In town on business. Found this great low key downtown bar and grill. First night had delivery to hotel. Grilled chicken salad was perfect, I was totally impressed how everything was packaged separately and my grilled chicken arrived warm and my salad greens were still crisp smartly packaged package all separately. My colleague and I visited this downtown little establishment the next night and had the sincere opportunity to meet the owner and the chef - enjoyed our burgers and fried pickles and cold beer. Everything was perfect, Kyle was friendly and helpful server / bartender. Atmosphere was low-key and just what we needed after a long day of work. Highly recommend! read more

I've been in St Joe for over a decade now and I'm ashamed to admit that it has taken me this long to eat here. The food was wonderful! Some people recommend this place, and some don't. I never should have listened to those who are not fans. My husband got 4 twisteds--2 chicken and one of each of the other flavors. They were all so good. And the fresh fried chips were delicious too. I got the fried swai. My husband is not a fan of fish but he kept stealing bites off my plate, it was that good. The batter was light and crisp. And the portion was huge. I LOVED the honey mustard coleslaw. I'm a slaw snob, and I have high standards. I look forward to eating the slaw again. The garlic Parmesan broccoli was good too. We will be back. read more

Met a couple of friends for dinner there while I was in town. Was not crowded but it was a holiday Monday. The theme is interesting, dead musicians and plenty of guitars on the wall. All their food is named after musicians. I had the Hank Williams hamburger, with spicy bacon jam, Cheddar cheese, and a couple of fried onion. The burger was delicious, the bacon jam not overly spicy for me but worked well. Great burger. Came with seasoned fries, also quite good. They brew some of their own beer, which both my friends and I thought they still had a little ways to go to perfect that. I had their Irish Stout which wasn't bad. A little more bitter than Guinness but ok. Definitely great food for a bar, and their craft beer will get there soon. Parking is around back. read more

This pub was fabulous in so many ways: food, service, atmosphere--all outstanding. The service was top notch; they checked in frequently to make sure we had everything that we needed. We started with the chips and salsa; I was curious about the chips after reading other reviews. They were unique and very tasty. My husband got the Johnny Cash burger and said it was really good (it looked good). He said the fries were fabulous. I didn't just take his word for it - I tried one. He was right; I would've liked to have tried some more! I got the Big Bopper salad with fried chicken and ranch dressing. It was okay, not bad at all. But not great. The fried chicken wasn't very crispy and didn't have much flavor; the ranch dressing was pretty blah as well. However, the salad itself was huge, and everything was fresh. For dessert, we got the Patsy Cline funnel cake fries. They were delish, although it is hard to go wrong there! They came out hot and sprinkled with powder sugar; maple syrup was on the side for dipping. Definitely a fun atmosphere and vibe! Pretty clean and neat too. We had a party of 13 and our service was excellent. Everyone was very happy with their meals. I hear the tenderloin is the thing to get but my burger was delicious. Fried pickles were so good too! I enjoyed the belgian ale. The chips and salsa were unlike any I have had before. The chips were freshly made to order, well seasoned, and thick but a little soft which doesn't sound like it would be good but they were absolutely delicious. The kind you just can't stop eating. Never had chips like that before but can't stop thinking about them. Should I find myself in this town again I will most definitely be back! read more

Notably, the fish tacos are called Freddy Mercury, though I'm not sure why anyone would want mercury in their fish! Neat place! Bigger than it looks. Seems clean. Staff always nice. The food seems to be all made in house...not the Sysco or similar premade crap most of the other bars are selling. There is a wide variety of options. We've had the tenderloins the last few times and they are wonderful. Burgers are great too. The service can be slow. It's about 15 for sandwich and side. For sure give it a try. I'd have to say this has moved into the best bar food in town category. Well I guess one of the best places to eat period. My friend and I went here for a late night dinner after enjoying some after-work drinks. It was after 9pm so at that time they halt full-service and offer a limited late night menu of food options. This limited menu is obviously limited but it has a lot of fried food options and offers a salad option if you want more than just fried food. May I just say that the food here is delicious. It goes above and beyond the standard for bar food, so if you want bar food in St Joe, pay a visit to D&G to get something a little extra special. I have one thing to say regarding their late night service. I would highly recommend that if servers will not be waiting on individual tables, and patrons are expected to go to the bar to place their orders, I recommend that a small part of the bar be set up where orders can be placed and payments can occur near the computer/register. My friend and I had to try and scoot between the patrons sitting at the bar and it felt uncomfortable to have to crowd them in order to place our order and pay. This will also make it easier to ask questions about the menu or make special requests. The simple fix would be to simply keep 1 or 2 chairs from being placed in the area directly in front of the register. If this were the case, I definitely give a 5-star review. read more

My drink was delicious and the bartender, Matt, was friendly and personable. He explained that because I'd arrived so late they were on their late night menu so I ordered the most interesting option, 2 bratwurst and fries. I get my brats .....and they taste like nothing. Soft, nearly flavorless nothing brats on a cheap, soft, straight out o' the plastic bag, nothing bun. Literally the sauerkraut tasted better that the brats. And my fries weren't cooked. They were soft and mushy and gross. My experience went from great to disappointing in three items. I considered sending it back. I should have asked for a refund on the food, finished my drink and headed to a fast food place for dinner. A fast food burger would have been more satisfying. And fast food fries would have been far, far better. read more

I'm not even CLOSE to living by this place but so happened to be driving down i29 and overlooking places to eat. Honestly I asked siri go choose for me. I am SUPER GLAD I ended up here. The hospitality felt like I was just at home. Everyone that greeted us and waited on us felt like I knew them forever. My boyfriend and I have been coming here since we first started dating. It is the place to be! We've become regulars, to say the least. We're very adventurous when it comes to trying new things and D&G seems to always have something new for us to try. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Our favorite is Derek. He always had a big smile on his face when we come in! Treats us like old buds. Not to mention the owner is such a cool gal. The menu is entertaining and super fun. Love this local restaurant! The menu is clever. The food so delish (my absolute favorite chips and salsa.). The owners are wonderful people. Christina does it all. Bartend, waitress, co-owner. Personable and enthusiastic. You know she loves what she does. (My only connection to owner is as a satisfied repeat customer) There are variety of sitting atmospheres to choose from. Bar side has the traditional pub bar, and some high top tables. Dinning side has some table/booth combos, there is a party room that is pretty spacious and even some outdoor seating. The place is music themed. Most of their foods are named after legendary musicians. On the walls you'll find signed memorabilia from many artists. It is fun to look around. Attached is their music hall, Cafe Acoustic. This isn't the original location of Cafe Acoustic, but still the original owners. A bit narrow in space in some areas, but the best sound of any gig I have ever been to. I love going to live music here, because I know the system is quality and the Sound guy is skilled, it is going to be amazing music. I am not a drinker, so I can't speak to the alcohol. I know they have craft beers on tap and I think some local brews. They cook their food to order, it is custom and amazing. They are on Door Dash and Waitr food delivery apps. OMG get the wings!! They are phenomenal!! Went in on a Saturday evening and they didn't have a wait! I was shocked. The only issue I had was the limited Diet drink option. They have unsweetened tea, but if you don't like the "pink" packet ( sweet and low), bring your own sweetener or drink water, if you don't like tea without sweetener. read more
