On 11/14/25 the roof repairs started and was completed in about 3 hours. It took seven days to repair my roof from the day I called. Just in time before the rain started. New Era was one of the few that got back to me and bid the job on short notice, and their price was reasonable. They showed up, did the job, and when I asked them to replace any damp insulation and charge me extra, they went above and beyond, even going to buy a new roll of insulation and charging me zero extra except the cost of the materials. If that wasn't enough, when they found out that I was replacing the roofing myself, they gave me a bunch of advice, dropped off some extra flashing and vent covers I was missing (again, free of charge), loaned me some tools, and even showed up and showed me some tricks to shingling valleys about midway through the job. Excellent service, can't recommend highly enough.

They were prompt in coming out but the bid was exceptionally high. My husband and I were in Real Estate and Property Management for 30+ years in the area (He is a Retired Broker). We have had roofs fixed and replaced over the years. We had a roof replaced a few years back on a home for around $20K and they did a great job. This estimate was for almost $12K for a leak fix. Reading the repairs that they were going to do made no sense at all, it was over-kill. And then to get a note back after my complaint telling me the same thing listed on the estimate still made no sense. It was an easy request, "just fix the leak", no extra this or that unless you can prove it. We had three other estimates from top Roofers in Reno take a look at it. The lowest bid was $1,400 and the highest was $1,800. This is way off from the almost $12,000 I was quoted. We were looking for a fair deal and therefore, we will chose one of the other companies. One of them has done exceptional work in the past but they do get busy. That is the main reason I was getting more estimates since it is hard to wait when you have a leak. But if I save ten grand, I can wait. The picture shows proof of the estimate and the charges minus my personal information. I will let you decide if you should use this Roofer.

This was the second time we used Lobo roofing. Our house needed a new roof based on insurance…read morerequirement. However we had to pay out of pocket all of it. So we shopped around. Ed and Shay helped develop and coordinate the project. Extra steep, three layers. Cedar shake. Everything to make it a challenge for the removal. On top of all of that there was rain, the one time we have rain this summer. It ended up being a 2 week project that they obviously had to do in between other projects. The roof came out nice and now fully vented up to code. Some suggestions for improvement for lobo: perhaps show clients shingle options before work has started. Also some communication leading up would be nice. But overall they did well on this challenging project.
