This business, particularly the angry, bitter female owner, would be better served focusing on running the business and making customers happy rather than patrolling the shopping center parking lot, which at any given time is less than 25% full. This seems to be consistent with other reviews, in which the woman doesn't understand the connection between being friendly to people and having them want to shop at her store. read more

My husband gave me a necklace for Christmas and although cute, I just wasn't thrilled with it and he told me I should exchange it; apparently he had paid a lot for it. When I went to exchange it they were closed (this despite their posted hours on the receipt). However, I was due to go out of town and arrive home later than the store's 30 day exchange policy (no returns- and you'll see why here in a minute) so I made sure to call and ask if they would honor my exchange at 35 days to which they agreed. When I went in to do the exchange, the woman behind the counter was clearly annoyed not to mention about as friendly as a feral cat. She had to look up the receipt information (not sure why) and then told me to look around and see what else I would want. This was a daunting task seeing as there were about 12 items in my price range ($250). Apparently, they don't put out a large portion of inventory on Saturdays. The other attendant, a very kind and super sweet young lady (worth the extra star), was insistent on helping me find something though and showed me a couple of items that had been put away. I ended up choosing a tiny, single peridot stone necklace with a 10k gold chain. Did I mention the fact that the jewelry in this place was incredibly overpriced? Hmmm yeah, now I see why there are no returns (as I reprimanded my husband under my breath for spending so much money in this place). My other option would have been to come back during the week when they have more inventory to choose from. This makes absolutely no sense to me .... don't most people work during the week and have weekends free? Whatever. As I always say, time is money just the same. So I settled for the peridot necklace that I would NEVER have spent $250 on otherwise. I definitely do NOT recommend D & K jewelers. read more

I have not done this before but I think it is time and this is for sure the situation. I took a baldy worn and damaged bracelet in for repair and cleaning. I was worried as I did not have long until me event that I wanted to wear it. Now it was just silver. No Diamonds in it and not that special but important to me. They fixed it while I waited and cleaned it up so nice, I think it shinned better than when it had been made. After all that, it took about 15 min. to repair, the cost was less than a 6 pack of beer, $10. WOW!! I had an idea of adding three rubies to my wife's wedding ring in honor of our 40th anniversary, and to represent the three wonderful children from our union. At first, Dave was apprehensive. Went in to get a couple rings fixed. Claimed they could fix both of them. Came back a week or so later and one of them they actually couldn't fixed. Which was a bummer, wish they would've called and told me. Then the second ring was over 100$ to tighten stones and smooth out the inside. They didn't do either of that. What ever you do do not take your watch to this place to replace the battery. The guy first shorted out my watch because he didn't ground himself and then after I complained for weeks he finally ordered a replacement for the inside of the watch but he installed the winder/time setter wrong, or broke it. I have to take the watch to Right Time to have it fixed at who knows what cost. On top of that they belittled me for being concerned about my watch, which cost me close to $500 new. Incompetent arrogant idiots. How do people like this stay in business. read more

Took a ring to have a repair estimate done, when I made the comment other jewelers (three to be exact) told me other things needing to be fixed other then what I was being quoted, the comment that was made was "Well the go someplace else then." The owner Dave is a really nice guy, but the wife is CRABBY CRABBY! I told her that I didnt realize there was a specific charge for something and she pretty much yelled at me! YIKES! The young girl working the counter was mortified, and pretty much said this is a common occurance. I am not the type of consumer that expects to have my toes kissed, I think thats ridiculous, but common courtesy should be a no-brainer. I was very nice to this lady. We took a brand new handcrafted engagement ring to get repaired; a small diamond on the shank had fallen out, and as our jeweler is in ireland, we thought we could trust a local jeweler to do the small job. We brought it in on Saturday, and they were going to be closed for the next few days, but the ladies at the counter kindly told us that the jeweler would be back in on Tuesday and would contact us. We made it very clear that we wanted to talk to him before working on the ring since we wanted to make sure since it was such a unique piece, that he would take responsibility should anything go wrong. So tuesday comes and we've heard nothing from them... not a huge deal, but we call around 5, knowing they close at 6, to make sure they'll be able to do the repair. They say they'll be able to do it, it will be ready wednesday. We forgot to ask about whether they could guarantee the rest of the piece. We call back, the girl who answers hardly lets us ask the question before she starts making excuses about how long it had taken (which wasnt a problem at all!) finally we get the question in, and can hear the jeweler (David) in the background telling her to tell us that she's the only one there. At this point, we seriously questioning the integrity of this place that is handling a very important and very expensive ring. So we tell them we want to pick it up. DO NOT do any work on it, and please put it aside for us. We get there, diamond has been replaced. Wrong size, different clarity. We talk to David at the counter, he says "the girls told me you thought this was an antique. It's not" uhhhhh, no, we know that it's not, we bought it new. unprovoked and ignoring our insistence that we know this to be true, he continues "well, just so you know its not an antique, I can tell because of the laser inscription." right..... So then we're being charged for a terrible job that we had asked him not to do. TLDR: Do not bring any piece of jewelry that you care for to this establishment. All of our requests were ignored, David was petty, and frankly did very poor, hurried work on our ring. read more

Well, I do have to say they do nice work...............BUT.......If you want an original piece of jewelry and pay a lot for the designing of it including all the computer work and the lost wax cast, don't count on it!!!! I paid for an original design and it is everywhere including the internet. I ran into someone with the same piece and was very upset. Great customer service. I brought in a few pieces of jewelry. My engagement ring which has lost a small diamond, a necklace needing a new chain and an antique ring that was missing a stone. WONT BE BACK - Watch is Dead Disappointed to say the least. I went in to have two watch batteries put in. Specifically told Charlotte that the watch was waterproof and asked if she was confident she could get it resealed. She said yes, I took the watch on vacation and as soon as I was in the lake it leaked like a sieve. I brought it back, she told me "Dave will take care of it". Got a voicemail, said my watch was all set. Went it to pick it up and the note on it said "Tommy is Toast". Meaning my Tommy Bahama watch. Dave told me that it was not there fault. The the watch looked like it had leaked before. It had not. DO NOT GO HERE FOR WATCH REPAIR or a Battery Change. read more

My fiance got my ring made here earlier this year. They did a great job, it truly is a beautiful piece. I went in to get it resized not long after, and the turn around was quick and the gentleman helping me was very helpful. Once I got the ring back, it didn't seem to fit correctly, still loose. I wasn't exactly sure and wanted to keep wearing it to make sure I wasn't taking it back for no reason, and I was quite busy to head in on top of that. I finally made a trip back into the store and it was a far less comfortable experience than previously. The owner barked at me saying "this is going to me your last free resizing!" and continued on without actually giving me a moment to speak, and explain what was going on. I was more than happy to pay for my resizing and what I had intended on doing to begin with but obviously wanted to go to the same shop it had been worked on as opposed to taking it elsewhere. Once she sized my finger, she realized it was at least a size and half bigger than it should have been (I wouldn't have known that initially, as I'm not sure exactly how they're supposed to fit). Although the tone changed at the end of the visit, it made me feel uncomfortable even bothering to go in there. It was turned around quickly, which I appreciate but they did say they would do a phone call follow up, which never happened. read more

I have made two trips here in the last month, having never been before. The staff, Owner, and his Wife are extremely welcoming and friendly. I have brought in two different watches that I had purchased for my Husband elsewhere but both too big for his wrist. The first time I came alone with another one of his watches from home and they helped me size it to his other watch for just $15. This last time I brought my Husband in the store to meet them and see their selection of jewelry. We love shopping small business and contributing to our community. The woman working that day not only took some links out for him on his 2nd new watch but she took one look at me and pointed out a necklace that would suit me perfectly. She took it out of the case and allowed me to walk around the store with it to see just how the different lighting brought out different colors of the stone. My Husband noted he's planning to return and buy it for me (good sales lady!) Again, another $15 for his watch to fit him and have the links removed carefully and given back in a bag just in case he ever needs it resized. Their customer service is what it's all about and we will definitely return for years to come! read more
