Lynn was very reassuring and did a great job reinforcing the nail with dip and I assume some strengthening polish, plus gave me advice on when she thinks it will grow out long enough to cut it and get rid of the split. I wasn't in any pain and my nails look great! I was so nervous because I know some nail techs can be rough, but I left so relieved. The massage chair felt great, they were clean and safe wearing gloves and using a disposable cover for the foot bath. After showing a picture of what I was looking for they brought me shades of the color I wanted and were able to do a matte effect. I asked for gel X, and Lyly who did the gluing applied way too much glue. By the time I realized it, she had handed me off to a second nail tech to finish the job. After she removed the nails I asked her to just do acrylic French tip and I would pay the difference. When she was ready to polish my nails she tells me to pick a solid color because I am too picky and that I need to pay $60. Excuse me! Why is she insulting me and why is she charging me for brand new services. If I had known she wasn't going to honor her word I would have never returned. I have never walked out without paying but that was the day. She then calls me and tells me I need to pay $40. I end up paying her for the sake of ending the back and forth but let it be known that NOT only did she insult me, she ripped me off and lied to me, as well as harassed me. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the bottom of my nails. But I will upload one for reference. And I WILL block everyone's number because clearly Lyly didn't care about her customer's privacy when she sent me the screenshot. NEVER going here! Lyly is horrible. As a customer service business you need to give the customer what they are asking for and act professional.

I would have loved a sincere apology from Ellen but at least the owner seemed apologetic for my horrific experience. I will not be returning because I am not risking getting my cuticles cut and infected a third time. I hope they will learn from this and be more careful in the sensitive parts of a client's nails. ------------ Unfortunately I did not want to write this review but after receiving such a nonchalant response from the owner and nail artist themselves, I feel like it is my responsibility to write an honest review about my experience here. I had such a wonderful experience getting my nails done in Korea so I wanted to look up a place that offered Korean style nails. I found purrple nails which was conveniently located near me with a staff filled of Korean artists. My first experience was with Soo and she did fine I guess. I like that she was detailed about her design but she did cut my cuticle once and was very rough with drilling. For those who don't know, drilling gets hot and the artist should know to lift it every few seconds to not burn the person's skin. Because I liked the design so much, I made a second appointment to give another artist a try. This second appointment was with Ellen. She was sooo rough when it came down to removing the polish and cleaning and cutting the cuticles. One of my cuticles started bleeding a lot and she just used the dust to stop the bleeding but did not apologize once. I let it go. But after getting home, I noticed my cuticles and fingers were so tender and red. I decided to let time heal but it's been a week and my right thumb is still swollen and tender. It's painful to touch. I told the owner and Ellen and after some back and forth, they finally did apologize. However it left kind of a sour taste in my mouth because it just seemed like they brushed it off thinking 10 percent off the next appointment would really make up for the pain I'm having in my finger. Not sure if I will come back. The owner asked me to try another artist but how do I prevent this from happening a third time?

Horrible. Zero star…read more Made an appt and told them what I want done. My appt time was ~1.5 hours before they close. I was excited and drove 1/2 hour to try Korean nail salon. Prep for gel plus 1 extension took more than 2 hours then after the prep, they filed my nails down. They filed it so short and was unattentive that they filed off my skin and it started to bleed. It took longer than expected and I had to leave and was to return the next day. Thankfully I left because my filed down skin continued to bleed for an hour or more after. Gel and design took another ~2 hours. Total time almost 4 hours (+ 2 hours of driving time). Price was almost double other places I go to. Then less then 10 days after, the entire gel came off for one nail...next day, another...and next day a couple more. At least it came off neatly rather than chipped. At this point, I easily peeled off the rest. I messaged them and they offered to give me a free redo. Thank you but no thank you. I am not about to waste another 4+ hours and spend gas money all to risk getting an infection. Please hire properly trained and certified nail techs. Because other reviews have mentioned nail tech cutting down cuticles to the point of bleeding and nails chipping or coming off.

I received a text coupon from the salon for 15% off any service. My regular manicure and pedicure started off just fine. When I was asked to pay before getting my manicure, I mentioned that I had the coupon. The owner was there, Martha consulted with her, and they asked to see the text to verify the offer--which was completely reasonable. What happened next was not. While I was getting my manicure, Martha was openly discussing the coupon with the owner and another stylist in Vietnamese. The conversation was about how the service wasn't worth her time at 15% off, who was going to absorb the discount, how much she would take home, and how it would be entered into their iPad. She continued making comments about how I "only tip 15%" and that I "sit for hours." First, my tip should not be a topic of discussion among employees while I'm sitting right there. Second, I had just received a manicure and was sitting for approximately 20 minutes afterward to allow my nails to dry before leaving. That is hardly unreasonable. Today, after sitting for about 17 minutes following my manicure ( I was sure to time it), the hairstylist made another comment: "Wow, she sits so long." At that point, I packed up my things. As I walked out, with my 15% tip on the table, the owner said, "Thank you, have a good day." I responded, "I didn't realize it was such a problem to let my nails dry before I leave. I understood everything you guys said." Apparently, sitting for 20 minutes to let a manicure dry is too much to ask. Martha also brought up a comment I had made previously about a price increase. Yes, I did make a comment--and I think it's completely reasonable to be surprised when you are told after your services are completed that the price has increased. Why wasn't the price change communicated when I made the appointment or when I arrived? I wasn't objecting to the increase; I was surprised by the lack of communication. Customers should know the price of a service before it is performed so they can make an informed decision. What bothered me most was being made to feel like I was inconveniencing the salon by using a coupon they themselves sent me. If the salon doesn't want to honor a promotion, they shouldn't send it to customers. I've supported this business for years, but customers deserve to be able to use a legitimate promotion without being made to feel guilty about it--and they certainly deserve to sit quietly while their nails dry without being discussed by the staff. There are plenty of other salons where I can spend my hard-earned money and feel welcomed and respected and you should do the same!

Finding Charlie Kang Skin was truly a blessing. She worked with me and my skin to not only bring it back to where it used to be, but even better. Be prepared to spend a few hours here, I usually do microdermabrasion along with the cryotherapy facial, and it's absolutely worth the time and money. There are no frills, just real results. I've been to high-end skincare spots from Beverly Hills to Newport Beach, and no one compares to Charlie Kang Skin. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment you won't regret it.

Im not sure what the usual pricing is because it was my first time but I loved how my nails and toes turned out a lot! The place is really small and located inside the Style Box hair salon. They also have eyelash extension services as well. The whole process took about 3 hours. I checked in ~12:50 and left around 4:00. The nail technicians both took extra care for me! I loved how my nails turned out and I really appreciated them fitting me in even though I didn't know that I was supposed to let them know about the extensions in advance!
