! Oh, and the music selection they play is on point, brings back memories from the 2000s!

Our group shared the following: popcorn chicken, stir-fried chicken gizzards, fried eggs with Spam, corn cheese, truffle French fries, seafood pancake, bossam (pork belly, shrimp paste, lettuce wrap), rose tteokbokki, steamed egg souffle with cheese, spam and kimchi fried rice, station noodles (beef broth, veggies), and strawberry bingsoo. My favorite of the night was the rose tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was perfectly chewy and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. The popcorn chicken was also good and paired well with the sauce it came with. The bossam was on the dry side and the seafood pancake was pretty standard. The fries were good but wouldn't pay $10 for a basket of fries if we came back next time. The corn cheese was also good but the plate was small. There was a call button at each table which was convenient. Food came out individually as it was ready instead of all at once which was to be expected for our party size.

Nice ambiance that's casual enough to feel comfortable bringing my kids, but upscale enough for the evening to feel like a nice night out. Loved the appies - we got the cauliflower hummus and deviled eggs - highly recommend both. As for entrees, chicken sandwich was perfectly fried crispy with not too much breading, on a biscuit. Fries were just ok. They were unfortunately out of the schnitzel I wanted to try so I had the halibut special instead. The fish was perfectly cooked, but the composition of the fish was rather confusing - the lobster bisque-like sauce was fantastic on its own, but overpowered the delicate halibut. The crispy yuca strips went perfectly with the fish, but the dish was finished off with lots of shishito peppers - again, way too overpowering. I would have preferred a much subtler vegetable. Kids Mac and cheese was fantastic, with a hint of what I think was thyme. The drink list was heavily spirit -forward. I ended up getting a sangria which was good, but my husband thought the old fashioned was terrible. The balance of spirit vs bitters was completely off, plus it was served over tiny ice instead of a large cube. To top it all off, the cherry was muddled.

However me and my bestie couldn't figure out how to make it happen on a 20,000 labor organizer salary lmao. So we remain on the east coast while my swagger jacking little brother paints the Windy City red. Anyway because he's so in love with this city and knows its in and outs, I often send him dubious "influencer content" of recent transplants that act like just because THEY just Columbus'd a new spot it must be new to EVERYONE. I'll try to be short, but want to give a true account of the events. Yesterday I came from the city via Metra late afternoon with another friend to visit a dear friend that moved to Cary a few years ago. Cary is far & we rarely see one another. Needless to say, we were super excited to for this mini-reunion & for our friend to show us a slice of Cary. It was not the best planning being St Paddy's weekend but so be it. We specifically looked for a place we could easily talk & catch up. We started w/ one chocolate martini at Cucina Rustica and chatted OVER an HOUR. Little did we know, we should have stayed there. Next stop, Cary RACIST Ale House. The back area lounge was nearly empty & we were assured it was open (not booked for any events). The waitress, at the start aggressively asked a bunch of questions. I first thought her line of questioning was bizarre so I ignored her while trying to figure out what to order. She asked how we got there, who was driving & specifically said she didn't feel comfortable in serving me. WTF?!?!? My friend politely answered her questions and when she left, we all agreed the waitress's behavior was odd & laughed it off. We refused to have her ruin our evening. To our SHOCK the waitress would NOT serve me?! Only me! Was I disruptive? NO! Was I being violent or doing something illegal? NO! Did I come in stumbling? NO! Was I slumped over passed out? NO! This was crazy! Check your security cameras if you don't believe! Was this a bad twilight zone episode? Was someone going to tell us this was all a joke? I was speechless. We asked her why. She said it was a management decision. What?! Interesting since no one came to talk to us aside from her. We asked her to explain, to get some understanding. You will NOT believe what she said....she said it was my eyes. I looked at my two white friends & asked if something was wrong with my eyes? No, nothing is wrong. WOW, she basically said my Asian eyes were an issue. Falsely claiming I was drunk and couldn't be served because she didn't like Asian-looking eyes?!?! I was stone cold sober ***hole! We were all completely sober & flabbergasted! Completely disgusted, we left. I thought about brushing this aside but I wouldn't want anyone else to be treated that way. I will not allow them to humiliate me. This was supposed to be a happy occasion, and it was spoiled by a bigoted, small-minded person. I don't know how these people can live with themselves.
