From the moment I walked in the owner was very rude. I came here before because they overcharged me for a service. I did not ask for a particular service and u didn't it anyway without asking me " the parent" so YES I left a one star review. When I asked for my daughter to get her nails done, then you charge me for a pedicure and hot massage which is something that I did not ask for. I decided to come in today for a regular gel fill hoping that you can act like an adult and have some professionalism and move forward but instead as I walk in, no hello no how are you , instead you are very rude as you smile with "you're the one that left the low review ." As you all know, reviews are so important for businesses nowadays, and customers look at yelp before they choose a nail salon. The technician did a good job on my toe nails, but the massage left me bruises on both legs. She was rubbing my shin bone more than my muscle, I can feel soreness, luckily that part of my leg isn't bruised too. read more

I moved up the hill to Placerville two years ago. I have tried every single nail salon IN Placerville. I ended up going to a salon in Folsom next to where I get my massages. After my tech left the salon, I was stuck again trying to find a new salon. D and D was recommended by my doctor's nurse. That was six months ago and I have been extremely happy with Tina, Julie, Ryan and all the techs at D and D. After the first of the year, they remodeled and I must say it is so beautifully decorated with fancy shiny chandeliers and it feels soooo upscale. Glad I finally tried D and D out. I got a gel pedicure and a dip manicure and I was very pleased with the colors to choose from. Ryan was great and the lady who did my pedicure was nice too. I didn't feel they rushed and they did a good job. I'm happy to have a place near home now! My only negative is my cuticles on my manicure are a bit rough still but I've been getting dip manis for a long time and it doesn't seem like any please does an actual manicure to remove cuticles anymore and the dremel does just an okay job. This is by far the best nail place I have ever been to! Everyone that works here is incredible. I have been Ryan's client for years; he is absolutely AMAZING. He is so detailed with even the most difficult designs and artwork, and I have never left an appointment with him with my nails looking anything less than perfect. I recently started school at UCLA and have tried a couple nail places down there, and no salon, even those in LA, can compare to this one. I now plan my nail appointments around when I'm home from school because I refuse to go anywhere else! Came in for a removal as I work close. Anytime I've ever asked for one it's been a soak off. They took a tip of another nail to pry off my full set. It was incredibly painful and I ended up bleeding under my nail the nail tech just wiped my blood on the towel and kept going over the nail that was bleeding!!! (Breaking blood exposure prodical) I was charged 15 bucks to have my nails painfully ripped off and my normal tech said there was definite damage done to my nails from this. Never again. read more
